욥기 23:1-26:14

 욥은 엘리바스의 답변에 탄식하면서, 하나님께서 결백한 자신의 호소에 답변해 주실 것을 간구하였다. 그리고 악인들의 최후에 관하여 말한 후, 그들을 놓아 두시는 하나님의 섭리에 의문을 표시하였다. 이에 대하여 빌닷은 하나님의 권능과 위엄을 말하면서 하나님 앞에서 의롭고 깨끗한 사람은 없다고 하였다.
  
  욥의 대답(23:1-24:25)    
 
  1. Then Job replied:
  2. "Even today my complaint is bitter; his hand is heavy in spite of my groaning.
  3. If only I knew where to find him; if only I could go to his dwelling!
  4. I would state my case before him and fill my mouth with arguments.
  5. I would find out what he would answer me, and consider what he would say.
  1. そこで ヨブ は 答えて 言った，
  2. 「きょうもまた， わたしのつぶやきは 激しく， ／彼の 手はわたしの 嘆きにかかわらず， 重い．
  3. どうか， 彼を 尋ねてどこで 會えるかを 知り， ／そのみ 座に 至ることができるように．
  4. わたしは 彼の 前にわたしの 訴えをならべ， ／口をきわめて 論議するであろう．
  5. わたしは， わたしに 答えられるみ 言葉を 知り， ／わたしに 言われる 所を 悟ろう．
  1. Would he oppose me with great power? No, he would not press charges against me.
  2. There an upright man could present his case before him, and I would be delivered forever from my judge.
  3. "But if I go to the east, he is not there; if I go to the west, I do not find him.
  4. When he is at work in the north, I do not see him; when he turns to the south, I catch no glimpse of him.
  5. But he knows the way that I take; when he has tested me, I will come forth as gold.
  1. 彼は 大いなる 力をもって， ／わたしと 爭われるであろうか， ／いな， かえってわたしを 顧みられるであろう．
  2. かしこでは 正しい 人は 彼と 言い 爭うことができる． そうすれば， わたしはわたしをさばく 者から ／永久に 救われるであろう．
  3. 見よ， わたしが 進んでも， 彼を 見ない． 退いても， 彼を 認めることができない．
  4. 左の 方に 尋ねても， 會うことができない． 右の 方に 向かっても， 見ることができない．
  5. しかし 彼はわたしの 步む 道を 知っておられる． 彼がわたしを 試みられるとき， ／わたしは 金のように 出て 來るであろう．
  1. My feet have closely followed his steps; I have kept to his way without turning aside.
  2. I have not departed from the commands of his lips; I have treasured the words of his mouth more than my daily bread.
  3. "But he stands alone, and who can oppose him? He does whatever he pleases.
  4. He carries out his decree against me, and many such plans he still has in store.
  5. That is why I am terrified before him; when I think of all this, I fear him.
  1. わたしの 足は 彼の 步みに 堅く 從った． わたしは 彼の 道を 守って 離れなかった．
  2. わたしは 彼のくちびるの 命令にそむかず， ／その 口の 言葉をわたしの 胸にたくわえた．
  3. しかし 彼は 變ることはない． だれが 彼をひるがえすことができようか． 彼はその 心の 欲するところを 行われるのだ．
  4. 彼はわたしのために 定めた 事をなし 遂げられる． そしてこのような 事が 多く 彼の 心にある．
  5. それゆえ， わたしは 彼の 前におののく． わたしは 考えるとき， 彼を 恐れる．
  1. God has made my heart faint; the Almighty has terrified me.
  2. Yet I am not silenced by the darkness, by the thick darkness that covers my face.
  1. 神はわたしの 心を 弱くされた． 全能者はわたしを 恐れさせられた．
  2. わたしは， やみによって 閉じこめられ， ／暗黑がわたしの 顔をおおっている．
 
 
  1. "Why does the Almighty not set times for judgment? Why must those who know him look in vain for such days?
  2. Men move boundary stones; they pasture flocks they have stolen.
  3. They drive away the orphan's donkey and take the widow's ox in pledge.
  4. They thrust the needy from the path and force all the poor of the land into hiding.
  5. Like wild donkeys in the desert, the poor go about their labor of foraging food; the wasteland provides food for their children.
  1. なにゆえ， 全能者はさばきの 時を ／定めておかれないのか． なにゆえ， 彼を 知る 者がその 日を 見ないのか．
  2. 世には 地境を 移す 者， ／群れを 奪ってそれを 飼う 者，
  3. みなしごのろばを 追いやる 者， ／やもめの 牛を 質に 取る 者，
  4. 貧しい 者を 道から 押しのける 者がある． 世の 弱い 者は 皆彼らをさけて 身をかくす．
  5. 見よ， 彼らは 荒野におる 野ろばのように 出て ¿き， ／野で 獲物を 求めて， その 子らの 食物とする．
  1. They gather fodder in the fields and glean in the vineyards of the wicked.
  2. Lacking clothes, they spend the night naked; they have nothing to cover themselves in the cold.
  3. They are drenched by mountain rains and hug the rocks for lack of shelter.
  4. The fatherless child is snatched from the breast; the infant of the poor is seized for a debt.
  5. Lacking clothes, they go about naked; they carry the sheaves, but still go hungry.
  1. 彼らは 畑でそのまぐさを 刈り， ／また 惡人のぶどう 畑で 拾い 集める．
  2. 彼らは 着る 物がなく， 裸で 夜を 過ごし， ／寒さに 身をおおうべき 物もない．
  3. 彼らは 山の 雨にぬれ， しのぎ 場もなく 岩にすがる．
  4. （みなしごをその 母のふところから 奪い， ／貧しい 者の 幼な 子を 質にとる 者がある． ）
  5. 彼らは 着る 物がなく， 裸で 步き， ／飢えつつ 麥束を 運び，
  1. They crush olives among the terraces ; they tread the winepresses, yet suffer thirst.
  2. The groans of the dying rise from the city, and the souls of the wounded cry out for help. But God charges no one with wrongdoing.
  3. "There are those who rebel against the light, who do not know its ways or stay in its paths.
  4. When daylight is gone, the murderer rises up and kills the poor and needy; in the night he steals forth like a thief.
  5. The eye of the adulterer watches for dusk; he thinks, 'No eye will see me,' and he keeps his face concealed.
  1. 惡人の オリブ ¿み 木の 中で 油をしぼり， ／酒ぶねを 踏んでも， かわきを 覺える．
  2. 町の 中から 死のうめきが 起り， ／傷ついた 者の 魂が 助けを 呼び 求める． しかし 神は 彼らの 祈を 顧みられない．
  3. 光にそむく 者たちがある． 彼らは 光の 道を 知らず， 光の 道にとどまらない．
  4. 人を 殺す 者は 暗いうちに 起き 出て ／弱い 者と 貧しい 者を 殺し， ／夜は 盜びととなる．
  5. 姦淫する 者の 目はたそがれを 待って， ／『だれもわたしを 見ていないだろう 』と 言い， ／顔におおう 物を 當てる．
  1. In the dark, men break into houses, but by day they shut themselves in; they want nothing to do with the light.
  2. For all of them, deep darkness is their morning ; they make friends with the terrors of darkness.
  3. "Yet they are foam on the surface of the water; their portion of the land is cursed, so that no one goes to the vineyards.
  4. As heat and drought snatch away the melted snow, so the grave snatches away those who have sinned.
  5. The womb forgets them, the worm feasts on them; evil men are no longer remembered but are broken like a tree.
  1. 彼らは 暗やみで 家をうがち， ／¿は 閉じこもって 光を 知らない．
  2. 彼らには 暗黑は 朝である． 彼らは 暗黑の 恐れを 友とするからだ．
  3. あなたがたは 言う， ／『彼らは 水のおもてにすみやかに 流れ 去り， ／その 受ける 分は 地でのろわれ， ／酒ぶねを 踏む 者はだれも ／彼らのぶどう 畑の 道に 行かない．
  4. ひでりと 熱さは 雪水を 奪い 去る， ／陰府が 罪を 犯した 者に 對するも， これと 同樣だ．
  5. 町の 廣場は 彼らを 忘れ， ／彼らの 名は 覺えられることなく， ／不義は 木の 折られるように 折られる 』と．
  1. They prey on the barren and childless woman, and to the widow show no kindness.
  2. But God drags away the mighty by his power; though they become established, they have no assurance of life.
  3. He may let them rest in a feeling of security, but his eyes are on their ways.
  4. For a little while they are exalted, and then they are gone; they are brought low and gathered up like all others; they are cut off like heads of grain.
  5. "If this is not so, who can prove me false and reduce my words to nothing?"
  1. 彼らは 子を 産まぬうまずめをくらい， ／やもめをあわれむことをしない．
  2. しかし 神はその 力をもって， ／强い 人¿を 生きながらえさせられる． 彼らは 生きる 望みのない 時にも 起きあがる．
  3. 神が 彼らに 安全を 與えられるので， ／彼らは 安らかである． 神の 目は 彼らの 道の 上にある．
  4. 彼らはしばし 高められて， いなくなり， ／ぜにあおいのように 枯れて 消えうせ， ／麥の 穗先のように 切り 取られる．
  5. もし， そうでないなら， ／だれがわたしにその 僞りを 證明し， ／わが 言葉のむなしいことを 示しうるだろうか 」．
 
  빌닷의 세번째 충고(25:1-26:14)    
 
  1. Then Bildad the Shuhite replied:
  2. "Dominion and awe belong to God; he establishes order in the heights of heaven.
  3. Can his forces be numbered? Upon whom does his light not rise?
  4. How then can a man be righteous before God? How can one born of woman be pure?
  5. If even the moon is not bright and the stars are not pure in his eyes,
  1. そこで シュヒ びと ビルダデ は 答えて 言った，
  2. 「大權と 恐れとは 神と 共にある． 彼は 高き 所で 平和を 施される．
  3. その 軍勢は 數えることができるか． 何物かその 光に 浴さないものがあるか．
  4. それで 人はどうして 神の 前に 正しくありえようか． 女から 生れた 者がどうして 淸くありえようか．
  5. 見よ， 月さえも 輝かず， ／星も 彼の 目には 淸くない．
  1. how much less man, who is but a maggot-- a son of man, who is only a worm!"
  1. うじのような 人， ／蟲のような 人の 子はなおさらである 」．
 
 
  1. Then Job replied:
  2. "How you have helped the powerless! How you have saved the arm that is feeble!
  3. What advice you have offered to one without wisdom! And what great insight you have displayed!
  4. Who has helped you utter these words? And whose spirit spoke from your mouth?
  5. "The dead are in deep anguish, those beneath the waters and all that live in them.
  1. そこで ヨブ は 答えて 言った，
  2. 「あなたは 力のない 者をどれほど 助けたかしれない． 氣力のない 腕をどれほど 救ったかしれない．
  3. 知惠のない 者をどれほど 敎えたかしれない． 悟りをどれほど 多く 示したかしれない．
  4. あなたはだれの 助けによって 言葉をだしたのか． あなたから 出たのはだれの 靈なのか．
  5. 亡靈は 水およびその 中に 住むものの 下に 震う．
  1. Death is naked before God; Destruction lies uncovered.
  2. He spreads out the northern skies over empty space; he suspends the earth over nothing.
  3. He wraps up the waters in his clouds, yet the clouds do not burst under their weight.
  4. He covers the face of the full moon, spreading his clouds over it.
  5. He marks out the horizon on the face of the waters for a boundary between light and darkness.
  1. 神の 前では 陰府も 裸である． 滅びの 穴もおおい 隱すものはない．
  2. 彼は 北の 天を 空間に 張り， ／地を 何もない 所に 掛けられる．
  3. 彼は 水を 濃い 雲の 中に 包まれるが， ／その 下の 雲は 裂けない．
  4. 彼は 月のおもてをおおい 隱して， ／雲をその 上にのべ，
  5. 水のおもてに 円を 描いて， ／光とやみとの 境とされた．
  1. The pillars of the heavens quake, aghast at his rebuke.
  2. By his power he churned up the sea; by his wisdom he cut Rahab to pieces.
  3. By his breath the skies became fair; his hand pierced the gliding serpent.
  4. And these are but the outer fringe of his works; how faint the whisper we hear of him! Who then can understand the thunder of his power?"
  1. 彼が 戒めると， 天の 柱は 震い， かつ 驚く．
  2. 彼はその 力をもって 海を 靜め， ／その 知惠をもって ラハブ を 打ち ¿き，
  3. その 息をもって 天を 晴れわたらせ， ／その 手をもって 逃げるへびを 突き 通される．
  4. 見よ， これらはただ 彼の 道の 端にすぎない． われわれが 彼について 聞く 所は ／いかにかすかなささやきであろう． しかし， その 力のとどろきに 至っては， ／だれが 悟ることができるか 」．
