누가복음 5:29-6:11

 예수님께서는 세리 마태를 제자로 삼으신 것을 비방하는 자들에게 자신은 의인이 아닌 죄인을 불러 회개시키러 오셨다고 말씀하시고 자신을 안식일의 주인으로 천명하셨다.
  
  금식 논쟁(5:29-5:39)    
 
  1. Then Levi held a great banquet for Jesus at his house, and a large crowd of tax collectors and others were eating with them.
  2. But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law who belonged to their sect complained to his disciples, "Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and 'sinners'?"
  3. Jesus answered them, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick.
  4. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance."
  5. They said to him, "John's disciples often fast and pray, and so do the disciples of the Pharisees, but yours go on eating and drinking."
  1. 레위가 자기 집에서 예수에게 큰 잔치를 베풀었는데, 많은 세리와 그 밖의 사람들이 큰 무리를 이루어서, 그들과 한 자리에 앉아서 먹고 있었다.
  2. 바리새파 사람들과 그들의 율법학자들이 예수의 제자들에게 불평하면서 말하였다. "어찌하여 당신들은 세리들과 죄인들과 어울려서 먹고 마시는 거요?"
  3. 예수께서 그들에게 대답하셨다. "건강한 사람에게는 의사가 필요하지 않으나, 병든 사람에게는 필요하다.
  4. 나는 의인을 부르러 온 것이 아니라, 죄인을 불러서 회개시키러 왔다."
  5. 사람들이 예수께 말하였다. "요한의 제자들은 자주 금식하며 기도하고, 바리새파 사람의 제자들도 그렇게 하는데, 당신의 제자들은 먹고 마시는군요."
  1. Jesus answered, "Can you make the guests of the bridegroom fast while he is with them?
  2. But the time will come when the bridegroom will be taken from them; in those days they will fast."
  3. He told them this parable: "No one tears a patch from a new garment and sews it on an old one. If he does, he will have torn the new garment, and the patch from the new will not match the old.
  4. And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. If he does, the new wine will burst the skins, the wine will run out and the wineskins will be ruined.
  5. No, new wine must be poured into new wineskins.
  1. 예수께서 그들에게 말씀하셨다. "너희는 혼인 잔치의 손님들을, 신랑이 그들과 함께 있는 동안에 금식하게 할 수 있겠느냐?
  2. 그러나 신랑을 빼앗길 날이 올 터인데, 그 날에는 그들이 금식할 것이다."
  3. 예수께서는 그들에게 또 비유를 말씀하셨다. "새 옷에서 한 조각을 떼어내서, 낡은 옷에다가 대고 깁는 사람은 없다. 그렇게 하면, 그 새 옷은 찢어져서 못 쓰게 되고, 또 새 옷에서 떼어낸 조각은 낡은 옷에 어울리지도 않을 것이다.
  4. 새 포도주를 낡은 가죽 부대에다가 넣는 사람은 없다. 그렇게 하면, 새 포도주가 그 가죽 부대를 터뜨릴 것이며, 그래서 포도주는 쏟아지고 가죽 부대는 못 쓰게 될 것이다.
  5. 새 포도주는 새 부대에 넣어야 한다.
  1. And no one after drinking old wine wants the new, for he says, 'The old is better.' "
  1. 묵은 포도주를 마시고 나서, 새 포도주를 원하는 사람은 없다. 묵은 포도주를 마신 사람은 묵은 것이 좋다고 한다."
 
  안식일의 주인(6:1-6:11)    
 
  1. One Sabbath Jesus was going through the grainfields, and his disciples began to pick some heads of grain, rub them in their hands and eat the kernels.
  2. Some of the Pharisees asked, "Why are you doing what is unlawful on the Sabbath?"
  3. Jesus answered them, "Have you never read what David did when he and his companions were hungry?
  4. He entered the house of God, and taking the consecrated bread, he ate what is lawful only for priests to eat. And he also gave some to his companions."
  5. Then Jesus said to them, "The Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath."
  1. 한 안식일에 예수께서 밀밭 사이로 지나가시게 되었다. 그런데 그의 제자들이 밀 이삭을 잘라, 손으로 비벼서 먹었다.
  2. 그러자 몇몇 바리새파 사람이 말하였다. "어찌하여 당신들은 안식일에 해서는 안 되는 일을 합니까?"
  3. 예수께서 그들에게 대답하셨다. "다윗과 그 일행이 주렸을 때에, 다윗이 한 일을 너희는 읽어보지 못하였느냐?
  4. 다윗이 하나님의 집에 들어가서, 제사장들 밖에는 먹어서는 안 되는 제단 빵을 집어서 먹고, 자기 일행에게도 주지 않았느냐?"
  5. 그리고 예수께서 그들에게 말씀하셨다. "인자는 안식일의 주인이다."
  1. On another Sabbath he went into the synagogue and was teaching, and a man was there whose right hand was shriveled.
  2. The Pharisees and the teachers of the law were looking for a reason to accuse Jesus, so they watched him closely to see if he would heal on the Sabbath.
  3. But Jesus knew what they were thinking and said to the man with the shriveled hand, "Get up and stand in front of everyone." So he got up and stood there.
  4. Then Jesus said to them, "I ask you, which is lawful on the Sabbath: to do good or to do evil, to save life or to destroy it?"
  5. He looked around at them all, and then said to the man, "Stretch out your hand." He did so, and his hand was completely restored.
  1. 또 다른 안식일에 예수께서 회당에 들어가서 가르치시는데, 거기에는 오른손이 오그라든 사람이 있었다.
  2. 율법학자들과 바리새파 사람들은 예수를 고발할 구실을 찾으려고, 예수가 안식일에 병을 고치시는지 엿보고 있었다.
  3. 예수께서 그들의 생각을 아시고, 손이 오그라든 사람에게 말씀하셨다. "일어나서, 가운데 서라." 그래서 그는 일어나서 섰다.
  4. 예수께서 그들에게 말씀하셨다. "너희에게 물어 보겠다. 안식일에 착한 일을 하는 것이 옳으냐? 악한 일을 하는 것이 옳으냐? 목숨을 건지는 것이 옳으냐? 죽이는 것이 옳으냐?"
  5. 예수께서 그들을 모두 둘러보시고서, 그 사람에게 명하셨다. "네 손을 내밀어라." 그 사람이 그렇게 하니, 그의 손이 회복되었다.
  1. But they were furious and began to discuss with one another what they might do to Jesus.
  1. 그들은 화가 잔뜩 나서, 예수를 어떻게 할까 하고 서로 의논하였다.
