마태복음 16:13-16:28

 베드로의 신앙 고백을 들으신 예수님께서는 자신이 십자가에 달려 돌아가실 것을 말씀하셨다. 그러자 베드로는 이를 만류하였다. 이에 예수님께서는 제자의 길은 자기를 부인하고 주를 따르는 것임을 교훈하셨다.
  
  베드로의 신앙 고백(16:13-16:20)    
 
  1. When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, "Who do people say the Son of Man is?"
  2. They replied, "Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets."
  3. "But what about you?" he asked. "Who do you say I am?"
  4. Simon Peter answered, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God."
  5. Jesus replied, "Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by man, but by my Father in heaven.
  1. イエス が ピリポ · カイザリヤ の 地方に 行かれたとき， 弟子たちに 尋ねて 言われた， 「人¿は 人の 子をだれと 言っているか 」．
  2. 彼らは 言った， 「ある 人¿は バプテスマ の ヨハネ だと 言っています． しかし， ほかの 人たちは， エリヤ だと 言い， また， エレミヤ あるいは 預言者のひとりだ， と 言っている 者もあります 」．
  3. そこで イエス は 彼らに 言われた， 「それでは， あなたがたはわたしをだれと 言うか 」．
  4. シモン · ペテロ が 答えて 言った， 「あなたこそ， 生ける 神の 子 キリスト です 」．
  5. すると， イエス は 彼にむかって 言われた， 「バルヨナ · シモン ， あなたはさいわいである． あなたにこの 事をあらわしたのは， 血肉ではなく， 天にいますわたしの 父である．
  1. And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.
  2. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven."
  3. Then he warned his disciples not to tell anyone that he was the Christ.
  1. そこで， わたしもあなたに 言う． あなたは ペテロ である． そして， わたしはこの 岩の 上にわたしの 敎會を 建てよう． 黃泉の 力もそれに 打ち 勝つことはない．
  2. わたしは， あなたに 天國のかぎを 授けよう． そして， あなたが 地上でつなぐことは， 天でもつながれ， あなたが 地上で 解くことは 天でも 解かれるであろう 」．
  3. そのとき， イエス は， 自分が キリスト であることをだれにも 言ってはいけないと， 弟子たちを 戒められた．
 
  제자의 길(16:21-16:28)    
 
  1. From that time on Jesus began to explain to his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things at the hands of the elders, chief priests and teachers of the law, and that he must be killed and on the third day be raised to life.
  2. Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him. "Never, Lord!" he said. "This shall never happen to you!"
  3. Jesus turned and said to Peter, "Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me; you do not have in mind the things of God, but the things of men."
  4. Then Jesus said to his disciples, "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.
  5. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will find it.
  1. この 時から， イエス · キリスト は， 自分が 必ず エルサレム に 行き， 長老， 祭司長， 律法學者たちから 多くの 苦しみを 受け， 殺され， そして 三日目によみがえるべきことを， 弟子たちに 示しはじめられた．
  2. すると， ペテロ は イエス をわきへ 引き 寄せて， いさめはじめ， 「主よ， とんでもないことです． そんなことがあるはずはございません 」と 言った．
  3. イエス は 振り 向いて， ペテロ に 言われた， 「サタン よ， 引きさがれ． わたしの 邪魔をする 者だ． あなたは 神のことを 思わないで， 人のことを 思っている 」．
  4. それから イエス は 弟子たちに 言われた， 「だれでもわたしについてきたいと 思うなら， 自分を 捨て， 自分の 十字架を 負うて， わたしに 從ってきなさい．
  5. 自分の 命を 救おうと 思う 者はそれを 失い， わたしのために 自分の 命を 失う 者は， それを 見いだすであろう．
  1. What good will it be for a man if he gains the whole world, yet forfeits his soul? Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul?
  2. For the Son of Man is going to come in his Father's glory with his angels, and then he will reward each person according to what he has done.
  3. I tell you the truth, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom."
  1. たとい 人が 全世界をもうけても， 自分の 命を 損したら， なんの 得になろうか． また， 人はどんな 代價を 拂って， その 命を 買いもどすことができようか．
  2. 人の 子は 父の 榮光のうちに， 御使たちを 從えて 來るが， その 時には， 實際のおこないに 應じて， それぞれに 報いるであろう．
  3. よく 聞いておくがよい， 人の 子が 御國の 力をもって 來るのを 見るまでは， 死を 味わわない 者が， ここに 立っている 者の 中にいる 」．
