학개

  본서는 학개 선지자가 성전 공사의 속행을 격려하고 권고하기 위해 기록하였다.

  학개는 하나님의 성전을 짓지 않고 자신의 집을 짓기에만 열중하는 백성을 꾸짖으면서 그들의 소위를 스스로 살펴볼 것을 권한다. 이에 스룹바벨과 여호수아와 백성들이 성전 건축을 시작한다. 일부 바벨론에서 돌아온 자들이 이전 성전의 영광과 비교해서 백성들을 낙심시키지만, 학개는 지금의 작업이 거대한 예언적 섭리의 일부이며 이 성전의 영광이 이전 성전의 영광보다 더 클 것이라고 하며 백성들에게 용기를 준다.

 

 

학개 1:1-2:23

 학개는 중단된 성전 재건에 관한 하나님의 말씀을 선포하였다. 그는 나태와 안일에 빠져 있는 이스라엘 백성을 책망하면서 그들이 이로 인해 여러 재해를 당하고 있음을 알렸다. 이에 이스라엘 백성은 회개한 후 성전을 재건하기 시작했다. 학개는 솔로몬 성전에 비해 왜소한 새 성전을 보고 낙담한 백성들을 격려하면서 스룹바벨에 대한 구원의 축복을 예언하였다.
  
  성전 재건(1:1-2:23)    
 
  1. In the second year of King Darius, on the first day of the sixth month, the word of the LORD came through the prophet Haggai to Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua son of Jehozadak, the high priest:
  2. This is what the LORD Almighty says: "These people say, 'The time has not yet come for the LORD's house to be built.' "
  3. Then the word of the LORD came through the prophet Haggai:
  4. "Is it a time for you yourselves to be living in your paneled houses, while this house remains a ruin?"
  5. Now this is what the LORD Almighty says: "Give careful thought to your ways.
  1. 페르시아의 다리우스황제 2년 6월 1일에 여호와께서 예언자 학개를 통하여 스알디엘의 아들인 유다 총독 스룹바벨과 여호사닥의 아들인 대제사장 여호수아에게 말씀하셨다.
  2. '전능한 나 여호와가 말한다. 이 백성들이 성전을 건축할 때가 아직 되지 않았다고 말하고 있다.
  3. 여호와께서 다시 예언자 학개를 통하여 말씀하셨다.
  4. '내 성전은 황폐한 채로 있는데 너희는 호화 주택에 살고 있느냐?
  5. 그러므로 전능한 나 여호와가 말한다. 너희는 자기 소행을 잘 살펴보아라.
  1. You have planted much, but have harvested little. You eat, but never have enough. You drink, but never have your fill. You put on clothes, but are not warm. You earn wages, only to put them in a purse with holes in it."
  2. This is what the LORD Almighty says: "Give careful thought to your ways.
  3. Go up into the mountains and bring down timber and build the house, so that I may take pleasure in it and be honored," says the LORD.
  4. "You expected much, but see, it turned out to be little. What you brought home, I blew away. Why?" declares the LORD Almighty. "Because of my house, which remains a ruin, while each of you is busy with his own house.
  5. Therefore, because of you the heavens have withheld their dew and the earth its crops.
  1. 너희가 많이 심었으나 적게 거두었으며 너희가 먹어도 배부르지 않고 마셔도 흡족하지 않으며 입어도 따뜻하지 않고 품삯을 받아도 구멍 뚫린 지갑에 넣는 격이 되었다.
  2. 전능한 나 여호와가 말한다. 너희는 자기 소행을 잘 살펴보아라.
  3. 너희는 산에 올라가서 목재를 가져다가 성전을 건축하라. 그러면 내가 그것으로 기뻐하고 영광을 얻을 것이다. 이것은 나 여호와의 말이다.
  4. 너희가 많은 수확을 기대했으나 얻은 것은 적었으며 너희가 수확한 것을 집으로 가져갔으나 내가 그것을 날려 버렸다 그 이유가 무엇이냐? 이것은 내 집이 황폐한데도 너희가 자기 집안 일에만 급급하였기 때문이다.
  5. 그래서 너희 때문에 하늘이 이슬을 내리지 않고 땅에서 농산물이 나지 않게 되었으며
  1. I called for a drought on the fields and the mountains, on the grain, the new wine, the oil and whatever the ground produces, on men and cattle, and on the labor of your hands."
  2. Then Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, Joshua son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and the whole remnant of the people obeyed the voice of the LORD their God and the message of the prophet Haggai, because the LORD their God had sent him. And the people feared the LORD.
  3. Then Haggai, the LORD's messenger, gave this message of the LORD to the people: "I am with you," declares the LORD.
  4. So the LORD stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and the spirit of the whole remnant of the people. They came and began to work on the house of the LORD Almighty, their God,
  5. on the twenty-fourth day of the sixth month in the second year of King Darius.
  1. 또 내가 가뭄이 들게 하였으므로 들과 산과 곡식과 새 포도주와 기름과 땅의 모든 농산물과 사람과 짐승과 애써 수고한 모든 것이 피해를 입게 되었다.'
  2. 그때 스알디엘의 아들 스룹바벨과 여호사닥의 아들인 대제사장 여호수아와 남은 모든 백성이 예언자 학개가 전한 여호와의 말씀에 순종하였다. 이것은 그들의 하나님 여호와께서 학개를 보내셨기 때문이었다. 그래서 백성들은 여호와를 두려워하였다.
  3. 그때 학개는 '내가 너희와 함께 한다.'는 여호와의 말씀을 백성들에게 전하였다.
  4. 여호와께서 스알디엘의 아들인 유다 총독 스룹바벨과 여호사닥의 아들인 대제사장 여호수아와 그리고 남아 있는 모든 백성의 마음을 감동시키시므로 그들이 자기들의 하나님, 전능하신 여호와의 성전을 재건하기 시작했는데
  5. 그때는 다리우스황제 2년 6월 24일이었다.
 
 
  1. On the twenty-first day of the seventh month, the word of the LORD came through the prophet Haggai:
  2. "Speak to Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, to Joshua son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and to the remnant of the people. Ask them,
  3. 'Who of you is left who saw this house in its former glory? How does it look to you now? Does it not seem to you like nothing?
  4. But now be strong, O Zerubbabel,' declares the LORD. 'Be strong, O Joshua son of Jehozadak, the high priest. Be strong, all you people of the land,' declares the LORD, 'and work. For I am with you,' declares the LORD Almighty.
  5. 'This is what I covenanted with you when you came out of Egypt. And my Spirit remains among you. Do not fear.'
  1. 그해 7월 21일에 여호와께서 예언자 학개에게 다시 말씀하셨다.
  2. '너는 스알디엘의 아들인 유다 총독 스룹바벨과 여호사닥의 아들인 대제사장 여호수아와 남은 백성에게 내가 이렇게 말한다고 일러 주어라.
  3. '너희 가운데 이전의 성전이 얼마나 화려했는지 기억할 수 있는 자가 있느냐? 지금 이 성전은 너희에게 어떻게 보이느냐? 이것은 너희에게 보잘것 없이 보이지 않느냐?
  4. 그러나 용기를 가져라. 스룹바벨과 여호수아와 이 땅 모든 백성아, 힘을 내어 일하라. 내가 너희와 함께 한다. 이것은 전능한 나 여호와의 말이다.
  5. 너희가 이집트에서 나올 때에 내가 항상 너희와 함께 하겠다고 약속한 대로 내가 지금도 너희와 함께 한다. 그러므로 너희는 두려워하지 말아라.
  1. "This is what the LORD Almighty says: 'In a little while I will once more shake the heavens and the earth, the sea and the dry land.
  2. I will shake all nations, and the desired of all nations will come, and I will fill this house with glory,' says the LORD Almighty.
  3. 'The silver is mine and the gold is mine,' declares the LORD Almighty.
  4. 'The glory of this present house will be greater than the glory of the former house,' says the LORD Almighty. 'And in this place I will grant peace,' declares the LORD Almighty."
  5. On the twenty-fourth day of the ninth month, in the second year of Darius, the word of the LORD came to the prophet Haggai:
  1. 조금 후에 내가 한 번 더 하늘과 땅과 바다와 육지를 진동시키고
  2. 모든 나라를 뒤흔들어 놓겠다. 온 세상의 보물이 이리로 굴러들어올 것이며 내가 이 성전을 영광으로 충만하게 할 것이다.
  3. 은도 내 것이요 금도 내 것이다.
  4. 새 성전이 옛 성전보다 더욱 찬란할 것이다. 그리고 내가 이 곳에 평안을 주겠다. 이것은 전능한 나 여호와의 말이다.'
  5. 다리우스황제 2년 9월 24일에 여호와께서 예언자 학개에게 말씀하셨다.
  1. "This is what the LORD Almighty says: 'Ask the priests what the law says:
  2. If a person carries consecrated meat in the fold of his garment, and that fold touches some bread or stew, some wine, oil or other food, does it become consecrated?' " The priests answered, "No."
  3. Then Haggai said, "If a person defiled by contact with a dead body touches one of these things, does it become defiled?" "Yes," the priests replied, "it becomes defiled."
  4. Then Haggai said, " 'So it is with this people and this nation in my sight,' declares the LORD. 'Whatever they do and whatever they offer there is defiled.
  5. " 'Now give careful thought to this from this day on --consider how things were before one stone was laid on another in the LORD's temple.
  1. '전능한 나 여호와가 말한다. 너는 율법에 대하여 제사장에게 이렇게 물어 보아라.
  2. 사람이 만일 거룩한 제물의 고기를 옷자락에 싸가지고 가다가 그 옷자락이 떡이나 국이나 포도주나 기름이나 다른 음식물에 닿으면 그래도 그것이 거룩하겠습니까?' 그래서 학개가 제사장들에게 묻자 그들은 '아닙니다.' 하고 대답하였다.
  3. 그때 학개가 '만일 시체를 만져서 부정하게 된 자가 이 음식물 중 하나를 만지면 그것도 역시 부정하겠습니까?' 하고 다시 묻자 제사장들은 '부정합니다.' 하고 대답하였다.
  4. 그러자 학개가 대답하였다. '여호와께서 이렇게 말씀하십니다. 내 앞에서는 이 백성과 이 나라가 마찬가지이다. 그들이 행하는 일도 부정하고 그들이 드리는 것도 다 부정하다.
  5. 이제 너희는 성전 재건 공사를 시작하기 전에 있었던 일을 잘 생각해 보아라.
  1. When anyone came to a heap of twenty measures, there were only ten. When anyone went to a wine vat to draw fifty measures, there were only twenty.
  2. I struck all the work of your hands with blight, mildew and hail, yet you did not turn to me,' declares the LORD.
  3. 'From this day on, from this twenty-fourth day of the ninth month, give careful thought to the day when the foundation of the LORD's temple was laid. Give careful thought:
  4. Is there yet any seed left in the barn? Until now, the vine and the fig tree, the pomegranate and the olive tree have not borne fruit. " 'From this day on I will bless you.' "
  5. The word of the LORD came to Haggai a second time on the twenty-fourth day of the month:
  1. 그때 너희는 곡식 20석을 기대하고 갔으나 10석뿐이었으며 포도주 50통을 길으려고 포도즙틀로 갔으나 20통뿐이었다.
  2. 너희가 기르는 모든 것이 내가 뜨거운 바람과 곰팡이와 우박으로 쳤으나 너희는 나에게 돌아오지 않았다.
  3. 오늘은 9월 24일, 곧 성전 기초 공사를 완성한 날이다. 너희는 오늘 이후에 일을 잘 관찰해 보아라.
  4. 아직도 창고에 남아 있는 씨앗이 있느냐? 지금까지는 포도나무, 무화과나무, 석류나무, 감람나무가 열매를 맺지 못하였으나 오늘부터는 내가 너희에게 복을 내려 주겠다.'
  5. 그 날 여호와께서 다시 학개에게 말씀하셨다.
  1. "Tell Zerubbabel governor of Judah that I will shake the heavens and the earth.
  2. I will overturn royal thrones and shatter the power of the foreign kingdoms. I will overthrow chariots and their drivers; horses and their riders will fall, each by the sword of his brother.
  3. " 'On that day,' declares the LORD Almighty, 'I will take you, my servant Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel,' declares the LORD, 'and I will make you like my signet ring, for I have chosen you,' declares the LORD Almighty."
  1. '너는 유다 총독 스룹바벨에게 이렇게 말하라. 내가 하늘과 땅을 진동시키며
  2. 여러 나라의 왕위를 뒤엎고 그 권력을 무너뜨리며 전차와 그 전차병을 엎어 버리겠다. 말과 기병들이 서로서로 친 칼날에 쓰러질 것이다.
  3. 전능한 나 여호와가 말한다. 스알디엘의 아들 내 종 스룹바벨아, 그 날에 내가 너를 세워 내 인장 반지처럼 사용하겠다. 이것은 내가 너를 택하였기 때문이다.'
