- Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea.
- I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband.
- And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God.
- He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."
- He who was seated on the throne said, "I am making everything new!" Then he said, "Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true."

- また 私は， 新しい 天と 新しい 地とを 見た． 以前の 天と， 以前の 地は 過ぎ 去り， もはや 海もない．
- 私はまた， 聖なる 都， 新しい エルサレム が， 夫のために 飾られた 花嫁のように 整えられて， 神のみもとを 出て， 天から 下って 來るのを 見た．
- そのとき 私は， 御座から 出る 大きな 聲がこう 言うのを 聞いた． 「見よ． 神の 幕屋が 人とともにある． 神は 彼らとともに 住み， 彼らはその 民となる． また， 神ご 自身が 彼らとともにおられて，
- 彼らの 目の 淚をすっかりぬぐい 取ってくださる． もはや 死もなく， 悲しみ， 叫び， 苦しみもない． なぜなら， 以前のものが， もはや 過ぎ 去ったからである． 」
- すると， 御座に 着いておられる 方が 言われた． 「見よ． わたしは， すべてを 新しくする． 」また 言われた． 「書きしるせ． これらのことばは， 信ずべきものであり， 眞實である． 」

- He said to me: "It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To him who is thirsty I will give to drink without cost from the spring of the water of life.
- He who overcomes will inherit all this, and I will be his God and he will be my son.
- But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars--their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death."
- One of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues came and said to me, "Come, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb."
- And he carried me away in the Spirit to a mountain great and high, and showed me the Holy City, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God.

- また 言われた． 「事は 成就した． わたしは アルファ であり， オメガ である． 最初であり， 最後である． わたしは， 渴く 者には， いのちの 水の 泉から， 價なしに 飮ませる．
- 勝利を 得る 者は， これらのものを 相續する． わたしは 彼の 神となり， 彼はわたしの 子となる．
- しかし， おくびょう 者， 不信仰の 者， 憎むべき 者， 人を 殺す 者， 不品行の 者， 魔術を 行なう 者， 偶像を 拜む 者， すべて 僞りを 言う 者どもの 受ける 分は， 火と 硫黃との 燃える 池の 中にある． これが 第二の 死である． 」
- また， 最後の 七つの 災害の 滿ちているあの 七つの 鉢を 持っていた 七人の 御使いのひとりが 來た． 彼は 私に 話して， こう 言った． 「ここに 來なさい． 私はあなたに， 小羊の 妻である 花嫁を 見せましょう． 」
- そして， 御使いは 御靈によって 私を 大きな 高い 山に 連れて 行って， 聖なる 都 エルサレム が 神のみもとを 出て， 天から 下って 來るのを 見せた．

- It shone with the glory of God, and its brilliance was like that of a very precious jewel, like a jasper, clear as crystal.
- It had a great, high wall with twelve gates, and with twelve angels at the gates. On the gates were written the names of the twelve tribes of Israel.
- There were three gates on the east, three on the north, three on the south and three on the west.
- The wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
- The angel who talked with me had a measuring rod of gold to measure the city, its gates and its walls.

- 都には 神の 榮光があった． その 輝きは 高價な 寶石に 似ており， 透き 通った 碧玉のようであった．
- 都には 大きな 高い 城壁と 十二の 門があって， それらの 門には 十二人の 御使いがおり， イスラエル の 子らの 十二部族の 名が 書いてあった．
- 東に 三つの 門， 北に 三つの 門， 南に 三つの 門， 西に 三つの 門があった．
- また， 都の 城壁には 十二の 土台石があり， それには， 小羊の 十二使徒の 十二の 名が 書いてあった．
- また， 私と 話していた 者は 都とその 門とその 城壁とを 測る 金の 測りざおを 持っていた．

- The city was laid out like a square, as long as it was wide. He measured the city with the rod and found it to be 12,000 stadiain length, and as wide and high as it is long.
- He measured its wall and it was 144 cubits thick, by man's measurement, which the angel was using.
- The wall was made of jasper, and the city of pure gold, as pure as glass.
- The foundations of the city walls were decorated with every kind of precious stone. The first foundation was jasper, the second sapphire, the third chalcedony, the fourth emerald,
- the fifth sardonyx, the sixth carnelian, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, and the twelfth amethyst.

- 都は 四角で， その 長さと 幅は 同じである． 彼がそのさおで 都を 測ると， 一万二千 スタディオン あった． 長さも 幅も 高さも 同じである．

- 第五は 赤縞めのう， 第六は 赤めのう， 第七は 貴かんらん 石， 第八は 綠柱石， 第九は 黃玉， 第十は 綠玉¿， 第十一は 靑玉， 第十二は 紫水晶であった．

- The twelve gates were twelve pearls, each gate made of a single pearl. The great street of the city was of pure gold, like transparent glass.
- I did not see a temple in the city, because the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple.
- The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp.
- The nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their splendor into it.
- On no day will its gates ever be shut, for there will be no night there.

- また， 十二の 門は 十二の 眞珠であった． どの 門もそれぞれ 一つの 眞珠からできていた． 都の 大通りは， 透き 通った ガラス のような 純金であった．
- 私は， この 都の 中に 神殿を 見なかった． それは， 万物の 支配者である， 神であられる 主と， 小羊とが 都の 神殿だからである．
- 都には， これを 照らす 太陽も 月もいらない． というのは， 神の 榮光が 都を 照らし， 小羊が 都のあかりだからである．
- 諸國の 民が， 都の 光によって 步み， 地の 王たちはその 榮光を 携えて 都に 來る．
- 都の 門は 一日中決して 閉じることがない． そこには 夜がないからである．

- The glory and honor of the nations will be brought into it.
- Nothing impure will ever enter it, nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb's book of life.

- こうして， 人¿は 諸國の 民の 榮光と 譽れとを， そこに 携えて 來る．
- しかし， すべて 汚れた 者や， 憎むべきことと 僞りとを 行なう 者は， 決して 都にはいれない． 小羊のいのちの 書に 名が 書いてある 者だけが， はいることができる．
