욥기 39:1-40:24

 하나님께서는 자연 세계에 관한 여러 가지 질문을 하시면서 욥에게 대답을 요구하셨다. 그러자 욥은 자신은 미천하여 하나님께 대답할 수 없다고 고백하였다. 하나님께서는 하마에 대하여 설명하시면서 욥에게 교만을 버릴 것과 욥을 지으신 하나님의 절대 주권을 나타내셨다.
  
  하나님과 욥의 대화(39:1-40:24)    
 
  1. "Do you know when the mountain goats give birth? Do you watch when the doe bears her fawn?
  2. Do you count the months till they bear? Do you know the time they give birth?
  3. They crouch down and bring forth their young; their labor pains are ended.
  4. Their young thrive and grow strong in the wilds; they leave and do not return.
  5. "Who let the wild donkey go free? Who untied his ropes?
  1. あなたは 岩間のやぎが ／子を 産むときを 知っているか． あなたは 雌じかが 子を 産むのを 見たことがあるか．
  2. これらの 妊娠の 月を 數えることができるか． これらが 産む 時を 知っているか．
  3. これらは 身をかがめて 子を 産み， ／そのはらみ 子を 産みいだす．
  4. その 子は 强くなって， 野に 育ち， ／出て 行って， その 親のもとに 歸らない．
  5. だれが 野ろばを 放って， 自由にしたか． だれが 野ろばのつなぎを 解いたか．
  1. I gave him the wasteland as his home, the salt flats as his habitat.
  2. He laughs at the commotion in the town; he does not hear a driver's shout.
  3. He ranges the hills for his pasture and searches for any green thing.
  4. "Will the wild ox consent to serve you? Will he stay by your manger at night?
  5. Can you hold him to the furrow with a harness? Will he till the valleys behind you?
  1. わたしは 荒野をその 家として 與え， ／荒れ 地をそのすみかとして 與えた．
  2. これは 町の ¿ぎをいやしめ， ／御者の 呼ぶ 聲を 聞きいれず，
  3. 山を 牧場としてはせまわり， ／もろもろの 靑物を 尋ね 求める．
  4. 野牛は 快くあなたに 仕え， ／あなたの 飼葉おけのかたわらにとどまるだろうか．
  5. あなたは 野牛に 手綱をつけて ／うねを 步かせることができるか， ／これはあなたに 從って 谷を 耕すであろうか．
  1. Will you rely on him for his great strength? Will you leave your heavy work to him?
  2. Can you trust him to bring in your grain and gather it to your threshing floor?
  3. "The wings of the ostrich flap joyfully, but they cannot compare with the pinions and feathers of the stork.
  4. She lays her eggs on the ground and lets them warm in the sand,
  5. unmindful that a foot may crush them, that some wild animal may trample them.
  1. その 力が 强いからとて， ／あなたはこれに 賴むであろうか． またあなたの 仕事をこれに 任せるであろうか．
  2. あなたはこれにたよって， あなたの 穀物を ／打ち 場に 運び 歸らせるであろうか．
  3. だちょうは 威勢よくその 翼をふるう． しかしこれにはきれいな 羽と 羽毛があるか．
  4. これはその 卵を 土の 中に 捨て 置き， ／これを 砂のなかで 暖め，
  5. 足でつぶされることも， ／野の ¿に 踏まれることも 忘れている．
  1. She treats her young harshly, as if they were not hers; she cares not that her labor was in vain,
  2. for God did not endow her with wisdom or give her a share of good sense.
  3. Yet when she spreads her feathers to run, she laughs at horse and rider.
  4. "Do you give the horse his strength or clothe his neck with a flowing mane?
  5. Do you make him leap like a locust, striking terror with his proud snorting?
  1. これはその 子に 無情であって， ／あたかも 自分の 子でないようにし， ／その 苦勞のむなしくなるをも 恐れない．
  2. これは 神がこれに 知惠を 授けず， ／悟りを 與えなかったゆえである．
  3. これがその 身を 起して 走る 時には， ／馬をも， その 乘り 手をもあざける．
  4. あなたは 馬にその 力を 與えることができるか． 力をもってその 首を 裝うことができるか．
  5. あなたはこれをいなごのように， ／とばせることができるか． その 鼻あらしの 威力は 恐ろしい．
  1. He paws fiercely, rejoicing in his strength, and charges into the fray.
  2. He laughs at fear, afraid of nothing; he does not shy away from the sword.
  3. The quiver rattles against his side, along with the flashing spear and lance.
  4. In frenzied excitement he eats up the ground; he cannot stand still when the trumpet sounds.
  5. At the blast of the trumpet he snorts, 'Aha!' He catches the scent of battle from afar, the shout of commanders and the battle cry.
  1. これは 谷であがき， その 力に 誇り， ／みずから 出ていって 武器に 向かう．
  2. これは 恐れをあざ 笑って， 驚くことなく， ／つるぎをさけて 退くことがない．
  3. 矢筒はその 上に 鳴り， ／やりと 投げやりと， あいきらめく．
  4. これはたけりつ， 狂いつ， 地をひとのみにし， ／ ラッパ の 音が 鳴り 渡っても， 立ちどまることがない．
  5. これは ラッパ の 鳴るごとに ハアハア と 言い， ／遠くから 戰いをかぎつけ， ／隊長の 大聲およびときの 聲を 聞き 知る．
  1. "Does the hawk take flight by your wisdom and spread his wings toward the south?
  2. Does the eagle soar at your command and build his nest on high?
  3. He dwells on a cliff and stays there at night; a rocky crag is his stronghold.
  4. From there he seeks out his food; his eyes detect it from afar.
  5. His young ones feast on blood, and where the slain are, there is he."
  1. たかが 舞いあがり， その 翼をのべて 南に 向かうのは， ／あなたの 知惠によるのか，
  2. わしがかけのぼり， その 巢を 高い 所につくるのは， ／あなたの 命令によるのか．
  3. これは 岩の 上にすみかを 構え， ／岩のとがり， または 險しい 所におり，
  4. そこから 獲物をうかがう． その 目の 及ぶところは 遠い．
  5. そのひなもまた 血を 吸う． おおよそ 殺された 者のある 所には， ／これもそこにいる 」．
 
 
  1. The LORD said to Job:
  2. "Will the one who contends with the Almighty correct him? Let him who accuses God answer him!"
  3. Then Job answered the LORD :
  4. "I am unworthy--how can I reply to you? I put my hand over my mouth.
  5. I spoke once, but I have no answer-- twice, but I will say no more."
  1. 主はまた ヨブ に 答えて 言われた，
  2. 「非難する 者が 全能者と 爭おうとするのか， ／神と 論ずる 者はこれに 答えよ 」．
  3. そこで， ヨブ は 主に 答えて 言った，
  4. 「見よ， わたしはまことに 卑しい 者です， ／なんとあなたに 答えましょうか． ただ 手を 口に 當てるのみです．
  5. わたしはすでに 一度言いました， また 言いません， ／すでに 二度言いました， 重ねて 申しません 」．
  1. Then the LORD spoke to Job out of the storm:
  2. "Brace yourself like a man; I will question you, and you shall answer me.
  3. "Would you discredit my justice? Would you condemn me to justify yourself?
  4. Do you have an arm like God's, and can your voice thunder like his?
  5. Then adorn yourself with glory and splendor, and clothe yourself in honor and majesty.
  1. 主はまたつむじ 風の 中から ヨブ に 答えられた，
  2. 「あなたは 腰に 帶して， 男らしくせよ． わたしはあなたに 尋ねる， わたしに 答えよ．
  3. あなたはなお， わたしに 責任を 負わそうとするのか． あなたはわたしを 非とし， ／自分を 是としようとするのか．
  4. あなたは 神のような 腕を 持っているのか， ／神のような 聲でとどろきわたることができるか．
  5. あなたは 威光と 尊嚴とをもってその 身を 飾り， ／榮光と 華麗とをもってその 身を 裝ってみよ．
  1. Unleash the fury of your wrath, look at every proud man and bring him low,
  2. look at every proud man and humble him, crush the wicked where they stand.
  3. Bury them all in the dust together; shroud their faces in the grave.
  4. Then I myself will admit to you that your own right hand can save you.
  5. "Look at the behemoth, which I made along with you and which feeds on grass like an ox.
  1. あなたのあふるる 怒りを 漏らし， ／すべての 高ぶる 者を 見て， これを 低くせよ．
  2. すべての 高ぶる 者を 見て， これをかがませ， ／また 惡人をその 所で 踏みつけ，
  3. 彼らをともにちりの 中にうずめ， ／その 顔を 隱れた 所に 閉じこめよ．
  4. そうすれば， わたしもまた， あなたをほめて， ／あなたの 右の 手は ／あなたを 救うことができるとしよう．
  5. 河馬を 見よ， ／これはあなたと 同樣にわたしが 造ったもので， ／牛のように 草を 食う．
  1. What strength he has in his loins, what power in the muscles of his belly!
  2. His tail sways like a cedar; the sinews of his thighs are close-knit.
  3. His bones are tubes of bronze, his limbs like rods of iron.
  4. He ranks first among the works of God, yet his Maker can approach him with his sword.
  5. The hills bring him their produce, and all the wild animals play nearby.
  1. 見よ， その 力は 腰にあり， ／その 勢いは 腹の 筋にある．
  2. これはその 尾を 香柏のように 動かし， ／そのももの 筋は 互にからみ 合う．
  3. その 骨は 靑銅の 管のようで， ／その 肋骨は 鐵の 棒のようだ．
  4. これは 神のわざの 第一のものであって， ／これを 造った 者がこれにつるぎを 授けた．
  5. 山もこれがために 食物をいだし， ／もろもろの 野の ¿もそこに 遊ぶ．
  1. Under the lotus plants he lies, hidden among the reeds in the marsh.
  2. The lotuses conceal him in their shadow; the poplars by the stream surround him.
  3. When the river rages, he is not alarmed; he is secure, though the Jordan should surge against his mouth.
  4. Can anyone capture him by the eyes, or trap him and pierce his nose?
  1. これは 酸棗の 木の 下に 伏し， ／葦の 茂み， または 沼に 隱れている．
  2. 酸棗の 木はその 陰でこれをおおい， ／川の 柳はこれをめぐり 圍む．
  3. 見よ， たとい 川が 荒れても， これは 驚かない． ヨルダン がその 口に 注ぎかかっても， ／これはあわてない．
  4. だれが， かぎでこれを 捕えることができるか． だれが， わなでその 鼻を 貫くことができるか．
