예레미야 9:1-10:25

 유다 멸망에 대한 애곡의 분위기가 극도로 고조된 가운데 예레미야는 하나님의 공의를 들어 징계의 불가피성을 밝혔고, 유다를 멸망케 한 우상 숭배의 실상을 간파하였다. 그는 하나님께서는 창조주로서 능력의 근원이 되시며 인생의 화복을 주관하시는 분이심에 비해, 인간에 의해 만들어진 우상은 무능할 뿐임을 공포하였다.
  
  배반한 유다의 참상(9:1-9:26)    
 
  1. Oh, that my head were a spring of water and my eyes a fountain of tears! I would weep day and night for the slain of my people.
  2. Oh, that I had in the desert a lodging place for travelers, so that I might leave my people and go away from them; for they are all adulterers, a crowd of unfaithful people.
  3. "They make ready their tongue like a bow, to shoot lies; it is not by truth that they triumph in the land. They go from one sin to another; they do not acknowledge me," declares the LORD.
  4. "Beware of your friends; do not trust your brothers. For every brother is a deceiver, and every friend a slanderer.
  5. Friend deceives friend, and no one speaks the truth. They have taught their tongues to lie; they weary themselves with sinning.
  1. ああ， 私の 頭が 水であったなら， 私の 目が 淚の 泉であったなら， 私は ¿も 夜も， 私の 娘， 私の 民の 殺された 者のために 泣こうものを．
  2. ああ， 私が 荒野に 旅人の 宿を 持っていたなら， 私の 民を 見捨てて， 彼らから 離れることができようものを． 彼らはみな 姦通者， 裏切り 者の 集會だから．
  3. 彼らは 舌を 弓のように 曲げ， 眞實でなく， 僞りをもって， 地にはびこる． まことに 彼らは， 惡から 惡へ 進み， わたしを 知らない． ··主の 御告げ． ··
  4. おのおの 互いに 警戒せよ． どの 兄弟も 信用するな． どの 兄弟も 人を 押しのけ， どの 友も 中傷して 步き 回るからだ．
  5. 彼らはおのおの， だまし 合って， 眞實を 語らない． 僞りを 語ることを 舌に 敎え， 惡事を ¿き， 依然として 悔い 改めない．
  1. You live in the midst of deception; in their deceit they refuse to acknowledge me," declares the LORD.
  2. Therefore this is what the LORD Almighty says: "See, I will refine and test them, for what else can I do because of the sin of my people?
  3. Their tongue is a deadly arrow; it speaks with deceit. With his mouth each speaks cordially to his neighbor, but in his heart he sets a trap for him.
  4. Should I not punish them for this?" declares the LORD. "Should I not avenge myself on such a nation as this?"
  5. I will weep and wail for the mountains and take up a lament concerning the desert pastures. They are desolate and untraveled, and the lowing of cattle is not heard. The birds of the air have fled and the animals are gone.
  1. 彼らはしいたげに， しいたげを 重ね， 欺きに 欺きを 重ねて， わたしを 知ろうともしなかった． ··主の 御告げ． ··
  2. それゆえ， 万軍の 主はこう 仰せられる． 「見よ． わたしは 彼らを 溶かしてためす． いったい， わたしの 民の 娘に 對し， ほかに 何ができようか．
  3. 彼らの 舌はとがった 矢で， 欺きを 語る． 口先では 友人に 平和を 語るが， 腹の 中では 待ち 伏せを 計る．
  4. これらのために， わたしは 彼らを 罰しないだろうか． ··主の 御告げ． ··このような 國に 對して， わたしが 復讐しないだろうか． 」
  5. 私は 山¿のために 泣き 聲をあげて 嘆き， 荒野の 牧草地のために 哀歌を 唱える． そこは， 燒き 拂われて 通る 人もなく， 群れの 聲も 聞こえず， 空の 鳥から 家畜まで， みな 逃げ 去っているからだ．
  1. "I will make Jerusalem a heap of ruins, a haunt of jackals; and I will lay waste the towns of Judah so no one can live there."
  2. What man is wise enough to understand this? Who has been instructed by the LORD and can explain it? Why has the land been ruined and laid waste like a desert that no one can cross?
  3. The LORD said, "It is because they have forsaken my law, which I set before them; they have not obeyed me or followed my law.
  4. Instead, they have followed the stubbornness of their hearts; they have followed the Baals, as their fathers taught them."
  5. Therefore, this is what the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says: "See, I will make this people eat bitter food and drink poisoned water.
  1. わたしは エルサレム を 石くれの 山とし， ジャッカル の 住みかとする． ユダ の 町¿を 荒れ 果てさせ， 住む 者もなくする．
  2. 知惠があって， これを 悟ることのできる 者はだれか． 主の 御口が 語られたことを 告げ 知らせることのできる 者はだれか． どうしてこの 國は 滅びたのか． どうして 荒野のように 燒き 拂われて， 通る 人もないのか．
  3. 主は 仰せられる． 「彼らは， わたしが 彼らの 前に 與えたわたしの 律法を 捨て， わたしの 聲に 聞き 從わず， それに 步まず，
  4. 彼らのかたくなな 心のままに 步み， 先祖たちが 彼らに 敎えた バアル に 從って 步んだ． 」
  5. それゆえ， イスラエル の 神， 万軍の 主は， こう 仰せられる． 「見よ． わたしは， この 民に， 苦よもぎを 食べさせ， 毒の 水を 飮ませる．
  1. I will scatter them among nations that neither they nor their fathers have known, and I will pursue them with the sword until I have destroyed them."
  2. This is what the LORD Almighty says: "Consider now! Call for the wailing women to come; send for the most skillful of them.
  3. Let them come quickly and wail over us till our eyes overflow with tears and water streams from our eyelids.
  4. The sound of wailing is heard from Zion: 'How ruined we are! How great is our shame! We must leave our land because our houses are in ruins.' "
  5. Now, O women, hear the word of the LORD; open your ears to the words of his mouth. Teach your daughters how to wail; teach one another a lament.
  1. 彼らも 先祖たちも 知らなかった 國¿に 彼らを 散らし， 劍を 彼らのうしろに 送り， ついに 彼らを 絶滅させる． 」
  2. 万軍の 主はこう 仰せられる． 「よく 考えて， 泣き 女を 呼んで 來させ， 使いをやって 巧みな 女たちを 連れて 來させよ． 」
  3. 彼らをせきたて， 私たちのために 嘆きの 聲をあげさせ， 私たちの 目に 淚をしたたらせ， 私たちのまぶたに 水をあふれさせよ．
  4. シオン から 嘆きの 聲が 聞こえるからだ． ああ， 私たちは 踏みにじられ， いたく 恥を 見た． 私たちが 國を 見捨て， 彼らが 私たちの 住まいを 投げやったからだ．
  5. 女たちよ． 主のことばを 聞き， あなたがたの 耳は， 主の 言われることばを 受けとめよ． あなたがたの 娘に 嘆きの 歌を 敎え， 隣の 女にも 哀歌を 敎えよ．
  1. Death has climbed in through our windows and has entered our fortresses; it has cut off the children from the streets and the young men from the public squares.
  2. Say, "This is what the LORD declares: " 'The dead bodies of men will lie like refuse on the open field, like cut grain behind the reaper, with no one to gather them.' "
  3. This is what the LORD says: "Let not the wise man boast of his wisdom or the strong man boast of his strength or the rich man boast of his riches,
  4. but let him who boasts boast about this: that he understands and knows me, that I am the LORD, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight," declares the LORD.
  5. "The days are coming," declares the LORD, "when I will punish all who are circumcised only in the flesh-
  1. 死が， 私たちの 窓によじのぼり， 私たちの 高殿にはいって 來， 道ばたで 子どもを， 廣場で 若い 男を 斷ち 滅ぼすからだ．
  2. 語れ． ··主の 御告げはこうだ． ··人間のしかばねは， 畑の 肥やしのように， 刈り 入れ 人のあとの， 集める 者もない 束のように， 橫たわる．
  3. 主はこう 仰せられる． 「知惠ある 者は 自分の 知惠を 誇るな． つわものは 自分の 强さを 誇るな． 富む 者は 自分の 富を 誇るな．
  4. 誇る 者は， ただ， これを 誇れ． 悟りを 得て， わたしを 知っていることを． わたしは 主であって， 地に 惠みと 公義と 正義を 行なう 者であり， わたしがこれらのことを 喜ぶからだ． ··主の 御告げ． ··
  5. 見よ． その 日が 來る． ··主の 御告げ． ··その 日， わたしは， すべて 包皮に 割禮を 受けている 者を 罰する．
  1. Egypt, Judah, Edom, Ammon, Moab and all who live in the desert in distant places. For all these nations are really uncircumcised, and even the whole house of Israel is uncircumcised in heart."
  1. エジプト ， ユダ ， エドム ， アモン 人， モアブ ， および 荒野の 住人でこめかみを 刈り 上げているすべての 者を 罰する． すべての 國¿は 無割禮であり， イスラエル の 全家も 心に 割禮を 受けていないからだ． 」

  1. Hear what the LORD says to you, O house of Israel.
  2. This is what the LORD says: "Do not learn the ways of the nations or be terrified by signs in the sky, though the nations are terrified by them.
  3. For the customs of the peoples are worthless; they cut a tree out of the forest, and a craftsman shapes it with his chisel.
  4. They adorn it with silver and gold; they fasten it with hammer and nails so it will not totter.
  5. Like a scarecrow in a melon patch, their idols cannot speak; they must be carried because they cannot walk. Do not fear them; they can do no harm nor can they do any good."
  1. イスラエル の 家よ． 主があなたがたに 語られたことばを 聞け．
  2. 主はこう 仰せられる． 「異邦人の 道を 見習うな． 天のしるしにおののくな． 異邦人がそれらにおののいていても．
  3. 國¿の 民のならわしはむなしいからだ． それは， 林から 切り 出された 木， 木工が， なたで 造った 物にすぎない．
  4. それは 銀と 金で 飾られ， 釘や， 槌で， 動かないように 打ちつけられる．
  5. それは， きゅうり 畑のかかしのようで， ものも 言えず， 步けないので， いちいち 運んでやらなければならない． そんな 物を 恐れるな． わざわいも 幸いも 下せないからだ． 」
  1. No one is like you, O LORD; you are great, and your name is mighty in power.
  2. Who should not revere you, O King of the nations? This is your due. Among all the wise men of the nations and in all their kingdoms, there is no one like you.
  3. They are all senseless and foolish; they are taught by worthless wooden idols.
  4. Hammered silver is brought from Tarshish and gold from Uphaz. What the craftsman and goldsmith have made is then dressed in blue and purple-- all made by skilled workers.
  5. But the LORD is the true God; he is the living God, the eternal King. When he is angry, the earth trembles; the nations cannot endure his wrath.
  1. 主よ． あなたに ¿ぶ 者はありません． あなたは 大いなる 方． あなたの 御名は， 力ある 大いなるものです．
  2. 諸國の 民の 王よ． だれかあなたを 恐れない 者がありましょうか． それは， あなたに 對して 當然なことです． 諸國の 民のすべての 知惠ある 者たちの 中にも， そのすべての 王國の 中にも， あなたと ¿ぶような 者はいないからです．
  3. 彼らはみなまぬけ 者で 愚かなことをする． むなしい 神¿の 戒め ··それは 木にすぎない．
  4. 銀箔は タルシシュ から， 金は ウファズ から 運ばれる． 偶像は 木工と 金細工人の 手の 作． その 衣は 靑色と 紫色， これらはみな， 名匠の 作．
  5. しかし， 主はまことの 神， 生ける 神， とこしえの 王． その 怒りに 地は 震え， その 憤りに 國¿は 耐えられない．
  1. "Tell them this: 'These gods, who did not make the heavens and the earth, will perish from the earth and from under the heavens.' "
  2. But God made the earth by his power; he founded the world by his wisdom and stretched out the heavens by his understanding.
  3. When he thunders, the waters in the heavens roar; he makes clouds rise from the ends of the earth. He sends lightning with the rain and brings out the wind from his storehouses.
  4. Everyone is senseless and without knowledge; every goldsmith is shamed by his idols. His images are a fraud; they have no breath in them.
  5. They are worthless, the objects of mockery; when their judgment comes, they will perish.
  1. あなたがたは， 彼らにこう 言え． 「天と 地を 造らなかった 神¿は， 地からも， これらの 天の 下からも 滅びる． 」と．
  2. 主は， 御力をもって 地を 造り， 知惠をもって 世界を 堅く 建て， 英知をもって 天を 張られた．
  3. 主が 聲を 出すと， 水のざわめきが 天に 起こる． 主は 地の 果てから 雲を 上らせ， 雨のためにいなずまを 造り， その 倉から 風を 出される．
  4. すべての 人間は 愚かで 無知だ． すべての 金細工人は， 偶像のために 恥を 見る． その 鑄た 像は 僞りで， その 中に 息がないからだ．
  5. それは， むなしいもの， 物笑いの 種だ． 刑罰の 時に， それらは 滅びる．
  1. He who is the Portion of Jacob is not like these, for he is the Maker of all things, including Israel, the tribe of his inheritance-- the LORD Almighty is his name.
  2. Gather up your belongings to leave the land, you who live under siege.
  3. For this is what the LORD says: "At this time I will hurl out those who live in this land; I will bring distress on them so that they may be captured."
  4. Woe to me because of my injury! My wound is incurable! Yet I said to myself, "This is my sickness, and I must endure it."
  5. My tent is destroyed; all its ropes are snapped. My sons are gone from me and are no more; no one is left now to pitch my tent or to set up my shelter.
  1. ヤコブ の 分け 前はこんなものではない． 主は 万物を 造る 方． イスラエル は 主ご 自身の 部族． その 御名は 万軍の 主である．
  2. 包圍されている 女よ． あなたの 荷物を 地から 取り 集めよ．
  3. まことに 主はこう 仰せられる． 「見よ． わたしはこの 國の 住民を， 今度こそ 放り 出し， 彼らを 惱ます． 彼らに 思い 知らせてやるためだ． 」
  4. ああ， 私は 悲しい． この 傷のために． この 打ち 傷はいやしがたい． そこで， 私は 言った． 「まことに， これこそ 私が， 負わなければならない 病だ． 」
  5. 私の 天幕は 荒らされ， すべての 綱は 斷ち 切られ， 私の 子らも 私から 去って， もういない． 再び 私の 天幕を 張る 者はなく， 私の 幕屋を 建てる 者もいない．
  1. The shepherds are senseless and do not inquire of the LORD; so they do not prosper and all their flock is scattered.
  2. Listen! The report is coming-- a great commotion from the land of the north! It will make the towns of Judah desolate, a haunt of jackals.
  3. I know, O LORD, that a man's life is not his own; it is not for man to direct his steps.
  4. Correct me, LORD, but only with justice-- not in your anger, lest you reduce me to nothing.
  5. Pour out your wrath on the nations that do not acknowledge you, on the peoples who do not call on your name. For they have devoured Jacob; they have devoured him completely and destroyed his homeland.
  1. 牧者たちは 愚かで， 主を 求めなかった． それで 彼らは 榮えず， 彼らの 飼うものはみな 散らされる．
  2. 聞け， うわさを． 見よ． 大いなる ¿ぎが 北の 地からやって 來る． ユダ の 町¿を 荒れ 果てた 地とし， ジャッカル の 住みかとするために．
