사무엘상 26:1-28:25

 사울은 다윗을 추격하다가 오히려 다윗에게 죽을 위기를 맞았으나 다윗은 또다시 그를 살려 주었다. 사울을 두려워한 다윗은 가드 왕 아기스에게 도피하였다. 블레셋의 침략에 위급해진 사울은 엔돌의 신접한 여인을 찾아가 사무엘의 혼을 불러 올리게 하였다. 그에게 나타난 사무엘은 사울의 범죄를 지적하며 그의 몰락과 죽음을 예고했다.
  
  사울을 다시 살려 준 다윗(26:1-26:25)    
 
  1. The Ziphites went to Saul at Gibeah and said, "Is not David hiding on the hill of Hakilah, which faces Jeshimon?"
  2. So Saul went down to the Desert of Ziph, with his three thousand chosen men of Israel, to search there for David.
  3. Saul made his camp beside the road on the hill of Hakilah facing Jeshimon, but David stayed in the desert. When he saw that Saul had followed him there,
  4. he sent out scouts and learned that Saul had definitely arrived.
  5. Then David set out and went to the place where Saul had camped. He saw where Saul and Abner son of Ner, the commander of the army, had lain down. Saul was lying inside the camp, with the army encamped around him.
  1. そのころ ジフ びとが ギベア におる サウル のもとにきて 言った， 「ダビデ は 荒野の 前にある ハキラ の 山に 隱れているではありませんか 」．

  1. David then asked Ahimelech the Hittite and Abishai son of Zeruiah, Joab's brother, "Who will go down into the camp with me to Saul?" "I'll go with you," said Abishai.
  2. So David and Abishai went to the army by night, and there was Saul, lying asleep inside the camp with his spear stuck in the ground near his head. Abner and the soldiers were lying around him.
  3. Abishai said to David, "Today God has delivered your enemy into your hands. Now let me pin him to the ground with one thrust of my spear; I won't strike him twice."
  4. But David said to Abishai, "Don't destroy him! Who can lay a hand on the LORD's anointed and be guiltless?
  5. As surely as the LORD lives," he said, "the LORD himself will strike him; either his time will come and he will die, or he will go into battle and perish.

  1. But the LORD forbid that I should lay a hand on the LORD's anointed. Now get the spear and water jug that are near his head, and let's go."
  2. So David took the spear and water jug near Saul's head, and they left. No one saw or knew about it, nor did anyone wake up. They were all sleeping, because the LORD had put them into a deep sleep.
  3. Then David crossed over to the other side and stood on top of the hill some distance away; there was a wide space between them.
  4. He called out to the army and to Abner son of Ner, "Aren't you going to answer me, Abner?" Abner replied, "Who are you who calls to the king?"
  5. David said, "You're a man, aren't you? And who is like you in Israel? Why didn't you guard your lord the king? Someone came to destroy your lord the king.
  1. 主が 油を 注がれた 者に 向かって， わたしが 手をのべることを 主は 禁じられる． しかし 今， そのまくらもとにあるやりと 水のびんを 取りなさい． そしてわれわれは 去ろう 」．

  1. What you have done is not good. As surely as the LORD lives, you and your men deserve to die, because you did not guard your master, the LORD's anointed. Look around you. Where are the king's spear and water jug that were near his head?"
  2. Saul recognized David's voice and said, "Is that your voice, David my son?" David replied, "Yes it is, my lord the king."
  3. And he added, "Why is my lord pursuing his servant? What have I done, and what wrong am I guilty of?
  4. Now let my lord the king listen to his servant's words. If the LORD has incited you against me, then may he accept an offering. If, however, men have done it, may they be cursed before the LORD! They have now driven me from my share in the LORD's inheritance and have said, 'Go, serve other gods.'
  5. Now do not let my blood fall to the ground far from the presence of the LORD. The king of Israel has come out to look for a flea--as one hunts a partridge in the mountains."
  1. あなたがしたこの 事は 良くない． 主は 生きておられる． あなたがたは， まさに 死に 値する． 主が 油をそそがれた， あなたの 主君を 守らなかったからだ． いま 王のやりがどこにあるか． その 枕もとにあった 水のびんがどこにあるかを 見なさい 」．
  2. サウル は ダビデ の 聲を 聞きわけて 言った， 「わが 子 ダビデ よ， これはあなたの 聲か 」． ダビデ は 言った， 「王， わが 君よ， わたしの 聲です 」．
  3. ダビデ はまた 言った， 「わが 君はどうしてしもべのあとを 追われるのですか． わたしが 何をしたのですか． わたしの 手になんのわるいことがあるのですか．
  4. 王， わが 君よ， どうぞ， 今しもべの 言葉を 聞いてください． もし 主があなたを 動かして， わたしの 敵とされたのであれば， どうぞ 主が 供え 物を 受けて 和らいでくださるように． もし， それが 人であるならば， どうぞその 人¿が 主の 前にのろいを 受けるように． 彼らが『おまえは 行って 他の 神¿に 仕えなさい 』と 言って， きょう， わたしを 追い 出し， 主の 嗣業にあずかることができないようにしたからです．
  5. それゆえ 今， 主の 前を 離れて， わたしの 血が 地に 落ちることのないようにしてください． イスラエル の 王は， 人が 山で， しゃこを 追うように， わたしの 命を 取ろうとして 出てこられたのです 」．
  1. Then Saul said, "I have sinned. Come back, David my son. Because you considered my life precious today, I will not try to harm you again. Surely I have acted like a fool and have erred greatly."
  2. "Here is the king's spear," David answered. "Let one of your young men come over and get it.
  3. The LORD rewards every man for his righteousness and faithfulness. The LORD delivered you into my hands today, but I would not lay a hand on the LORD's anointed.
  4. As surely as I valued your life today, so may the LORD value my life and deliver me from all trouble."
  5. Then Saul said to David, "May you be blessed, my son David; you will do great things and surely triumph." So David went on his way, and Saul returned home.
  1. その 時， サウル は 言った， 「わたしは 罪を 犯した． わが 子 ダビデ よ， 歸ってきてください． きょう， わたしの 命があなたの 目に 尊く 見られたゆえ， わたしは， もはやあなたに 害を 加えないであろう． わたしは 愚かなことをして， 非常なまちがいをした 」．
  2. ダビデ は 答えた， 「王のやりは， ここにあります． ひとりの 若者に 渡ってこさせ， これを 持ちかえらせてください．
  3. 主は 人おのおのにその 義と 眞實とに 從って 報いられます． 主がきょう， あなたをわたしの 手に 渡されたのに， わたしは 主が 油を 注がれた 者に 向かって， 手をのべることをしなかったのです．
  4. きょう， わたしがあなたの 命を 重んじたように， どうぞ 主がわたしの 命を 重んじて， もろもろの 苦難から 救い 出してくださるように 」．
  5. サウル は ダビデ に 言った， 「わが 子 ダビデ よ， あなたはほむべきかな． あなたは 多くの 事をおこなって， それをなし 遂げるであろう 」． こうして ダビデ はその 道を 行き， サウル は 自分の 所へ 歸った．
 
  다윗의 블레셋 망명(27:1-27:12)    
 
  1. But David thought to himself, "One of these days I will be destroyed by the hand of Saul. The best thing I can do is to escape to the land of the Philistines. Then Saul will give up searching for me anywhere in Israel, and I will slip out of his hand."
  2. So David and the six hundred men with him left and went over to Achish son of Maoch king of Gath.
  3. David and his men settled in Gath with Achish. Each man had his family with him, and David had his two wives: Ahinoam of Jezreel and Abigail of Carmel, the widow of Nabal.
  4. When Saul was told that David had fled to Gath, he no longer searched for him.
  5. Then David said to Achish, "If I have found favor in your eyes, let a place be assigned to me in one of the country towns, that I may live there. Why should your servant live in the royal city with you?"
  1. ダビデ は 心にうちに 言った， 「わたしは， いつかは サウル の 手にかかって 滅ぼされるであろう． 早く ペリシテ びとの 地へのがれるほかはない． そうすれば サウル はこの 上 イスラエル の 地にわたしをくまなく 搜すことはやめ， わたしは 彼の 手からのがれることができるであろう 」．
  2. こうして ダビデ は， 共にいた 六百人と 一緖に， 立って ガテ の 王 マオク の 子 アキシ の 所へ 行った．
  3. ダビデ と 從者たちは， おのおのその 家族とともに， ガテ で アキシ と 共に 住んだ． ダビデ はそのふたりの 妻， すなわち エズレル の 女 アヒノアム と， カルメル の 女で ナバル の 妻であった アビガイル と 共におった．
  4. ダビデ が ガテ にのがれたことが サウル に 聞えたので， サウル はもはや 彼を 搜さなかった．
  5. さて ダビデ は アキシ に 言った， 「もしわたしがあなたの 前に 惠みを 得るならば， どうぞ， いなかにある 町のうちで 一つの 場所をわたしに 與えてそこに 住まわせてください． どうしてしもべがあなたと 共に 王の 町に 住むことができましょうか 」．
  1. So on that day Achish gave him Ziklag, and it has belonged to the kings of Judah ever since.
  2. David lived in Philistine territory a year and four months.
  3. Now David and his men went up and raided the Geshurites, the Girzites and the Amalekites. (From ancient times these peoples had lived in the land extending to Shur and Egypt.)
  4. Whenever David attacked an area, he did not leave a man or woman alive, but took sheep and cattle, donkeys and camels, and clothes. Then he returned to Achish.
  5. When Achish asked, "Where did you go raiding today?" David would say, "Against the Negev of Judah" or "Against the Negev of Jerahmeel" or "Against the Negev of the Kenites."
  1. アキシ はその 日 チクラグ を 彼に 與えた． こうして チクラグ は 今日にいたるまで ユダ の 王に 屬している．

  1. He did not leave a man or woman alive to be brought to Gath, for he thought, "They might inform on us and say, 'This is what David did.' " And such was his practice as long as he lived in Philistine territory.
  2. Achish trusted David and said to himself, "He has become so odious to his people, the Israelites, that he will be my servant forever."
  1. ダビデ は 男も 女も 生かしおかず， ひとりをも ガテ に 引いて 行かなかった． それは ダビデ が， 「恐らくは， 彼らが， 『ダビデ はこうした 』と 言って， われわれのことを 告げるであろう 」と 思ったからである． ダビデ は ペリシテ びとのいなかに 住んでいる 間はこうするのが 常であった．
  2. アキシ は ダビデ を 信じて 言った， 「彼は 自分を 全くその 民 イスラエル に 憎まれるようにした． それゆえ 彼は 永久にわたしのしもべとなるであろう 」．
 
  엔돌의 무당을 찾아간 사울(28:1-28:25)    
 
  1. In those days the Philistines gathered their forces to fight against Israel. Achish said to David, "You must understand that you and your men will accompany me in the army."
  2. David said, "Then you will see for yourself what your servant can do." Achish replied, "Very well, I will make you my bodyguard for life."
  3. Now Samuel was dead, and all Israel had mourned for him and buried him in his own town of Ramah. Saul had expelled the mediums and spiritists from the land.
  4. The Philistines assembled and came and set up camp at Shunem, while Saul gathered all the Israelites and set up camp at Gilboa.
  5. When Saul saw the Philistine army, he was afraid; terror filled his heart.
  1. そのころ， ペリシテ びとが イスラエル と 戰おうとして， いくさのために 軍勢を 集めたので， アキシ は ダビデ に 言った， 「あなたは， しかと 承知してください． あなたとあなたの 從者たちとは， わたしと 共に 出て， 軍勢に 加わらなければなりません 」．

  1. He inquired of the LORD, but the LORD did not answer him by dreams or Urim or prophets.
  2. Saul then said to his attendants, "Find me a woman who is a medium, so I may go and inquire of her." "There is one in Endor," they said.
  3. So Saul disguised himself, putting on other clothes, and at night he and two men went to the woman. "Consult a spirit for me," he said, "and bring up for me the one I name."
  4. But the woman said to him, "Surely you know what Saul has done. He has cut off the mediums and spiritists from the land. Why have you set a trap for my life to bring about my death?"
  5. Saul swore to her by the LORD, "As surely as the LORD lives, you will not be punished for this."
  1. そこで サウル は 主に 伺いをたてたが， 主は 夢によっても， ウリム によっても， 預言者によっても 彼に 答えられなかった．
  2. サウル はしもべたちに 言った， 「わたしのために， 口寄せの 女を 搜し 出しなさい． わたしは 行ってその 女に 尋ねよう 」． しもべたちは 彼に 言った， 「見よ， エンドル にひとりの 口寄せがいます 」．
  3. サウル は 姿を 變えてほかの 着物をまとい， ふたりの 從者を 伴って 行き， 夜の 間に， その 女の 所にきた． そして サウル は 言った， 「わたしのために 口寄せの 術を 行って， わたしがあなたに 告げる 人を 呼び 起してください 」．
  4. 女は 彼に 言った， 「あなたは サウル がしたことをごぞんじでしょう． 彼は 口寄せや 占い 師をその 國から 斷ち 滅ぼしました． どうしてあなたは， わたしの 命にわなをかけて， わたしを 死なせようとするのですか 」．
  5. サウル は 主をさして 彼女に 誓って 言った， 「主は 生きておられる． この 事のためにあなたが 罰を 受けることはないでしょう 」．
  1. Then the woman asked, "Whom shall I bring up for you?" "Bring up Samuel," he said.
  2. When the woman saw Samuel, she cried out at the top of her voice and said to Saul, "Why have you deceived me? You are Saul!"
  3. The king said to her, "Don't be afraid. What do you see?" The woman said, "I see a spirit coming up out of the ground."
  4. "What does he look like?" he asked. "An old man wearing a robe is coming up," she said. Then Saul knew it was Samuel, and he bowed down and prostrated himself with his face to the ground.
  5. Samuel said to Saul, "Why have you disturbed me by bringing me up?" "I am in great distress," Saul said. "The Philistines are fighting against me, and God has turned away from me. He no longer answers me, either by prophets or by dreams. So I have called on you to tell me what to do."
  1. 女は 言った， 「あなたのためにだれを 呼び 起しましょうか 」． サウル は 言った， 「サムエル を 呼び 起してください 」．

  5. サムエル は サウル に 言った， 「なぜ， わたしを 呼び 起して， わたしを 煩わすのか 」． サウル は 言った， 「わたしは， ひじょうに 惱んでいます． ペリシテ びとがわたしに 向かっていくさを 起し， 神はわたしを 離れて， 預言者によっても， 夢によっても， もはやわたしに 答えられないのです． それで， わたしのすべきことを 知るために， あなたを 呼びました 」．
  1. Samuel said, "Why do you consult me, now that the LORD has turned away from you and become your enemy?
  2. The LORD has done what he predicted through me. The LORD has torn the kingdom out of your hands and given it to one of your neighbors--to David.
  3. Because you did not obey the LORD or carry out his fierce wrath against the Amalekites, the LORD has done this to you today.
  4. The LORD will hand over both Israel and you to the Philistines, and tomorrow you and your sons will be with me. The LORD will also hand over the army of Israel to the Philistines."
  5. Immediately Saul fell full length on the ground, filled with fear because of Samuel's words. His strength was gone, for he had eaten nothing all that day and night.
  1. サムエル は 言った， 「主があなたを 離れて， あなたの 敵となられたのに， どうしてあなたはわたしに 問うのですか．
  2. 主は， わたしによって 語られたとおりにあなたに 行われた． 主は 王國を， あなたの 手から 裂きはなして， あなたの 隣人である ダビデ に 與えられた．
  3. あなたは 主の 聲に 聞き 從わず， 主の 激しい 怒りに 從って， アマレク びとを 擊ち 滅ぼさなかったゆえに， 主はこの 事を， この 日， あなたに 行われたのである．

  5. そのとき サウル は， ただちに， 地に 伸び， 倒れ， サムエル の 言葉のために， ひじょうに 恐れ， またその 力はうせてしまった． その 一日一夜， 食物をとっていなかったからである．
  1. When the woman came to Saul and saw that he was greatly shaken, she said, "Look, your maidservant has obeyed you. I took my life in my hands and did what you told me to do.
  2. Now please listen to your servant and let me give you some food so you may eat and have the strength to go on your way."
  3. He refused and said, "I will not eat." But his men joined the woman in urging him, and he listened to them. He got up from the ground and sat on the couch.
  4. The woman had a fattened calf at the house, which she butchered at once. She took some flour, kneaded it and baked bread without yeast.
  5. Then she set it before Saul and his men, and they ate. That same night they got up and left.
  1. 女は サウル のもとにきて， 彼のおののいているのを 見て 言った， 「あなたのつかえめは， あなたの 聲に 聞き 從い， わたしの 命をかけて， あなたの 言われた 言葉に 從いました．
  2. それゆえ 今あなたも， つかえめの 聲に 聞き 從い， 一口の パン をあなたの 前にそなえさせてください． あなたはそれをめしあがって 力をつけ， 道を 行ってください 」．
  3. ところが サウル は 斷って 言った， 「わたしは 食べません 」． しかし 彼のしもべたちも， その 女もしいてすすめたので， サウル はその 言葉を 聞きいれ， 地から 起きあがり， 床の 上にすわった．
  4. その 女は 家に 肥えた 子牛があったので， 急いでそれをほふり， また 麥粉をとり， こねて， 種入れぬ パン を 燒き，
  5. サウル とそのしもべたちの 前に 持ってきたので， 彼らは 食べた． そして 彼らは 立ち 上がって， その 夜のうちに 去った．
