- Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God--this is your spiritual act of worship.
- Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will.
- For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the measure of faith God has given you.
- Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function,
- so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.

- 兄弟たちよ． そういうわけで， 神のあわれみによってあなたがたに 勸める． あなたがたのからだを， 神に 喜ばれる， 生きた， 聖なる 供え 物としてささげなさい． それが， あなたがたのなすべき 靈的な 禮拜である．
- あなたがたは， この 世と 妥協してはならない． むしろ， 心を 新たにすることによって， 造りかえられ， 何が 神の 御旨であるか， 何が 善であって， 神に 喜ばれ， かつ 全きことであるかを， わきまえ 知るべきである．
- わたしは， 自分に 與えられた 惠みによって， あなたがたひとりびとりに 言う． 思うべき 限度を 越えて 思いあがることなく， むしろ， 神が 各自に 分け 與えられた 信仰の 量りにしたがって， 愼み 深く 思うべきである．
- なぜなら， 一つのからだにたくさんの 肢體があるが， それらの 肢體がみな 同じ ¿きをしてはいないように，
- わたしたちも 數は 多いが， キリスト にあって 一つのからだであり， また 各自は 互に 肢體だからである．

- We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If a man's gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to hisfaith.
- If it is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching, let him teach;
- if it is encouraging, let him encourage; if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously; if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully.
- Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.
- Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves.

- このように， わたしたちは 與えられた 惠みによって， それぞれ 異なった 賜物を 持っているので， もし， それが 預言であれば， 信仰の 程度に 應じて 預言をし，
- 奉仕であれば 奉仕をし， また 敎える 者であれば 敎え，
- 勸めをする 者であれば 勸め， 寄附する 者は 惜しみなく 寄附し， 指導する 者は 熱心に 指導し， 慈善をする 者は 快く 慈善をすべきである．
- 愛には 僞りがあってはならない． 惡は 憎み 退け， 善には 親しみ 結び，
- 兄弟の 愛をもって 互にいつくしみ， 進んで 互に 尊敬し 合いなさい．

- Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.
- Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.
- Share with God's people who are in need. Practice hospitality.
- Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.
- Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn.

- 熱心で， うむことなく， 靈に 燃え， 主に 仕え，
- 望みをいだいて 喜び， 患難に 耐え， 常に 祈りなさい．
- 貧しい 聖徒を 助け， 努めて 旅人をもてなしなさい．
- あなたがたを 迫害する 者を 祝福しなさい． 祝福して， のろってはならない．
- 喜ぶ 者と 共に 喜び， 泣く 者と 共に 泣きなさい．

- Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited.
- Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody.
- If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.
- Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: "It is mine to avenge; I will repay,"says the Lord.
- On the contrary: "If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head."

- 互に 思うことをひとつにし， 高ぶった 思いをいだかず， かえって 低い 者たちと 交わるがよい． 自分が 知者だと 思いあがってはならない．
- だれに 對しても 惡をもって 惡に 報いず， すべての 人に 對して 善を 圖りなさい．
- あなたがたは， できる 限りすべての 人と 平和に 過ごしなさい．
- 愛する 者たちよ． 自分で 復讐をしないで， むしろ， 神の 怒りに 任せなさい． なぜなら， 「主が 言われる． 復讐はわたしのすることである． わたし 自身が 報復する 」と 書いてあるからである．
- むしろ， 「もしあなたの 敵が 飢えるなら， 彼に 食わせ， かわくなら， 彼に 飮ませなさい． そうすることによって， あなたは 彼の 頭に 燃えさかる 炭火を 積むことになるのである 」．

- Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

- 惡に 負けてはいけない． かえって， 善をもって 惡に 勝ちなさい．
