에스겔

  앗수르가 신흥 바벨론 제국에 의해 무너져 가는 시기에 부름받은 에스겔은 바벨론의 포로된 백성들에게 완전하고 최종적인 회복을 제시하며 위로하고 있다. 같은 시대의 예레미야가 예루살렘에서 멸망을 선포하는 동안, 에스겔은 현재 이스라엘이 받고 있는 형벌이 개인의 죄로 인한 결과임을 강조하면서 이스라엘이 반드시 회복된다는 희망을 심어 주고 있다.

  1장부터 24장까지는 유다와 예루살렘에 대한 하나님의 심판에 대한 경고, 25장부터 32장까지는 이방에 대한 심판 선포, 33장부터 39장에서는 가까운 장래에 이루어질 이스라엘의 회복과 승리에 대한 예언, 그리고 40장부터 48장까지는 먼 미래에 이루어질 메시아 왕국에서 성취될 일을 선포하고 있다.

 

 

에스겔 1:1-3:27

 에스겔에게 환상을 보여 주신 하나님께서는 그를 선지자로 부르셔서 바벨론에서 포로 생활을 하는 이스라엘 백성에게 하나님의 말씀을 전하는 사명을 주셨다. 그리고 이 소명을 확증시키기 위해 그에게 두루마리를 받아 먹는 환상을 체험케 하셨다. 뿐만 아니라 하나님께서는 에스겔에게 능력을 주시고 이스라엘 민족의 파수꾼으로 삼으셨다.
  
  에스겔이 본 환상(1:1-1:28)    
 
  1. In the thirtieth year, in the fourth month on the fifth day, while I was among the exiles by the Kebar River, the heavens were opened and I saw visions of God.
  2. On the fifth of the month--it was the fifth year of the exile of King Jehoiachin-
  3. the word of the LORD came to Ezekiel the priest, the son of Buzi, by the Kebar River in the land of the Babylonians. There the hand of the LORD was upon him.
  4. I looked, and I saw a windstorm coming out of the north--an immense cloud with flashing lightning and surrounded by brilliant light. The center of the fire looked like glowing metal,
  5. and in the fire was what looked like four living creatures. In appearance their form was that of a man,
  1. 第三十年四月五日に， わたしが ケバル 川のほとりで， 捕囚の 人¿のうちにいた 時， 天が 開けて， 神の 幻を 見た．
  2. これは エホヤキン 王の 捕え 移された 第五年であって， その 月の 五日に，
  3. 主の 言葉が ケバル 川のほとり， カルデヤ びとの 地で ブジ の 子祭司 エゼキエル に 臨み， 主の 手がその 所で 彼の 上にあった．

  1. but each of them had four faces and four wings.
  2. Their legs were straight; their feet were like those of a calf and gleamed like burnished bronze.
  3. Under their wings on their four sides they had the hands of a man. All four of them had faces and wings,
  4. and their wings touched one another. Each one went straight ahead; they did not turn as they moved.
  5. Their faces looked like this: Each of the four had the face of a man, and on the right side each had the face of a lion, and on the left the face of an ox; each also had the face of an eagle.
  1. おのおの 四つの 顔をもち， またそのおのおのに 四つの 翼があった．
  2. その 足はまっすぐで， 足のうらは 子牛の 足のうらのようであり， みがいた 靑銅のように 光っていた．
  3. その 四方に， そのおのおのの 翼の 下に 人の 手があった． この 四つの 者はみな 顔と 翼をもち，
  4. 翼は 互に 連なり， 行く 時は 回らずに， おのおの 顔の 向かうところにまっすぐに 進んだ．
  5. 顔の 形は， おのおのその 前方に 人の 顔をもっていた． 四つの 者は 右の 方に， ししの 顔をもち， 四つの 者は 左の 方に 牛の 顔をもち， また 四つの 者は 後ろの 方に， わしの 顔をもっていた．
  1. Such were their faces. Their wings were spread out upward; each had two wings, one touching the wing of another creature on either side, and two wings covering its body.
  2. Each one went straight ahead. Wherever the spirit would go, they would go, without turning as they went.
  3. The appearance of the living creatures was like burning coals of fire or like torches. Fire moved back and forth among the creatures; it was bright, and lightning flashed out of it.
  4. The creatures sped back and forth like flashes of lightning.
  5. As I looked at the living creatures, I saw a wheel on the ground beside each creature with its four faces.
  1. 彼らの 顔はこのようであった． その 翼は 高く 伸ばされ， その 二つは 互に 連なり， 他の 二つをもってからだをおおっていた．

  5. わたしが 生きものを 見ていると， 生きもののかたわら， 地の 上に 輪があった． 四つの 生きものおのおのに， 一つずつの 輪である．
  1. This was the appearance and structure of the wheels: They sparkled like chrysolite, and all four looked alike. Each appeared to be made like a wheel intersecting a wheel.
  2. As they moved, they would go in any one of the four directions the creatures faced; the wheels did not turn about as the creatures went.
  3. Their rims were high and awesome, and all four rims were full of eyes all around.
  4. When the living creatures moved, the wheels beside them moved; and when the living creatures rose from the ground, the wheels also rose.
  5. Wherever the spirit would go, they would go, and the wheels would rise along with them, because the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels.
  1. もろもろの 輪の 形と 作りは， 光る 貴かんらん 石のようである． 四つのものは 同じ 形で， その 作りは， あたかも， 輪の 中に 輪があるようである．
  2. その 行く 時， 彼らは 四方のいずれかに 行き， 行く 時は 回らない．
  3. 四つの 輪には 輪緣と 斡とがあり， その 輪緣の 周圍は 目をもって 滿たされていた．

  1. When the creatures moved, they also moved; when the creatures stood still, they also stood still; and when the creatures rose from the ground, the wheels rose along with them, because the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels.
  2. Spread out above the heads of the living creatures was what looked like an expanse, sparkling like ice, and awesome.
  3. Under the expanse their wings were stretched out one toward the other, and each had two wings covering its body.
  4. When the creatures moved, I heard the sound of their wings, like the roar of rushing waters, like the voice of the Almighty, like the tumult of an army. When they stood still, they lowered their wings.
  5. Then there came a voice from above the expanse over their heads as they stood with lowered wings.
  1. 彼らが 行く 時は， これらも 行き， 彼らがとどまる 時は， これらもとどまり， 彼らが 地からあがる 時は， 輪もまたこれらと 共にあがる． 生きものの 靈が 輪の 中にあるからである．

  1. Above the expanse over their heads was what looked like a throne of sapphire, and high above on the throne was a figure like that of a man.
  2. I saw that from what appeared to be his waist up he looked like glowing metal, as if full of fire, and that from there down he looked like fire; and brilliant light surrounded him.
  3. Like the appearance of a rainbow in the clouds on a rainy day, so was the radiance around him. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD. When I saw it, I fell facedown, and I heard the voice of one speaking.
  1. 彼らの 頭の 上の 大空の 上に， サファイヤ のような 位の 形があった． またその 位の 形の 上に， 人の 姿のような 形があった．
  2. そしてその 腰とみえる 所の 上の 方に， 火の 形のような 光る 靑銅の 色のものが， これを 圍んでいるのを 見た． わたしはその 腰とみえる 所の 下の 方に， 火のようなものを 見た． そして 彼のまわりに 輝きがあった．

  에스겔의 소명(2:1-3:27)    
 
  1. He said to me, "Son of man, stand up on your feet and I will speak to you."
  2. As he spoke, the Spirit came into me and raised me to my feet, and I heard him speaking to me.
  3. He said: "Son of man, I am sending you to the Israelites, to a rebellious nation that has rebelled against me; they and their fathers have been in revolt against me to this very day.
  4. The people to whom I am sending you are obstinate and stubborn. Say to them, 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says.'
  5. And whether they listen or fail to listen--for they are a rebellious house--they will know that a prophet has been among them.
  1. 彼はわたしに 言われた， 「人の 子よ， 立ちあがれ， わたしはあなたに 語ろう 」．
  2. そして 彼がわたしに 語られた 時， 靈がわたしのうちに 入り， わたしを 立ちあがらせた． そして 彼のわたしに 語られるのを 聞いた．
  3. 彼はわたしに 言われた， 「人の 子よ， わたしはあなたを イスラエル の 民， すなわちわたしにそむいた 反逆の 民につかわす． 彼らもその 先祖も， わたしにそむいて 今日に 及んでいる．

  1. And you, son of man, do not be afraid of them or their words. Do not be afraid, though briers and thorns are all around you and you live among scorpions. Do not be afraid of what they say or terrified by them, though they are a rebellious house.
  2. You must speak my words to them, whether they listen or fail to listen, for they are rebellious.
  3. But you, son of man, listen to what I say to you. Do not rebel like that rebellious house; open your mouth and eat what I give you."
  4. Then I looked, and I saw a hand stretched out to me. In it was a scroll,
  5. which he unrolled before me. On both sides of it were written words of lament and mourning and woe.
  1. 人の 子よ， 彼らを 恐れてはならない． 彼らの 言葉をも 恐れてはならない． たといあざみといばらがあなたと 一緖にあっても， またあなたが， さそりの 中に 住んでも， 彼らの 言葉を 恐れてはならない． 彼らの 顔をはばかってはならない． 彼らは 反逆の 家である．
  2. 彼らが 聞いても， 拒んでも， あなたはただわたしの 言葉を 彼らに 語らなければならない． 彼らは 反逆の 家だから．
  3. 人の 子よ， わたしがあなたに 語るところを 聞きなさい． 反逆の 家のようにそむいてはならない． あなたの 口を 開いて， わたしが 與えるものを 食べなさい 」．

  1. And he said to me, "Son of man, eat what is before you, eat this scroll; then go and speak to the house of Israel."
  2. So I opened my mouth, and he gave me the scroll to eat.
  3. Then he said to me, "Son of man, eat this scroll I am giving you and fill your stomach with it." So I ate it, and it tasted as sweet as honey in my mouth.
  4. He then said to me: "Son of man, go now to the house of Israel and speak my words to them.
  5. You are not being sent to a people of obscure speech and difficult language, but to the house of Israel-
  1. 彼はわたしに 言われた． 「人の 子よ， あなたに 與えられたものを 食べなさい． この 卷物を 食べ， 行って イスラエル の 家に 語りなさい 」．
  2. そこでわたしが 口を 開くと， 彼はわたしにその 卷物を 食べさせた．
  3. そして 彼はわたしに 言われた， 「人の 子よ， わたしがあなたに 與えるこの 卷物を 食べ， これであなたの 腹を 滿たしなさい 」． わたしがそれを 食べると， それはわたしの 口に 甘いこと 蜜のようであった．

  1. not to many peoples of obscure speech and difficult language, whose words you cannot understand. Surely if I had sent you to them, they would have listened to you.
  2. But the house of Israel is not willing to listen to you because they are not willing to listen to me, for the whole house of Israel is hardened and obstinate.
  3. But I will make you as unyielding and hardened as they are.
  4. I will make your forehead like the hardest stone, harder than flint. Do not be afraid of them or terrified by them, though they are a rebellious house."
  5. And he said to me, "Son of man, listen carefully and take to heart all the words I speak to you.
  1. すなわちあなたがその 言葉を 知らない， 異國語の 舌の 重い 多くの 民につかわすのではない． もしわたしがあなたをそのような 民につかわしたら， 彼らはあなたに 聞いたであろう．
  2. しかし イスラエル の 家はあなたに 聞くのを 好まない． 彼らはわたしに 聞くのを 好まないからである． イスラエル の 家はすべて 厚顔でまた 强情である．
  3. 見よ， わたしはあなたの 顔を 彼らの 顔に 向かって 堅くし， あなたの 額を 彼らの 額に 向かって 堅くした．

  1. Go now to your countrymen in exile and speak to them. Say to them, 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says,' whether they listen or fail to listen."
  2. Then the Spirit lifted me up, and I heard behind me a loud rumbling sound--May the glory of the LORD be praised in his dwelling place!-
  3. the sound of the wings of the living creatures brushing against each other and the sound of the wheels beside them, a loud rumbling sound.
  4. The Spirit then lifted me up and took me away, and I went in bitterness and in the anger of my spirit, with the strong hand of the LORD upon me.
  5. I came to the exiles who lived at Tel Abib near the Kebar River. And there, where they were living, I sat among them for seven days-overwhelmed.
  1. そして 捕囚の 人¿， あなたの 民の 人¿の 所へ 行って， 彼らが 聞いても， 彼らが 拒んでも， 『主なる 神はこう 言われる 』と 彼らに 言いなさい 」．

  1. At the end of seven days the word of the LORD came to me:
  2. "Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; so hear the word I speak and give them warning from me.
  3. When I say to a wicked man, 'You will surely die,' and you do not warn him or speak out to dissuade him from his evil ways in order to save his life, that wicked man will die for his sin, and I will hold you accountable for his blood.
  4. But if you do warn the wicked man and he does not turn from his wickedness or from his evil ways, he will die for his sin; but you will have saved yourself.
  5. "Again, when a righteous man turns from his righteousness and does evil, and I put a stumbling block before him, he will die. Since you did not warn him, he will die for his sin. The righteous things he did will not be remembered, and I will hold you accountable for his blood.
  1. 七日過ぎて 後， 主の 言葉がわたしに 臨んだ，
  2. 「人の 子よ， わたしはあなたを イスラエル の 家のために 見守る 者とした． あなたはわたしの 口から 言葉を 聞くたびに， わたしに 代って 彼らを 戒めなさい．
  3. わたしが 惡人に『あなたは 必ず 死ぬ 』と 言うとき， あなたは 彼の 命を 救うために 彼を 戒めず， また 惡人を 戒めて， その 惡い 道から 離れるように 語らないなら， その 惡人は 自分の 惡のために 死ぬ． しかしその 血をわたしはあなたの 手から 求める．

  2. The hand of the LORD was upon me there, and he said to me, "Get up and go out to the plain, and there I will speak to you."
  3. So I got up and went out to the plain. And the glory of the LORD was standing there, like the glory I had seen by the Kebar River, and I fell facedown.
  4. Then the Spirit came into me and raised me to my feet. He spoke to me and said: "Go, shut yourself inside your house.
  5. And you, son of man, they will tie with ropes; you will be bound so that you cannot go out among the people.
  1. けれども， もしあなたが 義人を 戒めて， 罪を 犯さないように 語り， そして 彼が 罪を 犯さないなら， 彼は 戒めを 受けいれたゆえに， その 命を 保ち， あなたは 自分の 命を 救う 」．
  2. その 所で 主の 手がわたしの 上に 臨み， 彼はわたしに 言われた， 「立って， 平野に 出て 行きなさい． その 所でわたしはあなたに 語ろう 」．

  1. I will make your tongue stick to the roof of your mouth so that you will be silent and unable to rebuke them, though they are a rebellious house.
  2. But when I speak to you, I will open your mouth and you shall say to them, 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says.' Whoever will listen let him listen, and whoever will refuse let him refuse; for they are a rebellious house.
  1. わたしはあなたの 舌を 上あごにつかせ， あなたを 口のきけない 人にして， 彼らを 戒めることができないようにする． 彼らは 反逆の 家だからである．
  2. しかし， わたしがあなたと 語るときは， あなたの 口を 開く． あなたは 彼らに『主なる 神はこう 言われる 』と 言わなければならない． 聞く 者は 聞くがよい， 拒む 者は 拒むがよい． 彼らは 反逆の 家だからである．
