이사야 17:1-19:25

 이사야는 다메섹의 심판을 경고하면서, 구원의 하나님을 잊어버린 다메섹과 에브라임, 그리고 우상 숭배한 애굽이 멸망하게 될 것이라고 하였다. 그리고 야웨의 날에 애굽과 앗수르와 이스라엘로 대표되는 전 세계가 하나님께 돌아옴으로써 복을 받게 될 것이라고 예언하였다.
  
  다메섹에 대한 경고(17:1-17:14)    
 
  1. An oracle concerning Damascus: "See, Damascus will no longer be a city but will become a heap of ruins.
  2. The cities of Aroer will be deserted and left to flocks, which will lie down, with no one to make them afraid.
  3. The fortified city will disappear from Ephraim, and royal power from Damascus; the remnant of Aram will be like the glory of the Israelites," declares the LORD Almighty.
  4. "In that day the glory of Jacob will fade; the fat of his body will waste away.
  5. It will be as when a reaper gathers the standing grain and harvests the grain with his arm-- as when a man gleans heads of grain in the Valley of Rephaim.
  1. 이것은 다마스커스에 대한 여호와의 말씀이다. '앞으로 다마스커스는 도시가 되지 못하고 폐허의 돌무더기가 될 것이다.

  4. 여호와께서 다시 말씀하셨다. '이스라엘의 영광이 시들고 그 부가 가난으로 바뀔 날이 올 것이다.
  5. 그때 이스라엘은 곡식을 베어 낸 르바임 골짜기의 황량한 밭과 같을 것이다.
  1. Yet some gleanings will remain, as when an olive tree is beaten, leaving two or three olives on the topmost branches, four or five on the fruitful boughs," declares the LORD, the God of Israel.
  2. In that day men will look to their Maker and turn their eyes to the Holy One of Israel.
  3. They will not look to the altars, the work of their hands, and they will have no regard for the Asherah poles and the incense altars their fingers have made.
  4. In that day their strong cities, which they left because of the Israelites, will be like places abandoned to thickets and undergrowth. And all will be desolation.
  5. You have forgotten God your Savior; you have not remembered the Rock, your fortress. Therefore, though you set out the finest plants and plant imported vines,
  1. 그러나 감람나무를 흔들어 떨어도 가장 높은 가지에 서너 개의 열매가 남아 있듯이 황량한 그 밭에도 약간의 이삭은 남아 있을 것이다. 이것은 이스라엘의 하나님 나 여호와의 말이다.'
  2. 그때 사람들은 자기들의 창조자인 이스라엘의 거룩하신 하나님을 바라볼 것이며
  3. 자기들의 손으로 만든 우상의 제단을 쳐다보지 않고 공작물에 불과한 아세라 여신상이나 태양상을 바라보지 않을 것이다.
  4. 그 날에 튼튼한 성들이 버림을 당해 옛날 히위 사람들과 아모리 사람들이 이스라엘 사람들 앞에서 버리고 간 성처럼 폐허가 될 것이다.
  5. 이스라엘아, 네가 너를 구원하고 보호하는 튼튼한 반석 같은 하나님을 잊어버렸다. 그러므로 네가 좋아하는 나무를 이식하고 이방의 포도나무를 심어
  1. though on the day you set them out, you make them grow, and on the morning when you plant them, you bring them to bud, yet the harvest will be as nothing in the day of disease and incurable pain.
  2. Oh, the raging of many nations-- they rage like the raging sea! Oh, the uproar of the peoples-- they roar like the roaring of great waters!
  3. Although the peoples roar like the roar of surging waters, when he rebukes them they flee far away, driven before the wind like chaff on the hills, like tumbleweed before a gale.
  4. In the evening, sudden terror! Before the morning, they are gone! This is the portion of those who loot us, the lot of those who plunder us.
  1. 바로 그 날 아침에 그것이 싹이 나서 꽃이 피고 잘 자랄지라도 네가 그 열매를 거두지 못할 것이며 너에게는 슬픔과 고통만 있을 것이다.
  2. 소란을 피우며 성난 파도처럼 밀려오는 많은 민족을 보라.
  3. 수많은 적군이 물밀듯이 밀어닥치나 하나님이 그들을 꾸짖으시니 산언덕에 있는 겨가 바람에 날리고 회오리바람에 티끌이 떠다니듯 그들이 멀리 달아나고 흩어지는구나.
  4. 그들이 저녁에는 가공할 만한 존재였으나 아침이 되기도 전에 사라져 버렸으니 이것이 하나님의 백성을 약탈하는 자들의 운명이다.
 
  구스, 애굽에 대한 경고(18:1-19:25)    
 
  1. Woe to the land of whirring wings along the rivers of Cush,
  2. which sends envoys by sea in papyrus boats over the water. Go, swift messengers, to a people tall and smooth-skinned, to a people feared far and wide, an aggressive nation of strange speech, whose land is divided by rivers.
  3. All you people of the world, you who live on the earth, when a banner is raised on the mountains, you will see it, and when a trumpet sounds, you will hear it.
  4. This is what the LORD says to me: "I will remain quiet and will look on from my dwelling place, like shimmering heat in the sunshine, like a cloud of dew in the heat of harvest."
  5. For, before the harvest, when the blossom is gone and the flower becomes a ripening grape, he will cut off the shoots with pruning knives, and cut down and take away the spreading branches.
  1. 나일 강 상류에 날개치는 소리가 들리는 땅이 있으니
  2. 그 땅에서 사절단이 갈대로 만든 배를 타고 나일강으로 내려오는구나. 날쌘 사자들아, 집으로 돌아가거라. 땅이 강으로 나누어진 나라, 막강하여 다른 민족을 짓밟는 너희 나라로 돌아가거라. 키가 크고 탄력있는 피부를 가진 백성, 온 세상을 두렵게 하던 너희 백성에게 돌아가거라.
  3. 세상에 사는 모든 사람들아, 들어라! 산꼭대기에 기를 세우거든 너희는 그것을 보고, 나팔을 불거든 그 소리에 귀를 기울여라.
  4. 여호와께서 나에게 이렇게 말씀하셨다. '추수 때의 따뜻한 밤에 이슬이 말없이 맺히고 한낮에 햇볕이 소리 없이 내리쬐듯이 내가 하늘에서 조용히 내려다보리라.
  5. 추수하기 전, 꽃이 떨어지고 포도가 맺혀 익어갈 때에 한창 뻗어 나가는 포도나무 가지를 잘라 버리듯이 내가, 앗시리아군을 쳐서
  1. They will all be left to the mountain birds of prey and to the wild animals; the birds will feed on them all summer, the wild animals all winter.
  2. At that time gifts will be brought to the LORD Almighty from a people tall and smooth-skinned, from a people feared far and wide, an aggressive nation of strange speech, whose land is divided by rivers-- the gifts will be brought to Mount Zion, the place of the Name of the LORD Almighty.
  1. 그들의 시체를 독수리와 들짐승에게 던져 줄 것이니 여름에는 독수리가 먹고 겨울에는 들짐승이 먹을 것이다.'
  2. 땅이 강으로 나누어진 나라, 막강하여 다른 민족을 짓밟는 나라, 키가 크고 탄력 있는 피부를 가진 백성, 온 세상을 두렵게 하던 이 나라 백성들에게 전능하신 여호와께서 예물을 받을 날이 있을 것이니 그들이 전능하신 여호와가 경배를 받으시는 시온산을 찾을 것이다.
 
 
  1. An oracle concerning Egypt: See, the LORD rides on a swift cloud and is coming to Egypt. The idols of Egypt tremble before him, and the hearts of the Egyptians melt within them.
  2. "I will stir up Egyptian against Egyptian-- brother will fight against brother, neighbor against neighbor, city against city, kingdom against kingdom.
  3. The Egyptians will lose heart, and I will bring their plans to nothing; they will consult the idols and the spirits of the dead, the mediums and the spiritists.
  4. I will hand the Egyptians over to the power of a cruel master, and a fierce king will rule over them," declares the Lord, the LORD Almighty.
  5. The waters of the river will dry up, and the riverbed will be parched and dry.
  1. 이것은 이집트에 대한 말씀이다. 여호와께서 빠른 구름을 타시고 이집트로 가실 것이니 이집트 우상들이 그 앞에서 떨 것이며 이집트 사람들이 두려워서 새파랗게 질릴 것이다.
  2. 여호와에서 말씀하신다. '내가 이집트 사람의 마음을 충동하여 형제가 형제를 치게 하고 이웃이 이웃을, 도시가 도시를, 나라가 나라를 서로 치게 할 것이다.
  3. 내가 이집트 사람들의 계획을 좌절시키며 그들의 사기를 저하시킬 것이니 그들은 자기들의 우상에게 도움을 구하고 마술사와 영매와 무당을 찾아다닐 것이다.
  4. 내가 이집트 사람들을 폭군과 같은 잔인한 왕의 손에 넘겨 줄 것이니 그가 이집트 사람들을 다스릴 것이다. 이것은 전능한 나 여호와의 말이다.'
  5. 나일 강물이 점차 줄어 강바닥이 마를 것이며
  1. The canals will stink; the streams of Egypt will dwindle and dry up. The reeds and rushes will wither,
  2. also the plants along the Nile, at the mouth of the river. Every sown field along the Nile will become parched, will blow away and be no more.
  3. The fishermen will groan and lament, all who cast hooks into the Nile; those who throw nets on the water will pine away.
  4. Those who work with combed flax will despair, the weavers of fine linen will lose hope.
  5. The workers in cloth will be dejected, and all the wage earners will be sick at heart.
  1. 운하에서 악취가 나고 이집트의 시내가 다 마르며 갈대와 골풀이 썩고
  2. 나일 강변의 푸른 것이 다 말라 없어질 것이며 그 일대의 모든 농작물이 시들어 없어질 것이다.
  3. 나일강에서 고기를 잡아 생계를 유지하던 모든 사람들이 슬퍼하고 탄식할 것이니 낚시와 그물을 던지는 자들의 생활이 피곤할 것이다.
  4. 삼과 무명이 없어서 베 짜는 자들이 낙심할 것이며
  5. 베 공장이 문을 닫고 모든 고용인들이 근심할 것이다.
  1. The officials of Zoan are nothing but fools; the wise counselors of Pharaoh give senseless advice. How can you say to Pharaoh, "I am one of the wise men, a disciple of the ancient kings"?
  2. Where are your wise men now? Let them show you and make known what the LORD Almighty has planned against Egypt.
  3. The officials of Zoan have become fools, the leaders of Memphis are deceived; the cornerstones of her peoples have led Egypt astray.
  4. The LORD has poured into them a spirit of dizziness; they make Egypt stagger in all that she does, as a drunkard staggers around in his vomit.
  5. There is nothing Egypt can do-- head or tail, palm branch or reed.
  1. 소안의 지도자들은 정말 어리석구나! 이집트의 가장 지혜로운 사람들도 어리석은 조언을 하는구나! 그들은 어떻게 바로에게 자기들이 지혜로운 자들의 자손이며 옛 왕들의 후손이라고 말할 수 있는가?
  2. 이집트 왕이여, 너의 지혜로운 자들이 어디 있느냐? 그들이 만일 지혜롭다면 이집트에 대한 전능하신 여호와의 계획을 너에게 말하게 하라.
  3. 소안의 지도자들은 어리석고 멤피스의 지도자들은 미혹되었구나. 그들은 자기 백성의 초석과 같은 자들인데도 이집트를 잘못 이끌어 갔다
  4. 여호와께서 그들에게 혼란한 마음을 주셔서 잘못된 조언을 하게 하셨으므로 그들이 매사에 이집트를 술취한 사람처럼 비틀거리게 하였다.
  5. 그래서 이제는 지도자나 평민이나 그 어떤 사람도 이집트를 구제할 수 없게 되었다.
  1. In that day the Egyptians will be like women. They will shudder with fear at the uplifted hand that the LORD Almighty raises against them.
  2. And the land of Judah will bring terror to the Egyptians; everyone to whom Judah is mentioned will be terrified, because of what the LORD Almighty is planning against them.
  3. In that day five cities in Egypt will speak the language of Canaan and swear allegiance to the LORD Almighty. One of them will be called the City of Destruction.
  4. In that day there will be an altar to the LORD in the heart of Egypt, and a monument to the LORD at its border.
  5. It will be a sign and witness to the LORD Almighty in the land of Egypt. When they cry out to the LORD because of their oppressors, he will send them a savior and defender, and he will rescue them.
  1. 그 날에 이집트 사람들이 여자처럼 소심하여 전능하신 여호와께서 그들을 벌하시려고 손을 뻗치는 것을 보고 떨며 두려워할 것이다.
  2. 이집트 사람들은 전능하신 여호와께서 그들을 벌하실 것이라는 소문을 듣고 유다를 몹시 두려워할 것이다.
  3. 그때 이집트의 다섯 도시가 히브리어를 말하고 전능하신 여호와께 충성하겠다고 맹세할 것이며 그 중 하나가 '태양의 도시'라고 불려질 것이다.
  4. 이때 이집트의 중심부에는 여호와를 섬기는 제단이 있을 것이며 이집트 국경에는 여호와의 기념비가 있을 것이다.
  5. 이런 것은 이집트 사람들이 전능하신 여호와를 섬긴다는 증거와 상징이 될 것이다. 그들이 자기들을 괴롭히는 자들 때문에 여호와께 부르짖을 것이며 여호와께서는 한 구원자를 보내 그들을 구하실 것이다.
  1. So the LORD will make himself known to the Egyptians, and in that day they will acknowledge the LORD. They will worship with sacrifices and grain offerings; they will make vows to the LORD and keep them.
  2. The LORD will strike Egypt with a plague; he will strike them and heal them. They will turn to the LORD, and he will respond to their pleas and heal them.
  3. In that day there will be a highway from Egypt to Assyria. The Assyrians will go to Egypt and the Egyptians to Assyria. The Egyptians and Assyrians will worship together.
  4. In that day Israel will be the third, along with Egypt and Assyria, a blessing on the earth.
  5. The LORD Almighty will bless them, saying, "Blessed be Egypt my people, Assyria my handiwork, and Israel my inheritance."
  1. 그가 이집트 사람들에게 자신을 알리실 것이며 그제서야 이집트 사람들이 여호와를 알고 그에게 제물과 예물을 드리며 경배하고 또 여호와께 서약하며 그 서약을 지킬 것이다.
  2. 여호와께서 이집트를 쳐서 벌하실 것이지만 그런 다음에는 다시 회복시키실 것이다. 그들이 여호와께 돌아올 것이며 여호와께서는 그들의 부르짖는 소리를 들으시고 그들을 고쳐 주실 것이다.
  3. 이집트와 앗시리아 사이에 간선도로가 뚫려 이집트 사람과 앗시리아 사람이 서로 왕래할 것이며 그들이 다 함께 하나님께 경배할 날이 있을 것이다.
  4. 그 때에 이스라엘, 이집트, 앗시리아 이 세 나라가 온 세계에 복이 될 것이다.
  5. 전능하신 여호와께서 그들을 축복하시며 이렇게 말씀하실 것이다. '내 백성 이집트야, 내가 창조한 앗시리아야, 내가 택한 백성 이스라엘아, 너희에게 복이 있을 것이다.'
