예레미야 31:27-32:44

 예레미야의 예언대로 유다는 바벨론 군대에게 포위당했다. 하나님께서는 유다 지도자들에게 잡혀 감금된 예레미야에게 밭을 사라고 명하셨다. 이에 예레미야는 사촌 하나멜의 밭을 사기로 하고 돈을 지불하고 매매 증서를 작성하였다. 이것은 하나님께서 포로 귀환 후 모든 질서를 회복시킬 것을 상징적으로 보여 주는 것이었다.
  
  새 언약(31:27-31:40)    
 
  1. "The days are coming," declares the LORD, "when I will plant the house of Israel and the house of Judah with the offspring of men and of animals.
  2. Just as I watched over them to uproot and tear down, and to overthrow, destroy and bring disaster, so I will watch over them to build and to plant," declares the LORD.
  3. "In those days people will no longer say, 'The fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the children's teeth are set on edge.'
  4. Instead, everyone will die for his own sin; whoever eats sour grapes--his own teeth will be set on edge.
  5. "The time is coming," declares the LORD, "when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah.
  1. "그 때가 오면, 내가 이스라엘 집과 유다 집에 사람의 씨와 짐승의 씨를 뿌리겠다. 나 주의 말이다.
  2. 내가 전에 그들을 뽑아내고 부수고 무너뜨리고 멸망시키고 재앙에 빠뜨리려고, 감시를 늦추지 않았으나, 이제는 내가 그들을 세우고 심으려고, 감시를 늦추지 않겠다. 나 주의 말이다.

  1. It will not be like the covenant I made with their forefathers when I took them by the hand to lead them out of Egypt, because they broke my covenant, though I was a husband to them, " declares the LORD.
  2. "This is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after that time," declares the LORD. "I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people.
  3. No longer will a man teach his neighbor, or a man his brother, saying, 'Know the LORD,' because they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest," declares the LORD. "For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more."
  4. This is what the LORD says, he who appoints the sun to shine by day, who decrees the moon and stars to shine by night, who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar-- the LORD Almighty is his name:
  5. "Only if these decrees vanish from my sight," declares the LORD, "will the descendants of Israel ever cease to be a nation before me."

  4. 낮에는 해를 주셔서 빛을 밝혀 주시고, 밤에는 달과 별들이 빛을 밝히도록 정하여 놓으시고, 바다를 뒤흔들어 파도가 소리 치게 하시는 분, 그 이름은 만군의 주님이시다. 주님께서 이렇게 말씀하신다.
  5. "이 정해진 질서가 내 앞에서 사라지지 않는 한, 이스라엘 자손도 내 앞에서 언제까지나 한 민족으로 남아 있을 것이다. 나 주의 말이다.
  1. This is what the LORD says: "Only if the heavens above can be measured and the foundations of the earth below be searched out will I reject all the descendants of Israel because of all they have done," declares the LORD.
  2. "The days are coming," declares the LORD, "when this city will be rebuilt for me from the Tower of Hananel to the Corner Gate.
  3. The measuring line will stretch from there straight to the hill of Gareb and then turn to Goah.
  4. The whole valley where dead bodies and ashes are thrown, and all the terraces out to the Kidron Valley on the east as far as the corner of the Horse Gate, will be holy to the LORD. The city will never again be uprooted or demolished."
  1. 나 주가 말한다. 누가 위로 하늘을 다 재고, 아래로 땅의 기초를 다 측정할 수 있다면, 나도 이스라엘의 모든 자손이 한 온갖 일들 때문에 그들을 버릴 수 있을 것이다. 나 주의 말이다.
  2. 그 때가 오면, 이 도성이 나 주의 것으로 재건될 것이다. 나 주의 말이다. 하나넬 망대에서부터 모퉁이 성문에 이르기까지 이어지고,

  4. 그 다음에 시체와 잿더미로 가득 찬 골짜기 전역과, 기드론 시냇가에서 동쪽의 밭들의 모퉁이에 이르는 모든 평지가 나 주의 거룩한 땅이 되고, 절대로 다시는 뽑히거나 허물어지는 일이 없을 것이다."
 
  밭을 산 예레미야(32:1-32:44)    
 
  1. This is the word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD in the tenth year of Zedekiah king of Judah, which was the eighteenth year of Nebuchadnezzar.
  2. The army of the king of Babylon was then besieging Jerusalem, and Jeremiah the prophet was confined in the courtyard of the guard in the royal palace of Judah.
  3. Now Zedekiah king of Judah had imprisoned him there, saying, "Why do you prophesy as you do? You say, 'This is what the LORD says: I am about to hand this city over to the king of Babylon, and he will capture it.
  4. Zedekiah king of Judah will not escape out of the hands of the Babylonians but will certainly be handed over to the king of Babylon, and will speak with him face to face and see him with his own eyes.
  5. He will take Zedekiah to Babylon, where he will remain until I deal with him, declares the LORD. If you fight against the Babylonians, you will not succeed.' "
  1. 유다 왕 시드기야 제 십년에 주님께서 예레미야에게 말씀하셨다. 그 해는 느부갓네살 제 십팔년이었다.
  2. 그 때에 예루살렘은 바빌로니아 왕의 군대에게 포위되어 있었고, 예언자 예레미야는 유다 왕궁의 근위대 뜰 안에 갇혀 있었다.
  3. 유다 왕 시드기야는 예레미야를 그 곳에 가두면서 그에게 이렇게 책망하였다. "그대가 어찌하여 이런 예언을 하였소? '주님께서 이렇게 말씀하신다. 보아라, 내가 이 도성을 바빌로니아 왕의 손에 넘겨 주어서, 그가 이 도성을 점령하게 하겠다.
  4. 유다 왕 시드기야도 바빌로니아 군대의 손에서 벗어나지 못하고, 꼼짝없이 바빌로니아 왕의 손에 넘겨져서, 그 앞에 끌려 나가, 그가 보는 앞에서 직접 항복할 것이다.
  5. 그러면 그가 시드기야를 바빌로니아로 끌고 갈 것이며, 시드기야는 내가 그를 찾아올 때까지 그 곳에 머물러 있을 것이다. 너희는 바빌로니아 군대와 싸워도 절대로 이기지 못할 것이다. 주님께서 하시는 말씀이다.' 이렇게 예언하였다면서요?"
  1. Jeremiah said, "The word of the LORD came to me:
  2. Hanamel son of Shallum your uncle is going to come to you and say, 'Buy my field at Anathoth, because as nearest relative it is your right and duty to buy it.'
  3. "Then, just as the LORD had said, my cousin Hanamel came to me in the courtyard of the guard and said, 'Buy my field at Anathoth in the territory of Benjamin. Since it is your right to redeem it and possess it, buy it for yourself.' "I knew that this was the word of the LORD;
  4. so I bought the field at Anathoth from my cousin Hanamel and weighed out for him seventeen shekels of silver.
  5. I signed and sealed the deed, had it witnessed, and weighed out the silver on the scales.
  1. 주님께서 나에게 말씀하셨다.
  2. "너의 숙부 살룸의 아들 하나멜이 너에게 와서, 아나돗에 있는 그의 밭을 너더러 사라고 하면서, 그 밭을 유산으로 살 우선권이 너에게 있기 때문에, 네가 그것을 사야 한다고 말할 것이다."
  3. 과연 주님의 말씀대로, 숙부의 아들 하나멜이 근위대 뜰 안으로 나를 찾아와서, 내게 부탁하였다. 베냐민 지방의 아나돗에 있는 그의 밭을 나더러 사라고 하였다. 그 밭을 소유할 권리도 나에게 있고, 그 밭을 유산으로 사들일 권리도 나에게 있으니, 그 밭을 사서 내 밭으로 삼으라고 하였다. 그 때에 나는 이것이 바로 주님의 명령임을 깨달았다.
  4. 나는 숙부의 아들 하나멜에게서 아나돗에 있는 그 밭을 사고, 그 값으로 그에게 은 열일곱 세겔을 달아 주었다.
  5. 그 때에 나는 매매계약서에 서명을 하고, 그것을 봉인하고, 증인들을 세우고, 은을 저울에 달아 주었다.
  1. I took the deed of purchase--the sealed copy containing the terms and conditions, as well as the unsealed copy-
  2. and I gave this deed to Baruch son of Neriah, the son of Mahseiah, in the presence of my cousin Hanamel and of the witnesses who had signed the deed and of all the Jews sitting in the courtyard of the guard.
  3. "In their presence I gave Baruch these instructions:
  4. 'This is what the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says: Take these documents, both the sealed and unsealed copies of the deed of purchase, and put them in a clay jar so they will last a long time.
  5. For this is what the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says: Houses, fields and vineyards will again be bought in this land.'
  1. 그리고 나는 법과 규례에 따라서 봉인된 매매계약서를 봉인되지 않은 계약서와 함께 받았다.
  2. 그리고 나는, 숙부의 아들 하나멜과 그 매매계약서에 서명한 증인들과 근위대 뜰 안에 앉아 있던 모든 유다 사람이 보는 앞에서, 그 매매계약서를 마세야의 손자이며 네리야의 아들인 바룩에게 넘겨 주고,
  3. 또한 그들이 모두 보는 앞에서, 바룩에게 부탁하였다.
  4. "나 만군의 주, 이스라엘의 하나님이 말한다. 이 증서들 곧 봉인된 매매계약서와 봉인되지 않은 계약서를 받아서, 옹기그릇에 담아 여러 날 동안 보관하여라.
  5. 참으로 나 만군의 주, 이스라엘의 하나님이 말한다. 사람들이 이 나라에서 다시 집과 밭과 포도원을 살 것이다."
  1. "After I had given the deed of purchase to Baruch son of Neriah, I prayed to the LORD :
  2. "Ah, Sovereign LORD, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you.
  3. You show love to thousands but bring the punishment for the fathers' sins into the laps of their children after them. O great and powerful God, whose name is the LORD Almighty,
  4. great are your purposes and mighty are your deeds. Your eyes are open to all the ways of men; you reward everyone according to his conduct and as his deeds deserve.
  5. You performed miraculous signs and wonders in Egypt and have continued them to this day, both in Israel and among all mankind, and have gained the renown that is still yours.
  1. 나는 네리야의 아들 바룩에게 그 매매계약서를 넘겨 주고 나서, 주님께 이렇게 기도드렸다.
  2. "아, 주 하나님, 보십시오, 크신 권능과 펴신 팔로 하늘과 땅을 지으신 분이 바로 주님이시니, 주님께서는 무슨 일이든지 못하시는 일이 없으십니다.
  3. 주님께서는, 은혜는 수천 대에 이르기까지 베풀어 주시지만, 조상의 죄는 반드시 자손이 치르게 하시는 분이시며, 위대하시고 전능하신 하나님이시요, 만군의 주님으로 이름을 떨치시는 분이십니다.
  4. 주님께서는 계획하는 일도 크시고, 실천하는 힘도 강하시며, 사람들의 모든 삶을 감찰하시고, 각자의 행동과 행실의 결실에 따라서 갚아 주십니다.
  5. 주님께서는 이집트 땅에서 많은 징조와 기적들을 나타내 보이셨고, 오늘날까지 이스라엘 안에서뿐만 아니라 모든 사람에게 그와 같이 하셔서, 주님의 이름을 오늘날과 같이 드높게 하셨습니다.
  1. You brought your people Israel out of Egypt with signs and wonders, by a mighty hand and an outstretched arm and with great terror.
  2. You gave them this land you had sworn to give their forefathers, a land flowing with milk and honey.
  3. They came in and took possession of it, but they did not obey you or follow your law; they did not do what you commanded them to do. So you brought all this disaster upon them.
  4. "See how the siege ramps are built up to take the city. Because of the sword, famine and plague, the city will be handed over to the Babylonians who are attacking it. What you said has happened, as you now see.
  5. And though the city will be handed over to the Babylonians, you, O Sovereign LORD, say to me, 'Buy the field with silver and have the transaction witnessed.' "
  1. 주님께서는 강한 손과 편 팔로, 적들이 무서워 떨게 하는 많은 징조와 기적들을 나타내시면서, 주님의 백성 이스라엘을 이집트 땅에서 이끌어 내셨습니다.
  2. 주님께서는, 그들에게 주겠다고 그들의 조상에게 맹세하신 이 땅, 곧 젖과 꿀이 흐르는 이 땅을 그들에게 주셨습니다.
  3. 그래서 그들이 들어와 이 땅을 차지하였습니다. 그러나 그들은 주님께 순종하지도 않고, 주님의 율법에 따라서 살지도 않고, 주님께서 그들에게 실천하라고 분부하신 모든 것을 실천하지 않았습니다. 그래서 주님께서는 그들에게 이 모든 재앙을 당하게 하셨습니다.
  4. 이 도성을 점령하려고 쌓은 토둔들을 보십시오. 이 도성은 전쟁과 기근과 염병을 보았습니다. 바빌로니아 군대가 이 도성으로 쳐들어와서 이 도성을 점령하였습니다. 주님께서 말씀하신 일이 그대로 들이닥쳤으며, 주님께서는 이루어진 이 일을 친히 보고 계십니다.
  5. 주 하나님, 어찌하여 주님께서는 이 도성이 이미 바빌로니아 군대의 손에 들어가게 되었는데, 저더러 돈을 주고 밭을 사며, 증인들을 세우라고 말씀하셨습니까?"
  1. Then the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah:
  2. "I am the LORD, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?
  3. Therefore, this is what the LORD says: I am about to hand this city over to the Babylonians and to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, who will capture it.
  4. The Babylonians who are attacking this city will come in and set it on fire; they will burn it down, along with the houses where the people provoked me to anger by burning incense on the roofs to Baal and by pouring out drink offerings to other gods.
  5. "The people of Israel and Judah have done nothing but evil in my sight from their youth; indeed, the people of Israel have done nothing but provoke me with what their hands have made, declares the LORD.
  1. 주님께서 예레미야에게 말씀하셨다.
  2. "나는 주다. 모든 사람을 지은 하나님이다. 내가 할 수 없는 일이 어디 있겠느냐?
  3. 나 주가 말한다. 그러므로 보아라, 내가 이 도성을 바빌로니아 사람의 손에 넘겨 준다. 바빌로니아 왕 느부갓네살의 손에 넘겨 줄 터이니, 그가 이 도성을 점령할 것이다.
  4. 그러므로 지금 이 도성을 치고 있는 저 바빌로니아 군대가 들어와서, 이 도성을 불태워 버릴 것이다. 이 도성 사람들이 지붕으로 올라가서, 바알에게 제물을 살라 바치고, 다른 신들에게 술 제물을 바쳐서, 나를 노하게 하였으니, 내가 그 집들을 태워 버리겠다.
  5. 이스라엘 백성과 유다 백성은 젊은 시절부터 내가 보기에 악한 일만을 하였다. 참으로 이스라엘 백성은 자기들의 손으로 만든 우상으로 나를 화나게만 하였다. 나 주의 말이다.
  1. From the day it was built until now, this city has so aroused my anger and wrath that I must remove it from my sight.
  2. The people of Israel and Judah have provoked me by all the evil they have done--they, their kings and officials, their priests and prophets, the men of Judah and the people of Jerusalem.
  3. They turned their backs to me and not their faces; though I taught them again and again, they would not listen or respond to discipline.
  4. They set up their abominable idols in the house that bears my Name and defiled it.
  5. They built high places for Baal in the Valley of Ben Hinnom to sacrifice their sons and daughters to Molech, though I never commanded, nor did it enter my mind, that they should do such a detestable thing and so make Judah sin.
  1. 진정 이 도성은 사람들이 세울 때부터 오늘날까지 나의 분노와 노여움만을 일으켜 놓았기 때문에, 이제는 내가 그것을 내 눈 앞에서 치워 버리겠다.
  2. 이스라엘 백성과 유다 백성이 왕들이나 고관들이나 제사장들이나 예언자들이나 유다 사람이나 예루살렘 주민이나 가릴 것 없이, 모두 온갖 죄악을 저질러서 나를 노하게 하였다.
  3. 그들은 나에게 등을 돌려 나를 외면하였다. 내가 그들을 쉬지 않고 가르쳐 주고 또 가르쳐 주었으나, 그들은 나의 교훈을 받아들이지 않았다.
  4. 오히려 그들은, 내 이름을 찬양하려고 세운 성전 안에 자기들이 섬기는 역겨운 것들을 세워 놓아서, 성전을 더럽혔다.
  5. 또 그들은 자기들의 아들딸들을 불태워 몰렉에게 제물로 바치려고 '힌놈의 아들 골짜기'에 바알의 산당을 쌓아 놓았는데, 나는 절대로 유다 백성을 죄악에 빠뜨리는 이 역겨운 일은 명하지도 않았고, 상상조차도 해본 적이 없다."
  1. "You are saying about this city, 'By the sword, famine and plague it will be handed over to the king of Babylon'; but this is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says:
  2. I will surely gather them from all the lands where I banish them in my furious anger and great wrath; I will bring them back to this place and let them live in safety.
  3. They will be my people, and I will be their God.
  4. I will give them singleness of heart and action, so that they will always fear me for their own good and the good of their children after them.
  5. I will make an everlasting covenant with them: I will never stop doing good to them, and I will inspire them to fear me, so that they will never turn away from me.
  1. "이제 나 주 이스라엘의 하나님이 말한다. 너희는 이 도성을 두고, 전쟁과 기근과 염병을 만나서 바빌로니아 왕의 손에 들어간 도성이라고 말하지만,
  2. 똑똑히 들어라. 내가 분노와 노여움과 울화 때문에 그들을 여러 나라로 내쫓아 버렸다. 그러나 이제 내가 그들을 이 모든 나라에서 모아다가, 이 곳으로 데려와서 안전하게 살게 하겠다.
  3. 그러면 그들이 나의 백성이 되고, 나는 그들의 하나님이 될 것이다.
  4. 그 때에 내가 그들에게 한결같은 마음과 삶을 주어, 그들이 언제나 나를 경외하여 그들 자신뿐만 아니라, 그들의 자손들까지도 길이 복을 받게 하겠다.
  5. 그 때에는 내가 그들과 영원한 언약을 맺고, 내가 그들에게서 영영 떠나지 않고, 그들을 잘되게 할 것이며, 그들의 마음 속에 나를 경외하는 마음을 넣어 주어서, 그들이 나에게서 떠나가지 않게 하겠다.
  1. I will rejoice in doing them good and will assuredly plant them in this land with all my heart and soul.
  2. "This is what the LORD says: As I have brought all this great calamity on this people, so I will give them all the prosperity I have promised them.
  3. Once more fields will be bought in this land of which you say, 'It is a desolate waste, without men or animals, for it has been handed over to the Babylonians.'
  4. Fields will be bought for silver, and deeds will be signed, sealed and witnessed in the territory of Benjamin, in the villages around Jerusalem, in the towns of Judah and in the towns of the hill country, of the western foothills and of the Negev, because I will restore their fortunes, declares the LORD."
  1. 나는 그들을 잘되게 함으로 기뻐할 것이며, 나의 온 마음과 정성을 다하여 그들이 이 땅에 뿌리를 굳게 내리고 살게 하겠다."
  2. "나 주가 말한다. 내가 이 백성에게 이토록 큰 모든 재앙이 미치게 하였으나, 이제 내가 이에 못지않게 그들에게 약속한 모든 복을 베풀어 주겠다.
  3. 너희는 지금 이 땅을 두고 '사람도 없고 짐승도 없는 황무지이며, 바빌로니아 군대의 손에 들어간 땅'이라고 말하지만, 바로 이 땅에서 사람들이 밭을 살 것이다.
  4. 앞으로는 베냐민 땅에서만 아니라, 예루살렘의 사방과 유다의 성읍들과 산간지역의 성읍들과 평지의 성읍들과 남쪽의 성읍들에서도, 사람들이 돈을 주고 밭을 사서 매매계약서를 쓰고, 봉인하고, 증인들을 세울 것이다. 포로로 잡혀 간 사람들을, 내가 돌아오게 할 것이기 때문이다. 나 주의 말이다."
