- After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth to prevent any wind from blowing on the land or on the sea or on any tree.
- Then I saw another angel coming up from the east, having the seal of the living God. He called out in a loud voice to the four angels who had been given power to harm the land and the sea:
- "Do not harm the land or the sea or the trees until we put a seal on the foreheads of the servants of our God."
- Then I heard the number of those who were sealed: 144,000 from all the tribes of Israel.
- From the tribe of Judah 12,000 were sealed, from the tribe of Reuben 12,000, from the tribe of Gad 12,000,

- この 後， 私は 見た． 四人の 御使いが 地の 四隅に 立って， 地の 四方の 風を 堅く 押え， 地にも 海にもどんな 木にも， 吹きつけないようにしていた．
- また 私は 見た． もうひとりの 御使いが， 生ける 神の 印を 持って， 日の 出るほうから 上って 來た． 彼は， 地をも 海をもそこなう 權威を 與えられた 四人の 御使いたちに， 大聲で 叫んで 言った．
- 「私たちが 神のしもべたちの 額に 印を 押してしまうまで， 地にも 海にも 木にも 害を 與えてはいけない． 」
- それから 私が， 印を 押された 人¿の 數を 聞くと， イスラエル の 子孫のあらゆる 部族の 者が 印を 押されていて， 十四万四千人であった．
- ユダ の 部族で 印を 押された 者が 一万二千人， ルベン の 部族で 一万二千人， ガド の 部族で 一万二千人，

- from the tribe of Asher 12,000, from the tribe of Naphtali 12,000, from the tribe of Manasseh 12,000,
- from the tribe of Simeon 12,000, from the tribe of Levi 12,000, from the tribe of Issachar 12,000,
- from the tribe of Zebulun 12,000, from the tribe of Joseph 12,000, from the tribe of Benjamin 12,000.
- After this I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands.
- And they cried out in a loud voice: "Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb."

- アセル の 部族で 一万二千人， ナフタリ の 部族で 一万二千人， マナセ の 部族で 一万二千人，
- シメオン の 部族で 一万二千人， レビ の 部族で 一万二千人， イッサカル の 部族で 一万二千人，
- ゼブルン の 部族で 一万二千人， ヨセフ の 部族で 一万二千人， ベニヤミン の 部族で 一万二千人， 印を 押された 者がいた．
- その 後， 私は 見た． 見よ． あらゆる 國民， 部族， 民族， 國語のうちから， だれにも 數えきれぬほどの 大ぜいの 群衆が， 白い 衣を 着， しゅろの 枝を 手に 持って， 御座と 小羊との 前に 立っていた．
- 彼らは， 大聲で 叫んで 言った． 「救いは， 御座にある 私たちの 神にあり， 小羊にある． 」

- All the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures. They fell down on their faces before the throne and worshiped God,
- saying: "Amen! Praise and glory and wisdom and thanks and honor and power and strength be to our God for ever and ever. Amen!"
- Then one of the elders asked me, "These in white robes--who are they, and where did they come from?"
- I answered, "Sir, you know." And he said, "These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
- Therefore, "they are before the throne of God and serve him day and night in his temple; and he who sits on the throne will spread his tent over them.

- 御使いたちはみな， 御座と 長老たちと 四つの 生き 物との 回りに 立っていたが， 彼らも 御座の 前にひれ 伏し， 神を 拜して，
- 言った． 「ア ― メン ． 贊美と 榮光と 知惠と 感謝と 譽れと 力と 勢いが， 永遠に 私たちの 神にあるように． ア ― メン ． 」
- 長老のひとりが 私に 話しかけて， 「白い 衣を 着ているこの 人たちは， いったいだれですか． どこから 來たのですか． 」と 言った．
- そこで， 私は， 「主よ． あなたこそ， ご 存じです． 」と 言った． すると， 彼は 私にこう 言った． 「彼らは， 大きな 患難から 拔け 出て 來た 者たちで， その 衣を 小羊の 血で 洗って， 白くしたのです．
- だから 彼らは 神の 御座の 前にいて， 聖所で ¿も 夜も， 神に 仕えているのです． そして， 御座に 着いておられる 方も， 彼らの 上に 幕屋を 張られるのです．

- Never again will they hunger; never again will they thirst. The sun will not beat upon them, nor any scorching heat.
- For the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd; he will lead them to springs of living water. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes."

- 彼らはもはや， 飢えることもなく， 渴くこともなく， 太陽もどんな 炎熱も 彼らを 打つことはありません．
- なぜなら， 御座の 正面におられる 小羊が， 彼らの 牧者となり， いのちの 水の 泉に 導いてくださるからです． また， 神は 彼らの 目の 淚をすっかりぬぐい 取ってくださるのです． 」
