- The law is only a shadow of the good things that are coming--not the realities themselves. For this reason it can never, by the same sacrifices repeated endlessly year after year, make perfect those who draw near to worship.
- If it could, would they not have stopped being offered? For the worshipers would have been cleansed once for all, and would no longer have felt guilty for their sins.
- But those sacrifices are an annual reminder of sins,
- because it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins.
- Therefore, when Christ came into the world, he said: "Sacrifice and offering you did not desire, but a body you prepared for me;

- 律法には， 後に 來るすばらしいものの 影はあっても， その 實物はないのですから， 律法は， 年ごとに 絶えずささげられる 同じいけにえによって 神に 近づいて 來る 人¿を， 完全にすることができないのです．
- もしそれができたのであったら， 禮拜する 人¿は， 一度きよめられた 者として， もはや 罪を 意識しなかったはずであり， したがって， ささげ 物をすることは， やんだはずです．
- ところがかえって， これらのささげ 物によって， 罪が 年ごとに 思い 出されるのです．
- 雄牛とやぎの 血は， 罪を 除くことができません．
- ですから， キリスト は， この 世界に 來て， こう 言われるのです． 「あなたは， いけにえやささげ 物を 望まないで， わたしのために， からだを 造ってくださいました．

- with burnt offerings and sin offerings you were not pleased.
- Then I said, 'Here I am--it is written about me in the scroll-- I have come to do your will, O God.' "
- First he said, "Sacrifices and offerings, burnt offerings and sin offerings you did not desire, nor were you pleased with them" (although the law required them to be made).
- Then he said, "Here I am, I have come to do your will." He sets aside the first to establish the second.
- And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

- あなたは 全燒のいけにえと 罪のためのいけにえとで 滿足されませんでした．
- そこでわたしは 言いました． 『さあ， わたしは 來ました． 聖書のある 卷に， わたしについてしるされているとおり， 神よ， あなたのみこころを 行なうために． 』」
- すなわち， 初めには， 「あなたは， いけにえとささげ 物， 全燒のいけにえと 罪のためのいけにえ（すなわち， 律法に 從ってささげられる， いろいろの 物 ）を 望まず， またそれらで 滿足されませんでした． 」と 言い，
- また， 「さあ， わたしはあなたのみこころを 行なうために 來ました． 」と 言われたのです． 後者が 立てられるために， 前者が 廢止されるのです．
- このみこころに 從って， イエス · キリスト のからだが， ただ 一度だけささげられたことにより， 私たちは 聖なるものとされているのです．

- Day after day every priest stands and performs his religious duties; again and again he offers the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins.
- But when this priest had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God.
- Since that time he waits for his enemies to be made his footstool,
- because by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy.
- The Holy Spirit also testifies to us about this. First he says:

- また， すべて 祭司は 每日立って 禮拜の 務めをなし， 同じいけにえをくり 返しささげますが， それらは 決して 罪を 除き 去ることができません．
- しかし， キリスト は， 罪のために 一つの 永遠のいけにえをささげて 後， 神の 右の 座に 着き，
- それからは， その 敵がご 自分の 足台となるのを 待っておられるのです．
- キリスト は 聖なるものとされる 人¿を， 一つのささげ 物によって， 永遠に 全うされたのです．
- 聖靈も 私たちに 次のように 言って， あかしされます．

- "This is the covenant I will make with them after that time, says the Lord. I will put my laws in their hearts, and I will write them on their minds."
- Then he adds: "Their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more."
- And where these have been forgiven, there is no longer any sacrifice for sin.

- 「それらの 日の 後， わたしが， 彼らと 結ぼうとしている 契約は， これであると， 主は 言われる． わたしは， わたしの 律法を 彼らの 心に 置き， 彼らの 思いに 書きつける． 」またこう 言われます．
- 「わたしは， もはや 決して 彼らの 罪と 不法とを 思い 出すことはしない． 」
- これらのことが 赦されるところでは， 罪のためのささげ 物はもはや 無用です．
