- Why do the nations conspire and the peoples plot in vain?
- The kings of the earth take their stand and the rulers gather together against the LORD and against his Anointed One.
- "Let us break their chains," they say, "and throw off their fetters."
- The One enthroned in heaven laughs; the Lord scoffs at them.
- Then he rebukes them in his anger and terrifies them in his wrath, saying,

- なにゆえ， 國¿は ¿ぎ 立ち ／人¿はむなしく 聲をあげるのか．
- なにゆえ， 地上の 王は 構え， 支配者は 結束して ／主に 逆らい， 主の 油注がれた 方に 逆らうのか
- 「我らは， 枷をはずし ／¿を 切って 投げ 捨てよう 」と．
- 天を 王座とする 方は 笑い ／主は 彼らを 嘲り
- 憤って， 恐怖に 落とし ／怒って， 彼らに 宣言される．
