역대하 26:1-28:27

 웃시야는 통치 초기에 하나님 보시기에 정직하게 행하여 형통케 되었으나, 후기에는 교만한 마음으로 제사장의 고유 역할인 성전의 분향 사역을 대신하려다가 하나님의 심판을 받아 문둥병으로 일생을 마쳤다. 요담은 하나님의 전 건축 사업에 힘썼으며, 바르게 행하여 강성하게 되었다. 그러나 그의 아들 아하스는 하나님 앞에서 우상 숭배를 행함으로써 하나님의 진노를 일으켰다.
  
  웃시야의 통치(26:1-26:23)    
 
  1. Then all the people of Judah took Uzziah, who was sixteen years old, and made him king in place of his father Amaziah.
  2. He was the one who rebuilt Elath and restored it to Judah after Amaziah rested with his fathers.
  3. Uzziah was sixteen years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem fifty-two years. His mother's name was Jecoliah; she was from Jerusalem.
  4. He did what was right in the eyes of the LORD, just as his father Amaziah had done.
  5. He sought God during the days of Zechariah, who instructed him in the fear of God. As long as he sought the LORD, God gave him success.
  1. 유다의 온 백성은 웃시야를 왕으로 삼아, 그의 아버지 아마샤의 뒤를 잇게 하였다. 그가 왕이 되었을 때에, 그는 열여섯 살이었다.

  1. He went to war against the Philistines and broke down the walls of Gath, Jabneh and Ashdod. He then rebuilt towns near Ashdod and elsewhere among the Philistines.
  2. God helped him against the Philistines and against the Arabs who lived in Gur Baal and against the Meunites.
  3. The Ammonites brought tribute to Uzziah, and his fame spread as far as the border of Egypt, because he had become very powerful.
  4. Uzziah built towers in Jerusalem at the Corner Gate, at the Valley Gate and at the angle of the wall, and he fortified them.
  5. He also built towers in the desert and dug many cisterns, because he had much livestock in the foothills and in the plain. He had people working his fields and vineyards in the hills and in the fertile lands, for he loved the soil.
  1. 웃시야가 전쟁을 일으켜 블레셋과 싸우고, 가드 성과 야브네 성과 아스돗 성의 성벽들을 헐고, 아스돗 땅과 블레셋 지역 안에 성읍들을 세웠다.

  1. Uzziah had a well-trained army, ready to go out by divisions according to their numbers as mustered by Jeiel the secretary and Maaseiah the officer under the direction of Hananiah, one of the royal officials.
  2. The total number of family leaders over the fighting men was 2,600.
  3. Under their command was an army of 307,500 men trained for war, a powerful force to support the king against his enemies.
  4. Uzziah provided shields, spears, helmets, coats of armor, bows and slingstones for the entire army.
  5. In Jerusalem he made machines designed by skillful men for use on the towers and on the corner defenses to shoot arrows and hurl large stones. His fame spread far and wide, for he was greatly helped until he became powerful.
  1. 웃시야에게는, 언제든지 나가서 싸울 수 있는 큰 규모의 군대가 있었다. 여이엘 병적 기록관과 마아세야 병무담당 비서관이 이들을 징집하여 병적에 올렸다. 이 두 사람은 왕의 직속 지휘관 가운데 한 사람인 하나냐의 지휘를 맡았다.

  1. But after Uzziah became powerful, his pride led to his downfall. He was unfaithful to the LORD his God, and entered the temple of the LORD to burn incense on the altar of incense.
  2. Azariah the priest with eighty other courageous priests of the LORD followed him in.
  3. They confronted him and said, "It is not right for you, Uzziah, to burn incense to the LORD. That is for the priests, the descendants of Aaron, who have been consecrated to burn incense. Leave the sanctuary, for you have been unfaithful; and you will not be honored by the LORD God."
  4. Uzziah, who had a censer in his hand ready to burn incense, became angry. While he was raging at the priests in their presence before the incense altar in the LORD's temple, leprosy broke out on his forehead.
  5. When Azariah the chief priest and all the other priests looked at him, they saw that he had leprosy on his forehead, so they hurried him out. Indeed, he himself was eager to leave, because the LORD had afflicted him.
  1. 웃시야 왕은 힘이 세어지면서 교만하게 되더니, 드디어 악한 일을 저지르고 말았다. 주님의 성전 안에 있는 분향단에다가 분향을 하려고 그리로 들어간 것이다. 이것은 주 하나님께 죄를 짓는 일이었다.
  2. 아사랴 제사장이, 용감하고 힘이 센 주님의 제사장 팔십 명을 데리고 왕의 뒤를 따라 들어가면서,
  3. 웃시야 왕을 말렸다. 제사장들이 외쳤다. "웃시야 임금님께서는 들으십시오. 주님께 분향하는 일은 왕이 할 일이 아닙니다. 분향하는 일은, 이 직무를 수행하도록 거룩하게 구별된 제사장들, 곧 아론의 혈통을 이어받은 제사장들만이 할 수 있는 일입니다. 이 거룩한 곳에서 어서 물러나시기 바랍니다. 왕이 범죄하였으니 주 하나님께 높임을 받지 못할 것입니다."
  4. 웃시야는 성전 안 분향단 옆에 서서 향로를 들고 막 분향하려다가 이 말을 듣고 화를 냈다. 그가 제사장들에게 화를 낼 때에 그의 이마에 나병이 생겼다.
  5. 아사랴 대제사장과 다른 제사장들이 그를 살펴보고 그의 이마에 나병이 생긴 것을 확인하고, 그를 곧 그 곳에서 쫓아냈다. 주님께서 웃시야를 재앙으로 치셨으므로 그는 급히 나갔다.
  1. King Uzziah had leprosy until the day he died. He lived in a separate house --leprous, and excluded from the temple of the LORD. Jotham his son had charge of the palace and governed the people of the land.
  2. The other events of Uzziah's reign, from beginning to end, are recorded by the prophet Isaiah son of Amoz.
  3. Uzziah rested with his fathers and was buried near them in a field for burial that belonged to the kings, for people said, "He had leprosy." And Jotham his son succeeded him as king.
  1. 그는 죽는 날까지 나병을 앓았다. 주님의 성전을 출입하는 것도 허용되지 않았으므로, 나병환자인 그는 별궁에 격리되어 여생을 보냈다. 왕자 요담이 왕실을 관리하며 나라의 백성을 다스렸다.

  요담의 통치(27:1-27:9)    
 
  1. Jotham was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem sixteen years. His mother's name was Jerusha daughter of Zadok.
  2. He did what was right in the eyes of the LORD, just as his father Uzziah had done, but unlike him he did not enter the temple of the LORD. The people, however, continued their corrupt practices.
  3. Jotham rebuilt the Upper Gate of the temple of the LORD and did extensive work on the wall at the hill of Ophel.
  4. He built towns in the Judean hills and forts and towers in the wooded areas.
  5. Jotham made war on the king of the Ammonites and conquered them. That year the Ammonites paid him a hundred talents of silver, ten thousand cors of wheat and ten thousand cors of barley. The Ammonites brought him the same amount also in the second and third years.
  1. 요담이 왕이 되었을 때에, 그는 스물다섯 살이었다. 그는 예루살렘에서 열여섯 해 동안 다스렸다. 그의 어머니 여루사는 사독의 딸이다.

  1. Jotham grew powerful because he walked steadfastly before the LORD his God.
  2. The other events in Jotham's reign, including all his wars and the other things he did, are written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah.
  3. He was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem sixteen years.
  4. Jotham rested with his fathers and was buried in the City of David. And Ahaz his son succeeded him as king.
  1. 요담은, 주 그의 하나님 앞에서 바른 길을 걸으며 살았으므로 점점 강해졌다.
  2. 요담이 다스리던 기간에 생긴 다른 사건들, 그가 전쟁에 나가 싸운 것과 그의 행적들은, '이스라엘과 유다 열왕기'에 기록되어 있다.

  아하스의 통치(28:1-28:27)    
 
  1. Ahaz was twenty years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem sixteen years. Unlike David his father, he did not do what was right in the eyes of the LORD.
  2. He walked in the ways of the kings of Israel and also made cast idols for worshiping the Baals.
  3. He burned sacrifices in the Valley of Ben Hinnom and sacrificed his sons in the fire, following the detestable ways of the nations the LORD had driven out before the Israelites.
  4. He offered sacrifices and burned incense at the high places, on the hilltops and under every spreading tree.
  5. Therefore the LORD his God handed him over to the king of Aram. The Arameans defeated him and took many of his people as prisoners and brought them to Damascus. He was also given into the hands of the king of Israel, who inflicted heavy casualties on him.
  1. 아하스가 왕이 되었을 때에, 그는 스무 살이었다. 그는 예루살렘에서 열여섯 해 동안 다스렸다. 그러나 그는 주님께서 보시기에 올바른 일을 하지 않았다. 그는 그의 조상 다윗이 한 대로 하지 않았다.

  1. In one day Pekah son of Remaliah killed a hundred and twenty thousand soldiers in Judah--because Judah had forsaken the LORD, the God of their fathers.
  2. Zicri, an Ephraimite warrior, killed Maaseiah the king's son, Azrikam the officer in charge of the palace, and Elkanah, second to the king.
  3. The Israelites took captive from their kinsmen two hundred thousand wives, sons and daughters. They also took a great deal of plunder, which they carried back to Samaria.
  4. But a prophet of the LORD named Oded was there, and he went out to meet the army when it returned to Samaria. He said to them, "Because the LORD, the God of your fathers, was angry with Judah, he gave them into your hand. But you have slaughtered them in a rage that reaches to heaven.
  5. And now you intend to make the men and women of Judah and Jerusalem your slaves. But aren't you also guilty of sins against the LORD your God?
  1. 이스라엘의 르말리야의 아들 베가 왕이 유다에서 하루 동안에 용사들을 십이만 명이나 죽였다. 유다 사람들이 조상의 주 하나님을 버렸기 때문이다.
  2. 에브라임의 용사 시그리가 마아세야 왕자와 아스리감 궁내대신과 엘가나 총리대신을 죽였다.
  3. 이스라엘 군대는 그들의 동족인 유다 사람들을, 아내들과 아이들까지 합쳐 무려 이십만 명이나 사로잡고, 물건도 많이 약탈하여 사마리아로 가져 갔다.
  4. 사마리아에 오뎃이라고 하는 주님의 예언자가 있었는데, 그가, 사마리아로 개선하는 군대를 마중하러 나가서, 그들을 보고 말하였다. "주 당신들의 조상의 하나님께서 유다 백성에게 진노하셔서, 그들을 당신들의 손에 붙이신 것은 사실이오. 하지만 당신들이 살기가 등등하여 그들을 살육하고,
  5. 그것으로 성이 차지 않아서, 유다와 예루살렘의 남녀들까지 노예로 삼을 작정을 하고 있소. 당신들도 주 하나님을 거역하는 죄를 지었다는 것을 알아야 하오.
  1. Now listen to me! Send back your fellow countrymen you have taken as prisoners, for the LORD's fierce anger rests on you."
  2. Then some of the leaders in Ephraim--Azariah son of Jehohanan, Berekiah son of Meshillemoth, Jehizkiah son of Shallum, and Amasa son of Hadlai--confronted those who were arriving from the war.
  3. "You must not bring those prisoners here," they said, "or we will be guilty before the LORD. Do you intend to add to our sin and guilt? For our guilt is already great, and his fierce anger rests on Israel."
  4. So the soldiers gave up the prisoners and plunder in the presence of the officials and all the assembly.
  5. The men designated by name took the prisoners, and from the plunder they clothed all who were naked. They provided them with clothes and sandals, food and drink, and healing balm. All those who were weak they put on donkeys. So they took them back to their fellow countrymen at Jericho, the City of Palms, and returned to Samaria.
  1. 당신들은 이제 내가 하는 말을 들으시오. 당신들이 잡아 온 이 포로들은 바로 당신들의 형제자매이니, 곧 풀어 주어 돌아가게 하시오. 그렇게 하지 않으면, 주님께서 진노하셔서 당장 당신들을 벌하실 것이오."

  3. 그들에게 말하였다. "이 포로들을 이리로 끌어들이지 마시오. 이런 일을 저질렀기 때문에, 우리가 모두 주님 앞에서 죄인이 되었소. 당신들은 우리의 죄와 허물을 더욱 많게 하였소. 우리의 허물이 이렇게 많아져서, 우리 이스라엘이 주님의 진노를 피할 수 없게 되었소."
  4. 무장한 군인들이 이 말을 듣고, 포로와 전리품을 백성과 지도자들에게 넘겼다.
  5. 사람들이 위의 네 지도자들에게, 포로를 돌보아 주도록 임무를 맡기니, 그 네 사람이 전리품을 풀어서, 헐벗은 이들을 입히고, 맨발로 걸어온 이들에게 신을 신기고, 먹을 것과 마실 것을 가져다 주고, 상처를 입은 이들에게는 기름을 발라 치료하여 주고, 환자들은 나귀에 태워 모두 종려나무 성 여리고로 데리고 가서, 그들의 친척에게 넘겨 주고, 사마리아로 되돌아왔다.
  1. At that time King Ahaz sent to the king of Assyria for help.
  2. The Edomites had again come and attacked Judah and carried away prisoners,
  3. while the Philistines had raided towns in the foothills and in the Negev of Judah. They captured and occupied Beth Shemesh, Aijalon and Gederoth, as well as Soco, Timnah and Gimzo, with their surrounding villages.
  4. The LORD had humbled Judah because of Ahaz king of Israel, for he had promoted wickedness in Judah and had been most unfaithful to the LORD.
  5. Tiglath-Pileser king of Assyria came to him, but he gave him trouble instead of help.
  1. 한번은 유다 왕 아하스가 앗시리아의 왕에게 사신을 보내어 도움을 청한 일이 있다.
  2. 에돔 사람이 다시 와서, 유다를 치고, 백성을 사로잡아 갔으며,
  3. 블레셋 사람도 유다의 평지와 남방 성읍들을 침략하여, 벳세메스와 아얄론과 그데롯을 점령하고, 소고를 포함한 그 주변 성읍들과 딤나와 김소와 그 인근 마을들을 점령하고, 거기에 정착하였기 때문이다.
  4. 이스라엘의 아하스 왕이 백성을 부추기어 주님께 크게 범죄하였으므로, 주님께서 유다를 낮추셨던 것이다.
  5. 앗시리아의 디글랏빌레셀 왕이 오기는 왔으나, 아하스를 돕기는 커녕 도리어 그를 쳐서 곤경에 빠뜨렸다.
  1. Ahaz took some of the things from the temple of the LORD and from the royal palace and from the princes and presented them to the king of Assyria, but that did not help him.
  2. In his time of trouble King Ahaz became even more unfaithful to the LORD.
  3. He offered sacrifices to the gods of Damascus, who had defeated him; for he thought, "Since the gods of the kings of Aram have helped them, I will sacrifice to them so they will help me." But they were his downfall and the downfall of all Israel.
  4. Ahaz gathered together the furnishings from the temple of God and took them away. He shut the doors of the LORD's temple and set up altars at every street corner in Jerusalem.
  5. In every town in Judah he built high places to burn sacrifices to other gods and provoked the LORD, the God of his fathers, to anger.
  1. 아하스가 주님의 성전과 자기의 왕궁과 대신들의 집에서 보물을 꺼내어 앗시리아의 왕에게 바쳤으나, 별 효과가 없었다.
  2. 사태가 이렇게 악화되었는데도, 아하스 왕은 주님께 더욱 범죄하여,
  3. 자기를 친 다마스쿠스 사람들이 섬기는 신들에게 제사를 지내면서 "시리아 왕들이 섬긴 신들이 그 왕들을 도왔으니, 나도 그 신들에게 제사를 드리면, 그 신들이 나를 돕겠지" 하고 생각하였다. 그러나 이러한 일이 오히려 아하스와 온 이스라엘을 망하게 하였다.
  4. 그뿐만 아니라, 아하스는 하나님의 성전 안에 있는 기구를 거두어다가 부수고, 또 주님의 성전으로 드나드는 문들을 닫아 걸고, 예루살렘 이곳 저곳에 제단을 쌓고,
  5. 유다의 각 성읍에 산당을 세우고, 다른 신들에게 분향하여, 조상 때부터 섬겨 온 주 하나님을 진노케 하였다.
  1. The other events of his reign and all his ways, from beginning to end, are written in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel.
  2. Ahaz rested with his fathers and was buried in the city of Jerusalem, but he was not placed in the tombs of the kings of Israel. And Hezekiah his son succeeded him as king.
  1. 이것 말고도, 아하스가 한 모든 일과 행위는, 처음부터 끝까지, '유다와 이스라엘 열왕기'에 기록되어 있다.
  2. 아하스가 그의 조상과 함께 잠드니, 그를 왕실 묘지에 장사하지 않고, 예루살렘 성 안에 장사했다. 그의 아들 히스기야가 그의 뒤를 이어 왕이 되었다.
