- And I saw an angel coming down out of heaven, having the key to the Abyss and holding in his hand a great chain.
- He seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil, or Satan, and bound him for a thousand years.
- He threw him into the Abyss, and locked and sealed it over him, to keep him from deceiving the nations anymore until the thousand years were ended. After that, he must be set free for a short time.
- I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony for Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or his image and had not received his mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
- (The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended.) This is the first resurrection.

- またわたしが 見ていると， ひとりの 御使が， 底知れぬ 所のかぎと 大きな 鎖とを 手に 持って， 天から 降りてきた．
- 彼は， 惡魔であり サタン である 龍， すなわち， かの 年を 經たへびを 捕えて 千年の 間つなぎおき，
- そして， 底知れぬ 所に 投げ ¿み， 入口を 閉じてその 上に 封印し， 千年の 期間が 終るまで， 諸國民を 惑わすことがないようにしておいた． その 後， しばらくの 間だけ 解放されることになっていた．
- また 見ていると， かず 多くの 座があり， その 上に 人¿がすわっていた． そして， 彼らにさばきの 權が 與えられていた． また， イエス のあかしをし 神の 言を 傳えたために 首を 切られた 人¿の 靈がそこにおり， また， ¿をもその 像をも 拜まず， その 刻印を 額や 手に 受けることをしなかった 人¿がいた． 彼らは 生きかえって， キリスト と 共に 千年の 間， 支配した．
- （それ 以外の 死人は， 千年の 期間が 終るまで 生きかえらなかった． ）これが 第一の 復活である．

- Blessed and holy are those who have part in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years.
- When the thousand years are over, Satan will be released from his prison
- and will go out to deceive the nations in the four corners of the earth--Gog and Magog--to gather them for battle. In number they are like the sand on the seashore.
- They marched across the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of God's people, the city he loves. But fire came down from heaven and devoured them.
- And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

- この 第一の 復活にあずかる 者は， さいわいな 者であり， また 聖なる 者である． この 人たちに 對しては， 第二の 死はなんの 力もない． 彼らは 神と キリスト との 祭司となり， キリスト と 共に 千年の 間， 支配する．
- 千年の 期間が 終ると， サタン はその 獄から 解放される．
- そして， 出て 行き， 地の 四方にいる 諸國民， すなわち ゴグ ， マゴグ を 惑わし， 彼らを 戰いのために 召集する． その 數は， 海の 砂のように 多い．
- 彼らは 地上の 廣い 所に 上ってきて， 聖徒たちの 陣營と 愛されていた 都とを 包圍した． すると， 天から 火が 下ってきて， 彼らを 燒き 盡した．
- そして， 彼らを 惑わした 惡魔は， 火と 硫黃との 池に 投げ ¿まれた． そこには， ¿もにせ 預言者もいて， 彼らは 世¿限りなく 日夜， 苦しめられるのである．

- Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. Earth and sky fled from his presence, and there was no place for them.
- And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books.
- The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what he had done.
- Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death.
- If anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

- また 見ていると， 大きな 白い 御座があり， そこにいますかたがあった． 天も 地も 御顔の 前から 逃げ 去って， あとかたもなくなった．
- また， 死んでいた 者が， 大いなる 者も 小さき 者も 共に， 御座の 前に 立っているのが 見えた． かずかずの 書物が 開かれたが， もう 一つの 書物が 開かれた． これはいのちの 書であった． 死人はそのしわざに 應じ， この 書物に 書かれていることにしたがって， さばかれた．
- 海はその 中にいる 死人を 出し， 死も 黃泉もその 中にいる 死人を 出し， そして， おのおのそのしわざに 應じて， さばきを 受けた．
- それから， 死も 黃泉も 火の 池に 投げ ¿まれた． この 火の 池が 第二の 死である．
- このいのちの 書に 名がしるされていない 者はみな， 火の 池に 投げ ¿まれた．
