욥기 37:1-38:41

 엘리후는 욥에게 자연을 통해 나타난 하나님의 위엄과 능력을 생각하라고 하였다. 그런데 그때 하나님께서 직접 개입하셔서 폭풍 가운데 욥에게 나타나셨다. 그리고 하나님은 욥에게 질문하시고 그의 답변을 요구하셨다.
  
  욥에게 말씀하시는 하나님(37:1-38:41)    
 
  1. "At this my heart pounds and leaps from its place.
  2. Listen! Listen to the roar of his voice, to the rumbling that comes from his mouth.
  3. He unleashes his lightning beneath the whole heaven and sends it to the ends of the earth.
  4. After that comes the sound of his roar; he thunders with his majestic voice. When his voice resounds, he holds nothing back.
  5. God's voice thunders in marvelous ways; he does great things beyond our understanding.
  1. これがためにわが 心もまたわななき， ／その 所からとび 離れる．
  2. 聞け， 神の 聲のとどろきを， ／またその 口から 出るささやきを．
  3. 彼はこれを 天が 下に 放ち， ／その 光を 地のすみずみまで 至らせられる．
  4. その 後， 聲とどろき， ／彼はそのいかめしい 聲をもって 鳴り 渡られる． その 聲の 聞える 時， ／彼はいなずまを 引きとめられない．
  5. 神はその 驚くべき 聲をもって 鳴り 渡り， ／われわれの 悟りえない 大いなる 事を 行われる．
  1. He says to the snow, 'Fall on the earth,' and to the rain shower, 'Be a mighty downpour.'
  2. So that all men he has made may know his work, he stops every man from his labor.
  3. The animals take cover; they remain in their dens.
  4. The tempest comes out from its chamber, the cold from the driving winds.
  5. The breath of God produces ice, and the broad waters become frozen.
  1. 彼は 雪に 向かって『地に 降れ 』と 命じ， ／夕立および 雨に 向かって『强く 降れ 』と 命じられる．
  2. 彼はすべての 人の 手を 封じられる． これはすべての 人にみわざを 知らせるためである．
  3. その 時， ¿は 穴に 入り， そのほらにとどまる．
  4. つむじ 風はそのへやから， ／寒さは 北風から 來る．
  5. 神のいぶきによって 氷が 張り， ／廣¿とした 水は 凍る．
  1. He loads the clouds with moisture; he scatters his lightning through them.
  2. At his direction they swirl around over the face of the whole earth to do whatever he commands them.
  3. He brings the clouds to punish men, or to water his earth and show his love.
  4. "Listen to this, Job; stop and consider God's wonders.
  5. Do you know how God controls the clouds and makes his lightning flash?
  1. 彼は 濃い 雲に 水氣を 負わせ， ／雲はそのいなずまを 散らす．
  2. これは 彼の 導きによってめぐる． 彼の 命じるところをことごとく ／世界のおもてに 行うためである．
  3. 神がこれらをこさせるのは， 懲らしめのため， ／あるいはその 地のため， ／あるいはいつくしみのためである．
  4. ヨブ よ， これを 聞け， ／立って 神のくすしきみわざを 考えよ．
  5. あなたは 知っているか， ／神がいかにこれらに 命じて， ／その 雲の 光を 輝かされるかを．
  1. Do you know how the clouds hang poised, those wonders of him who is perfect in knowledge?
  2. You who swelter in your clothes when the land lies hushed under the south wind,
  3. can you join him in spreading out the skies, hard as a mirror of cast bronze?
  4. "Tell us what we should say to him; we cannot draw up our case because of our darkness.
  5. Should he be told that I want to speak? Would any man ask to be swallowed up?
  1. あなたは 知っているか， 雲のつりあいと， ／知識の 全き 者のくすしきみわざを．
  2. 南風によって 地が 穩やかになる 時， ／あなたの 着物が 熱くなることを．
  3. あなたは 鑄た 鏡のように 堅い 大空を， ／彼のように 張ることができるか．
  4. われわれが 彼に 言うべき 事をわれわれに 敎えよ， ／われわれは 暗くて， 言葉をつらねることはできない．
  5. わたしは 語ることがあると ／彼に 告げることができようか， ／人は 滅ぼされることを 望むであろうか．
  1. Now no one can look at the sun, bright as it is in the skies after the wind has swept them clean.
  2. Out of the north he comes in golden splendor; God comes in awesome majesty.
  3. The Almighty is beyond our reach and exalted in power; in his justice and great righteousness, he does not oppress.
  4. Therefore, men revere him, for does he not have regard for all the wise in heart? "
  1. 光が 空に 輝いているとき， 風過ぎて 空を 淸めると， ／人¿はその 光を 見ることができない．
  2. 北から 黃金のような 輝きがでてくる． 神には 恐るべき 威光がある．
  3. 全能者は ――／われわれはこれを 見いだすことができない． 彼は 力と 公義とにすぐれ， ／正義に 滿ちて， これを 曲げることはない．
  4. それゆえ， 人¿は 彼を 恐れる． 彼はみずから 賢いと 思う 者を 顧みられない 」．
 
 
  1. Then the LORD answered Job out of the storm. He said:
  2. "Who is this that darkens my counsel with words without knowledge?
  3. Brace yourself like a man; I will question you, and you shall answer me.
  4. "Where were you when I laid the earth's foundation? Tell me, if you understand.
  5. Who marked off its dimensions? Surely you know! Who stretched a measuring line across it?
  1. この 時， 主はつむじ 風の 中から ヨブ に 答えられた，
  2. 「無知の 言葉をもって， ／神の 計りごとを 暗くするこの 者はだれか．
  3. あなたは 腰に 帶して， 男らしくせよ． わたしはあなたに 尋ねる， わたしに 答えよ．
  4. わたしが 地の 基をすえた 時， どこにいたか． もしあなたが 知っているなら 言え．
  5. あなたがもし 知っているなら， ／だれがその 度量を 定めたか． だれが 測りなわを 地の 上に 張ったか．
  1. On what were its footings set, or who laid its cornerstone-
  2. while the morning stars sang together and all the angels shouted for joy?
  3. "Who shut up the sea behind doors when it burst forth from the womb,
  4. when I made the clouds its garment and wrapped it in thick darkness,
  5. when I fixed limits for it and set its doors and bars in place,
  1. その 土台は 何の 上に 置かれたか． その 隅の 石はだれがすえたか．
  2. かの 時には 明けの 星は 相共に 歌い， ／神の 子たちはみな 喜び 呼ばわった．
  3. 海の 水が 流れいで， 胎內からわき 出たとき， ／だれが 戶をもって， これを 閉じこめたか．
  4. あの 時， わたしは 雲をもって 衣とし， ／黑雲をもってむつきとし，
  5. これがために 境を 定め， ／關および 戶を 設けて，
  1. when I said, 'This far you may come and no farther; here is where your proud waves halt'?
  2. "Have you ever given orders to the morning, or shown the dawn its place,
  3. that it might take the earth by the edges and shake the wicked out of it?
  4. The earth takes shape like clay under a seal; its features stand out like those of a garment.
  5. The wicked are denied their light, and their upraised arm is broken.
  1. 言った， 『ここまで 來てもよい， 越えてはならぬ， ／おまえの 高波はここにとどまるのだ 』と．
  2. あなたは 生れた 日からこのかた 朝に 命じ， ／夜明けにその 所を 知らせ，
  3. これに 地の 緣をとらえさせ， ／惡人をその 上から 振り 落させたことがあるか．
  4. 地は 印せられた 土のように 變り， ／衣のようにいろどられる．
  5. 惡人はその 光を 奪われ， ／その 高くあげた 腕は 折られる．
  1. "Have you journeyed to the springs of the sea or walked in the recesses of the deep?
  2. Have the gates of death been shown to you? Have you seen the gates of the shadow of death ?
  3. Have you comprehended the vast expanses of the earth? Tell me, if you know all this.
  4. "What is the way to the abode of light? And where does darkness reside?
  5. Can you take them to their places? Do you know the paths to their dwellings?
  1. あなたは 海の 源に 行ったことがあるか． 淵の 底を 步いたことがあるか．
  2. 死の 門はあなたのために 開かれたか． あなたは 暗黑の 門を 見たことがあるか．
  3. あなたは 地の 廣さを 見きわめたか． もしこれをことごとく 知っているならば 言え．
  4. 光のある 所に 至る 道はいずれか． 暗やみのある 所はどこか．
  5. あなたはこれをその 境に 導くことができるか． その 家路を 知っているか．
  1. Surely you know, for you were already born! You have lived so many years!
  2. "Have you entered the storehouses of the snow or seen the storehouses of the hail,
  3. which I reserve for times of trouble, for days of war and battle?
  4. What is the way to the place where the lightning is dispersed, or the place where the east winds are scattered over the earth?
  5. Who cuts a channel for the torrents of rain, and a path for the thunderstorm,
  1. あなたは 知っているだろう， ／あなたはかの 時すでに 生れており， ／またあなたの 日數も 多いのだから．
  2. あなたは 雪の 倉にはいったことがあるか． ひょうの 倉を 見たことがあるか．
  3. これらは 惱みの 時のため， いくさと 戰いの 日のため， ／わたしがたくわえて 置いたものだ．
  4. 光の 廣がる 道はどこか． 東風の 地に 吹き 渡る 道はどこか．
  5. だれが 大雨のために 水路を 切り 開き， ／いかずちの 光のために 道を 開き，
  1. to water a land where no man lives, a desert with no one in it,
  2. to satisfy a desolate wasteland and make it sprout with grass?
  3. Does the rain have a father? Who fathers the drops of dew?
  4. From whose womb comes the ice? Who gives birth to the frost from the heavens
  5. when the waters become hard as stone, when the surface of the deep is frozen?
  1. 人なき 地にも， 人なき 荒野にも 雨を 降らせ，
  2. 荒れすたれた 地をあき 足らせ， ／これに 若草をはえさせるか．
  3. 雨に 父があるか． 露の 玉はだれが 生んだか．
  4. 氷はだれの 胎から 出たか． 空の 霜はだれが 生んだか．
  5. 水は 固まって 石のようになり， 淵のおもては 凍る．
  1. "Can you bind the beautiful Pleiades? Can you loose the cords of Orion?
  2. Can you bring forth the constellations in their seasons or lead out the Bear with its cubs?
  3. Do you know the laws of the heavens? Can you set up God's dominion over the earth?
  4. "Can you raise your voice to the clouds and cover yourself with a flood of water?
  5. Do you send the lightning bolts on their way? Do they report to you, 'Here we are'?
  1. あなたは プレアデス の 鎖を 結ぶことができるか． オリオン の 綱を 解くことができるか．
  2. あなたは 十二宮をその 時にしたがって ／引き 出すことができるか． 北斗とその 子星を 導くことができるか．
  3. あなたは 天の 法則を 知っているか， ／そのおきてを 地に 施すことができるか．
  4. あなたは 聲を 雲にあげ， ／多くの 水にあなたをおおわせることができるか．
  5. あなたはいなずまをつかわして 行かせ， ／『われわれはここにいる 』と， ／あなたに 言わせることができるか．
  1. Who endowed the heart with wisdom or gave understanding to the mind ?
  2. Who has the wisdom to count the clouds? Who can tip over the water jars of the heavens
  3. when the dust becomes hard and the clods of earth stick together?
  4. "Do you hunt the prey for the lioness and satisfy the hunger of the lions
  5. when they crouch in their dens or lie in wait in a thicket?
  1. 雲に 知惠を 置き， ／霧に 悟りを 與えたのはだれか．
  2. だれが 知惠をもって 雲を 數えることができるか． だれが 天の 皮袋を 傾けて，
  3. ちりを 一つに 流れ 合わさせ， ／土くれを 固まらせることができるか．
  4. あなたはししのために 食物を 狩り， ／子じしの 食欲を 滿たすことができるか．
  5. 彼らがほら 穴に 伏し， ／林のなかに 待ち 伏せする 時， ／あなたはこの 事をなすことができるか．
  1. Who provides food for the raven when its young cry out to God and wander about for lack of food?
  1. からすの 子が 神に 向かって 呼ばわり， ／食物がなくて， さまようとき， ／からすにえさを 與える 者はだれか．
