민수기 10:1-11:23

 하나님께서는 가나안 대장정 행군에 필수적인 은나팔 신호 약속을 제정하셨다. 이스라엘 백성들은 시내 산을 떠나 진영의 순서에 따라 가나안을 향해 출발하였다. 호밥이 광야의 길 안내자로 선정되었다. 이스라엘 백성들은 광야 생활 동안 고기를 먹고 싶은 탐욕으로 모세에게 불평하여 하나님의 진노를 샀다.
  
  이스라엘의 진행(10:1-10:36)    
 
  1. The LORD said to Moses:
  2. "Make two trumpets of hammered silver, and use them for calling the community together and for having the camps set out.
  3. When both are sounded, the whole community is to assemble before you at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting.
  4. If only one is sounded, the leaders--the heads of the clans of Israel--are to assemble before you.
  5. When a trumpet blast is sounded, the tribes camping on the east are to set out.
  1. 주님께서 모세에게 말씀하셨다.
  2. "너는 은나팔 두 개를 만들되 은을 두드려서 만들어라. 그것들은 네가 회중을 불러모을 때와 진을 출발시킬 때에 필요한 것들이다.
  3. 두 개를 한꺼번에 길게 불면, 모든 회중이 회막 어귀에 모여 너에게로 나올 것이다.
  4. 그러나 하나만 길게 불면, 지휘관들, 곧 이스라엘의 천부장들만이 너에게로 나올 것이다.
  5. 그러나 나팔을 짧게 급히 불면, 동쪽에 진을 친 부대들이 진을 뜬다.
  1. At the sounding of a second blast, the camps on the south are to set out. The blast will be the signal for setting out.
  2. To gather the assembly, blow the trumpets, but not with the same signal.
  3. "The sons of Aaron, the priests, are to blow the trumpets. This is to be a lasting ordinance for you and the generations to come.
  4. When you go into battle in your own land against an enemy who is oppressing you, sound a blast on the trumpets. Then you will be remembered by the LORD your God and rescued from your enemies.
  5. Also at your times of rejoicing--your appointed feasts and New Moon festivals--you are to sound the trumpets over your burnt offerings and fellowship offerings, and they will be a memorial for you before your God. I am the LORD your God."
  1. 두 번째로 짧게 불면, 남쪽에 진을 친 부대들이 진을 뜬다. 진을 뜰 때에는 나팔을 이렇게 짧게 불어라.
  2. 총회를 소집할 때에는 나팔을 길게 불어야 한다. 짧게 불어서는 안 된다.
  3. 나팔은 아론의 혈통을 이어받은 제사장들만이 불 수 있다. 이것은 너희가 대대로 길이 지킬 율례이다.
  4. 너희의 땅에서 너희를 공격해 온 침략자들에 대항하여 전쟁에 나설 때에는, 나팔을 짧게 급히 불어라. 그러면 주 너희의 하나님이 너희를 기억하고, 너희 원수들에게서 너희를 구해 줄 것이다.
  5. 너희들이 즐기는 경축일과 너희들이 정기적으로 모이는 날과 매달 초하루에는, 너희가 번제물과 화목제물을 바치며 나팔을 불어라. 그러면 너희 주 하나님이 너희를 기억할 것이다. 내가 주 너희의 하나님이다."
  1. On the twentieth day of the second month of the second year, the cloud lifted from above the tabernacle of the Testimony.
  2. Then the Israelites set out from the Desert of Sinai and traveled from place to place until the cloud came to rest in the Desert of Paran.
  3. They set out, this first time, at the LORD's command through Moses.
  4. The divisions of the camp of Judah went first, under their standard. Nahshon son of Amminadab was in command.
  5. Nethanel son of Zuar was over the division of the tribe of Issachar,
  1. 제 이년 둘째 달, 그 달 이십일에 증거궤가 보관된 그 성막에서 비로소 구름이 걷혔다.
  2. 이스라엘 자손은, 시내 광야를 떠나서 구름이 바란 광야에 머물 때까지, 여러 곳을 거쳐 행군을 계속하였다.
  3. 이것은 주님께서 모세를 시켜 지시하신 명령을 따라서 한 첫 번째 행군이었다.

  1. and Eliab son of Helon was over the division of the tribe of Zebulun.
  2. Then the tabernacle was taken down, and the Gershonites and Merarites, who carried it, set out.
  3. The divisions of the camp of Reuben went next, under their standard. Elizur son of Shedeur was in command.
  4. Shelumiel son of Zurishaddai was over the division of the tribe of Simeon,
  5. and Eliasaph son of Deuel was over the division of the tribe of Gad.
  1. 그 다음에 나선 스불론 자손 지파 부대는 헬론의 아들 엘리압이 이끌었다.
  2. 뒤따라 성막 운반을 맡은 게르손 자손과 므라리 자손이 성막을 걷어 가지고 출발하였다.
  3. 다음으로는 르우벤 자손이 진의 부대기를 앞세우고, 부대별로 정렬하여 출발하였다. 르우벤 부대는 스데울의 아들 엘리술이 이끌었고,
  4. 뒤이어 따라나선 시므온 자손 지파 부대는 수리삿대의 아들 슬루미엘이 이끌었고,
  5. 그 다음에 나선 갓 자손 지파 부대는 르우엘의 아들 엘리아삽이 이끌었다.
  1. Then the Kohathites set out, carrying the holy things. The tabernacle was to be set up before they arrived.
  2. The divisions of the camp of Ephraim went next, under their standard. Elishama son of Ammihud was in command.
  3. Gamaliel son of Pedahzur was over the division of the tribe of Manasseh,
  4. and Abidan son of Gideoni was over the division of the tribe of Benjamin.
  5. Finally, as the rear guard for all the units, the divisions of the camp of Dan set out, under their standard. Ahiezer son of Ammishaddai was in command.
  1. 뒤따라 고핫 자손들이 성막 기구들을 메고 출발하였다. 게르손 자손과 므라리 자손은 고핫 자손들이 도착하기 전에 성막을 세워야만 했다.
  2. 그 다음으로는, 에브라임 자손이 진의 부대기를 앞세우고, 부대별로 정렬하여 출발하였다. 에브라임 부대는 암미훗의 아들 엘리사마가 이끌었고,
  3. 뒤이어 따라나선 므낫세 자손 지파 부대는 브다술의 아들 가말리엘이 이끌었고,
  4. 그 다음에 나선 베냐민 자손 지파 부대는 기드오니의 아들 아비단이 이끌었다.
  5. 맨 마지막으로는, 단 자손이 진의 부대기를 앞세우고, 앞선 모든 부대의 후방 경계를 맡은 부대들이 부대별로 정렬하여 출발하였다. 단 부대는 암미삿대의 아들 아히에셀이 이끌었고,
  1. Pagiel son of Ocran was over the division of the tribe of Asher,
  2. and Ahira son of Enan was over the division of the tribe of Naphtali.
  3. This was the order of march for the Israelite divisions as they set out.
  4. Now Moses said to Hobab son of Reuel the Midianite, Moses' father-in-law, "We are setting out for the place about which the LORD said, 'I will give it to you.' Come with us and we will treat you well, for the LORD has promised good things to Israel."
  5. He answered, "No, I will not go; I am going back to my own land and my own people."
  1. 뒤이어 따라나선 아셀 자손 지파 부대는 오그란의 아들 바기엘이 이끌었고,
  2. 그 다음에 나선 납달리 자손 지파 부대는 에난의 아들 아히라가 이끌었다.
  3. 이것은, 이스라엘 자손이 부대별로 정렬하여 행군할 때의 행군 순서이다.
  4. 모세가 미디안 사람 르우엘의 아들 호밥에게 청하였다. 그는 모세의 장인이었다. "우리는 이제 주님께서 우리에게 주시겠다고 약속하신 곳으로 떠납니다. 장인께서도 우리와 같이 길을 떠나 주시기 바랍니다. 주님께서 이스라엘에게 잘 해주시겠다고 약속하셨으니, 우리가 장인 어른을 잘 대접해 드리겠습니다."
  5. 호밥이 모세에게 말하였다. "나는 가지 못하네. 나는 내 고향 내 친척에게로 가야 하네."
  1. But Moses said, "Please do not leave us. You know where we should camp in the desert, and you can be our eyes.
  2. If you come with us, we will share with you whatever good things the LORD gives us."
  3. So they set out from the mountain of the LORD and traveled for three days. The ark of the covenant of the LORD went before them during those three days to find them a place to rest.
  4. The cloud of the LORD was over them by day when they set out from the camp.
  5. Whenever the ark set out, Moses said, "Rise up, O LORD! May your enemies be scattered; may your foes flee before you."
  1. 모세가 다시 간청하였다. "제발 우리만 버려 두지 마십시오. 우리가 광야 어디에 진을 쳐야 할지, 장인 어른만큼 아는 사람이 없습니다. 그러니 장인께서는 우리의 길 안내자가 되어 주셔야 합니다.
  2. 우리와 함께 가시기만 한다면, 주님께서 우리에게 주시는 좋은 것은, 무엇이든지 장인 어른께 나누어 드리겠습니다."
  3. 그들은 주님의 산을 떠나 사흘 길을 갔다. 주님의 언약궤를 앞세우고 사흘 길을 가면서, 쉴 곳을 찾았다.
  4. 낮이 되어 그들이 진을 떠날 때면, 주님의 구름이 그들 위를 덮어 주었다.
  5. 궤가 떠날 때에 모세가 외쳤다. "주님, 일어나십시오. 주님의 원수들을 흩으십시오. 주님을 미워하는 자들을 주님 앞에서 쫓으십시오."
  1. Whenever it came to rest, he said, "Return, O LORD, to the countless thousands of Israel."
  1. 궤가 쉴 때에도 모세가 외쳤다. "주님, 수천만 이스라엘 사람에게로 돌아오십시오."
 
  백성들의 불평(11:1-11:23)    
 
  1. Now the people complained about their hardships in the hearing of the LORD, and when he heard them his anger was aroused. Then fire from the LORD burned among them and consumed some of the outskirts of the camp.
  2. When the people cried out to Moses, he prayed to the LORD and the fire died down.
  3. So that place was called Taberah, because fire from the LORD had burned among them.
  4. The rabble with them began to crave other food, and again the Israelites started wailing and said, "If only we had meat to eat!
  5. We remember the fish we ate in Egypt at no cost--also the cucumbers, melons, leeks, onions and garlic.
  1. 주님께서 들으시는 앞에서 백성들이 심하게 불평을 하였다. 주님께서 듣고 진노하시어, 그들 가운데 불을 놓아 진 언저리를 살라 버리셨다.
  2. 백성이 모세에게 부르짖었다. 모세가 주님께 기도드리니 불이 꺼졌다.
  3. 그래서 사람들은 그 곳 이름을 다베라라고 불렀다. 주님의 불이 그들 가운데서 타올랐기 때문이다.
  4. 이스라엘 자손 가운데 섞여 살던 무리들이 먹을 것 때문에 탐욕을 품으니, 이스라엘 자손들도 또다시 울며 불평하였다. "누가 우리에게 고기를 먹여 줄까?
  5. 이집트에서 생선을 공짜로 먹던 것이 기억에 생생한데, 그 밖에도 오이와 수박과 부추와 파와 마늘이 눈에 선한데,
  1. But now we have lost our appetite; we never see anything but this manna!"
  2. The manna was like coriander seed and looked like resin.
  3. The people went around gathering it, and then ground it in a handmill or crushed it in a mortar. They cooked it in a pot or made it into cakes. And it tasted like something made with olive oil.
  4. When the dew settled on the camp at night, the manna also came down.
  5. Moses heard the people of every family wailing, each at the entrance to his tent. The LORD became exceedingly angry, and Moses was troubled.
  1. 이제 우리 눈에 보이는 것이라고는 이 만나밖에 없으니, 입맛마저 떨어졌다."
  2. 만나의 모양은 깟 씨와 같고, 그 빛깔은 브돌라와 같았다.
  3. 백성이 두루 다니면서 그것을 거두어다가, 맷돌에 갈거나 절구에 찧고, 냄비에 구워 과자를 만들었다. 그 맛은 기름에 반죽하여 만든 과자 맛과 같았다.
  4. 밤이 되어 진에 이슬이 내릴 때면, 만나도 그 위에 내리곤 하였다.
  5. 모세는, 백성이 각 가족별로, 제각기 자기 장막 어귀에서 우는 소리를 들었다. 주님께서 이 일로 대단히 노하셨고, 모세는 그 앞에서 걱정이 태산 같았다.
  1. He asked the LORD, "Why have you brought this trouble on your servant? What have I done to displease you that you put the burden of all these people on me?
  2. Did I conceive all these people? Did I give them birth? Why do you tell me to carry them in my arms, as a nurse carries an infant, to the land you promised on oath to their forefathers?
  3. Where can I get meat for all these people? They keep wailing to me, 'Give us meat to eat!'
  4. I cannot carry all these people by myself; the burden is too heavy for me.
  5. If this is how you are going to treat me, put me to death right now--if I have found favor in your eyes--and do not let me face my own ruin."
  1. 모세가 주님께 여쭈었다. "어찌하여 주님께서는 주님의 종을 이렇게도 괴롭게 하십니까? 어찌하여 저를 주님의 눈 밖에 벗어나게 하시어, 이 모든 백성을 저에게 짊어지우십니까?
  2. 이 모든 백성을 제가 배기라도 했습니까? 제가 그들을 낳기라도 했습니까? 어찌하여 저더러, 주님께서 그들의 조상에게 맹세하신 땅으로, 마치 유모가 젖먹이를 품듯이, 그들을 품에 품고 가라고 하십니까?
  3. 백성은 저를 보고 울면서 '우리가 먹을 수 있는 고기를 달라!' 하고 외치는데, 이 모든 백성에게 줄 고기를, 제가 어디서 구할 수 있습니까?
  4. 저 혼자서는 도저히 이 모든 백성을 짊어질 수 없습니다. 저에게는 너무 무겁습니다.
  5. 주님께서 저에게 정말로 이렇게 하셔야 하겠다면, 그리고 제가 주님의 눈 밖에 나지 않았다면, 제발 저를 죽이셔서, 제가 이 곤경을 당하지 않게 해주십시오."
  1. The LORD said to Moses: "Bring me seventy of Israel's elders who are known to you as leaders and officials among the people. Have them come to the Tent of Meeting, that they may stand there with you.
  2. I will come down and speak with you there, and I will take of the Spirit that is on you and put the Spirit on them. They will help you carry the burden of the people so that you will not have to carry it alone.
  3. "Tell the people: 'Consecrate yourselves in preparation for tomorrow, when you will eat meat. The LORD heard you when you wailed, "If only we had meat to eat! We were better off in Egypt!" Now the LORD will give you meat, and you will eat it.
  4. You will not eat it for just one day, or two days, or five, ten or twenty days,
  5. but for a whole month--until it comes out of your nostrils and you loathe it--because you have rejected the LORD, who is among you, and have wailed before him, saying, "Why did we ever leave Egypt?" ' "
  1. 주님께서 모세에게 대답하셨다. "이스라엘 장로들 가운데서, 네가 백성의 장로들 또는 그 지도자라고 알고 있는 사람들 일흔 명을 나에게로 불러 오너라. 너는 그들을 데리고 회막으로 와서 그들과 함께 서라.
  2. 내가 내려가 거기에서 너와 말하겠다. 그리고 너에게 내려 준 영을 그들에게도 나누어 주어서, 백성 돌보는 짐을, 그들이 너와 함께 지게 하겠다. 그러면 너 혼자서 애쓰지 않아도 될 것이다.
  3. 너는 또 백성에게 이렇게 말하여라. 내일을 맞이하여야 하니, 너희는 스스로를 거룩하게 하여라. 너희가 고기를 먹게 될 것이다. '누가 우리에게 고기를 먹이려나? 이집트에서는 우리가 참 좋았었는데' 하고 울며 한 말이 나 주에게 들렸다. 이제 나 주가 너희에게 고기를 줄 터이니, 너희가 먹게 될 것이다.
  4. 하루만 먹고 그치지는 아니할 것이다. 이틀만도 아니고, 닷새만도 아니고, 열흘만도 아니고, 스무 날 동안만도 아니다.
  5. 한 달 내내, 냄새만 맡아도 먹기 싫을 때까지, 줄곧 그것을 먹게 될 것이다. 너희가 너희 가운데 있는 나 주를 거절하고, 내 앞에서 울면서 '우리가 왜 이집트를 떠났던가?' 하고 후회하였기 때문이다."
  1. But Moses said, "Here I am among six hundred thousand men on foot, and you say, 'I will give them meat to eat for a whole month!'
  2. Would they have enough if flocks and herds were slaughtered for them? Would they have enough if all the fish in the sea were caught for them?"
  3. The LORD answered Moses, "Is the LORD's arm too short? You will now see whether or not what I say will come true for you."
  1. 모세가 되물었다. "저를 둘러싸고 있는 백성의 보행자가 육십만 명입니다. 그런데 주님께서는 '그들에게 내가 고기를 주어, 한 달 내내 먹게 하겠다' 하고 말씀하시나,
  2. 그들을 먹이려고 양 떼와 소 떼를 잡은들, 그들이 만족해 하겠습니까? 바다에 있는 고기를 모두 잡은들, 그들이 만족해 하겠습니까?"
  3. 주님께서 모세에게 대답하셨다. "나의 손이 짧아지기라도 하였느냐? 이제 너는 내가 말한 것이 너에게 사실로 이루어지는지 그렇지 아니한지를 볼 것이다."
