창세기 22:1-23:20

 하나님께서 아브라함의 믿음을 시험하시려고 이삭을 번제로 드릴 것을 명령하셨다. 아브라함이 이에 순종하여 모리아 산에서 이삭을 제물로 드리려 하자 하나님께서 그의 믿음을 인정하시고 준비된 수양을 드리게 하셨다. 사라가 죽은 후 아브라함은 그녀를 매장하기 위해 헷 족속 에브론으로부터 마므레 앞 막벨라 굴을 사서 소유 매장지로 삼고 사라를 장사했다.
  
  이삭을 제물로 드림(22:1-22:24)    
 
  1. Some time later God tested Abraham. He said to him, "Abraham!" "Here I am," he replied.
  2. Then God said, "Take your son, your only son, Isaac, whom you love, and go to the region of Moriah. Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains I will tell you about."
  3. Early the next morning Abraham got up and saddled his donkey. He took with him two of his servants and his son Isaac. When he had cut enough wood for the burnt offering, he set out for the place God had told him about.
  4. On the third day Abraham looked up and saw the place in the distance.
  5. He said to his servants, "Stay here with the donkey while I and the boy go over there. We will worship and then we will come back to you."
  1. これらのことの 後で， 神は アブラハム を 試された． 神が， 「アブラハム よ 」と 呼びかけ， 彼が， 「はい 」と 答えると，

  4. 三日目になって， アブラハム が 目を 凝らすと， 遠くにその 場所が 見えたので，
  5. アブラハム は 若者に 言った． 「お 前たちは， ろばと 一緖にここで 待っていなさい． わたしと 息子はあそこへ 行って， 禮拜をして， また 戾ってくる． 」
  1. Abraham took the wood for the burnt offering and placed it on his son Isaac, and he himself carried the fire and the knife. As the two of them went on together,
  2. Isaac spoke up and said to his father Abraham, "Father?" "Yes, my son?" Abraham replied. "The fire and wood are here," Isaac said, "but where is the lamb for the burnt offering?"
  3. Abraham answered, "God himself will provide the lamb for the burnt offering, my son." And the two of them went on together.
  4. When they reached the place God had told him about, Abraham built an altar there and arranged the wood on it. He bound his son Isaac and laid him on the altar, on top of the wood.
  5. Then he reached out his hand and took the knife to slay his son.
  1. アブラハム は， 燒き 盡くす 獻げ 物に 用いる 薪を 取って， 息子 イサク に 背負わせ， 自分は 火と 刃物を 手に 持った． 二人は 一緖に 步いて 行った．
  2. イサク は 父 アブラハム に， 「わたしのお 父さん 」と 呼びかけた． 彼が， 「ここにいる． わたしの 子よ 」と 答えると， イサク は 言った． 「火と 薪はここにありますが， 燒き 盡くす 獻げ 物にする 小羊はどこにいるのですか． 」
  3. アブラハム は 答えた． 「わたしの 子よ， 燒き 盡くす 獻げ 物の 小羊はきっと 神が 備えてくださる． 」二人は 一緖に 步いて 行った．
  4. 神が 命じられた 場所に 着くと， アブラハム はそこに 祭壇を 築き， 薪を ¿べ， 息子 イサク を 縛って 祭壇の 薪の 上に 載せた．
  5. そして アブラハム は， 手を 伸ばして 刃物を 取り， 息子を 屠ろうとした．
  1. But the angel of the LORD called out to him from heaven, "Abraham! Abraham!" "Here I am," he replied.
  2. "Do not lay a hand on the boy," he said. "Do not do anything to him. Now I know that you fear God, because you have not withheld from me your son, your only son."
  3. Abraham looked up and there in a thicket he saw a ram caught by its horns. He went over and took the ram and sacrificed it as a burnt offering instead of his son.
  4. So Abraham called that place The LORD Will Provide. And to this day it is said, "On the mountain of the LORD it will be provided."
  5. The angel of the LORD called to Abraham from heaven a second time
  1. そのとき， 天から 主の 御使いが， 「アブラハム ， アブラハム 」と 呼びかけた． 彼が， 「はい 」と 答えると，
  2. 御使いは 言った． 「その 子に 手を 下すな． 何もしてはならない． あなたが 神を 畏れる 者であることが， 今， 分かったからだ． あなたは， 自分の 獨り 子である 息子すら， わたしにささげることを 惜しまなかった． 」
  3. アブラハム は 目を 凝らして 見回した． すると， 後ろの 木の 茂みに 一匹の 雄羊が 角をとられていた． アブラハム は 行ってその 雄羊を 捕まえ， 息子の 代わりに 燒き 盡くす 獻げ 物としてささげた．
  4. アブラハム はその 場所を ヤ ― ウェ · イルエ （主は 備えてくださる ）と 名付けた． そこで， 人¿は 今日でも「主の 山に， 備えあり（イエラエ ）」と 言っている．
  5. 主の 御使いは， 再び 天から アブラハム に 呼びかけた．
  1. and said, "I swear by myself, declares the LORD, that because you have done this and have not withheld your son, your only son,
  2. I will surely bless you and make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as the sand on the seashore. Your descendants will take possession of the cities of their enemies,
  3. and through your offspring all nations on earth will be blessed, because you have obeyed me."
  4. Then Abraham returned to his servants, and they set off together for Beersheba. And Abraham stayed in Beersheba.
  5. Some time later Abraham was told, "Milcah is also a mother; she has borne sons to your brother Nahor:
  1. 御使いは 言った． 「わたしは 自らにかけて 誓う， と 主は 言われる． あなたがこの 事を 行い， 自分の 獨り 子である 息子すら 惜しまなかったので，
  2. あなたを 豊かに 祝福し， あなたの 子孫を 天の 星のように， 海邊の 砂のように 增やそう． あなたの 子孫は 敵の 城門を 勝ち 取る．
  3. 地上の 諸國民はすべて， あなたの 子孫によって 祝福を 得る． あなたがわたしの 聲に 聞き 從ったからである． 」
  4. アブラハム は 若者のいるところへ 戾り， 共に ベエル · シェバ へ 向かった． アブラハム は ベエル · シェバ に 住んだ．
  5. これらのことの 後で， アブラハム に 知らせが 屆いた． 「ミルカ もまた， あなたの 兄弟 ナホル との 間に 子供を 産みました．
  1. Uz the firstborn, Buz his brother, Kemuel (the father of Aram),
  2. Kesed, Hazo, Pildash, Jidlaph and Bethuel."
  3. Bethuel became the father of Rebekah. Milcah bore these eight sons to Abraham's brother Nahor.
  4. His concubine, whose name was Reumah, also had sons: Tebah, Gaham, Tahash and Maacah.
  1. 長男は ウツ ， その 弟は ブズ ， 次は アラム の 父 ケムエル ，
  2. それから ケセド ， ハゾ ， ピルダシュ ， イドラフ ， ベトエル です． 」

  아브라함의 매장지(23:1-23:20)    
 
  1. Sarah lived to be a hundred and twenty-seven years old.
  2. She died at Kiriath Arba (that is, Hebron) in the land of Canaan, and Abraham went to mourn for Sarah and to weep over her.
  3. Then Abraham rose from beside his dead wife and spoke to the Hittites. He said,
  4. "I am an alien and a stranger among you. Sell me some property for a burial site here so I can bury my dead."
  5. The Hittites replied to Abraham,
  1. サラ の 生涯は 百二十七年であった． これが サラ の 生きた 年數である．
  2. サラ は， カナン 地方の キルヤト · アルバ ， すなわち ヘブロン で 死んだ． アブラハム は， サラ のために 胸を 打ち， 嘆き 悲しんだ．
  3. アブラハム は 遺體の 傍らから 立ち 上がり， ヘト の 人¿に 賴んだ．
  4. 「わたしは， あなたがたのところに 一時滯在する 寄留者ですが， あなたがたが 所有する 墓地を 讓ってくださいませんか． 亡くなった 妻を 葬ってやりたいのです． 」
  5. ヘト の 人¿は アブラハム に 答えた． 「どうか，
  1. "Sir, listen to us. You are a mighty prince among us. Bury your dead in the choicest of our tombs. None of us will refuse you his tomb for burying your dead."
  2. Then Abraham rose and bowed down before the people of the land, the Hittites.
  3. He said to them, "If you are willing to let me bury my dead, then listen to me and intercede with Ephron son of Zohar on my behalf
  4. so he will sell me the cave of Machpelah, which belongs to him and is at the end of his field. Ask him to sell it to me for the full price as a burial site among you."
  5. Ephron the Hittite was sitting among his people and he replied to Abraham in the hearing of all the Hittites who had come to the gate of his city.
  1. 御主人， お 聞きください． あなたは， わたしどもの 中で 神に 選ばれた 方です． どうぞ， わたしどもの 最も 良い 墓地を 選んで， 亡くなられた 方を 葬ってください． わたしどもの 中には 墓地の 提供を 拒んで， 亡くなられた 方を 葬らせない 者など， 一人もいません． 」
  2. アブラハム は 改めて 國の 民である ヘト の 人¿に ¿¿をし，
  3. 賴んだ． 「もし， 亡くなった 妻を 葬ることをお 許しいただけるなら， ぜひ， わたしの 願いを 聞いてください． ツォハル の 子， エフロン にお 願いして，
  4. あの 方の 畑の 端にある マクペラ の 洞穴を 讓っていただきたいのです． 十分な 銀をお 支拂いしますから， 皆樣方の 間に 墓地を 所有させてください． 」
  5. エフロン はそのとき， ヘト の 人¿の 間に 座っていた． ヘト の 人 エフロン は， 町の 門の 廣場に 集まって 來たすべての ヘト の 人¿が 聞いているところで， アブラハム に 答えた．
  1. "No, my lord," he said. "Listen to me; I give you the field, and I give you the cave that is in it. I give it to you in the presence of my people. Bury your dead."
  2. Again Abraham bowed down before the people of the land
  3. and he said to Ephron in their hearing, "Listen to me, if you will. I will pay the price of the field. Accept it from me so I can bury my dead there."
  4. Ephron answered Abraham,
  5. "Listen to me, my lord; the land is worth four hundred shekels of silver, but what is that between me and you? Bury your dead."
  1. 「どうか， 御主人， お 聞きください． あの 畑は 差し 上げます． あそこにある 洞穴も 差し 上げます． わたしの 一族が 立ち 會っているところで， あなたに 差し 上げますから， 早速， 亡くなられた 方を 葬ってください． 」
  2. アブラハム は 國の 民の 前で ¿¿をし，
  3. 國の 民の 聞いているところで， エフロン に 賴んだ． 「わたしの 願いを 聞き 入れてくださるなら， どうか， 畑の 代金を 拂わせてください． どうぞ， 受け 取ってください． そうすれば， 亡くなった 妻をあそこに 葬ってやれます． 」
  4. エフロン は アブラハム に 答えた． 「どうか，
  5. 御主人， お 聞きください． あの 土地は 銀四百 シェケル のものです． それがあなたとわたしの 間で， どれほどのことでしょう． 早速， 亡くなられた 方を 葬ってください． 」
  1. Abraham agreed to Ephron's terms and weighed out for him the price he had named in the hearing of the Hittites: four hundred shekels of silver, according to the weight current among the merchants.
  2. So Ephron's field in Machpelah near Mamre--both the field and the cave in it, and all the trees within the borders of the field--was deeded
  3. to Abraham as his property in the presence of all the Hittites who had come to the gate of the city.
  4. Afterward Abraham buried his wife Sarah in the cave in the field of Machpelah near Mamre (which is at Hebron) in the land of Canaan.
  5. So the field and the cave in it were deeded to Abraham by the Hittites as a burial site.
  1. アブラハム はこの エフロン の 言葉を 聞き 入れ， エフロン が ヘト の 人¿が 聞いているところで 言った 値段， 銀四百 シェケル を 商人の 通用銀の 重さで 量り， エフロン に 渡した．
