야고보서 1:19-2:13

 야고보는 말을 삼가할 것과 하나님의 말씀을 듣는 자가 실천해야 할 것을 권면하면서, 행동의 구체적인 내용으로 과부와 고아를 구제하고 모든 사람을 차별 없이 대할 것을 가르쳤다.
  
  말씀을 행하는 자(1:19-1:27)    
 
  1. My dear brothers, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry,
  2. for man's anger does not bring about the righteous life that God desires.
  3. Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you.
  4. Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.
  5. Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like a man who looks at his face in a mirror
  1. 愛する 兄弟たち． あなたがたはそのことを 知っているのです． しかし， だれでも， 聞くには 早く， 語るにはおそく， 怒るにはおそいようにしなさい．
  2. 人の 怒りは， 神の 義を 實現するものではありません．
  3. ですから， すべての 汚れやあふれる 惡を 捨て 去り， 心に 植えつけられたみことばを， すなおに 受け 入れなさい． みことばは， あなたがたのたましいを 救うことができます．
  4. また， みことばを 實行する 人になりなさい． 自分を 欺いて， ただ 聞くだけの 者であってはいけません．
  5. みことばを 聞いても 行なわない 人がいるなら， その 人は 自分の 生まれつきの 顔を 鏡で 見る 人のようです．
  1. and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like.
  2. But the man who looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues to do this, not forgetting what he has heard, but doing it--he will be blessed in what he does.
  3. If anyone considers himself religious and yet does not keep a tight rein on his tongue, he deceives himself and his religion is worthless.
  4. Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.
  1. 自分をながめてから 立ち 去ると， すぐにそれがどのようであったかを 忘れてしまいます．
  2. ところが， 完全な 律法， すなわち 自由の 律法を 一心に 見つめて 離れない 人は， すぐに 忘れる 聞き 手にはならないで， 事を 實行する 人になります． こういう 人は， その 行ないによって 祝福されます．
  3. 自分は 宗敎に 熱心であると 思っても， 自分の 舌にくつわをかけず， 自分の 心を 欺いているなら， そのような 人の 宗敎はむなしいものです．
  4. 父なる 神の 御前できよく 汚れのない 宗敎は， 孤兒や， やもめたちが 困っているときに 世話をし， この 世から 自分をきよく 守ることです．
 
  형제에 대한 바른 태도(2:1-2:13)    
 
  1. My brothers, as believers in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ, don't show favoritism.
  2. Suppose a man comes into your meeting wearing a gold ring and fine clothes, and a poor man in shabby clothes also comes in.
  3. If you show special attention to the man wearing fine clothes and say, "Here's a good seat for you," but say to the poor man, "You stand there" or "Sit on the floor by my feet,"
  4. have you not discriminated among yourselves and become judges with evil thoughts?
  5. Listen, my dear brothers: Has not God chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom he promised those who love him?
  1. 私の 兄弟たち． あなたがたは 私たちの 榮光の 主 イエス · キリスト を 信じる 信仰を 持っているのですから， 人をえこひいきしてはいけません．
  2. あなたがたの 會堂に， 金の 指輪をはめ， 立派な 服裝をした 人がはいって 來， またみすぼらしい 服裝をした 貧しい 人もはいって 來たとします．
  3. あなたがたが， りっぱな 服裝をした 人に 目を 留めて， 「あなたは， こちらの 良い 席におすわりなさい． 」と 言い， 貧しい 人には， 「あなたは， そこで 立っていなさい． でなければ， 私の 足もとにすわりなさい． 」と 言うとすれば，
  4. あなたがたは， 自分たちの 間で 差別を 設け， 惡い 考え 方で 人をさばく 者になったのではありませんか．
  5. よく 聞きなさい． 愛する 兄弟たち． 神は， この 世の 貧しい 人たちを 選んで 信仰に 富む 者とし， 神を 愛する 者に 約束されている 御國を 相續する 者とされたではありませんか．
  1. But you have insulted the poor. Is it not the rich who are exploiting you? Are they not the ones who are dragging you into court?
  2. Are they not the ones who are slandering the noble name of him to whom you belong?
  3. If you really keep the royal law found in Scripture, "Love your neighbor as yourself," you are doing right.
  4. But if you show favoritism, you sin and are convicted by the law as lawbreakers.
  5. For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it.
  1. それなのに， あなたがたは 貧しい 人を 輕蔑したのです． あなたがたをしいたげるのは 富んだ 人たちではありませんか． また， あなたがたを 裁判所に 引いて 行くのも 彼らではありませんか．
  2. あなたがたがその 名で 呼ばれている 尊い 御名をけがすのも 彼らではありませんか．
  3. もし， ほんとうにあなたがたが， 聖書に 從って， 「あなたの 隣人をあなた 自身のように 愛せよ． 」という 最高の 律法を 守るなら， あなたがたの 行ないはりっぱです．
  4. しかし， もし 人をえこひいきするなら， あなたがたは 罪を 犯しており， 律法によって 違反者として 責められます．
  5. 律法全體を 守っても， 一つの 点でつまずくなら， その 人はすべてを 犯した 者となったのです．
  1. For he who said, "Do not commit adultery," also said, "Do not murder." If you do not commit adultery but do commit murder, you have become a lawbreaker.
  2. Speak and act as those who are going to be judged by the law that gives freedom,
  3. because judgment without mercy will be shown to anyone who has not been merciful. Mercy triumphs over judgment!
  1. なぜなら， 「姦淫してはならない． 」と 言われた 方は， 「殺してはならない． 」とも 言われたからです． そこで， 姦淫しなくても 人殺しをすれば， あなたは 律法の 違反者となったのです．
  2. 自由の 律法によってさばかれる 者らしく 語り， またそのように 行ないなさい．
  3. あわれみを 示したことのない 者に 對するさばきは， あわれみのないさばきです． あわれみは， さばきに 向かって 勝ち 誇るのです．
