열왕기상 5:1-6:38

 하나님의 섭리하심으로 솔로몬은 두로 왕 히람과 언약을 맺고 성전 건축에 필요한 자재와 기술자를 확보하였다. 그는 인력을 효과적으로 투입하여 7년 만에 성전을 완공하였다.
  
  성전 건축 준비(5:1-5:18)    
 
  1. When Hiram king of Tyre heard that Solomon had been anointed king to succeed his father David, he sent his envoys to Solomon, because he had always been on friendly terms with David.
  2. Solomon sent back this message to Hiram:
  3. "You know that because of the wars waged against my father David from all sides, he could not build a temple for the Name of the LORD his God until the LORD put his enemies under his feet.
  4. But now the LORD my God has given me rest on every side, and there is no adversary or disaster.
  5. I intend, therefore, to build a temple for the Name of the LORD my God, as the LORD told my father David, when he said, 'Your son whom I will put on the throne in your place will build the temple for my Name.'
  1. さて ツロ の 王 ヒラム は， ソロモン が 油を 注がれ， その 父に 代って， 王となったのを 聞いて， 家來を ソロモン につかわした． ヒラム は 常に ダビデ を 愛したからである．
  2. そこで ソロモン は ヒラム に 人をつかわして 言った，
  3. 「あなたの 知られるとおり， 父 ダビデ はその 周圍にあった 敵との 戰いのゆえに， 彼の 神， 主の 名のために 宮を 建てることができず， 主が 彼らをその 足の 裏の 下に 置かれるのを 待ちました．
  4. ところが 今わが 神， 主はわたしに 四方の 太平を 賜わって， 敵もなく， 災もなくなったので，
  5. 主が 父 ダビデ に『おまえに 代って， おまえの 位に， わたしがつかせるおまえの 子， その 人がわが 名のために 宮を 建てるであろう 』と 言われたように， わが 神， 主の 名のために 宮を 建てようと 思います．
  1. "So give orders that cedars of Lebanon be cut for me. My men will work with yours, and I will pay you for your men whatever wages you set. You know that we have no one so skilled in felling timber as the Sidonians."
  2. When Hiram heard Solomon's message, he was greatly pleased and said, "Praise be to the LORD today, for he has given David a wise son to rule over this great nation."
  3. So Hiram sent word to Solomon: "I have received the message you sent me and will do all you want in providing the cedar and pine logs.
  4. My men will haul them down from Lebanon to the sea, and I will float them in rafts by sea to the place you specify. There I will separate them and you can take them away. And you are to grant my wish by providing food for my royal household."
  5. In this way Hiram kept Solomon supplied with all the cedar and pine logs he wanted,

  2. ヒラム は ソロモン の 言葉を 聞いて 大いに 喜び， 「きょう， 主はあがむべきかな． 主はこのおびただしい 民を 治める 賢い 子を ダビデ に 賜わった 」と 言った．
  3. そして ヒラム は ソロモン に 人をつかわして 言った， 「わたしはあなたが 申しおくられたことを 聞きました． 香柏の 材木と， いとすぎの 材木については， すべてお 望みのようにいたします．
  4. わたしのしもべどもにそれを レバノン から 海に 運びおろさせましょう． わたしはそれをいかだに 組んで， 海路， あなたの 指示される 場所まで 送り， そこでそれをくずしましょう． あなたはそれを 受け 取ってください． また， あなたはわたしの 家のために 食物を 供給して， わたしの 望みをかなえてください 」．
  5. こうして ヒラム は ソロモン にすべて 望みのように 香柏の 材木と， いとすぎの 材木を 與えた．
  1. and Solomon gave Hiram twenty thousand cors of wheat as food for his household, in addition to twenty thousand baths , of pressed olive oil. Solomon continued to do this for Hiram year after year.
  2. The LORD gave Solomon wisdom, just as he had promised him. There were peaceful relations between Hiram and Solomon, and the two of them made a treaty.
  3. King Solomon conscripted laborers from all Israel--thirty thousand men.
  4. He sent them off to Lebanon in shifts of ten thousand a month, so that they spent one month in Lebanon and two months at home. Adoniram was in charge of the forced labor.
  5. Solomon had seventy thousand carriers and eighty thousand stonecutters in the hills,
  1. また ソロモン は ヒラム にその 家の 食物として 小麥二万 コル を 與え， また オリブ をつぶして 取った 油二万 コル を 與えた． このように ソロモン は 年¿ ヒラム に 與えた．
  2. 主は 約束されたように ソロモン に 知惠を 賜わった． また ヒラム と ソロモン の 間は 平和であって， 彼らふたりは 條約を 結んだ．
  3. ソロモン 王は イスラエル の 全地から 强制的に 勞¿者を 徵募した． その 徵募人員は 三万人であった．
  4. ソロモン は 彼らを 一か 月交代に 一万人ずつ レバノン につかわした． すなわち 一か 月 レバノン に， 二か 月家にあり， アドニラム は 徵募の 監督であった．
  5. ソロモン にはまた 荷を 負う 者が 七万人， 山で 石を 切る 者が 八万人あった．
  1. as well as thirty-three hundred foremen who supervised the project and directed the workmen.
  2. At the king's command they removed from the quarry large blocks of quality stone to provide a foundation of dressed stone for the temple.
  3. The craftsmen of Solomon and Hiram and the men of Gebal cut and prepared the timber and stone for the building of the temple.
  1. ほかに ソロモン には 工事を 監督する 上役の 官吏が 三千三百人あって， 工事に ¿く 民を 監督した．
  2. 王は 命じて 大きい 高價な 石を 切り 出させ， 切り 石をもって 宮の 基をすえさせた．
  3. こうして ソロモン の 建築者と， ヒラム の 建築者および ゲバル びとは 石を 切り， 材木と 石とを 宮を 建てるために 備えた．
 
  성전 건축(6:1-6:38)    
 
  1. In the four hundred and eightieth year after the Israelites had come out of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon's reign over Israel, in the month of Ziv, the second month, he began to build the temple of the LORD.
  2. The temple that King Solomon built for the LORD was sixty cubits long, twenty wide and thirty high.
  3. The portico at the front of the main hall of the temple extended the width of the temple, that is twenty cubits, and projected ten cubits from the front of the temple.
  4. He made narrow clerestory windows in the temple.
  5. Against the walls of the main hall and inner sanctuary he built a structure around the building, in which there were side rooms.
  1. イスラエル の 人¿が エジプト の 地を 出て 後四百八十年， ソロモン が イスラエル の 王となって 第四年の ジフ の 月すなわち 二月に， ソロモン は 主のために 宮を 建てることを 始めた．
  2. ソロモン 王が 主のために 建てた 宮は 長さ 六十 キュビト ， 幅二十 キュビト ， 高さ 三十 キュビト であった．
  3. 宮の 拜殿の 前の 廊は 宮の 幅にしたがって 長さ 二十 キュビト ， その 幅は 宮の 前で 十 キュビト であった．
  4. 彼は 宮に， 內側の 廣い ¿の 窓を 造った．
  5. また 宮の 壁につけて 周圍に 脇屋を 設け， 宮の 壁すなわち 拜殿と 本殿の 壁の 周圍に 建てめぐらし， 宮の 周圍に 脇間があるようにした．
  1. The lowest floor was five cubits wide, the middle floor six cubits and the third floor seven. He made offset ledges around the outside of the temple so that nothing would be inserted into the temple walls.
  2. In building the temple, only blocks dressed at the quarry were used, and no hammer, chisel or any other iron tool was heard at the temple site while it was being built.
  3. The entrance to the lowest floor was on the south side of the temple; a stairway led up to the middle level and from there to the third.
  4. So he built the temple and completed it, roofing it with beams and cedar planks.
  5. And he built the side rooms all along the temple. The height of each was five cubits, and they were attached to the temple by beams of cedar.
  1. 下の 脇間は 廣さ 五 キュビト ， 中の 廣さ 六 キュビト ， 第三のは 廣さ 七 キュビト であった． 宮の 外側には 壁に 段を 造って， 梁を 宮の 壁の 中に 差し ¿まないようにした．
  2. 宮は 建てる 時に， 石切り 場で 切り 整えた 石をもって 造ったので， 建てている 間は 宮のうちには， つちも， おのも， その 他の 鐵器もその 音が 聞えなかった．
  3. 下の 脇間の 入口は 宮の 右側にあり， 回り 階段によって 中の 脇間に， 中の 脇間から 第三の 脇間にのぼった．
  4. こうして 彼は 宮を 建て 終り， 香柏のたるきと 板をもって 宮の 天井を 造った．

  1. The word of the LORD came to Solomon:
  2. "As for this temple you are building, if you follow my decrees, carry out my regulations and keep all my commands and obey them, I will fulfill through you the promise I gave to David your father.
  3. And I will live among the Israelites and will not abandon my people Israel."
  4. So Solomon built the temple and completed it.
  5. He lined its interior walls with cedar boards, paneling them from the floor of the temple to the ceiling, and covered the floor of the temple with planks of pine.
  1. そこで 主の 言葉が ソロモン に 臨んだ，
  2. 「あなたが 建てるこの 宮については， もしあなたがわたしの 定めに 步み， おきてを 行い， すべての 戒めを 守り， それに 從って 步むならば， わたしはあなたの 父 ダビデ に 約束したことを 成就する．
  3. そしてわたしは イスラエル の 人¿のうちに 住み， わたしの 民 イスラエル を 捨てることはない 」．
  4. こうして ソロモン は 宮を 建て 終った．
  5. 彼は 香柏の 板をもって 宮の 壁の 內側を 張った． すなわち 宮の 床から 天井のたるきまで 香柏の 板で 張った． また， いとすぎの 板をもって 宮の 床を 張った．
  1. He partitioned off twenty cubits at the rear of the temple with cedar boards from floor to ceiling to form within the temple an inner sanctuary, the Most Holy Place.
  2. The main hall in front of this room was forty cubits long.
  3. The inside of the temple was cedar, carved with gourds and open flowers. Everything was cedar; no stone was to be seen.
  4. He prepared the inner sanctuary within the temple to set the ark of the covenant of the LORD there.
  5. The inner sanctuary was twenty cubits long, twenty wide and twenty high. He overlaid the inside with pure gold, and he also overlaid the altar of cedar.
  1. また 宮の 奧に 二十 キュビト の 室を 床から 天井のたるきまで 香柏の 板をもって 造った． すなわち 宮の 內に 至聖所としての 本堂を 造った．
  2. 宮すなわち 本殿の 前にある 拜殿は 長さ 四十 キュビト であった．
  3. 宮の 內側の 香柏の 板は， ひさごの 形と， ¿いた 花を 浮彫りにしたもので， みな 香柏の 板で， 石は 見えなかった．
  4. そして 主の 契約の 箱を 置くために， 宮の 內の 奧に 本殿を 設けた．
  5. 本殿は 長さ 二十 キュビト ， 幅二十 キュビト ， 高さ 二十 キュビト であって， 純金でこれをおおった． また 香柏の 祭壇を 造った．
  1. Solomon covered the inside of the temple with pure gold, and he extended gold chains across the front of the inner sanctuary, which was overlaid with gold.
  2. So he overlaid the whole interior with gold. He also overlaid with gold the altar that belonged to the inner sanctuary.
  3. In the inner sanctuary he made a pair of cherubim of olive wood, each ten cubits high.
  4. One wing of the first cherub was five cubits long, and the other wing five cubits--ten cubits from wing tip to wing tip.
  5. The second cherub also measured ten cubits, for the two cherubim were identical in size and shape.
  1. ソロモン は 純金をもって 宮の 內側をおおい， 本殿の 前に 金の 鎖をもって 隔てを 造り， 金をもってこれをおおった．
  2. また 金をもって 殘らず 宮をおおい， ついに 宮を 飾ることをことごとく 終えた． また 本殿に 屬する 祭壇をことごとく 金でおおった．
  3. 本殿のうちに オリブ の 木をもって 二つの ケルビム を 造った． その 高さはおのおの 十 キュビト ．
  4. その ケルブ の 一つの 翼の 長さは 五 キュビト ， またその ケルブ の 他の 翼の 長さも 五 キュビト であった． 一つの 翼の 端から 他の 翼の 端までは 十 キュビト あった．
  5. 他の ケルブ も 十 キュビト であって， 二つの ケルビム は 同じ 寸法， 同じ 形であった．
  1. The height of each cherub was ten cubits.
  2. He placed the cherubim inside the innermost room of the temple, with their wings spread out. The wing of one cherub touched one wall, while the wing of the other touched the other wall, and their wings touched each other in the middle of the room.
  3. He overlaid the cherubim with gold.
  4. On the walls all around the temple, in both the inner and outer rooms, he carved cherubim, palm trees and open flowers.
  5. He also covered the floors of both the inner and outer rooms of the temple with gold.
  1. この ケルブ の 高さは 十 キュビト ， かの ケルブ の 高さも 同じであった．
  2. ソロモン は 宮のうちの 奧に ケルビム をすえた． ケルビム の 翼を 伸ばしたところ， この ケルブ の 翼はこの 壁に 達し， かの ケルブ の 翼はかの 壁に 達し， 他の 二つの 翼は 宮の 中で 互に 觸れ 合った．
  3. 彼は 金をもってその ケルビム をおおった．
  4. 彼は 宮の 周圍の 壁に， 內外の 室とも 皆 ケルビム と， しゅろの 木と， ¿いた 花の 形の 彫り 物を 刻み，
  5. 宮の 床は， 內外の 室とも 金でおおった．
  1. For the entrance of the inner sanctuary he made doors of olive wood with five-sided jambs.
  2. And on the two olive wood doors he carved cherubim, palm trees and open flowers, and overlaid the cherubim and palm trees with beaten gold.
  3. In the same way he made four-sided jambs of olive wood for the entrance to the main hall.
  4. He also made two pine doors, each having two leaves that turned in sockets.
  5. He carved cherubim, palm trees and open flowers on them and overlaid them with gold hammered evenly over the carvings.
  1. 本殿の 入口には オリブ の 木のとびらを 造った． そのとびらの 上のかまちと 脇柱とで 五邊形をなしていた．
  2. その 二つのとびらも オリブ の 木であって， ソロモン はその 上に ケルビム と， しゅろの 木と， ¿いた 花の 形を 刻み， 金をもっておおった． すなわち ケルビム と， しゅろの 木の 上に 金を 着せた．
  3. こうして ソロモン はまた 拜殿の 入口のために オリブ の 木で 四角の 形に 脇柱を 造った．
  4. その 二つのとびらはいとすぎであって， 一つのとびらは 二つにたたむ 折り 戶であり， 他のとびらも 二つにたたむ 折り 戶であった．
  5. ソロモン はその 上に ケルビム と， しゅろの 木と， ¿いた 花を 刻み， 金をもって 彫り 物の 上を 形どおりにおおった．
  1. And he built the inner courtyard of three courses of dressed stone and one course of trimmed cedar beams.
  2. The foundation of the temple of the LORD was laid in the fourth year, in the month of Ziv.
  3. In the eleventh year in the month of Bul, the eighth month, the temple was finished in all its details according to its specifications. He had spent seven years building it.
  1. また 切り 石三かさねと， 香柏の 角材ひとかさねとをもって 內庭を 造った．
  2. 第四年の ジフ の 月に 主の 宮の 基をすえ，
  3. 第十一年の ブル の 月すなわち 八月に， 宮のすべての 部分が 設計どおりに 完成した． ソロモン はこれを 建てるのに 七年を 要した．
