창세기 45:1-46:34

 요셉은 형제들에게 자기의 신분을 밝히고 그들을 위로하였다. 요셉의 형제들이 왔다는 소식을 들은 바로는 그들을 환대하였고, 야곱의 가족이 애굽에 이주하여 살도록 배려했다. 야곱은 그의 가족들을 데리고 애굽으로 이주하여 요셉과 눈물의 재회를 하고 고센 땅에 정착하였다.
  
  요셉과 형제들의 화해(45:1-45:28)    
 
  1. Then Joseph could no longer control himself before all his attendants, and he cried out, "Have everyone leave my presence!" So there was no one with Joseph when he made himself known to his brothers.
  2. And he wept so loudly that the Egyptians heard him, and Pharaoh's household heard about it.
  3. Joseph said to his brothers, "I am Joseph! Is my father still living?" But his brothers were not able to answer him, because they were terrified at his presence.
  4. Then Joseph said to his brothers, "Come close to me." When they had done so, he said, "I am your brother Joseph, the one you sold into Egypt!
  5. And now, do not be distressed and do not be angry with yourselves for selling me here, because it was to save lives that God sent me ahead of you.
  1. 요셉은 북받치는 감정을 억누르지 못하고, 자기의 모든 시종들 앞에서 그만 모두들 물러가라고 소리쳤다. 주위 사람들을 물러나게 하고, 요셉은 드디어 자기가 누구인지를 형제들에게 밝히고 나서,
  2. 한참 동안 울었다. 그 울음 소리가 어찌나 크던지 밖으로 물러난 이집트 사람들에게도 들리고, 바로의 궁에도 들렸다.
  3. "내가 요셉입니다! 아버지께서 아직 살아 계시다고요?" 요셉이 형제들에게 이렇게 말하였으나, 놀란 형제들은 어리둥절하여, 요셉 앞에서 입이 얼어붙고 말았다.
  4. "이리 가까이 오십시오" 하고 요셉이 형제들에게 말하니, 그제야 그들이 요셉 앞으로 다가왔다. "내가, 형님들이 이집트로 팔아 넘긴 그 아우입니다.
  5. 그러나 이제는 걱정하지 마십시오. 자책하지도 마십시오. 형님들이 나를 이 곳에 팔아 넘기긴 하였습니다만, 그것은 하나님이, 형님들보다 앞서서 나를 여기에 보내셔서, 우리의 목숨을 살려 주시려고 그렇게 하신 것입니다.
  1. For two years now there has been famine in the land, and for the next five years there will not be plowing and reaping.
  2. But God sent me ahead of you to preserve for you a remnant on earth and to save your lives by a great deliverance.
  3. "So then, it was not you who sent me here, but God. He made me father to Pharaoh, lord of his entire household and ruler of all Egypt.
  4. Now hurry back to my father and say to him, 'This is what your son Joseph says: God has made me lord of all Egypt. Come down to me; don't delay.
  5. You shall live in the region of Goshen and be near me--you, your children and grandchildren, your flocks and herds, and all you have.
  1. 이 땅에 흉년이 든 지 이태가 됩니다. 앞으로도 다섯 해 동안은 밭을 갈지도 못하고 거두지도 못합니다.
  2. 하나님이 나를 형님들보다 앞서서 보내신 것은, 하나님이 크나큰 구원을 베푸셔서 형님들의 목숨을 지켜 주시려는 것이고, 또 형님들의 자손을 이 세상에 살아 남게 하시려는 것입니다.
  3. 그러므로 실제로 나를 이리로 보낸 것은 형님들이 아니라 하나님이십니다. 하나님이 나를 이리로 보내셔서, 바로의 아버지가 되게 하시고, 바로의 온 집안의 최고의 어른이 되게 하시고, 이집트 온 땅의 통치자로 세우신 것입니다.
  4. 이제 곧 아버지께로 가셔서, 아버지의 아들 요셉이 하는 말이라고 하시고, 이렇게 말씀을 드려 주십시오. '하나님이 저를 이집트 온 나라의 주권자로 삼으셨습니다. 아버지께서는 지체하지 마시고, 저에게로 내려오시기 바랍니다.
  5. 아버지께서는 고센 지역에 사시면서, 저와 가까이 계실 수 있습니다. 아버지께서는 아버지의 여러 아들과 손자를 거느리시고, 양과 소와 모든 재산을 가지고 오시기 바랍니다.
  1. I will provide for you there, because five years of famine are still to come. Otherwise you and your household and all who belong to you will become destitute.'
  2. "You can see for yourselves, and so can my brother Benjamin, that it is really I who am speaking to you.
  3. Tell my father about all the honor accorded me in Egypt and about everything you have seen. And bring my father down here quickly."
  4. Then he threw his arms around his brother Benjamin and wept, and Benjamin embraced him, weeping.
  5. And he kissed all his brothers and wept over them. Afterward his brothers talked with him.
  1. 흉년이 아직 다섯 해나 더 계속됩니다. 제가 여기에서 아버지를 모시겠습니다. 아버지와 아버지의 집안과 아버지께 딸린 모든 식구가 아쉬운 것이 없도록 해 드리겠습니다' 하고 여쭈십시오.
  2. 지금 형님들에게 말을 하고 있는 것이 이 요셉임을 형님들이 직접 보고 계시고, 나의 아우 베냐민도 자기의 눈으로 보고 있습니다.
  3. 형님들은, 내가 이집트에서 누리고 있는 이 영화와 형님들이 보신 모든 것을, 아버지께 다 말씀드리고, 빨리 모시고 내려오십시오."
  4. 요셉이 자기 아우 베냐민의 목을 얼싸안고 우니, 베냐민도 울면서 요셉의 목에 매달렸다.
  5. 요셉이 형들과도 하나하나 다 입을 맞추고, 부둥켜 안고 울었다. 그제야 요셉의 형들이 요셉과 말을 주고받았다.
  1. When the news reached Pharaoh's palace that Joseph's brothers had come, Pharaoh and all his officials were pleased.
  2. Pharaoh said to Joseph, "Tell your brothers, 'Do this: Load your animals and return to the land of Canaan,
  3. and bring your father and your families back to me. I will give you the best of the land of Egypt and you can enjoy the fat of the land.'
  4. "You are also directed to tell them, 'Do this: Take some carts from Egypt for your children and your wives, and get your father and come.
  5. Never mind about your belongings, because the best of all Egypt will be yours.' "
  1. 요셉의 형제들이 왔다는 소문이 바로의 궁에 전해지자, 바로와 그의 신하들이 기뻐하였다.
  2. 바로가 요셉에게 말하였다. "그대의 형제들에게 나의 말을 전하시오. 짐승들의 등에 짐을 싣고 가나안 땅으로 돌아가서,
  3. 그대의 부친과 가족을 내가 있는 곳으로 모시고 오게 하시오. 이집트에서 가장 좋은 땅을 드릴 터이니, 그 기름진 땅에서 나는 것을 누리면서 살 수 있다고 이르시오.
  4. 그대는 또 이렇게 나의 말을 전하시오. 어린 것들과 부인들을 태우고 와야 하니, 수레도 이집트에서 여러 대를 가지고 올라가도록 하시오. 그대의 아버지도 모셔 오도록 하시오.
  5. 이집트 온 땅 가운데서도 가장 좋은 땅이 그들의 것이 될 터이니, 가지고 있는 물건들은 미련없이 버리고 오라고 하시오."
  1. So the sons of Israel did this. Joseph gave them carts, as Pharaoh had commanded, and he also gave them provisions for their journey.
  2. To each of them he gave new clothing, but to Benjamin he gave three hundred shekels of silver and five sets of clothes.
  3. And this is what he sent to his father: ten donkeys loaded with the best things of Egypt, and ten female donkeys loaded with grain and bread and other provisions for his journey.
  4. Then he sent his brothers away, and as they were leaving he said to them, "Don't quarrel on the way!"
  5. So they went up out of Egypt and came to their father Jacob in the land of Canaan.
  1. 이스라엘의 아들들은, 바로가 하라는 대로 하였다. 요셉은, 바로가 명령한 대로, 그들에게 수레를 여러 대 내주고, 여행길에 먹을 것도 마련하여 주었다.
  2. 또 그들에게 새 옷을 한 벌씩 주고, 베냐민에게는 특히 은돈 삼백 세겔과 옷 다섯 벌을 주었다.
  3. 요셉은 아버지에게 드릴 또 다른 예물을 마련하였다. 이집트에서 나는 귀한 물건을 수나귀 열 마리에 나누어 싣고, 아버지가 이집트로 오는 길에 필요한 곡식과 빵과 다른 먹거리는 암나귀 열 마리에 나누어 실었다.
  4. 요셉은 자기 형제들을 돌려보냈다. 그들과 헤어지면서, 요셉은 "가시는 길에 서로들 탓하지 마십시오" 하고 형들에게 당부하였다.
  5. 그들은 이집트에서 나와 가나안 땅으로 들어가서, 아버지 야곱에게 이르렀다.
  1. They told him, "Joseph is still alive! In fact, he is ruler of all Egypt." Jacob was stunned; he did not believe them.
  2. But when they told him everything Joseph had said to them, and when he saw the carts Joseph had sent to carry him back, the spirit of their father Jacob revived.
  3. And Israel said, "I'm convinced! My son Joseph is still alive. I will go and see him before I die."
  1. 그들이 야곱에게 말하였다. "요셉이 지금까지 살아 있습니다. 이집트 온 나라를 다스리는 총리가 되었습니다." 이 말을 듣고서 야곱은 정신이 나간 듯 어리벙벙하여, 그 말을 곧이들을 수가 없었다.
  2. 그러나 요셉이 한 말을 아들들에게서 모두 전해 듣고, 또한 요셉이 자기를 데려오라고 보낸 그 수레들을 보고 나서야, 아버지 야곱은 비로소 제정신이 들었다.
  3. "이제는 죽어도 한이 없다. 내 아들 요셉이 아직 살아 있다니! 암, 가고말고! 내가 죽기 전에 그 아이를 보아야지!" 하고 이스라엘은 중얼거렸다.
 
  애굽으로 이주한 야곱(46:1-46:34)    
 
  1. So Israel set out with all that was his, and when he reached Beersheba, he offered sacrifices to the God of his father Isaac.
  2. And God spoke to Israel in a vision at night and said, "Jacob! Jacob!" "Here I am," he replied.
  3. "I am God, the God of your father," he said. "Do not be afraid to go down to Egypt, for I will make you into a great nation there.
  4. I will go down to Egypt with you, and I will surely bring you back again. And Joseph's own hand will close your eyes."
  5. Then Jacob left Beersheba, and Israel's sons took their father Jacob and their children and their wives in the carts that Pharaoh had sent to transport him.
  1. 이스라엘이 식구를 거느리고, 그의 모든 재산을 챙겨서 길을 떠났다. 브엘세바에 이르렀을 때에, 그는 아버지 이삭의 하나님께 희생제사를 드렸다.
  2. 밤에 하나님이 환상 가운데서 "야곱아, 야곱아!" 하고 이스라엘을 부르셨다. 야곱은 "제가 여기 있습니다!" 하고 대답하였다.
  3. 하나님이 말씀하셨다. "나는 하나님, 곧 너의 아버지의 하나님이다. 이집트로 내려가는 것을 두려워하지 말아라. 내가 거기에서 너를 큰 민족이 되게 하고,
  4. 나도 너와 함께 이집트로 내려갔다가, 내가 반드시 너를 거기에서 데리고 나오겠다. 요셉이 너의 눈을 직접 감길 것이다."
  5. 야곱 일행이 브엘세바를 떠날 차비를 하였다. 이스라엘의 아들들은, 자기들의 아버지 야곱과 아이들과 아내들을, 바로가 야곱을 태워 오라고 보낸 수레에 태웠다.
  1. They also took with them their livestock and the possessions they had acquired in Canaan, and Jacob and all his offspring went to Egypt.
  2. He took with him to Egypt his sons and grandsons and his daughters and granddaughters--all his offspring.
  3. These are the names of the sons of Israel (Jacob and his descendants) who went to Egypt: Reuben the firstborn of Jacob.
  4. The sons of Reuben: Hanoch, Pallu, Hezron and Carmi.
  5. The sons of Simeon: Jemuel, Jamin, Ohad, Jakin, Zohar and Shaul the son of a Canaanite woman.
  1. 야곱과 그의 모든 자손은, 집짐승과 가나안에서 모은 재산을 챙겨서, 이집트를 바라보며 길을 떠났다.
  2. 이렇게 야곱은 자기 자녀들과 손자들과 손녀들 곧 모든 자손들을 다 거느리고 이집트로 갔다.
  3. 이집트로 내려간 이스라엘 사람들 곧 야곱과 그의 자손들의 이름은 다음과 같다. 야곱의 맏아들 르우벤,
  4. 르우벤의 아들들인 하녹과 발루와 헤스론과 갈미,
  5. 시므온의 아들들인 여무엘과 야민과 오핫과 야긴과 스할, 가나안 여인이 낳은 아들 사울,
  1. The sons of Levi: Gershon, Kohath and Merari.
  2. The sons of Judah: Er, Onan, Shelah, Perez and Zerah (but Er and Onan had died in the land of Canaan). The sons of Perez: Hezron and Hamul.
  3. The sons of Issachar: Tola, Puah, Jashub and Shimron.
  4. The sons of Zebulun: Sered, Elon and Jahleel.
  5. These were the sons Leah bore to Jacob in Paddan Aram, besides his daughter Dinah. These sons and daughters of his were thirty-three in all.
  1. 레위의 아들들인 게르손과 고핫과 므라리,
  2. 유다의 아들들인 에르와 오난과 셀라와 베레스와 세라, （그런데 에르와 오난은 가나안 땅에 있을 때에 이미 죽었다.） 베레스의 아들들인 헤스론과 하물,
  3. 잇사갈의 아들들인 돌라와 부와와 욥과 시므론,
  4. 스불론의 아들들인 세렛과 엘론과 얄르엘,
  5. 이들은 밧단아람에서 레아와 야곱 사이에서 태어난 자손이다. 이 밖에 딸 디나가 더 있다. 레아가 낳은 아들딸이 모두 서른세 명이다.
  1. The sons of Gad: Zephon, Haggi, Shuni, Ezbon, Eri, Arodi and Areli.
  2. The sons of Asher: Imnah, Ishvah, Ishvi and Beriah. Their sister was Serah. The sons of Beriah: Heber and Malkiel.
  3. These were the children born to Jacob by Zilpah, whom Laban had given to his daughter Leah--sixteen in all.
  4. The sons of Jacob's wife Rachel: Joseph and Benjamin.
  5. In Egypt, Manasseh and Ephraim were born to Joseph by Asenath daughter of Potiphera, priest of On.
  1. 갓의 아들들인 시뵨과 학기와 수니와 에스본과 에리와 아로디와 아렐리,
  2. 아셀의 아들들인 임나와 이스와와 이스위와 브리아와 그들의 누이 세라, 브리아의 아들들인 헤벨과 말기엘,
  3. 이들은 실바와 야곱 사이에서 태어난 자손이다. 실바는 라반이 자기 딸 레아를 출가시킬 때에 준 몸종이다. 그가 낳은 자손이 모두 열여섯 명이다.
  4. 야곱의 아내 라헬이 낳은 아들들인 요셉과 베냐민과
  5. 므낫세와 에브라임, （이 두 아들은 이집트 땅에서 온의 제사장 보디베라의 딸 아스낫과 요셉 사이에서 태어났다.）
  1. The sons of Benjamin: Bela, Beker, Ashbel, Gera, Naaman, Ehi, Rosh, Muppim, Huppim and Ard.
  2. These were the sons of Rachel who were born to Jacob--fourteen in all.
  3. The son of Dan: Hushim.
  4. The sons of Naphtali: Jahziel, Guni, Jezer and Shillem.
  5. These were the sons born to Jacob by Bilhah, whom Laban had given to his daughter Rachel--seven in all.
  1. 베냐민의 아들들인 벨라와 베겔과 아스벨과 게라와 나아만과 에히와 로스와 뭅빔과 훕빔과 아릇,
  2. 이들은 라헬과 야곱 사이에서 태어난 자손인데, 열네 명이다.
  3. 단의 아들인 후심,
  4. 납달리의 아들들인 야스엘과 구니와 예셀과 실렘,
  5. 이들은 빌하와 야곱 사이에서 태어난 자손이다. 빌하는 라반이 자기 딸 라헬을 출가시킬 때에 준 몸종이다. 그가 낳은 자손은 모두 일곱 명이다.
  1. All those who went to Egypt with Jacob--those who were his direct descendants, not counting his sons' wives--numbered sixty-six persons.
  2. With the two sons who had been born to Joseph in Egypt, the members of Jacob's family, which went to Egypt, were seventy in all.
  3. Now Jacob sent Judah ahead of him to Joseph to get directions to Goshen. When they arrived in the region of Goshen,
  4. Joseph had his chariot made ready and went to Goshen to meet his father Israel. As soon as Joseph appeared before him, he threw his arms around his father and wept for a long time.
  5. Israel said to Joseph, "Now I am ready to die, since I have seen for myself that you are still alive."
  1. 야곱과 함께 이집트로 들어간 사람들은, 며느리들을 뺀 그 직계 자손들이 모두 예순여섯 명이다.
  2. 이집트에서 요셉이 낳은 아들 둘까지 합하면, 야곱의 집안 식구는 모두 일흔 명이다.
  3. 이스라엘이 유다를 자기보다 앞세워서 요셉에게로 보내어, 야곱 일행이 고센으로 간다는 것을 알리게 하였다. 일행이 고센 땅에 이르렀을 때에,
  4. 요셉이 자기 아버지 이스라엘을 맞으려고, 병거를 갖추어서 고센으로 갔다. 요셉이 아버지 이스라엘을 보고서, 목을 껴안고 한참 울다가는, 다시 꼭 껴안았다.
  5. 이스라엘이 요셉에게 말하였다. "나는 이제 죽어도 여한이 없다. 내가 너의 얼굴을 보다니, 네가 여태까지 살아 있구나!"
  1. Then Joseph said to his brothers and to his father's household, "I will go up and speak to Pharaoh and will say to him, 'My brothers and my father's household, who were living in the land of Canaan, have come to me.
  2. The men are shepherds; they tend livestock, and they have brought along their flocks and herds and everything they own.'
  3. When Pharaoh calls you in and asks, 'What is your occupation?'
  4. you should answer, 'Your servants have tended livestock from our boyhood on, just as our fathers did.' Then you will be allowed to settle in the region of Goshen, for all shepherds are detestable to the Egyptians."
  1. 요셉이 자기의 형들과 아버지의 집안 식구들에게 말하였다. "제가 이제 돌아가서, 바로께 이렇게 말씀드리겠습니다. '가나안 땅에 살던 저의 형제들과 아버지의 집안이 저를 만나보려고 왔습니다.
  2. 그들은 본래부터 목자이고, 집짐승을 기르는 사람들인데, 그들이 가지고 있는 양과 소와 모든 재산을 챙겨서 이리로 왔습니다.' 이렇게 말씀을 드려 둘 터이니,
  3. 바로께서 형님들을 부르셔서 '그대들의 생업이 무엇이오?' 하고 물으시거든,
  4. '종들은 어렸을 때부터 줄곧 집짐승을 길러온 사람들입니다. 우리와 우리 조상이 다 그러합니다' 하고 대답하셔야 합니다. 그래야 형님들이 고센 땅에 정착하실 수 있습니다. 이집트 사람은 목자라고 하면, 생각할 것도 없이 꺼리기 때문에, 가까이 하지 않습니다."
