- "When you see 'the abomination that causes desolation'standing where it does not belong--let the reader understand--then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.
- Let no one on the roof of his house go down or enter the house to take anything out.
- Let no one in the field go back to get his cloak.
- How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers!
- Pray that this will not take place in winter,

- 멸망케 하는 흉측한 것이 성전에 선 것을 보거든 (읽는 사람은 깨달아라.) 그때 유대에 있는 사람들은 산으로 도망하여라.
- 지붕 위에 있는 사람은 내려가지도 말고 물건을 가지러 집 안으로 들어가지도 말며
- 들에 있는 사람은 겉옷을 가지러 집으로 돌아가지 말아라.
- 그때 아이 밴 여자들과 젖먹이가 딸린 여자들은 불행할 것이다.
- 너희는 이런 일이 겨울에 일어나지 않도록 기도하라.

- because those will be days of distress unequaled from the beginning, when God created the world, until now--and never to be equaled again.
- If the Lord had not cut short those days, no one would survive. But for the sake of the elect, whom he has chosen, he has shortened them.
- At that time if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Christ!' or, 'Look, there he is!' do not believe it.
- For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform signs and miracles to deceive the elect--if that were possible.
- So be on your guard; I have told you everything ahead of time.

- 그 때는 고난의 때이기 때문이다. 하나님이 세상을 창조하신 이후로 지금까지 이런 고난이 없었고 앞으로도 없을 것이다.
- 만일 하나님이 이 고난의 기간을 줄이시지 않았더라면 아무도 살아남지 못할 것이다. 그러나 하나님이 자기가 택하신 백성들을 위해 그 기간을 줄여 주셨다.
- 그때 누가 너희에게 '그리스도가 여기 있다.' '저기 있다.' 하여도 믿지 말아라.
- 거짓 그리스도와 거짓 예언자들이 나타나 큰 기적과 놀라운 일을 행하여 할 수만 있으면 선택된 사람들까지 속이려고 할 것이다.
- 너희는 조심하라. 내가 모든 것을 너희에게 미리 말해 둔다.

- "But in those days, following that distress, " 'the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light;
- the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.'
- "At that time men will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory.
- And he will send his angels and gather his elect from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of the heavens.
- "Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near.

- 그 고난의 기간이 지나면 해가 어두워지고 달이 빛을 내지 않을 것이며
- 별들이 떨어지고 천체가 뒤흔들릴 것이다.
- 그때 사람들은 내가 구름을 타고 큰 능력과 영광으로 오는 것을 볼 것이다.
- 그리고 내가 천사들을 보내 땅 끝에서 하늘 끝까지 사방에서 선택된 내 백성들을 모을 것이다.
- 무화과나무의 비유를 배워라. 가지가 연해지고 잎이 돋으면 여름이 가까운 줄 알지 않느냐?

- Even so, when you see these things happening, you know that it is near, right at the door.
- I tell you the truth, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened.
- Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.
- "No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.
- Be on guard! Be alert! You do not know when that time will come.

- 이와같이 너희도 이런 일들이 일어나는 것을 보거든 내가 문 밖에 가까이 온 줄 알아라.
- 내가 분명히 말해 든다. 이 세대가 지나가기 전에 이 모든 일이 반드시 일어날 것이다.
- 하늘과 땅은 없어질지라도 내 말은 결코 없어지지 않을 것이다.
- 그러나 내가 오는 그 날과 시간은 아무도 모른다. 하늘의 천사들과 아들도 모르고 오직 아버지만 아신다.
- 정신 차리고 깨어 있어라. 그 때가 언제인지 너희는 모른다.

- It's like a man going away: He leaves his house and puts his servants in charge, each with his assigned task, and tells the one at the door to keep watch.
- "Therefore keep watch because you do not know when the owner of the house will come back--whether in the evening, or at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or at dawn.
- If he comes suddenly, do not let him find you sleeping.
- What I say to you, I say to everyone: 'Watch!' "

- 그것은 마치 어떤 사람이 여행을 떠나면서 종들에게 각각 일을 맡기고 문지기에게 잘 지키라고 명령하는 것과 같다.
- 그러므로 언제나 정신 차리고 있어라. 집 주인이 돌아올 시간이 저녁일지 밤중일지 닭 울때일지 새벽일지 어떻게 알겠느냐?
- 그가 갑자기 와서 너희가 자는 것을 보지 않게 하라.
- 내가 너희에게만 아니라 모든 사람에게 말한다. 깨어 있어라!'
