누가복음 22:54-23:12

 체포되어 끌려가시는 예수님의 뒤를 따라가서 대제사장의 집 뜰에 들어간 베드로는 예수님의 예언대로 세 번 주님을 부인하고 말았다. 예수님은 대제사장의 집에서 모욕당하신 후, 산헤드린에서 신성 모독죄로 정죄받으셨다. 그 후 예수님은 로마 총독 빌라도와 갈릴리의 분봉왕 헤롯에게 심문을 받으셨다.
  
  베드로의 부인(22:54-22:71)    
 
  1. Then seizing him, they led him away and took him into the house of the high priest. Peter followed at a distance.
  2. But when they had kindled a fire in the middle of the courtyard and had sat down together, Peter sat down with them.
  3. A servant girl saw him seated there in the firelight. She looked closely at him and said, "This man was with him."
  4. But he denied it. "Woman, I don't know him," he said.
  5. A little later someone else saw him and said, "You also are one of them." "Man, I am not!" Peter replied.
  1. 그들이 예수님을 잡아 대제사장의 집으로 끌고 들어가자 베드로도 멀찍이 뒤따라갔다.
  2. 사람들이 뜰 한가운데 불을 치우고 둘러앉아 있을 때 베드로는 그들 틈에 끼어 앉았다.
  3. 그때 여종 하나가 앉아서 불을 쬐고 있는 베드로를 유심히 보더니 '이 사람도 그와 한패예요' 하였다.
  4. 그러나 베드로는 '이 여자야, 나는 그를 모른다.' 하고 딱 잡아떼었다.
  5. 조금 후에 또 어떤 사람이 베드로를 보고 '당신도 그들과 한패지요?' 하자 베드로는 '이 사람아, 나는 아니야' 하고 말하였다.
  1. About an hour later another asserted, "Certainly this fellow was with him, for he is a Galilean."
  2. Peter replied, "Man, I don't know what you're talking about!" Just as he was speaking, the rooster crowed.
  3. The Lord turned and looked straight at Peter. Then Peter remembered the word the Lord had spoken to him: "Before the rooster crows today, you will disown me three times."
  4. And he went outside and wept bitterly.
  5. The men who were guarding Jesus began mocking and beating him.
  1. 한 시간쯤 지난 뒤 또 다른 사람이 '이 사람이 갈릴리 사람인 걸 보니 틀림없이 그들과 한패요'하자
  2. 베드로는 '여보시오. 나는 당신이 무슨 말을 하는지 도무지 모르겠소.' 하고 대답하였다. 베드로의 말이 미처 끝나기도 전에 닭이 곧 울었다.
  3. 주님께서 몸을 돌이켜 베드로를 보시자 그는 '오늘 밤 닭 울기 전에 네가 세 번이나 나를 모른다고 말할 것이다.'라고 하신 주님의 말씀이 생각나서
  4. 밖으로 나가 한없이 울었다.
  5. 예수님을 지키던 사람들은 그분을 조롱하고 때리며
  1. They blindfolded him and demanded, "Prophesy! Who hit you?"
  2. And they said many other insulting things to him.
  3. At daybreak the council of the elders of the people, both the chief priests and teachers of the law, met together, and Jesus was led before them.
  4. "If you are the Christ," they said, "tell us." Jesus answered, "If I tell you, you will not believe me,
  5. and if I asked you, you would not answer.
  1. 눈을 가리고 '너를 때리는 사람이 누구냐? 알아맞혀 보아라.' 하면서
  2. 예수님께 갖은 모욕을 다 하였다.
  3. 날이 밝자 대제사장들과 율법학자들과 장로들이 의회를 열어 예수님을 의원들 앞에 세우고
  4. '네가 그리스도라면 우리에게 말하라.' 하였다. 그래서 예수님은 이렇게 말씀하셨다. '내가 말하여도 너희가 믿지 않을 것이며
  5. 내가 물어도 너희가 대답하지 않을 것이다.
  1. But from now on, the Son of Man will be seated at the right hand of the mighty God."
  2. They all asked, "Are you then the Son of God?" He replied, "You are right in saying I am."
  3. Then they said, "Why do we need any more testimony? We have heard it from his own lips."
  1. 그러나 이제부터는 내가 전능하신 하나님의 오른편에 앉을 것이다.'
  2. '그렇다면 네가 하나님의 아들이냐?' 하고 그들이 묻자 예수님은 '그렇다.' 하고 대답하셨다.
  3. 그러자 그들은 '이 이상 무슨 증거가 더 필요하겠는가? 우리는 이 사람이 직접 하는 말을 다 들었다.' 하고 외쳤다.
 
  빌라도와 헤롯의 심문(23:1-23:12)    
 
  1. Then the whole assembly rose and led him off to Pilate.
  2. And they began to accuse him, saying, "We have found this man subverting our nation. He opposes payment of taxes to Caesar and claims to be Christ, a king."
  3. So Pilate asked Jesus, "Are you the king of the Jews?" "Yes, it is as you say," Jesus replied.
  4. Then Pilate announced to the chief priests and the crowd, "I find no basis for a charge against this man."
  5. But they insisted, "He stirs up the people all over Judeaby his teaching. He started in Galilee and has come all the way here."
  1. 그들이 다 일어나 예수님을 빌라도 앞에 끌고 가서
  2. 이렇게 고소하였다. '이 사람은 우리 민족을 그릇된 길로 인도하고 있습니다. 황제에게 세금을 바치지 못하게 하고 자기가 그리스도 왕이라고 주장합니다.'
  3. 그래서 빌라도가 예수님께 '네가 유대인의 왕이냐?' 하고 묻자 예수님은 '그렇다.' 하고 대답하셨다.
  4. 빌라도는 대제사장들과 군중을 향하여 '나는 이 사람에게서 아무런 죄도 찾지 못하였소' 하였으나
  5. 그들은 억지를 부리며 '그는 갈릴리에서부터 이 곳에 이르기까지 온 유대에서 가르치며 백성을 선동하고 있습니다.' 하고 외쳐댔다.
  1. On hearing this, Pilate asked if the man was a Galilean.
  2. When he learned that Jesus was under Herod's jurisdiction, he sent him to Herod, who was also in Jerusalem at that time.
  3. When Herod saw Jesus, he was greatly pleased, because for a long time he had been wanting to see him. From what he had heard about him, he hoped to see him perform some miracle.
  4. He plied him with many questions, but Jesus gave him no answer.
  5. The chief priests and the teachers of the law were standing there, vehemently accusing him.
  1. 빌라도는 그 말을 듣고 '이 사람이 갈릴리 사람이오?' 하고 물어 본 뒤
  2. 예수님이 헤롯의 관할 지역에 속한 것을 알고 그에게 보냈는데 그때 마침 헤롯도 예루살렘에 와 있었다.
  3. 헤롯은 오래 전부터 예수님의 소문을 듣고 한번 만나 보고 싶기도 했고 또 그가 기적을 행하는 것을 보고 싶은 생각도 있었기 때문에 예수님을 보자 매우 기뻐하였다.
  4. 헤롯은 예수님께 여러 가지를 물어 보았으나 예수님은 아무 대답도 하지 않으셨다.
  5. 대제사장들과 율법학자들이 거기 서서 악착같이 예수님을 고소하자
  1. Then Herod and his soldiers ridiculed and mocked him. Dressing him in an elegant robe, they sent him back to Pilate.
  2. That day Herod and Pilate became friends--before this they had been enemies.
  1. 헤롯은 군인들과 함께 예수님을 업신여기고 조롱한 후 화려한 옷을 입혀 빌라도에게 돌려보냈다.
  2. 헤롯과 빌라도가 전에는 원수처럼 지냈으나 바로 그 날 서로 다정한 친구가 되었다.
