- To give prudence to the naive, To the youth knowledge and discretion,
- A wise man will hear and increase in learning, And a man of understanding will acquire wise counsel,

- for understanding proverbs and parables, the sayings and riddles of the wise.
- The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline.
- Listen, my son, to your father's instruction and do not forsake your mother's teaching.
- They will be a garland to grace your head and a chain to adorn your neck.
