  1. The LORD said to Moses and Aaron,
  2. "Speak to the Israelites and say to them: 'When any man has a bodily discharge, the discharge is unclean.
  3. Whether it continues flowing from his body or is blocked, it will make him unclean. This is how his discharge will bring about uncleanness:
  4. " 'Any bed the man with a discharge lies on will be unclean, and anything he sits on will be unclean.
  5. Anyone who touches his bed must wash his clothes and bathe with water, and he will be unclean till evening.
  1. And the LORD spake unto Moses and to Aaron, saying,
  2. Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When any man hath a running issue out of his flesh, because of his issue he is unclean.
  3. And this shall be his uncleanness in his issue: whether his flesh run with his issue, or his flesh be stopped from his issue, it is his uncleanness.
  4. Every bed, whereon he lieth that hath the issue, is unclean: and every thing, whereon he sitteth, shall be unclean.
  5. And whosoever toucheth his bed shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even.
  1. Whoever sits on anything that the man with a discharge sat on must wash his clothes and bathe with water, and he will be unclean till evening.
  2. " 'Whoever touches the man who has a discharge must wash his clothes and bathe with water, and he will be unclean till evening.
  3. " 'If the man with the discharge spits on someone who is clean, that person must wash his clothes and bathe with water, and he will be unclean till evening.
  4. " 'Everything the man sits on when riding will be unclean,
  5. and whoever touches any of the things that were under him will be unclean till evening; whoever picks up those things must wash his clothes and bathe with water, and he will be unclean till evening.
  1. And he that sitteth on any thing whereon he sat that hath the issue shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even.
  2. And he that toucheth the flesh of him that hath the issue shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even.
  3. And if he that hath the issue spit upon him that is clean; then he shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even.
  4. And what saddle soever he rideth upon that hath the issue shall be unclean.
  5. And whosoever toucheth any thing that was under him shall be unclean until the even: and he that beareth any of those things shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even.
  1. " 'Anyone the man with a discharge touches without rinsing his hands with water must wash his clothes and bathe with water, and he will be unclean till evening.
  2. " 'A clay pot that the man touches must be broken, and any wooden article is to be rinsed with water.
  3. " 'When a man is cleansed from his discharge, he is to count off seven days for his ceremonial cleansing; he must wash his clothes and bathe himself with fresh water, and he will be clean.
  4. On the eighth day he must take two doves or two young pigeons and come before the LORD to the entrance to the Tent of Meeting and give them to the priest.
  5. The priest is to sacrifice them, the one for a sin offering and the other for a burnt offering. In this way he will make atonement before the LORD for the man because of his discharge.
  1. And whomsoever he toucheth that hath the issue, and hath not rinsed his hands in water, he shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even.
  2. And the vessel of earth, that he toucheth which hath the issue, shall be broken: and every vessel of wood shall be rinsed in water.
  3. And when he that hath an issue is cleansed of his issue; then he shall number to himself seven days for his cleansing, and wash his clothes, and bathe his flesh in running water, and shall be clean.
  4. And on the eighth day he shall take to him two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, and come before the LORD unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and give them unto the priest:
  5. And the priest shall offer them, the one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering; and the priest shall make an atonement for him before the LORD for his issue.
  1. " 'When a man has an emission of semen, he must bathe his whole body with water, and he will be unclean till evening.
  2. Any clothing or leather that has semen on it must be washed with water, and it will be unclean till evening.
  3. When a man lies with a woman and there is an emission of semen, both must bathe with water, and they will be unclean till evening.
  4. " 'When a woman has her regular flow of blood, the impurity of her monthly period will last seven days, and anyone who touches her will be unclean till evening.
  5. " 'Anything she lies on during her period will be unclean, and anything she sits on will be unclean.
  1. And if any man's seed of copulation go out from him, then he shall wash all his flesh in water, and be unclean until the even.
  2. And every garment, and every skin, whereon is the seed of copulation, shall be washed with water, and be unclean until the even.
  3. The woman also with whom man shall lie with seed of copulation, they shall both bathe themselves in water, and be unclean until the even.
  4. And if a woman have an issue, and her issue in her flesh be blood, she shall be put apart seven days: and whosoever toucheth her shall be unclean until the even.
  5. And every thing that she lieth upon in her separation shall be unclean: every thing also that she sitteth upon shall be unclean.
  1. Whoever touches her bed must wash his clothes and bathe with water, and he will be unclean till evening.
  2. Whoever touches anything she sits on must wash his clothes and bathe with water, and he will be unclean till evening.
  3. Whether it is the bed or anything she was sitting on, when anyone touches it, he will be unclean till evening.
  4. " 'If a man lies with her and her monthly flow touches him, he will be unclean for seven days; any bed he lies on will be unclean.
  5. " 'When a woman has a discharge of blood for many days at a time other than her monthly period or has a discharge that continues beyond her period, she will be unclean as long as she has the discharge, just as in the days of her period.
  1. And whosoever toucheth her bed shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even.
  2. And whosoever toucheth any thing that she sat upon shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even.
  3. And if it be on her bed, or on any thing whereon she sitteth, when he toucheth it, he shall be unclean until the even.
  4. And if any man lie with her at all, and her flowers be upon him, he shall be unclean seven days; and all the bed whereon he lieth shall be unclean.
  5. And if a woman have an issue of her blood many days out of the time of her separation, or if it run beyond the time of her separation; all the days of the issue of her uncleanness shall be as the days of her separation: she shall be unclean.
  1. Any bed she lies on while her discharge continues will be unclean, as is her bed during her monthly period, and anything she sits on will be unclean, as during her period.
  2. Whoever touches them will be unclean; he must wash his clothes and bathe with water, and he will be unclean till evening.
  3. " 'When she is cleansed from her discharge, she must count off seven days, and after that she will be ceremonially clean.
  4. On the eighth day she must take two doves or two young pigeons and bring them to the priest at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting.
  5. The priest is to sacrifice one for a sin offering and the other for a burnt offering. In this way he will make atonement for her before the LORD for the uncleanness of her discharge.
  1. Every bed whereon she lieth all the days of her issue shall be unto her as the bed of her separation: and whatsoever she sitteth upon shall be unclean, as the uncleanness of her separation.
  2. And whosoever toucheth those things shall be unclean, and shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even.
  3. But if she be cleansed of her issue, then she shall number to herself seven days, and after that she shall be clean.
  4. And on the eighth day she shall take unto her two turtles, or two young pigeons, and bring them unto the priest, to the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
  5. And the priest shall offer the one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering; and the priest shall make an atonement for her before the LORD for the issue of her uncleanness.
  1. " 'You must keep the Israelites separate from things that make them unclean, so they will not die in their uncleanness for defiling my dwelling place, which is among them.' "
  2. These are the regulations for a man with a discharge, for anyone made unclean by an emission of semen,
  3. for a woman in her monthly period, for a man or a woman with a discharge, and for a man who lies with a woman who is ceremonially unclean.
  1. Thus shall ye separate the children of Israel from their uncleanness; that they die not in their uncleanness, when they defile my tabernacle that is among them.
  2. This is the law of him that hath an issue, and of him whose seed goeth from him, and is defiled therewith;
  3. And of her that is sick of her flowers, and of him that hath an issue, of the man, and of the woman, and of him that lieth with her that is unclean.

  ¼ÓÁËÀÏ ±Ô·Ê(16:1-16:34)

  1. The LORD spoke to Moses after the death of the two sons of Aaron who died when they approached the LORD.
  2. The LORD said to Moses: "Tell your brother Aaron not to come whenever he chooses into the Most Holy Place behind the curtain in front of the atonement cover on the ark, or else he will die, because I appear in the cloud over the atonement cover.
  3. "This is how Aaron is to enter the sanctuary area: with a young bull for a sin offering and a ram for a burnt offering.
  4. He is to put on the sacred linen tunic, with linen undergarments next to his body; he is to tie the linen sash around him and put on the linen turban. These are sacred garments; so he must bathe himself with water before he puts them on.
  5. From the Israelite community he is to take two male goats for a sin offering and a ram for a burnt offering.
  1. And the LORD spake unto Moses after the death of the two sons of Aaron, when they offered before the LORD, and died;
  2. And the LORD said unto Moses, Speak unto Aaron thy brother, that he come not at all times into the holy place within the vail before the mercy seat, which is upon the ark; that he die not: for I will appear in the cloud upon the mercy seat.
  3. Thus shall Aaron come into the holy place: with a young bullock for a sin offering, and a ram for a burnt offering.
  4. He shall put on the holy linen coat, and he shall have the linen breeches upon his flesh, and shall be girded with a linen girdle, and with the linen mitre shall he be attired: these are holy garments; therefore shall he wash his flesh in water, and so put them on.
  5. And he shall take of the congregation of the children of Israel two kids of the goats for a sin offering, and one ram for a burnt offering.
  1. "Aaron is to offer the bull for his own sin offering to make atonement for himself and his household.
  2. Then he is to take the two goats and present them before the LORD at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting.
  3. He is to cast lots for the two goats--one lot for the LORD and the other for the scapegoat.
  4. Aaron shall bring the goat whose lot falls to the LORD and sacrifice it for a sin offering.
  5. But the goat chosen by lot as the scapegoat shall be presented alive before the LORD to be used for making atonement by sending it into the desert as a scapegoat.
  1. And Aaron shall offer his bullock of the sin offering, which is for himself, and make an atonement for himself, and for his house.
  2. And he shall take the two goats, and present them before the LORD at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
  3. And Aaron shall cast lots upon the two goats; one lot for the LORD, and the other lot for the scapegoat.
  4. And Aaron shall bring the goat upon which the LORD's lot fell, and offer him for a sin offering.
  5. But the goat, on which the lot fell to be the scapegoat, shall be presented alive before the LORD, to make an atonement with him, and to let him go for a scapegoat into the wilderness.
  1. "Aaron shall bring the bull for his own sin offering to make atonement for himself and his household, and he is to slaughter the bull for his own sin offering.
  2. He is to take a censer full of burning coals from the altar before the LORD and two handfuls of finely ground fragrant incense and take them behind the curtain.
  3. He is to put the incense on the fire before the LORD, and the smoke of the incense will conceal the atonement cover above the Testimony, so that he will not die.
  4. He is to take some of the bull's blood and with his finger sprinkle it on the front of the atonement cover; then he shall sprinkle some of it with his finger seven times before the atonement cover.
  5. "He shall then slaughter the goat for the sin offering for the people and take its blood behind the curtain and do with it as he did with the bull's blood: He shall sprinkle it on the atonement cover and in front of it.
  1. And Aaron shall bring the bullock of the sin offering, which is for himself, and shall make an atonement for himself, and for his house, and shall kill the bullock of the sin offering which is for himself:
  2. And he shall take a censer full of burning coals of fire from off the altar before the LORD, and his hands full of sweet incense beaten small, and bring it within the vail:
  3. And he shall put the incense upon the fire before the LORD, that the cloud of the incense may cover the mercy seat that is upon the testimony, that he die not:
  4. And he shall take of the blood of the bullock, and sprinkle it with his finger upon the mercy seat eastward; and before the mercy seat shall he sprinkle of the blood with his finger seven times.
  5. Then shall he kill the goat of the sin offering, that is for the people, and bring his blood within the vail, and do with that blood as he did with the blood of the bullock, and sprinkle it upon the mercy seat, and before the mercy seat:
  1. In this way he will make atonement for the Most Holy Place because of the uncleanness and rebellion of the Israelites, whatever their sins have been. He is to do the same for the Tent of Meeting, which is among them in the midst of their uncleanness.
  2. No one is to be in the Tent of Meeting from the time Aaron goes in to make atonement in the Most Holy Place until he comes out, having made atonement for himself, his household and the whole community of Israel.
  3. "Then he shall come out to the altar that is before the LORD and make atonement for it. He shall take some of the bull's blood and some of the goat's blood and put it on all the horns of the altar.
  4. He shall sprinkle some of the blood on it with his finger seven times to cleanse it and to consecrate it from the uncleanness of the Israelites.
  5. "When Aaron has finished making atonement for the Most Holy Place, the Tent of Meeting and the altar, he shall bring forward the live goat.
  1. And he shall make an atonement for the holy place, because of the uncleanness of the children of Israel, and because of their transgressions in all their sins: and so shall he do for the tabernacle of the congregation, that remaineth among them in the midst of their uncleanness.
  2. And there shall be no man in the tabernacle of the congregation when he goeth in to make an atonement in the holy place, until he come out, and have made an atonement for himself, and for his household, and for all the congregation of Israel.
  3. And he shall go out unto the altar that is before the LORD, and make an atonement for it; and shall take of the blood of the bullock, and of the blood of the goat, and put it upon the horns of the altar round about.
  4. And he shall sprinkle of the blood upon it with his finger seven times, and cleanse it, and hallow it from the uncleanness of the children of Israel.
  5. And when he hath made an end of reconciling the holy place, and the tabernacle of the congregation, and the altar, he shall bring the live goat:
  1. He is to lay both hands on the head of the live goat and confess over it all the wickedness and rebellion of the Israelites--all their sins--and put them on the goat's head. He shall send the goat away into the desert in the care of a man appointed for the task.
  2. The goat will carry on itself all their sins to a solitary place; and the man shall release it in the desert.
  3. "Then Aaron is to go into the Tent of Meeting and take off the linen garments he put on before he entered the Most Holy Place, and he is to leave them there.
  4. He shall bathe himself with water in a holy place and put on his regular garments. Then he shall come out and sacrifice the burnt offering for himself and the burnt offering for the people, to make atonement for himself and for the people.
  5. He shall also burn the fat of the sin offering on the altar.
  1. And Aaron shall lay both his hands upon the head of the live goat, and confess over him all the iniquities of the children of Israel, and all their transgressions in all their sins, putting them upon the head of the goat, and shall send him away by the hand of a fit man into the wilderness:
  2. And the goat shall bear upon him all their iniquities unto a land not inhabited: and he shall let go the goat in the wilderness.
  3. And Aaron shall come into the tabernacle of the congregation, and shall put off the linen garments, which he put on when he went into the holy place, and shall leave them there:
  4. And he shall wash his flesh with water in the holy place, and put on his garments, and come forth, and offer his burnt offering, and the burnt offering of the people, and make an atonement for himself, and for the people.
  5. And the fat of the sin offering shall he burn upon the altar.
  1. "The man who releases the goat as a scapegoat must wash his clothes and bathe himself with water; afterward he may come into the camp.
  2. The bull and the goat for the sin offerings, whose blood was brought into the Most Holy Place to make atonement, must be taken outside the camp; their hides, flesh and offal are to be burned up.
  3. The man who burns them must wash his clothes and bathe himself with water; afterward he may come into the camp.
  4. "This is to be a lasting ordinance for you: On the tenth day of the seventh month you must deny yourselves and not do any work--whether native-born or an alien living among you-
  5. because on this day atonement will be made for you, to cleanse you. Then, before the LORD, you will be clean from all your sins.
  1. And he that let go the goat for the scapegoat shall wash his clothes, and bathe his flesh in water, and afterward come into the camp.
  2. And the bullock for the sin offering, and the goat for the sin offering, whose blood was brought in to make atonement in the holy place, shall one carry forth without the camp; and they shall burn in the fire their skins, and their flesh, and their dung.
  3. And he that burneth them shall wash his clothes, and bathe his flesh in water, and afterward he shall come into the camp.
  4. And this shall be a statute for ever unto you: that in the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, ye shall afflict your souls, and do no work at all, whether it be one of your own country, or a stranger that sojourneth among you:
  5. For on that day shall the priest make an atonement for you, to cleanse you, that ye may be clean from all your sins before the LORD.
  1. It is a sabbath of rest, and you must deny yourselves; it is a lasting ordinance.
  2. The priest who is anointed and ordained to succeed his father as high priest is to make atonement. He is to put on the sacred linen garments
  3. and make atonement for the Most Holy Place, for the Tent of Meeting and the altar, and for the priests and all the people of the community.
  4. "This is to be a lasting ordinance for you: Atonement is to be made once a year for all the sins of the Israelites." And it was done, as the LORD commanded Moses.
  1. It shall be a sabbath of rest unto you, and ye shall afflict your souls, by a statute for ever.
  2. And the priest, whom he shall anoint, and whom he shall consecrate to minister in the priest's office in his father's stead, shall make the atonement, and shall put on the linen clothes, even the holy garments:
  3. And he shall make an atonement for the holy sanctuary, and he shall make an atonement for the tabernacle of the congregation, and for the altar, and he shall make an atonement for the priests, and for all the people of the congregation.
  4. And this shall be an everlasting statute unto you, to make an atonement for the children of Israel for all their sins once a year. And he did as the LORD commanded Moses.
