	신명기 24:1-26:11 모세는 일상 생활과 관련된 여러 가지 율법들을 제시하면서, 특별히 가난한 자들에 대한 배려를 잊지 말 것을 권고했다. 그리고 범법자에 대한 처벌은 경중을 따져 적절히 시행할 것과, 상거래에 있어 정당한 저울 추를 사용할 것과, 아말렉을 도말할 것을 명령했다. 또한 가나안 정착 후 땅의 첫 소산물을 하나님께 드리며 신앙을 고백하라고 명했다.

	가정사에 대한 규례(24:1-24:22)

If a man marries a woman who becomes displeasing to him because he finds something indecent about her, and he writes her a certificate of divorce, gives it to her and sends her from his house,

and if after she leaves his house she becomes the wife of another man,

and her second husband dislikes her and writes her a certificate of divorce, gives it to her and sends her from his house, or if he dies,

then her first husband, who divorced her, is not allowed to marry her again after she has been defiled. That would be detestable in the eyes of the LORD. Do not bring sin upon the land the LORD your God is giving you as an inheritance.

If a man has recently married, he must not be sent to war or have any other duty laid on him. For one year he is to be free to stay at home and bring happiness to the wife he has married.

人が妻をめとって，結婚したのちに，その女に恥ずべきことのあるのを見て，好まなくなったならば，離緣狀を書いて彼女の手に渡し，家を去らせなければならない．

女がその家を出てのち，行って，ほかの人にとつぎ，

後の夫も彼女をきらって，離緣狀を書き，その手に渡して家を去らせるか，または妻にめとった後の夫が死んだときは，

彼女はすでに身を汚したのちであるから，彼女を去らせた先の夫は，ふたたび彼女を妻にめとることはできない．これは主の前に憎むべき事だからである．あなたの神，主が嗣業としてあなたに與えられる地に罪を負わせてはならない．

人が新たに妻をめとった時は，戰爭に出してはならない．また何の務もこれに負わせてはならない．その人は一年の間，束縛なく家にいて，そのめとった妻を慰めなければならない．

Do not take a pair of millstones--not even the upper one--as security for a debt, because that would be taking a man's livelihood as security.

If a man is caught kidnapping one of his brother Israelites and treats him as a slave or sells him, the kidnapper must die. You must purge the evil from among you.

In cases of leprous diseases be very careful to do exactly as the priests, who are Levites, instruct you. You must follow carefully what I have commanded them.

Remember what the LORD your God did to Miriam along the way after you came out of Egypt.

When you make a loan of any kind to your neighbor, do not go into his house to get what he is offering as a pledge.

ひきうす，またはその上石を質にとってはならない．これは命をつなぐものを質にとることだからである．

イスラエルの人¿のうちの同胞のひとりをかどわかして，これを奴隷のようにあしらい，またはこれを賣る者を見つけたならば，そのかどわかした者を殺して，あなたがたのうちから惡を除き去らなければならない．

らい病の起った時は氣をつけて，すべてレビびとたる祭司が敎えることを，よく守って行わなければならない．すなわちわたしが彼らに命じたように，あなたがたはそれを守って行わなければならない．

あなたがたがエジプトから出てきたとき，道であなたの神，主がミリアムにされたことを記憶しなければならない．

あなたが隣人に物を貸すときは，自分でその家にはいって，質物を取ってはならない．

Stay outside and let the man to whom you are making the loan bring the pledge out to you.

If the man is poor, do not go to sleep with his pledge in your possession.

Return his cloak to him by sunset so that he may sleep in it. Then he will thank you, and it will be regarded as a righteous act in the sight of the LORD your God.

Do not take advantage of a hired man who is poor and needy, whether he is a brother Israelite or an alien living in one of your towns.

Pay him his wages each day before sunset, because he is poor and is counting on it. Otherwise he may cry to the LORD against you, and you will be guilty of sin.

あなたは外に立っていて，借りた人が質物を外にいるあなたのところへ持ち出さなければならない．

もしその人が貧しい人である時は，あなたはその質物を留めおいて寢てはならない．

その質物は日の入るまでに，必ず返さなければならない．そうすれば彼は自分の上着をかけて寢ることができて，あなたを祝福するであろう．それはあなたの神，主の前にあなたの義となるであろう．

Fathers shall not be put to death for their children, nor children put to death for their fathers; each is to die for his own sin.

Do not deprive the alien or the fatherless of justice, or take the cloak of the widow as a pledge.

Remember that you were slaves in Egypt and the LORD your God redeemed you from there. That is why I command you to do this.

When you are harvesting in your field and you overlook a sheaf, do not go back to get it. Leave it for the alien, the fatherless and the widow, so that the LORD your God may bless you in all the work of your hands.

When you beat the olives from your trees, do not go over the branches a second time. Leave what remains for the alien, the fatherless and the widow.

父は子のゆえに殺さるべきではない．子は父のゆえに殺さるべきではない．おのおの自分の罪のゆえに殺さるべきである．

寄留の他國人または孤兒のさばきを曲げてはならない．寡婦の着物を質に取ってはならない．

あなたはかつてエジプトで奴隷であったが，あなたの神，主がそこからあなたを救い出されたことを記憶しなければならない．それでわたしはあなたにこの事をせよと命じるのである．

あなたが畑で穀物を刈る時，もしその一束を畑におき忘れたならば，それを取りに引き返してはならない．それは寄留の他國人と孤兒と寡婦に取らせなければならない．そうすればあなたの神，主はすべてあなたがする事において，あなたを祝福されるであろう．

あなたがオリブの實をうち落すときは，ふたたびその枝を搜してはならない．それを寄留の他國人と孤兒と寡婦に取らせなければならない．

When you harvest the grapes in your vineyard, do not go over the vines again. Leave what remains for the alien, the fatherless and the widow.

Remember that you were slaves in Egypt. That is why I command you to do this.

またぶどう畑のぶどうを摘み取るときは，その殘ったものを，ふたたび搜してはならない．それを寄留の他國人と孤兒と寡婦に取らせなければならない．

あなたはかつてエジプトの國で奴隷であったことを記憶しなければならない．それでわたしはあなたにこの事をせよと命じるのである．

	인간 관계에 대한 규례(25:1-25:19)

When men have a dispute, they are to take it to court and the judges will decide the case, acquitting the innocent and condemning the guilty.

If the guilty man deserves to be beaten, the judge shall make him lie down and have him flogged in his presence with the number of lashes his crime deserves,

but he must not give him more than forty lashes. If he is flogged more than that, your brother will be degraded in your eyes.

Do not muzzle an ox while it is treading out the grain.

If brothers are living together and one of them dies without a son, his widow must not marry outside the family. Her husband's brother shall take her and marry her and fulfill the duty of a brother-in-law to her.

人と人との間に爭い事があって，さばきを求めてきたならば，さばきびとはこれをさばいて，正しい者を正しいとし，惡い者を惡いとしなければならない．

その惡い者が，むち打つべき者であるならば，さばきびとは彼を伏させ，自分の前で，その罪にしたがい，數えて彼をむち打たせなければならない．

彼をむち打つには四十を越えてはならない．もしそれを越えて，それよりも多くむちを打つときは，あなたの兄弟はあなたの目の前で，はずかしめられることになるであろう．

The first son she bears shall carry on the name of the dead brother so that his name will not be blotted out from Israel.

However, if a man does not want to marry his brother's wife, she shall go to the elders at the town gate and say, "My husband's brother refuses to carry on his brother's name in Israel. He will not fulfill the duty of a brother-in-law to me."

Then the elders of his town shall summon him and talk to him. If he persists in saying, "I do not want to marry her,"

his brother's widow shall go up to him in the presence of the elders, take off one of his sandals, spit in his face and say, "This is what is done to the man who will not build up his brother's family line."

That man's line shall be known in Israel as The Family of the Unsandaled.

そしてその女が初めに産む男の子に，死んだ兄弟の名を繼がせ，その名をイスラエルのうちに絶やさないようにしなければならない．

しかしその人が兄弟の妻をめとるのを好まないならば，その兄弟の妻は町の門へ行って，長老たちに言わなければならない，『わたしの夫の兄弟はその兄弟の名をイスラエルのうちに殘すのを拒んで，夫の兄弟としての道をつくすことを好みません』．

その兄弟の妻は長老たちの目の前で，彼のそばに行き，その足のくつを脫がせ，その顔につばきして，答えて言わなければならない．『兄弟の家をたてない者には，このようにすべきです』．

If two men are fighting and the wife of one of them comes to rescue her husband from his assailant, and she reaches out and seizes him by his private parts,

you shall cut off her hand. Show her no pity.

Do not have two differing weights in your bag--one heavy, one light.

Do not have two differing measures in your house--one large, one small.

You must have accurate and honest weights and measures, so that you may live long in the land the LORD your God is giving you.

ふたりの人が互に爭うときに，そのひとりの人の妻が，打つ者の手から夫を救おうとして近づき，手を伸べて，その人の隱し所をつかまえるならば，

その女の手を切り落さなければならない．あわれみをかけてはならない．

あなたの袋に大小二種の重り石を入れておいてはならない．

あなたの家に大小二種のますをおいてはならない．

不足のない正しい重り石を持ち，また不足のない正しいますを持たなければならない．そうすればあなたの神，主が賜わる地で，あなたは長く命を保つことができるであろう．

For the LORD your God detests anyone who does these things, anyone who deals dishonestly.

Remember what the Amalekites did to you along the way when you came out of Egypt.

When you were weary and worn out, they met you on your journey and cut off all who were lagging behind; they had no fear of God.

When the LORD your God gives you rest from all the enemies around you in the land he is giving you to possess as an inheritance, you shall blot out the memory of Amalek from under heaven. Do not forget!

すべてこのような不正をする者を，あなたの神，主が憎まれるからである．

あなたがエジプトから出てきた時，道でアマレクびとがあなたにしたことを記憶しなければならない．

すなわち彼らは道であなたに出會い，あなたがうみ疲れている時，うしろについてきていたすべての弱っている者を攻め擊った．このように彼らは神を恐れなかった．

それで，あなたの神，主が嗣業として賜わる地で，あなたの神，主があなたの周圍のすべての敵を征服して，あなたに安息を與えられる時，あなたはアマレクの名を天の下から消し去らなければならない．この事を忘れてはならない．

	맏물을 바치는 신앙 고백(26:1-26:11)

When you have entered the land the LORD your God is giving you as an inheritance and have taken possession of it and settled in it,

take some of the firstfruits of all that you produce from the soil of the land the LORD your God is giving you and put them in a basket. Then go to the place the LORD your God will choose as a dwelling for his Name

and say to the priest in office at the time, "I declare today to the LORD your God that I have come to the land the LORD swore to our forefathers to give us."

The priest shall take the basket from your hands and set it down in front of the altar of the LORD your God.

Then you shall declare before the LORD your God: "My father was a wandering Aramean, and he went down into Egypt with a few people and lived there and became a great nation, powerful and numerous.

あなたの神，主が嗣業として賜わる國にはいって，それを所有し，そこに住む時は，

あなたの神，主が賜わる國にできる，地のすべての實の初物を取ってかごに入れ，あなたの神，主がその名を置くために選ばれる所へ携えて行かなければならない．

そしてその時の祭司の所へ行って彼に言わなければならない，『きょう，あなたの神，主にわたしは申します．主がわれわれに與えると先祖たちに誓われた國に，わたしははいることができました』．

そのとき祭司はあなたの手からそのかごを受け取ってあなたの神，主の祭壇の前に置かなければならない．

そして，あなたはあなたの神，主の前に述べて言わなければならない，『わたしの先祖は，さすらいの一アラムびとでありましたが，わずかの人を連れてエジプトへ下って行って，その所に寄留し，ついにそこで大きく，强い，人數の多い國民になりました．

But the Egyptians mistreated us and made us suffer, putting us to hard labor.

Then we cried out to the LORD, the God of our fathers, and the LORD heard our voice and saw our misery, toil and oppression.

So the LORD brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm, with great terror and with miraculous signs and wonders.

He brought us to this place and gave us this land, a land flowing with milk and honey;

and now I bring the firstfruits of the soil that you, O LORD, have given me." Place the basket before the LORD your God and bow down before him.

ところがエジプトびとはわれわれをしえたげ，また惱まして，つらい勞役を負わせましたが，

われわれが先祖たちの神，主に叫んだので，主はわれわれの聲を聞き，われわれの惱みと，骨折りと，しえたげとを顧み，

主は强い手と，伸べた腕と，大いなる恐るべき事と，しるしと，不思議とをもって，われわれをエジプトから導き出し，

われわれをこの所へ連れてきて，乳と蜜の流れるこの地をわれわれに賜わりました．

主よ，ごらんください．あなたがわたしに賜わった地の實の初物を，いま携えてきました』．そしてあなたはそれをあなたの神，主の前に置いて，あなたの神，主の前に禮拜し，

And you and the Levites and the aliens among you shall rejoice in all the good things the LORD your God has given to you and your household.

あなたの神，主があなたとあなたの家とに賜わったすべての良い物をもって，レビびとおよびあなたのなかにいる寄留の他國人と共に喜び樂しまなければならない．
