- Therefore let us leave the elementary teachings about Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death, and of faith in God,
- instruction about baptisms, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment.
- And God permitting, we will do so.
- It is impossible for those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit,
- who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the coming age,

- 그러므로 그리스도에 대한 초보적인 교훈에서 떠납시다. 죽음에 이르게 하는 행위를 회개하는 일과 하나님을 믿는 신앙과 세례와 안수와 죽은 자의 부활과 영원한 심판에 관한 교훈의 기초를 다시 닦지 말고 성숙한 데로 나아갑시다.

- 일단 하나님의 계시의 빛을 받고 하늘의 선물을 맛보고 성령을 체험하며

- if they fall away, to be brought back to repentance, becauseto their loss they are crucifying the Son of God all over again and subjecting him to public disgrace.
- Land that drinks in the rain often falling on it and that produces a crop useful to those for whom it is farmed receives the blessing of God.
- But land that produces thorns and thistles is worthless and is in danger of being cursed. In the end it will be burned.
- Even though we speak like this, dear friends, we are confident of better things in your case--things that accompany salvation.
- God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them.

- 타락하게 되면 두 번 다시 회개할 길이 없습니다. 이것은 하나님의 아들을 다시 십자가에 못박아 공공연하게 수치를 당하게 하는 행위가 되기 때문입니다.
- 땅이 자주 내리는 비를 흡수하여 농부들에게 유익한 채소를 내면 하나님의 복을 받습니다.
- 그러나 땅이 가시와 엉겅퀴를 내면 아무 쓸모가 없어 곧 저주를 받고 마침내 불에 타게 될 것입니다.
- 사랑하는 여러분, 우리가 말은 이렇게 하지만 여러분에게는 구원과 관련된 보다 나은 축복이 있음을 우리는 확신합니다.
- 하나님은 공정하셔서 여러분이 이미 성도를 도왔고 지금도 계속 도우면서 보여 준 여러분의 행위와 사랑을 결코 잊지 않으십니다.

- We want each of you to show this same diligence to the very end, in order to make your hope sure.
- We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised.
