마태복음 21:12-21:32

 예수께서 성전을 청결하시고 어린아이들의 찬미를 받으셨다. 다음날 아침, 예수께서 성에 들어오시는 길에 무화과나무에서 열매를 얻지 못하시자 나무를 저주하셨다. 예수님의 권위에 대해 묻는 대제사장과 장로들의 질문에, 예수님은 대답하는 대신 두 아들의 비유를 통해서 그들의 믿음 없음을 책망하셨다.
  
  성전 청결(21:12-21:22)    
 
  1. Jesus entered the temple area and drove out all who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves.
  2. "It is written," he said to them, " 'My house will be called a house of prayer,' but you are making it a 'den of robbers.'"
  3. The blind and the lame came to him at the temple, and he healed them.
  4. But when the chief priests and the teachers of the law saw the wonderful things he did and the children shouting in the temple area, "Hosanna to the Son of David," they were indignant.
  5. "Do you hear what these children are saying?" they asked him. "Yes," replied Jesus, "have you never read, " 'From the lips of children and infants you have ordained praise'?"
  1. それから， イエス は 宮にはいって， 宮の 中で 賣り 買いする 者たちをみな 追い 出し， 兩替人の 台や， 鳩を 賣る 者たちの 腰掛けを 倒された．
  2. そして 彼らに 言われた． 「『わたしの 家は 祈りの 家と 呼ばれる． 』と 書いてある． それなのに， あなたがたはそれを 强盜の 巢にしている． 」
  3. また， 宮の 中で， 盲人や 足なえがみもとに 來たので， イエス は 彼らをいやされた．
  4. ところが， 祭司長， 律法學者たちは， イエス のなさった 驚くべきいろいろのことを 見， また 宮の 中で 子どもたちが「ダビデ の 子に ホサナ ． 」と 言って 叫んでいるのを 見て 腹を 立てた．
  5. そして イエス に 言った． 「あなたは， 子どもたちが 何と 言っているか， お 聞きですか． 」 イエス は 言われた． 「聞いています． 『あなたは 幼子と 乳飮み 子たちの 口に 贊美を 用意された． 』とあるのを， あなたがたは 讀まなかったのですか． 」
  1. And he left them and went out of the city to Bethany, where he spent the night.
  2. Early in the morning, as he was on his way back to the city, he was hungry.
  3. Seeing a fig tree by the road, he went up to it but found nothing on it except leaves. Then he said to it, "May you never bear fruit again!" Immediately the tree withered.
  4. When the disciples saw this, they were amazed. "How did the fig tree wither so quickly?" they asked.
  5. Jesus replied, "I tell you the truth, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and it will be done.
  1. イエス は 彼らをあとに 殘し， 都を 出て ベタニヤ に 行き， そこに 泊まられた．
  2. 翌朝， イエス は 都に 歸る 途中， 空腹を 覺えられた．
  3. 道ばたにいちじくの 木が 見えたので， 近づいて 行かれたが， 葉のほかは 何もないのに 氣づかれた． それで， イエス はその 木に「おまえの 實は， もういつまでも， ならないように． 」と 言われた． すると， たちまちいちじくの 木は 枯れた．
  4. 弟子たちは， これを 見て， 驚いて 言った． 「どうして， こうすぐにいちじくの 木が 枯れたのでしょうか． 」
  5. イエス は 答えて 言われた． 「まことに， あなたがたに 告げます． もし， あなたがたが， 信仰を 持ち， 疑うことがなければ， いちじくの 木になされたようなことができるだけでなく， たとい， この 山に 向かって， 『動いて， 海にはいれ． 』と 言っても， そのとおりになります．
  1. If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer."
  1. あなたがたが 信じて 祈り 求めるものなら， 何でも 與えられます． 」
 
  두 아들의 비유(21:23-21:32)    
 
  1. Jesus entered the temple courts, and, while he was teaching, the chief priests and the elders of the people came to him. "By what authority are you doing these things?" they asked. "And who gave you this authority?"
  2. Jesus replied, "I will also ask you one question. If you answer me, I will tell you by what authority I am doing these things.
  3. John's baptism--where did it come from? Was it from heaven, or from men?" They discussed it among themselves and said, "If we say, 'From heaven,' he will ask, 'Then why didn't you believe him?'
  4. But if we say, 'From men'--we are afraid of the people, for they all hold that John was a prophet."
  5. So they answered Jesus, "We don't know." Then he said, "Neither will I tell you by what authority I am doing these things.
  1. それから， イエス が 宮にはいって， 敎えておられると， 祭司長， 民の 長老たちが， みもとに 來て 言った． 「何の 權威によって， これらのことをしておられるのですか． だれが， あなたにその 權威を 授けたのですか． 」
  2. イエス は 答えて， こう 言われた． 「わたしも 一言あなたがたに 尋ねましょう． もし， あなたがたが 答えるなら， わたしも 何の 權威によって， これらのことをしているかを 話しましょう．
  3. ヨハネ の バプテスマ は， どこから 來たものですか． 天からですか． それとも 人からですか． 」すると， 彼らはこう 言いながら， 互いに 論じ 合った． 「もし， 天から， と 言えば， それならなぜ， 彼を 信じなかったか， と 言うだろう．
  4. しかし， もし， 人から， と 言えば， 群衆がこわい． 彼らはみな， ヨハネ を 預言者と 認めているのだから． 」
  5. そこで， 彼らは イエス に 答えて， 「わかりません． 」と 言った． イエス もまた 彼らにこう 言われた． 「わたしも， 何の 權威によってこれらのことをするのか， あなたがたに 話すまい．
  1. "What do you think? There was a man who had two sons. He went to the first and said, 'Son, go and work today in the vineyard.'
  2. " 'I will not,' he answered, but later he changed his mind and went.
  3. "Then the father went to the other son and said the same thing. He answered, 'I will, sir,' but he did not go.
  4. "Which of the two did what his father wanted?" "The first," they answered. Jesus said to them, "I tell you the truth, the tax collectors and the prostitutes are entering the kingdom of God ahead of you.
  5. For John came to you to show you the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him, but the tax collectors and the prostitutes did. And even after you saw this, you did not repent and believe him.
  1. ところで， あなたがたは， どう 思いますか． ある 人にふたりの 息子がいた． その 人は 兄のところに 來て， 『きょう， ぶどう 園に 行って ¿いてくれ． 』と 言った．
  2. 兄は 答えて『行きます． おとうさん． 』と 言ったが， 行かなかった．
  3. それから， 弟のところに 來て， 同じように 言った． ところが， 弟は 答えて『行きたくありません． 』と 言ったが， あとから 惡かったと 思って 出かけて 行った．
  4. ふたりのうちどちらが， 父の 願ったとおりにしたのでしょう． 」彼らは 言った． 「あとの 者です． 」 イエス は 彼らに 言われた． 「まことに， あなたがたに 告げます． 取稅人や 遊女たちのほうが， あなたがたより 先に 神の 國にはいっているのです．
  5. というのは， あなたがたは， ヨハネ が 義の 道を 持って 來たのに， 彼を 信じなかった． しかし， 取稅人や 遊女たちは 彼を 信じたからです． しかもあなたがたは， それを 見ながら， あとになって 悔いることもせず， 彼を 信じなかったのです．
