아모스 7:1-8:14

 아모스는 황충, 불, 다림줄 환상에 이어 여름 실과의 환상을 보았다. 황충과 불의 환상은 북이스라엘의 멸망과 하나님의 심판에 대한 경고를, 다림줄과 여름 실과의 환상은 회개치 않은 북이스라엘에 대한 하나님의 심판이 확정되었음을 보여 주는 것이었다. 아모스는 심판의 날에는 절망적인 애곡과 하나님의 말씀에 대한 극심한 영적 기갈이 있을 것이라고 예언하였다.
  
  아모스의 환상(7:1-8:14)    
 
  1. This is what the Sovereign LORD showed me: He was preparing swarms of locusts after the king's share had been harvested and just as the second crop was coming up.
  2. When they had stripped the land clean, I cried out, "Sovereign LORD, forgive! How can Jacob survive? He is so small!"
  3. So the LORD relented. "This will not happen," the LORD said.
  4. This is what the Sovereign LORD showed me: The Sovereign LORD was calling for judgment by fire; it dried up the great deep and devoured the land.
  5. Then I cried out, "Sovereign LORD, I beg you, stop! How can Jacob survive? He is so small!"
  1. 주 야훼께서 나에게 이런 광경을 보여주셨다. 왕에게 바칠 보리를 벤 다음 두 번째 보리가 막 자랄 무렵인데,
  2. 메뚜기가 떼를 지어오더니 땅의 푸른 풀을 모조리 갉아먹는 것이었다. 이것을 보며 빌었다. "야훼 나의 주님, 야곱은 약할 대로 약해졌습니다. 이 이상 더 견뎌낼 것 같지 않습니다.
  3. 용서해 주십시오." 야훼께서는 "그만해 두겠다." 하시면서 당신의 뜻을 돌이키셨다.
  4. 다음으로 주 야훼께서 나에게 보여주신 광경은 이런 것이었다. 야훼께서 그 많은 지하수를 모조리 말리시고 온 땅을 태우시려고 거센 불길을 일으키셨다.
  5. 이것을 보고 나는 빌었다. "야훼 나의 주님, 제발 멈추어주십시오. 야곱은 약할 대로 약해졌습니다. 이 이상 더 견뎌낼 것 같지 않습니다."
  1. So the LORD relented. "This will not happen either," the Sovereign LORD said.
  2. This is what he showed me: The Lord was standing by a wall that had been built true to plumb, with a plumb line in his hand.
  3. And the LORD asked me, "What do you see, Amos?" "A plumb line," I replied. Then the Lord said, "Look, I am setting a plumb line among my people Israel; I will spare them no longer.
  4. "The high places of Isaac will be destroyed and the sanctuaries of Israel will be ruined; with my sword I will rise against the house of Jeroboam."
  5. Then Amaziah the priest of Bethel sent a message to Jeroboam king of Israel: "Amos is raising a conspiracy against you in the very heart of Israel. The land cannot bear all his words.
  1. 야훼께서 "이것도 그만해 두겠다." 하시면서 당신의 뜻을 돌이키셨다.
  2. 야훼께서 나에게 다시 보여주신 광경은 이런 것이었다. 누군가 돌담 옆에다 다림줄을 대어보고 있었다.
  3. 그 때 야훼께서 나에게 물으셨다. "아모스야, 무엇이 보이느냐?" 내가 다림줄이 보인다고 대답하자, 야훼께서 말씀하셨다. "나 이제 다림줄을 내 백성 이스라엘 한가운데 드리웠다. 더 이상 이스라엘을 용서할 수 없다.
  4. 이사악의 산당은 쑥밭이 되고 이스라엘의 성소들은 폐허가 되리라. 나는 칼을 들어 여로보암의 나라를 치리라."
  5. 베델의 사제 아마지야가 이스라엘 왕 여로보암에게 사람을 보내 보고하였다. "아모스라는 자가 우리 이스라엘 한가운데 들어와 임금님께 반란을 일으키려고 합니다. 그자는 이 나라를 망칠 소리만 하고 있습니다.
  1. For this is what Amos is saying: " 'Jeroboam will die by the sword, and Israel will surely go into exile, away from their native land.' "
  2. Then Amaziah said to Amos, "Get out, you seer! Go back to the land of Judah. Earn your bread there and do your prophesying there.
  3. Don't prophesy anymore at Bethel, because this is the king's sanctuary and the temple of the kingdom."
  4. Amos answered Amaziah, "I was neither a prophet nor a prophet's son, but I was a shepherd, and I also took care of sycamore-fig trees.
  5. But the LORD took me from tending the flock and said to me, 'Go, prophesy to my people Israel.'
  1. 임금님께서는 칼에 맞아 돌아가시겠고, 이스라엘 백성은 사로잡혀 포로의 신세가 되어 이 땅을 떠나리라고 떠들어댑니다."
  2. 그리고 나서 아마지야는 아모스에게 말하였다. "이 선견자야, 당장 여기를 떠나 유다 나라로 사라져라. 거기 가서나 예언자 노릇을 하며 밥을 벌어 먹어라.
  3. 다시는 하느님을 팔아 베델에서 입을 열지 마라. 여기는 왕의 성소요 왕실 성전이다."
  4. 아모스가 아마지야에게 대답했다. "나는 본시 예언자가 아니다. 예언자의 무리에 어울린 적도 없는 사람이다. 나는 목자요 돌무화과를 가꾸는 농부다.
  5. 나는 양떼를 몰고 다니다가 야훼께 잡힌 사람이다. 당신의 백성 이스라엘에게 가서 말을 전하라고 하시는 야훼의 분부를 받고 왔을 뿐이다.
  1. Now then, hear the word of the LORD. You say, " 'Do not prophesy against Israel, and stop preaching against the house of Isaac.'
  2. "Therefore this is what the LORD says: " 'Your wife will become a prostitute in the city, and your sons and daughters will fall by the sword. Your land will be measured and divided up, and you yourself will die in a pagan country. And Israel will certainly go into exile, away from their native land.' "
  1. 그러니 너는 이제 야훼의 말씀을 들어라. 너는 나더러 하느님을 팔아 너희 이스라엘 백성과, 이사악의 가문을 치지 말라고 하지만,
  2. 바로 그 때문에 야훼께서는 이렇게 말씀하신다. '네 아내는 바로 이 성읍에서 몸을 팔고 네 아들딸은 칼에 맞아 쓰러지며 네 농토는 남이 측량하여 나눠가지고 너는 사로잡혀간 그 더러운 땅에서 죽겠고 이스라엘 백성은 사로잡혀 고국을 등지고 떠나가게 되리라.'"
 
 
  1. This is what the Sovereign LORD showed me: a basket of ripe fruit.
  2. "What do you see, Amos?" he asked. "A basket of ripe fruit," I answered. Then the LORD said to me, "The time is ripe for my people Israel; I will spare them no longer.
  3. "In that day," declares the Sovereign LORD, "the songs in the temple will turn to wailing. Many, many bodies--flung everywhere! Silence!"
  4. Hear this, you who trample the needy and do away with the poor of the land,
  5. saying, "When will the New Moon be over that we may sell grain, and the Sabbath be ended that we may market wheat?"-- skimping the measure, boosting the price and cheating with dishonest scales,
  1. 다시 주 야훼께서 보여주신 것은 다 익은 과일 한 바구니였다.
  2. 야훼께서 나에게 이렇게 물으셨다. "아모스야, 무엇이 보이느냐?" "다 익은 과일 한 바구니가 보입니다." 하고 내가 아뢰자, 야훼께서 나에게 말씀하셨다. "내 백성 이스라엘도 그 모양이니, 이젠 될 대로 다 되었다. 더 용서해 줄 수도 없구나.
  3. 그 날이 오면, 궁궐에서 노래하는 여자들도 울부짖으리라. -주 야훼의 말씀이시다. 간 데마다 버려진 시체투성이가 되리라."
  4. 이 말을 들어라. 가난한 사람을 짓밟고 흙에 묻혀 사는 천더기의 숨통을 끊는 자들아,
  5. 겨우 한다는 소리가 "곡식을 팔아야 하겠는데 초하루 축제는 언제 지나지? 밀을 팔아야 하겠는데 안식일은 언제 지나지? 되는 작게, 추는 크게 만들고 가짜 저울로 속이며
  1. buying the poor with silver and the needy for a pair of sandals, selling even the sweepings with the wheat.
  2. The LORD has sworn by the Pride of Jacob: "I will never forget anything they have done.
  3. "Will not the land tremble for this, and all who live in it mourn? The whole land will rise like the Nile; it will be stirred up and then sink like the river of Egypt.
  4. "In that day," declares the Sovereign LORD, "I will make the sun go down at noon and darken the earth in broad daylight.
  5. I will turn your religious feasts into mourning and all your singing into weeping. I will make all of you wear sackcloth and shave your heads. I will make that time like mourning for an only son and the end of it like a bitter day.
  1. 등겨까지 팔아먹어야지. 힘없는 자, 빚돈에 종으로 삼고 미투리 한 켤레 값에 가난한 자, 종으로 부려먹어야지." 하는 자들아.
  2. 야훼께서는 야곱이 자랑으로 여기는 당신의 이름을 걸고 맹세하신다. "나는 이 백성이 한 일을 결코 잊지 않으리라.
  3. 그리하여 땅은 뒤틀리고 거기 사는 사람은 모두 찌들리라. 이집트의 나일 강처럼 부풀어올랐다가 잦아들리라.
  4. 그 날이 와서 대낮에 해가 꺼지고 백주에 땅이 캄캄해지거든, 모두 내가 한 일인 줄 알아라. -주 야훼의 말씀이시다.
  5. 순례절에도 통곡 소리 터지고 흥겨운 노랫소리 그치며 상여 소리 구슬피 퍼지리라. 모두들 굵은 베를 허리에 걸치고 머리를 밀며 외아들이라도 잃은 듯 통곡하리라. 마지막 날은 이런 비극으로 끝나리라.
  1. "The days are coming," declares the Sovereign LORD, "when I will send a famine through the land-- not a famine of food or a thirst for water, but a famine of hearing the words of the LORD.
  2. Men will stagger from sea to sea and wander from north to east, searching for the word of the LORD, but they will not find it.
  3. "In that day "the lovely young women and strong young men will faint because of thirst.
  4. They who swear by the shame of Samaria, or say, 'As surely as your god lives, O Dan,' or, 'As surely as the god of Beersheba lives'-- they will fall, never to rise again."
  1. 내가 이 땅에 기근을 내릴 날이 멀지 않았다. -주 야훼의 말씀이시다. 양식이 없어 배고픈 것이 아니요, 물이 없어 목마른 것이 아니라, 야훼의 말씀을 들을 수 없어 굶주린 것이다.
  2. 이 바다에서 저 바다로 헤매고 북녘에서 동녘으로 돌아다니며 야훼의 말씀을 찾아도 들을 수 없는 세상이다.
  3. 그 날이 오면 아름답고 씩씩한 젊은 남녀들도 목이 타서 쓰러지리라.
  4. 사마리아 여신 아시마를 두고 맹세하는 것들, 단의 신이 살아 있다 하고 브엘세바의 신 도드도 살아 있다면서 그 신을 두고 맹세하는 것들은 모두 쓰러져 다시 일어나지 못하리라."
 
  훼파(毁破, 7:9)  헐어서 깨뜨림  
  잿밀( 8:6)  밀이 땅에 떨어진 것, 또는 체에서 떨어진 쭉정이
