예레미야 47:1-48:47

 하나님께서는 우상을 숭배한 블레셋이 멸망할 것을 예고하셨다. 또한 사해 동편에 위치한 모압이 멸망할 것도 말씀하셨다. 하나님께서는 모압 족속이 멸망하는 이유가 물질 의뢰, 우상 숭배, 부패한 악의 만연, 하나님께 대한 교만, 이스라엘에 대한 조롱 때문이라고 밝히셨다. 그러나 말일에는 포로된 모압 거민이 회복될 것이라고 예고하셨다.
  
  블레셋에 대한 예언(47:1-47:7)    
 
  1. This is the word of the LORD that came to Jeremiah the prophet concerning the Philistines before Pharaoh attacked Gaza:
  2. This is what the LORD says: "See how the waters are rising in the north; they will become an overflowing torrent. They will overflow the land and everything in it, the towns and those who live in them. The people will cry out; all who dwell in the land will wail
  3. at the sound of the hoofs of galloping steeds, at the noise of enemy chariots and the rumble of their wheels. Fathers will not turn to help their children; their hands will hang limp.
  4. For the day has come to destroy all the Philistines and to cut off all survivors who could help Tyre and Sidon. The LORD is about to destroy the Philistines, the remnant from the coasts of Caphtor.
  5. Gaza will shave her head in mourning; Ashkelon will be silenced. O remnant on the plain, how long will you cut yourselves?
  1. 불레셋의 운명에 관하여, 야훼께서 예언자 예레미야를 시켜 파라오가 가자를 치기 전에 일러주신 말씀.
  2. "나 야훼가 선언한다. 북녘에서 물이 부풀어올라 홍수처럼 밀어닥치리라. 성읍과 주민 할 것 없이 온 나라를 휩쓸어가리니, 사람들이 아우성치며 그 땅의 백성들이 울부짖으리라.
  3. 요란스런 말발굽 소리 닥쳐드는 병거의 바퀴 소리 그 소리에 맥이 풀려 아비가 자식을 돌볼 겨를이 없으리라.
  4. 불레셋이 아주 망할 날이 왔다. 띠로와 시돈에서 원군이 올 마지막 길마저 끊기었다. 갑돌 섬에서 온 피난민의 후손, 불레셋족을 야훼께서 멸하신다.
  5. 가자 사람들에게는 머리 풀 일이 생겼고, 아스클론 사람들은 말문이 막히게 되었다. 거인족의 잔류민 아스돗 사람들은 언제까지 몸에 칼자국을 내며 애곡할 것인가?
  1. " 'Ah, sword of the LORD,' you cry, 'how long till you rest? Return to your scabbard; cease and be still.'
  2. But how can it rest when the LORD has commanded it, when he has ordered it to attack Ashkelon and the coast?"
  1. '아! 야훼의 칼아, 네가 난도질을 멈출 때는 언제인가? 제발 칼집에 들어가서 가만히 있어주려무나.' 한다마는
  2. 나 야훼가 시키는데 어찌 칼이 가만히 있겠느냐? 그 칼은 바닷가 아스클론까지 무찌르고 말리라."
 
  모압에 대한 예언(48:1-48:47)    
 
  1. Concerning Moab: This is what the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says: "Woe to Nebo, for it will be ruined. Kiriathaim will be disgraced and captured; the stronghold will be disgraced and shattered.
  2. Moab will be praised no more; in Heshbon men will plot her downfall: 'Come, let us put an end to that nation.' You too, O Madmen, will be silenced; the sword will pursue you.
  3. Listen to the cries from Horonaim, cries of great havoc and destruction.
  4. Moab will be broken; her little ones will cry out.
  5. They go up the way to Luhith, weeping bitterly as they go; on the road down to Horonaim anguished cries over the destruction are heard.
  1. 모압의 운명. "나 만군의 야훼가 이스라엘의 하느님으로서 선언한다. 느보의 처참한 꼴을 보아라. 적에게 짓밟혔구나. 키랴다임이 떨어지고 둔덕진 요새가 수라장이 되었으니,
  2. 모압의 영화가 사라졌구나. 적은 벌써 헤스본에 들어와 모압 민족을 단숨에 뿌리뽑을 작전을 짜고 있다. 마드멘아, 입을 닥쳐라. 칼이 너의 뒤를 쫓는다.
  3. 들어라, 아바림에서 울부짖는 소리, '우리 모두 짓밟혀 박살나게 되었구나.'
  4. '모압은 이제 박살났다.'고 울부짖는 소리가 소알에까지 들린다.
  5. 루힛 고개를 울며 오르고 호로나임으로 내려가면서 이제 모두 망했다고 울부짖는다.
  1. Flee! Run for your lives; become like a bush in the desert.
  2. Since you trust in your deeds and riches, you too will be taken captive, and Chemosh will go into exile, together with his priests and officials.
  3. The destroyer will come against every town, and not a town will escape. The valley will be ruined and the plateau destroyed, because the LORD has spoken.
  4. Put salt on Moab, for she will be laid waste ; her towns will become desolate, with no one to live in them.
  5. "A curse on him who is lax in doing the LORD's work! A curse on him who keeps his sword from bloodshed!
  1. '목숨이 아깝거든 도망쳐라. 광야를 내닫는 들노새처럼 달아나거라.'
  2. 그렇다, 너 모압은 네 손으로 만든 우상과 보화를 믿었으니 기어이 적의 수중에 떨어지고 말리라. 너희 사제들과 대신들도 섬기던 그모스 신과 함께 끌려가리라.
  3. 쳐들어오는 적군 앞에서 남아날 성 하나 없고, 골짜기도 고원도 폐허가 되리라. 이는 야훼의 말이라, 어김이 없다.
  4. 모압이 송두리째 허물어져서 그 성읍들이 인기척도 없는 돌무더기가 되거든 비석이나 세워주려무나.
  5. 야훼께서 시키신 일, 건성으로 하다가는 천벌을 받으리라. 칼을 뽑아 모압의 피를 흘리지 않다가는 천벌을 받으리라.
  1. "Moab has been at rest from youth, like wine left on its dregs, not poured from one jar to another-- she has not gone into exile. So she tastes as she did, and her aroma is unchanged.
  2. But days are coming," declares the LORD, "when I will send men who pour from jars, and they will pour her out; they will empty her jars and smash her jugs.
  3. Then Moab will be ashamed of Chemosh, as the house of Israel was ashamed when they trusted in Bethel.
  4. "How can you say, 'We are warriors, men valiant in battle'?
  5. Moab will be destroyed and her towns invaded; her finest young men will go down in the slaughter," declares the King, whose name is the LORD Almighty.
  1. 이 그릇 저 그릇에 옮겨 담지 않고 밑술이 가라앉은 채 말갛게 떠 있어 향기가 변하지 않고 맛이 한결같은 술처럼, 모압은 어릴 때부터 고이 자라, 아무데도 끌려간 적이 없더니.
  2. 나 이제 모압에 사람을 보내어 술을 옮겨 붓게 하리니, 그 날이 멀지 않다. 이는 내 말이라, 어김이 없다. 내가 그 술독을 비우고 술병들을 부수게 하리라.
  3. 이스라엘 가문이 베델을 믿던 일을 부끄러워하게 되었듯이 그날에 모압도 그모스 신을 믿던 일을 부끄러워하게 되리라.
  4. 너희는 스스로 용사라고, 날렵한 군인이라고 뽐내지만
  5. 적이 모압으로 쳐들어오는 날, 모압의 뽑힌 용사들은 끌려가 도륙을 당하리라. 만군의 야훼가 왕으로서 하는 말이다.
  1. "The fall of Moab is at hand; her calamity will come quickly.
  2. Mourn for her, all who live around her, all who know her fame; say, 'How broken is the mighty scepter, how broken the glorious staff!'
  3. "Come down from your glory and sit on the parched ground, O inhabitants of the Daughter of Dibon, for he who destroys Moab will come up against you and ruin your fortified cities.
  4. Stand by the road and watch, you who live in Aroer. Ask the man fleeing and the woman escaping, ask them, 'What has happened?'
  5. Moab is disgraced, for she is shattered. Wail and cry out! Announce by the Arnon that Moab is destroyed.
  1. 모압이 망할 날이 다가왔다. 돌연히 슬픈 운명이 닥쳐들었다.
  2. 인근 모든 나라들아, 슬퍼하여라. 모압과 친하던 자들아, 애도하여라. 권세와 영광이 하늘을 찌를 듯하더니, 어이하여 이렇게 꺾이었는가?'
  3. 수도 디본의 주민들아, 그 영광스런 자리에서 거름더미에 내려앉아라. 모압을 멸하러 온 자가 달려들어 너희의 요새들을 헐어버렸다.
  4. 아로엘의 주민들아, 한길에 나와 서서 살피며, 도망치는 피난민들에게 무슨 변이 났느냐고 물어보아라.
  5. 그들이 대답하리라. '모압이 망하였소. 이런 부끄러운 일이 어디 있겠소? 모압은 적의 손에 넘어갔다오. 아르논 강 가 사람들에게도 울면서 소리쳐 알려주시오.'
  1. Judgment has come to the plateau-- to Holon, Jahzah and Mephaath,
  2. to Dibon, Nebo and Beth Diblathaim,
  3. to Kiriathaim, Beth Gamul and Beth Meon,
  4. to Kerioth and Bozrah-- to all the towns of Moab, far and near.
  5. Moab's horn is cut off; her arm is broken," declares the LORD.
  1. 천벌이 이 고원 지대의 호론과 야사와 메바앗,
  2. 디본과 느보와 벳디블라다임,
  3. 키랴다임과 벳가물과 벳므온,
  4. 크리욧과 보스라와 모압 땅의 원근 각처 모든 성읍들에 내린다.

  1. "Make her drunk, for she has defied the LORD. Let Moab wallow in her vomit; let her be an object of ridicule.
  2. Was not Israel the object of your ridicule? Was she caught among thieves, that you shake your head in scorn whenever you speak of her?
  3. Abandon your towns and dwell among the rocks, you who live in Moab. Be like a dove that makes its nest at the mouth of a cave.
  4. "We have heard of Moab's pride-- her overweening pride and conceit, her pride and arrogance and the haughtiness of her heart.
  5. I know her insolence but it is futile," declares the LORD, "and her boasts accomplish nothing.
  1. 내 앞에서 자만하던 모압에게 취하도록 술을 먹여라. 그리하면 그가 토하고 그 토한 것 위에 뒹굴어 웃음거리가 되리라.
  2. 모압아, 네가 정녕 이스라엘을 비웃었느냐? 이스라엘이 도둑질하다가 들키기나 한 것처럼 너희가 말끝마다 입을 비쭉거리며 그를 빈정거렸느냐?
  3. 모압 백성들아, 벼랑에 둥지 트는 산비둘기처럼 성을 버리고 바위 틈에 가서 살아라.
  4. 우리는 들었다, 모압이 건방지다는 말을. 주제넘게 뻐기며 거만을 떨고 우쭐대며 거드럭거린다는 말을.
  5. 나 야훼가 말한다. 모압이 얼마나 실속 없이 허풍치며 거만을 떠는지 내가 안다.
  1. Therefore I wail over Moab, for all Moab I cry out, I moan for the men of Kir Hareseth.
  2. I weep for you, as Jazer weeps, O vines of Sibmah. Your branches spread as far as the sea; they reached as far as the sea of Jazer. The destroyer has fallen on your ripened fruit and grapes.
  3. Joy and gladness are gone from the orchards and fields of Moab. I have stopped the flow of wine from the presses; no one treads them with shouts of joy. Although there are shouts, they are not shouts of joy.
  4. "The sound of their cry rises from Heshbon to Elealeh and Jahaz, from Zoar as far as Horonaim and Eglath Shelishiyah, for even the waters of Nimrim are dried up.
  5. In Moab I will put an end to those who make offerings on the high places and burn incense to their gods," declares the LORD.
  1. 이제 나는 모압이 망하는 것을 애곡이나 하여주리라. 모압의 국민을 생각하고 울어나 주리라. 키르헤레스 시민들을 위하여 애도나 하여주리라.
  2. 시브마의 포도원아, 내가 너를 위하여 야젤을 생각하고 통곡하던 것보다 더욱 통곡하리라. 너의 새싹은 야젤에 미치고 사해에까지 뻗었건만, 여름 과일을 따고 포도를 거두려는데 적이 덮쳐와
  3. 기름진 땅 모압에서 기쁨과 흥을 앗아갔구나. 술틀에 넣어 찧을 포도가 동이 나 술틀을 밟는 흥겨운 노래조차 사라졌구나.
  4. 헤스본과 엘랄레에서 지르는 소리가 야하스까지 들린다. 소알에서 지르는 소리가 호로나임과 에글랏슬리시야까지 들린다. 그것은 니므림의 샘터까지 폐허가 되어 울부짖는 소리다.
  5. 나 야훼가 선언한다. 모압의 산당에서 제사를 올리며 그 신에게 분향하는 일을 내가 폐지하리라.
  1. "So my heart laments for Moab like a flute; it laments like a flute for the men of Kir Hareseth. The wealth they acquired is gone.
  2. Every head is shaved and every beard cut off; every hand is slashed and every waist is covered with sackcloth.
  3. On all the roofs in Moab and in the public squares there is nothing but mourning, for I have broken Moab like a jar that no one wants," declares the LORD.
  4. "How shattered she is! How they wail! How Moab turns her back in shame! Moab has become an object of ridicule, an object of horror to all those around her."
  5. This is what the LORD says: "Look! An eagle is swooping down, spreading its wings over Moab.
  1. 모압이 망한 것을 보고, 키르하레스에 쌓아둔 보화가 없어진 것을 보고 나의 마음은 피리 소리처럼 슬퍼졌다.
  2. 모압 사람들은 모두 머리를 깎고 수염을 자르고 손에 칼자국을 내고 삼베를 허리에 걸쳤구나.
  3. 모압의 지붕마다, 광장마다 울음 바다를 이루었구나. 마음에 들지 않는 그릇처럼 내가 모압을 부수었다. 야훼의 말이다.
  4. 아아, 모압은 망하였다. 너희는 울어라. 수치스럽게 등을 돌리고 쫓기게 되었구나. 이웃 모든 나라에 참혹한 모습을 보여 조롱거리가 되었구나.
  5. 나 야훼가 말한다. 적이 독수리처럼 날개를 펴고 모압을 내려 덮치니,
  1. Kerioth will be captured and the strongholds taken. In that day the hearts of Moab's warriors will be like the heart of a woman in labor.
  2. Moab will be destroyed as a nation because she defied the LORD.
  3. Terror and pit and snare await you, O people of Moab," declares the LORD.
  4. "Whoever flees from the terror will fall into a pit, whoever climbs out of the pit will be caught in a snare; for I will bring upon Moab the year of her punishment," declares the LORD.
  5. "In the shadow of Heshbon the fugitives stand helpless, for a fire has gone out from Heshbon, a blaze from the midst of Sihon; it burns the foreheads of Moab, the skulls of the noisy boasters.
  1. 성읍들은 함락되고 산성은 빼앗기리라. 그 날 모압의 용사들은 해산하는 여인의 심정이 되리라.
  2. 모압 백성은 내 앞에서 거만하였으므로 송두리째 망하게 되었다.
  3. 모압에 사는 자들아 두려움과 함정과 올가미가, 너희를 노리고 있다. 이는 내 말이라, 어김이 없다.
  4. 두려움에서 벗어나려다가 함정에 빠질 것이요, 함정에서 기어 올라오려다가 올가미에 걸리리라. 모압이 벌받을 때가 되었으므로 내가 이런 재앙을 내리는 것이다. 이는 내 말이라, 어김이 없다.
  5. 도망가다가 기진하여 헤스본에서 한숨 돌리려는데 시혼의 궁전자리, 헤스본에서 불길이 치솟아 수선을 잘 떠는 모압 백성의 귀밑머리와 정수리를 살라버렸다.
  1. Woe to you, O Moab! The people of Chemosh are destroyed; your sons are taken into exile and your daughters into captivity.
  2. "Yet I will restore the fortunes of Moab in days to come," declares the LORD. Here ends the judgment on Moab.
  1. 모압아, 너는 망하였다. 그모스 신의 백성은 끝장이 났다. 너희의 아들들은 사로잡혀 가고 너희의 딸들은 타국으로 끌려간다.
  2. 그러나 훗날 내가 모압의 본토도 수복시켜 주리라. 야훼의 말이라, 어김이 없다." 이상이 모압에 내리신 판결문이다.
