- As he looked up, Jesus saw the rich putting their gifts into the temple treasury.
- He also saw a poor widow put in two very small copper coins.
- "I tell you the truth," he said, "this poor widow has put in more than all the others.
- All these people gave their gifts out of their wealth; but she out of her poverty put in all she had to live on."
- Some of his disciples were remarking about how the temple was adorned with beautiful stones and with gifts dedicated to God. But Jesus said,

- イエス は 目をあげて， 金持たちがさいせん 箱に 獻金を 投げ 入れるのを 見られ，
- また， ある 貧しいやもめが， レプタ 二つを 入れるのを 見て
- 言われた， 「よく 聞きなさい． あの 貧しいやもめはだれよりもたくさん 入れたのだ．
- これらの 人たちはみな， ありあまる 中から 獻金を 投げ 入れたが， あの 婦人は， その 乏しい 中から， 持っている 生活費全部を 入れたからである 」．
- ある 人¿が， 見事な 石と 奉納物とで 宮が 飾られていることを 話していたので， イエス は 言われた，

- "As for what you see here, the time will come when not one stone will be left on another; every one of them will be thrown down."
- "Teacher," they asked, "when will these things happen? And what will be the sign that they are about to take place?"
- He replied: "Watch out that you are not deceived. For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am he,' and, 'The time is near.' Do not follow them.
- When you hear of wars and revolutions, do not be frightened. These things must happen first, but the end will not come right away."
- Then he said to them: "Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.

- 「あなたがたはこれらのものをながめているが， その 石一つでもくずされずに， 他の 石の 上に 殘ることもなくなる 日が， 來るであろう 」．
- そこで 彼らはたずねた， 「先生， では， いつそんなことが 起るのでしょうか． またそんなことが 起るような 場合には， どんな 前兆がありますか 」．
- イエス が 言われた， 「あなたがたは， 惑わされないように 氣をつけなさい． 多くの 者がわたし 名を 名のって 現れ， 自分がそれだとか， 時が 近づいたとか， 言うであろう． 彼らについて 行くな．
- 戰爭と ¿亂とのうわさを 聞くときにも， おじ 恐れるな． こうしたことはまず 起らねばならないが， 終りはすぐにはこない 」．
- それから 彼らに 言われた， 「民は 民に， 國は 國に 敵對して 立ち 上がるであろう．

- There will be great earthquakes, famines and pestilences in various places, and fearful events and great signs from heaven.
- "But before all this, they will lay hands on you and persecute you. They will deliver you to synagogues and prisons, and you will be brought before kings and governors, and all on account of my name.
- This will result in your being witnesses to them.
- But make up your mind not to worry beforehand how you will defend yourselves.
- For I will give you words and wisdom that none of your adversaries will be able to resist or contradict.

- また 大地震があり， あちこちに 疫病やききんが 起り， いろいろ 恐ろしいことや 天からの 物すごい 前兆があるであろう．
- しかし， これらのあらゆる 出來事のある 前に， 人¿はあなたがたに 手をかけて 迫害をし， 會堂や 獄に 引き 渡し， わたしの 名のゆえに 王や 總督の 前にひっぱって 行くであろう．
- それは， あなたがたがあかしをする 機會となるであろう．
- だから， どう 答弁しようかと， 前もって 考えておかないことに 心を 決めなさい．
- あなたの 反對者のだれもが 抗弁も 否定もできないような 言葉と 知惠とを， わたしが 授けるから．

- You will be betrayed even by parents, brothers, relatives and friends, and they will put some of you to death.
- All men will hate you because of me.
- But not a hair of your head will perish.
- By standing firm you will gain life.
- "When you see Jerusalem being surrounded by armies, you will know that its desolation is near.

- しかし， あなたがたは 兩親， 兄弟， 親族， 友人にさえ 裏切られるであろう． また， あなたがたの 中で 殺されるものもあろう．
- また， わたしの 名のゆえにすべての 人に 憎まれるであろう．
- しかし， あなたがたの 髮の 毛一すじでも 失われることはない．
- あなたがたは 耐え 忍ぶことによって， 自分の 魂をかち 取るであろう．
- エルサレム が 軍隊に 包圍されるのを 見たならば， そのときは， その 滅亡が 近づいたとさとりなさい．

- Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those in the city get out, and let those in the country not enter the city.
- For this is the time of punishment in fulfillment of all that has been written.
- How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! There will be great distress in the land and wrath against this people.
- They will fall by the sword and will be taken as prisoners to all the nations. Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.
- "There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea.

- そのとき， ユダヤ にいる 人¿は 山へ 逃げよ． 市中にいる 者は， そこから 出て 行くがよい． また， いなかにいる 者は 市內にはいってはいけない．
- それは， 聖書にしるされたすべての 事が 實現する 刑罰の 日であるからだ
- その 日には， 身重の 女と 乳飮み 子をもつ 女とは， 不幸である． 地上には 大きな 苦難があり， この 民にはみ 怒りが 臨み，

- また 日と 月と 星とに， しるしが 現れるであろう． そして， 地上では， 諸國民が 惱み， 海と 大波とのとどろきにおじ 惑い，

- Men will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken.
- At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
- When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near."

- 人¿は 世界に 起ろうとする 事を 思い， 恐怖と 不安で 氣絶するであろう． もろもろの 天體が ¿り 動かされるからである．
- そのとき， 大いなる 力と 榮光とをもって， 人の 子が 雲に 乘って 來るのを， 人¿は 見るであろう．
- これらの 事が 起りはじめたら， 身を 起し 頭をもたげなさい． あなたがたの 救が 近づいているのだから 」．
