시편 105:17-105:23

 시인은 하나님께서 야곱 가족들의 정착지 마련을 위하여 애굽에 종으로 팔려간 요셉을 애굽의 주관자로 삼으셨다고 고백하고 있다.
  
 
  1. and he sent a man before them-- Joseph, sold as a slave.
  2. They bruised his feet with shackles, his neck was put in irons,
  3. till what he foretold came to pass, till the word of the LORD proved him true.
  4. The king sent and released him, the ruler of peoples set him free.
  5. He made him master of his household, ruler over all he possessed,
  1. He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold for a servant:
  2. Whose feet they hurt with fetters: he was laid in iron:
  3. Until the time that his word came: the word of the LORD tried him.
  4. The king sent and loosed him; even the ruler of the people, and let him go free.
  5. He made him lord of his house, and ruler of all his substance:
  1. to instruct his princes as he pleased and teach his elders wisdom.
  2. Then Israel entered Egypt; Jacob lived as an alien in the land of Ham.
  1. To bind his princes at his pleasure; and teach his senators wisdom.
  2. Israel also came into Egypt; and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.
