이사야 9:1-10:34

 이사야는 하나님의 구원 역사를 이루시는 메시아의 도래와 그로 인한 해방의 기쁨을 묘사하였다. 메시아로 탄생할 한 아들은 곧 하나님이시며 다윗 왕국을 영원히 다스리실 평강의 왕이라고 예언하였다. 그리고 하나님의 경고에도 불구하고 완악한 이스라엘은 앗수르에 의해 심판을 받지만, 결국 교만해진 앗수르는 멸망하게 되고 하나님만 의지하는 자들은 보호를 받을 것이라고 예언하였다.
  
  메시아의 탄생과 사역(9:1-9:21)    
 
  1. Nevertheless, there will be no more gloom for those who were in distress. In the past he humbled the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, but in the future he will honor Galilee of the Gentiles, by the way of the sea, along the Jordan-
  2. The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death a light has dawned.
  3. You have enlarged the nation and increased their joy; they rejoice before you as people rejoice at the harvest, as men rejoice when dividing the plunder.
  4. For as in the day of Midian's defeat, you have shattered the yoke that burdens them, the bar across their shoulders, the rod of their oppressor.
  5. Every warrior's boot used in battle and every garment rolled in blood will be destined for burning, will be fuel for the fire.
  1. 어둠 속에서 고통받던 백성에게서 어둠이 걷힐 날이 온다. 옛적에는 주님께서 스불론 땅과 납달리 땅으로 멸시를 받게 버려두셨으나, 그 뒤로는 주님께서 서쪽 지중해로부터 요단 강 동쪽 지역에 이르기까지, 그리고 이방 사람이 살고 있는 갈릴리 지역까지, 이 모든 지역을 영화롭게 하실 것이다.
  2. 어둠 속에서 헤매던 백성이 큰 빛을 보았고, 죽음의 그림자가 드리운 땅에 사는 사람들에게 빛이 비쳤다.
  3. "하나님, 주님께서 그들에게 큰 기쁨을 주셨고, 그들을 행복하게 하셨습니다. 사람들이 곡식을 거둘 때 기뻐하듯이, 그들이 주님 앞에서 기뻐하며, 군인들이 전리품을 나눌 때 즐거워하듯이, 그들이 주님 앞에서 즐거워합니다.
  4. 주님께서 미디안을 치시던 날처럼, 그들을 내리누르던 멍에를 부수시고, 그들의 어깨를 짓누르던 통나무와 압제자의 몽둥이를 꺾으셨기 때문입니다.
  5. 침략자의 군화와 피묻은 군복이 모두 땔감이 되어서, 불에 타 없어질 것이기 때문입니다."
  1. For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
  2. Of the increase of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David's throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the LORD Almighty will accomplish this.
  3. The Lord has sent a message against Jacob; it will fall on Israel.
  4. All the people will know it-- Ephraim and the inhabitants of Samaria-- who say with pride and arrogance of heart,
  5. "The bricks have fallen down, but we will rebuild with dressed stone; the fig trees have been felled, but we will replace them with cedars."
  1. 한 아기가 우리를 위해 태어났다. 우리가 한 아들을 모셨다. 그는 우리의 통치자가 될 것이다. 그의 이름은 '놀라우신 조언자', '전능하신 하나님', '영존하시는 아버지', '평화의 왕'이라고 불릴 것이다.

  5. "벽돌집이 무너지면 다듬은 돌로 다시 쌓고, 뽕나무가 찍히면 백향목을 대신 심겠다" 한다.
  1. But the LORD has strengthened Rezin's foes against them and has spurred their enemies on.
  2. Arameans from the east and Philistines from the west have devoured Israel with open mouth. Yet for all this, his anger is not turned away, his hand is still upraised.
  3. But the people have not returned to him who struck them, nor have they sought the LORD Almighty.
  4. So the LORD will cut off from Israel both head and tail, both palm branch and reed in a single day;
  5. the elders and prominent men are the head, the prophets who teach lies are the tail.
  1. 이 때문에 주님께서 그들을 치시려고 르신의 적을 일으키셨고, 그들의 원수를 부추기셨다.
  2. 동쪽에서는 시리아 사람들이, 서쪽에서는 블레셋 사람들이, 그 입을 크게 벌려서 이스라엘을 삼켰다. 그래도 주님께서는 진노를 풀지 않으시고, 심판을 계속하시려고 여전히 손을 들고 계신다.
  3. 그런데도 이 백성은 그들을 치신 분에게로 돌아오지 않았고, 만군의 주님을 찾지도 않았다.
  4. 그러므로 주님께서 이스라엘의 머리와 꼬리, 종려가지와 갈대를 하루에 자르실 것이다.
  5. 머리는 곧 장로와 고관들이고, 꼬리는 곧 거짓을 가르치는 예언자들이다.
  1. Those who guide this people mislead them, and those who are guided are led astray.
  2. Therefore the Lord will take no pleasure in the young men, nor will he pity the fatherless and widows, for everyone is ungodly and wicked, every mouth speaks vileness. Yet for all this, his anger is not turned away, his hand is still upraised.
  3. Surely wickedness burns like a fire; it consumes briers and thorns, it sets the forest thickets ablaze, so that it rolls upward in a column of smoke.
  4. By the wrath of the LORD Almighty the land will be scorched and the people will be fuel for the fire; no one will spare his brother.
  5. On the right they will devour, but still be hungry; on the left they will eat, but not be satisfied. Each will feed on the flesh of his own offspring :
  1. 이 백성을 인도하는 지도자들이 잘못 인도하니, 인도를 받는 백성이 멸망할 수밖에 없다.
  2. 그러므로 주님께서 그들의 젊은이들에게 자비를 베풀지 않으실 것이며, 그들의 고아와 과부를 불쌍히 여기지 않으실 것이다. 그들은 모두가 불경건하여 악한 일을 하고, 입으로는 어리석은 말만 한다. 그래서 주님께서는 진노를 풀지 않으시고, 심판을 계속하시려고, 여전히 손을 들고 계신다.
  3. 참으로 악이 불처럼 타올라서 찔레나무와 가시나무를 삼켜 버리고, 우거진 숲을 사르니, 이것이 연기 기둥이 되어 휘돌며 올라간다.
  4. 만군의 주님의 진노로 땅이 바싹 타버리니, 그 백성이 마치 불을 때는 땔감같이 되며, 아무도 서로를 아끼지 않을 것이다.
  5. 오른쪽에서 뜯어먹어도 배가 고프고, 왼쪽에서 삼켜도 배부르지 않아, 각각 제 팔뚝의 살점을 뜯어먹을 것이다.
  1. Manasseh will feed on Ephraim, and Ephraim on Manasseh; together they will turn against Judah. Yet for all this, his anger is not turned away, his hand is still upraised.
  1. 므낫세는 에브라임을 먹고, 에브라임은 므낫세를 먹고, 그들이 다 함께 유다에 대항할 것이다. 그래서 주님께서는 진노를 풀지 않으시고, 심판을 계속하시려고 여전히 손을 들고 계신다.
 
  앗수르의 심판(10:1-10:34)    
 
  1. Woe to those who make unjust laws, to those who issue oppressive decrees,
  2. to deprive the poor of their rights and withhold justice from the oppressed of my people, making widows their prey and robbing the fatherless.
  3. What will you do on the day of reckoning, when disaster comes from afar? To whom will you run for help? Where will you leave your riches?
  4. Nothing will remain but to cringe among the captives or fall among the slain. Yet for all this, his anger is not turned away, his hand is still upraised.
  5. "Woe to the Assyrian, the rod of my anger, in whose hand is the club of my wrath!
  1. 불의한 법을 공포하고, 양민을 괴롭히는 법령을 제정하는 자들아, 너희에게 재앙이 닥친다!
  2. 가난한 자들의 소송을 외면하고, 불쌍한 나의 백성에게서 권리를 박탈하며, 과부들을 노략하고, 고아들을 약탈하였다.
  3. 주님께서 징벌하시는 날에, 먼 곳으로부터 재앙을 끌어들이시는 날에, 너희는 어찌하려느냐? 누구에게로 도망하여 도움을 청할 것이며, 너희의 재산을 어디에 감추어 두려느냐?
  4. 너희는 포로들 밑에 깔려 밟혀 죽거나, 시체 더미 밑에 깔려 질식할 것이다. 그래도 주님께서는 진노를 풀지 않으시고, 심판을 계속하시려고, 여전히 손을 들고 계신다.
  5. 앗시리아에게 재앙이 닥쳐라! 그는 나의 진노의 몽둥이요, 그의 손에 있는 몽둥이는 바로 나의 분노다.
  1. I send him against a godless nation, I dispatch him against a people who anger me, to seize loot and snatch plunder, and to trample them down like mud in the streets.
  2. But this is not what he intends, this is not what he has in mind; his purpose is to destroy, to put an end to many nations.
  3. 'Are not my commanders all kings?' he says.
  4. 'Has not Calno fared like Carchemish? Is not Hamath like Arpad, and Samaria like Damascus?
  5. As my hand seized the kingdoms of the idols, kingdoms whose images excelled those of Jerusalem and Samaria-
  1. 내가 그를 경건하지 않은 민족에게 보내며, 그에게 명하여 나를 분노하게 한 백성을 치게 하며 그들을 닥치는 대로 노략하고 약탈하게 하며, 거리의 진흙같이 짓밟도록 하였다.
  2. 앗시리아 왕은 그렇게 할 뜻이 없었고, 마음에 그럴 생각도 품지 않았다. 오직 그의 마음 속에는, '어떻게 하면 많은 민족들을 파괴하고, 어떻게 하면 그들을 멸망하게 할까' 하는 생각뿐이었다.
  3. 그는 이런 말도 하였다. "나의 지휘관들은 어디다 내놓아도 다 왕이 될 수 있는 사람들이 아니냐?
  4. 갈로는 갈그미스처럼 망하지 않았느냐? 하맛도 아르밧처럼 망하지 않았느냐? 사마리아도 다마스쿠스처럼 망하지 않았느냐?
  5. 내가 이미 우상을 섬기는 나라들을 장악하였다. 예루살렘과 사마리아가 가진 우상보다 더 많은 우상을 섬기는 왕국들을 장악하였다.
  1. shall I not deal with Jerusalem and her images as I dealt with Samaria and her idols?' "
  2. When the Lord has finished all his work against Mount Zion and Jerusalem, he will say, "I will punish the king of Assyria for the willful pride of his heart and the haughty look in his eyes.
  3. For he says: " 'By the strength of my hand I have done this, and by my wisdom, because I have understanding. I removed the boundaries of nations, I plundered their treasures; like a mighty one I subdued their kings.
  4. As one reaches into a nest, so my hand reached for the wealth of the nations; as men gather abandoned eggs, so I gathered all the countries; not one flapped a wing, or opened its mouth to chirp.' "
  5. Does the ax raise itself above him who swings it, or the saw boast against him who uses it? As if a rod were to wield him who lifts it up, or a club brandish him who is not wood!
  1. 내가 사마리아와 그 조각한 우상들을 손에 넣었거늘, 예루살렘과 그 우상들을 그렇게 하지 못하겠느냐?"
  2. 그러므로 주님께서 시온 산과 예루살렘에서 하실 일을 다 이루시고 말씀하실 것이다. "내가 앗시리아 왕을 벌하겠다. 멋대로 거드름을 피우며, 모든 사람을 업신여기는 그 교만을 벌하겠다."
  3. 그는 말한다. "내가 민족들의 경계선을 옮겼고, 그들의 재물도 탈취하였으며, 용맹스럽게 주민을 진압하였다. 나는 내 손의 힘과 내 지혜로 이것을 하였다. 참으로 나는 현명한 사람이다.
  4. 내 손이 민족들의 재물을 새의 보금자리를 움키듯 움켰고, 온 땅을 버려진 알들을 모으듯 차지하였으나, 날개를 치거나, 입을 벌리거나, 소리를 내는 자가 없었다."
  5. 도끼가 어찌 찍는 사람에게 뽐내며, 톱이 어찌 켜는 사람에게 으스대겠느냐? 이것은 마치 막대기가 막대기를 잡은 사람을 움직이려 하고, 몽둥이가 나무 아닌 사람을 들어 올리려 하는 것과 같지 않으냐!
  1. Therefore, the Lord, the LORD Almighty, will send a wasting disease upon his sturdy warriors; under his pomp a fire will be kindled like a blazing flame.
  2. The Light of Israel will become a fire, their Holy One a flame; in a single day it will burn and consume his thorns and his briers.
  3. The splendor of his forests and fertile fields it will completely destroy, as when a sick man wastes away.
  4. And the remaining trees of his forests will be so few that a child could write them down.
  5. In that day the remnant of Israel, the survivors of the house of Jacob, will no longer rely on him who struck them down but will truly rely on the LORD, the Holy One of Israel.
  1. 그러므로 만군의 주 하나님께서 질병을 보내어 살진 자들을 파리하게 하실 것이다. 생사람의 가슴에 불을 질러 홧병에 걸려 죽게 하실 것이다. 그의 재물은 화염 속에 태워 버리실 것이다.
  2. 이스라엘의 빛은 불이 되며 '이스라엘의 거룩하신 분'은 불꽃이 되셔서, 가시나무와 찔레나무를 하루에 태워서 사르실 것이다.
  3. 그 울창한 숲과 기름진 옥토를 모조리 태워서, 폐허로 만드실 것이다. 마치 병자가 기력을 잃는 것과 같게 하실 것이다.
  4. 숲 속에는 겨우 몇 그루의 나무만 남아서, 어린 아이도 그 수를 기록할 수 있을 것이다.
  5. 그 날이 오면, 이스라엘 가운데서 남은 사람들과 야곱 겨레 가운데서 살아 남은 사람들이 다시는 그들을 친 자를 의뢰하지 않고, 오직 '이스라엘의 거룩하신 분'인 주님만을 진심으로 의지할 것이다.
  1. A remnant will return, a remnant of Jacob will return to the Mighty God.
  2. Though your people, O Israel, be like the sand by the sea, only a remnant will return. Destruction has been decreed, overwhelming and righteous.
  3. The Lord, the LORD Almighty, will carry out the destruction decreed upon the whole land.
  4. Therefore, this is what the Lord, the LORD Almighty, says: "O my people who live in Zion, do not be afraid of the Assyrians, who beat you with a rod and lift up a club against you, as Egypt did.
  5. Very soon my anger against you will end and my wrath will be directed to their destruction."
  1. 남은 사람들이 돌아올 것이다. 야곱의 자손 가운데서 남은 사람들이 전능하신 하나님께 돌아올 것이다.
  2. 이스라엘아, 네 백성이 바다의 모래처럼 많다고 하여도, 그들 가운데서 오직 남은 사람들만이 돌아올 것이다. 너의 파멸이 공의로운 판결에 따라서 이미 결정되었다.
  3. 파멸이 이미 결정되었으니, 주님, 곧 만군의 주님께서 온 땅 안에서 심판을 강행하실 것이다.
  4. 그러므로 주 만군의 하나님께서 이렇게 말씀하신다. "시온에 사는 나의 백성아, 앗시리아가 몽둥이를 들어 너를 때리고, 이집트가 그랬듯이 철퇴를 들어 너에게 내리친다 하여도, 두려워하지 말아라.
  5. 너에게는 머지않아 내가 분노를 풀겠으나, 그들에게는 내가 분노를 풀지 않고, 그들을 멸망시키겠다."
  1. The LORD Almighty will lash them with a whip, as when he struck down Midian at the rock of Oreb; and he will raise his staff over the waters, as he did in Egypt.
  2. In that day their burden will be lifted from your shoulders, their yoke from your neck; the yoke will be broken because you have grown so fat.
  3. They enter Aiath; they pass through Migron; they store supplies at Micmash.
  4. They go over the pass, and say, "We will camp overnight at Geba." Ramah trembles; Gibeah of Saul flees.
  5. Cry out, O Daughter of Gallim! Listen, O Laishah! Poor Anathoth!
  1. 만군의 주님께서 오렙 바위에서 미디안 사람을 치신 것 같이 채찍을 들어 앗시리아를 치시며, 또한 이집트에서 바다를 치신 것 같이 몽둥이를 들어서 그들을 치실 것이다.
  2. 그 날이 오면, 주님께서, 앗시리아가 지워 준 무거운 짐을 너의 어깨에서 벗기시고, 앗시리아의 멍에를 너의 목에서 벗기실 것이다. 네가 살이 쪄서 멍에가 부러질 것이다.
  3. 앗시리아 왕이 리몬에서부터 올라가서 그가 아얏으로 들어갔다. 미그론을 지나서, 믹마스에다가 그의 군수품을 보관하였다.
  4. 험한 길을 지나서, 게바에서 하룻밤을 묵겠다고 하니, 라마 사람들은 떨고, 사울의 고향 기브아 사람들은 도망하였다.
  5. 딸 갈림아, 큰소리로 외쳐라. 라이사야, 귀를 기울여라. 가련한 아나돗아, 대답하여라.
  1. Madmenah is in flight; the people of Gebim take cover.
  2. This day they will halt at Nob; they will shake their fist at the mount of the Daughter of Zion, at the hill of Jerusalem.
  3. See, the Lord, the LORD Almighty, will lop off the boughs with great power. The lofty trees will be felled, the tall ones will be brought low.
  4. He will cut down the forest thickets with an ax; Lebanon will fall before the Mighty One.
  1. 맛메나 사람이 도망 친다. 게빔 주민이 그 뒤를 따른다.
  2. 바로 그 날, 벌써 적들이 놉 마을에 들어왔다. 딸 시온 산에서, 예루살렘 성 안에서 주먹을 휘두른다.
  3. 그러나 주님, 곧 만군의 주님께서 그들을 나뭇가지 치시듯 요란하게 치실 것이니, 큰 나무들이 찍히듯, 우뚝 솟은 나무들이 쓰러지듯, 그들이 그렇게 쓰러질 것이다.
  4. 빽빽한 삼림의 나무를 도끼로 찍듯이, 그들을 찍으실 것이다. 레바논이 전능하신 분 앞에서 쓰러질 것이다.
