요엘 2:18-3:21

 요엘은 회개한 자에게는 물질의 복을 풍성히 부어 주시고 환난에서 구원하여 평안을 누리게 해주신다는 하나님의 약속을 전하였다. 그리고 하나님의 신을 만민에게 부어 주실 것과 누구든지 야웨의 이름을 부르는 자를 구원해 주시겠다는 하나님의 약속을 전하였다. 또한 그는 하나님과 이스라엘을 대적했던 열국이 심판을 받게 되며 이스라엘은 최후의 승리와 영원한 축복을 얻게 될 것이라고 예언하였다.
  
  축복과 승리의 약속(2:18-3:21)    
 
  1. Then the LORD will be jealous for his land and take pity on his people.
  2. The LORD will reply to them: "I am sending you grain, new wine and oil, enough to satisfy you fully; never again will I make you an object of scorn to the nations.
  3. "I will drive the northern army far from you, pushing it into a parched and barren land, with its front columns going into the eastern sea and those in the rear into the western sea. And its stench will go up; its smell will rise." Surely he has done great things.
  4. Be not afraid, O land; be glad and rejoice. Surely the LORD has done great things.
  5. Be not afraid, O wild animals, for the open pastures are becoming green. The trees are bearing their fruit; the fig tree and the vine yield their riches.
  1. 그 때에 주님께서 땅이 당한 일로 마음 아파하시고, 당신의 백성을 불쌍히 여기셨다.
  2. 주님께서 백성에게 대답하셨다. "내가 너희에게 곡식과 포도주와 올리브 기름을 주어서 아쉬움이 없도록 하겠다. 다시는 다른 나라가 너희를 조롱거리로 만들지 못하게 하겠다.
  3. 북쪽에서 온 메뚜기 군대를 멀리 쫓아 버리겠다. 메마르고 황량한 땅으로 몰아내겠다. 전위부대는 사해에 몰아넣고 후위부대는 지중해에 몰아넣겠다. 시체 썩는 냄새, 그 악취가 코를 찌를 것이다." 주님께서 큰 일을 하셨다!
  4. 땅아, 두려워하지 말아라. 기뻐하고 즐거워하여라. 주님께서 큰 일을 하셨다.
  5. 들짐승들아, 두려워하지 말아라. 이제 광야에 풀이 무성할 것이다. 나무마다 열매를 맺고, 무화과나무와 포도나무도 저마다 열매를 맺을 것이다.
  1. Be glad, O people of Zion, rejoice in the LORD your God, for he has given you the autumn rains in righteousness. He sends you abundant showers, both autumn and spring rains, as before.
  2. The threshing floors will be filled with grain; the vats will overflow with new wine and oil.
  3. "I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten-- the great locust and the young locust, the other locusts and the locust swarm -- my great army that I sent among you.
  4. You will have plenty to eat, until you are full, and you will praise the name of the LORD your God, who has worked wonders for you; never again will my people be shamed.
  5. Then you will know that I am in Israel, that I am the LORD your God, and that there is no other; never again will my people be shamed.
  1. 시온에 사는 사람들아, 주 너희의 하나님과 더불어 기뻐하고 즐거워하여라. 주님께서 너희를 변호하여 가을비를 내리셨다. 비를 흡족하게 내려주셨으니, 옛날처럼 가을비와 봄비를 내려 주셨다.
  2. 이제 타작 마당에는 곡식이 가득 쌓이고, 포도주와 올리브 기름을 짜는 틀마다 포도주와 기름이 넘칠 것이다.
  3. "메뚜기와 누리가 썰어 먹고 황충과 풀무치가 삼켜 버린 그 여러 해의 손해를, 내가 너희에게 보상해 주겠다. 그 엄청난 메뚜기 군대를 너희에게 보내어 공격하게 한 것은 바로 나다.
  4. 이제 너희가 마음껏 먹고, 배부를 것이다. 너희에게 놀라운 일을 한 주 너희의 하나님의 이름을 너희가 찬양할 것이다. 나의 백성이 다시는 수치를 당하지 않을 것이다.
  5. 이스라엘아, 이제 너희는 알게 될 것이다. 내가 너희 가운데 있다는 것과, 내가 주 너희의 하나님이라는 것과, 나 말고는 다른 신이 없다는 것을 깨닫게 될 것이다. 나의 백성이 다시는 수치를 당하지 않을 것이다."
  1. "And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions.
  2. Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days.
  3. I will show wonders in the heavens and on the earth, blood and fire and billows of smoke.
  4. The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD.
  5. And everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved; for on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there will be deliverance, as the LORD has said, among the survivors whom the LORD calls.
  1. "그런 다음에, 내가 모든 사람에게 나의 영을 부어 주겠다. 너희의 아들딸은 예언을 하고, 노인들은 꿈을 꾸고, 젊은이들은 환상을 볼 것이다.
  2. 그 때가 되면, 종들에게까지도 남녀를 가리지 않고 나의 영을 부어 주겠다.
  3. 그 날에 내가 하늘과 땅에 징조를 나타내겠다. 피와 불과 연기 구름이 나타나고,
  4. 해가 어두워지고 달이 핏빛 같이 붉어질 것이다. 끔찍스럽고 크나큰 주의 날이 오기 전에, 그런 일이 먼저 일어날 것이다."
  5. 그러나 주님의 이름을 불러 구원을 호소하는 사람은 다 구원을 받을 것이다. 시온 산 곧 예루살렘 안에는 피하여 살아 남는 사람이 있을 것이라고, 주님께서 부르신 사람이 살아 남아 있을 것이라고, 주님께서 말씀하셨다.
 
 
  1. "In those days and at that time, when I restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem,
  2. I will gather all nations and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat. There I will enter into judgment against them concerning my inheritance, my people Israel, for they scattered my people among the nations and divided up my land.
  3. They cast lots for my people and traded boys for prostitutes; they sold girls for wine that they might drink.
  4. "Now what have you against me, O Tyre and Sidon and all you regions of Philistia? Are you repaying me for something I have done? If you are paying me back, I will swiftly and speedily return on your own heads what you have done.
  5. For you took my silver and my gold and carried off my finest treasures to your temples.
  1. "때가 되어 그 날이 오면, 내가 유다와 예루살렘을 회복시켜서 번영하게 하겠다.
  2. 그 때에 내가 모든 민족을 불러모아, 그들을 여호사밧 골짜기로 데리고 내려가서, 그들이 나의 백성이요 나의 소유인 이스라엘에게 저지른 일을 두고서, 내가 거기에서 그들을 심판하겠다. 그들이 나의 백성을 여러 민족 속에 흩어 놓고, 또 나의 땅을 나누어 가지고,
  3. 제비를 뽑아 나의 백성을 나누어 가졌기 때문이다. 소년을 팔아서 창녀를 사고, 소녀를 팔아서 술을 사 마셨기 때문이다.
  4. 두로와 시돈과 블레셋의 모든 지역아, 너희가 나에게 무엇을 하려고 하느냐? 너희는, 내가 한 일을 보복할 셈이냐? 너희가 나에게 무슨 보복을 한다면, 너희가 한 그대로 내가 당장 너희에게 갚아 주겠다.
  5. 너희가 나의 은과 금을 약탈해 갔으며, 나의 가장 귀한 보물을 너희의 신전으로 가져 갔으며,
  1. You sold the people of Judah and Jerusalem to the Greeks, that you might send them far from their homeland.
  2. "See, I am going to rouse them out of the places to which you sold them, and I will return on your own heads what you have done.
  3. I will sell your sons and daughters to the people of Judah, and they will sell them to the Sabeans, a nation far away." The LORD has spoken.
  4. Proclaim this among the nations: Prepare for war! Rouse the warriors! Let all the fighting men draw near and attack.
  5. Beat your plowshares into swords and your pruning hooks into spears. Let the weakling say, "I am strong!"
  1. 유다 백성과 예루살렘 시민을 그리스 사람에게 팔아 넘기며, 나라 밖 먼 곳으로 보냈다.
  2. 너희가 그들을 멀리 팔아 넘겼지만, 내가 그들을 거기에서 돌아오게 하고, 너희에게는 너희가 그들에게 한 그대로 갚아 주겠다.
  3. 이제는 내가 유다 사람을 시켜서, 너희의 아들딸들을 팔겠다. 유다 사람은 너희 자녀를 먼 나라 스바 사람에게 팔 것이다. 나 주의 말이다."
  4. 너희는 모든 민족에게 이렇게 선포하여라. "전쟁을 준비하여라! 용사들을 무장시켜라. 군인들을 모두 소집하여 진군을 개시하여라!
  5. 보습을 쳐서 칼을 만들고, 낫을 쳐서 창을 만들어라. 병약한 사람도 용사라고 외치고 나서라.
  1. Come quickly, all you nations from every side, and assemble there. Bring down your warriors, O LORD!
  2. "Let the nations be roused; let them advance into the Valley of Jehoshaphat, for there I will sit to judge all the nations on every side.
  3. Swing the sickle, for the harvest is ripe. Come, trample the grapes, for the winepress is full and the vats overflow-- so great is their wickedness!"
  4. Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision! For the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision.
  5. The sun and moon will be darkened, and the stars no longer shine.
  1. 사방의 모든 민족아, 너희는 모두 서둘러 오너라. 이 평원으로 모여라." "주님, 주님의 군대를 보내셔서, 그들을 치십시오!"
  2. "민족들아, 출발하여라. 여호사밧 골짜기로 오너라. 내가 거기에 머물면서 사방의 민족들을 모두 심판하겠다.
  3. 거두어들일 곡식이 다 익었으니, 너희는 낫을 가지고 와서 곡식을 거두어라. 포도주 틀이 가득히 차고 포도주 독마다 술이 넘칠 때까지 포도를 밟듯이, 그들을 짓밟아라. 그들의 죄가 크기 때문이다."
  4. 판결의 골짜기에 수많은 무리가 모였다. 판결의 골짜기에서 주님께서 심판하실 날이 가까이 왔다.
  5. 해와 달이 어두워지고, 별들이 빛을 잃는다.
  1. The LORD will roar from Zion and thunder from Jerusalem; the earth and the sky will tremble. But the LORD will be a refuge for his people, a stronghold for the people of Israel.
  2. "Then you will know that I, the LORD your God, dwell in Zion, my holy hill. Jerusalem will be holy; never again will foreigners invade her.
  3. "In that day the mountains will drip new wine, and the hills will flow with milk; all the ravines of Judah will run with water. A fountain will flow out of the LORD's house and will water the valley of acacias.
  4. But Egypt will be desolate, Edom a desert waste, because of violence done to the people of Judah, in whose land they shed innocent blood.
  5. Judah will be inhabited forever and Jerusalem through all generations.
  1. 주님께서 시온에서 외치시고 예루살렘에서 큰소리를 내시니, 하늘과 땅이 진동한다. 그러나 주님께서는, 당신의 백성에게 피난처가 되실 것이다. 이스라엘 자손에게 요새가 되실 것이다.
  2. "이스라엘아, 그 때에 너희는, 내가 주 너희의 하나님임을 알아야 한다. 나는 거룩한 산 시온에서 산다. 예루살렘은 거룩한 곳이 되고, 다시는 이방 사람이 그 도성을 침범하지 못할 것이다.
  3. 그 날이 오면, 산마다 새 포도주가 넘쳐 흐를 것이다. 언덕마다 젖이 흐를 것이다. 유다 개울마다 물이 가득 차고 주의 성전에서 샘물이 흘러 나와, 싯딤 골짜기에 물을 대어 줄 것이다.
  4. 그러나 이집트는 황무지가 되고, 에돔은 황량한 사막으로 바뀐다. 그들이 유다 땅에 들어와서 백성을 폭행하고, 죄 없는 사람을 죽였기 때문이다.
  5. 유다 땅은 영원히 있겠고, 예루살렘도 대대로 그러할 것이다.
  1. Their bloodguilt, which I have not pardoned, I will pardon." The LORD dwells in Zion!
  1. 사람들이 학살을 당하여도 내가 그 원수를 갚아 주지 않았으나, 이제는 원수를 갚아 주겠다. 나 주는 시온에서 산다."
