  1. "When you see 'the abomination that causes desolation'standing where it does not belong--let the reader understand--then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.
  2. Let no one on the roof of his house go down or enter the house to take anything out.
  3. Let no one in the field go back to get his cloak.
  4. How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers!
  5. Pray that this will not take place in winter,
  1. But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains:
  2. And let him that is on the housetop not go down into the house, neither enter therein, to take any thing out of his house:
  3. And let him that is in the field not turn back again for to take up his garment.
  4. But woe to them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!
  5. And pray ye that your flight be not in the winter.
  1. because those will be days of distress unequaled from the beginning, when God created the world, until now--and never to be equaled again.
  2. If the Lord had not cut short those days, no one would survive. But for the sake of the elect, whom he has chosen, he has shortened them.
  3. At that time if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Christ!' or, 'Look, there he is!' do not believe it.
  4. For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform signs and miracles to deceive the elect--if that were possible.
  5. So be on your guard; I have told you everything ahead of time.
  1. For in those days shall be affliction, such as was not from the beginning of the creation which God created unto this time, neither shall be.
  2. And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect's sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days.
  3. And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ; or, lo, he is there; believe him not:
  4. For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.
  5. But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things.
  1. "But in those days, following that distress, " 'the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light;
  2. the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.'
  3. "At that time men will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory.
  4. And he will send his angels and gather his elect from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of the heavens.
  5. "Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near.
  1. But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light,
  2. And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken.
  3. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.
  4. And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.
  5. Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When her branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is near:
  1. Even so, when you see these things happening, you know that it is near, right at the door.
  2. I tell you the truth, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened.
  3. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.
  4. "No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.
  5. Be on guard! Be alert! You do not know when that time will come.
  1. So ye in like manner, when ye shall see these things come to pass, know that it is nigh, even at the doors.
  2. Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done.
  3. Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.
  4. But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.
  5. Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.
  1. It's like a man going away: He leaves his house and puts his servants in charge, each with his assigned task, and tells the one at the door to keep watch.
  2. "Therefore keep watch because you do not know when the owner of the house will come back--whether in the evening, or at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or at dawn.
  3. If he comes suddenly, do not let him find you sleeping.
  4. What I say to you, I say to everyone: 'Watch!' "
  1. For the Son of Man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch.
  2. Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:
  3. Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.
  4. And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.
