사무엘하 15:24-17:14

 도피 길에 나선 다윗은 제사장들이 메고 온 언약궤를 예루살렘으로 귀환시키고, 후새를 보내 압살롬의 계략을 탐지하게 했다. 도피중에 다윗은 시바의 악한 궤계와 시므이의 저주로 수치와 시련을 겪었다. 후새는 다윗의 명령대로 압살롬에게 거짓 투항하여 그의 신임을 얻게 되었고, 결국 다윗을 해하려는 아히도벨의 악한 모략을 실패로 돌아가게 만들었다.
  
  다윗의 시련(15:24-16:14)    
 
  1. Zadok was there, too, and all the Levites who were with him were carrying the ark of the covenant of God. They set down the ark of God, and Abiathar offered sacrifices until all the people had finished leaving the city.
  2. Then the king said to Zadok, "Take the ark of God back into the city. If I find favor in the LORD's eyes, he will bring me back and let me see it and his dwelling place again.
  3. But if he says, 'I am not pleased with you,' then I am ready; let him do to me whatever seems good to him."
  4. The king also said to Zadok the priest, "Aren't you a seer? Go back to the city in peace, with your son Ahimaaz and Jonathan son of Abiathar. You and Abiathar take your two sons with you.
  5. I will wait at the fords in the desert until word comes from you to inform me."
  1. ツァドク をはじめ レビ 人全員が 神の 契約の 箱を 擔いで 來ており， 兵士全員が 都を 去るまで 神の 箱を 降ろしていた． アビアタル も 來ていた．
  2. 王は ツァドク に 言った． 「神の 箱は 都に 戾しなさい． わたしが 主の 御心に 適うのであれば， 主はわたしを 連れ 戾し， 神の 箱とその 住む 所とを 見せてくださるだろう．
  3. 主がわたしを 愛さないと 言われるときは， どうかその 良いと 思われることをわたしに 對してなさるように． 」
  4. 王は 祭司 ツァドク に 向かって 言葉を 續けた． 「分かったか． 平和に エルサレム に 戾ってもらいたい． 息子の アヒマアツ と アビアタル の 子 ヨナタン ， この 二人の 若者を 連れて 歸りなさい．
  5. 分かったか． わたしはあなたたちからの 知らせを 受けるまで， 荒れ 野の 渡し 場で 待っている． 」
  1. So Zadok and Abiathar took the ark of God back to Jerusalem and stayed there.
  2. But David continued up the Mount of Olives, weeping as he went; his head was covered and he was barefoot. All the people with him covered their heads too and were weeping as they went up.
  3. Now David had been told, "Ahithophel is among the conspirators with Absalom." So David prayed, "O LORD, turn Ahithophel's counsel into foolishness."
  4. When David arrived at the summit, where people used to worship God, Hushai the Arkite was there to meet him, his robe torn and dust on his head.
  5. David said to him, "If you go with me, you will be a burden to me.
  1. ツァドク と アビアタル は 神の 箱と 共に エルサレム に 戾り， そこにとどまった．
  2. ダビデ は 頭を 覆い， はだしで オリ ― ブ 山の 坂道を 泣きながら 上って 行った． 同行した 兵士たちも 皆， それぞれ 頭を 覆い， 泣きながら 上って 行った．
  3. アヒトフェル が アブサロム の 陰謀に 加わったという 知らせを 受けて， ダビデ は， 「主よ， アヒトフェル の 助言を 愚かなものにしてください 」と 祈った．
  4. 神を 禮拜する 頂上の 場所に 着くと， アルキ 人 フシャイ が ダビデ を 迎えた． 上着は 裂け， 頭に 土をかぶっていた．
  5. ダビデ は 彼に 言った． 「わたしと 一緖に 來てくれてもわたしの 重荷になるだけだ．
  1. But if you return to the city and say to Absalom, 'I will be your servant, O king; I was your father's servant in the past, but now I will be your servant,' then you can help me by frustrating Ahithophel's advice.
  2. Won't the priests Zadok and Abiathar be there with you? Tell them anything you hear in the king's palace.
  3. Their two sons, Ahimaaz son of Zadok and Jonathan son of Abiathar, are there with them. Send them to me with anything you hear."
  4. So David's friend Hushai arrived at Jerusalem as Absalom was entering the city.
  1. 都に 戾って， アブサロム にこう 言ってくれ． 『王よ， わたしはあなたの 僕です． 以前， あなたの 父上の 僕でしたが， 今からはあなたの 僕です 』と． お 前はわたしのために アヒトフェル の 助言を 覆すことができる．
  2. 都には 祭司 ツァドク と アビアタル もいて， お 前と 共に 行動する． 王宮で 耳にすることはすべて 祭司の ツァドク と アビアタル に 傳えてほしい．
  3. また， そこには 彼らの 二人の 息子も 共にいる． ツァドク の 息子 アヒマアツ ， アビアタル の 息子 ヨナタン だ． 耳にすることは 何でもこの 二人を 通してわたしのもとに 傳えるようにしてくれ． 」

  1. When David had gone a short distance beyond the summit, there was Ziba, the steward of Mephibosheth, waiting to meet him. He had a string of donkeys saddled and loaded with two hundred loaves of bread, a hundred cakes of raisins, a hundred cakes of figs and a skin of wine.
  2. The king asked Ziba, "Why have you brought these?" Ziba answered, "The donkeys are for the king's household to ride on, the bread and fruit are for the men to eat, and the wine is to refresh those who become exhausted in the desert."
  3. The king then asked, "Where is your master's grandson?" Ziba said to him, "He is staying in Jerusalem, because he thinks, 'Today the house of Israel will give me back my grandfather's kingdom.' "
  4. Then the king said to Ziba, "All that belonged to Mephibosheth is now yours." "I humbly bow," Ziba said. "May I find favor in your eyes, my lord the king."
  5. As King David approached Bahurim, a man from the same clan as Saul's family came out from there. His name was Shimei son of Gera, and he cursed as he came out.
  1. ダビデ が 山頂を 少し 下ったときに， メフィボシェト の 從者 ツィバ が， ダビデ を 迎えた． 彼は 二頭の 鞍を 置いたろばに， 二百個の パン ， 百房の 干しぶどう， 百個の 夏の 果物， ぶどう 酒一袋を 積んでいた．
  2. 王が， 「お 前はこれらのものをどうするのか 」と 尋ねると， ツィバ は， 「ろばは 王樣の 御家族の 乘用に， パン と 夏の 果物は 從者の 食用に， ぶどう 酒は 荒れ 野で 疲れた 者の 飮料に 持參いたしました 」と 答えた．

  4. 王は ツィバ に， 「それなら， メフィボシェト に 屬する 物はすべてお 前のものにしてよろしい 」と 言った． ツィバ は， 「お 禮申し 上げます． 主君である 王樣の 御厚意にあずかることができますように 」と 言った．
  5. ダビデ 王が バフリム にさしかかると， そこから サウル 家の 一族の 出で， ゲラ の 子， 名を シムイ という 男が 呪いながら 出て 來て，
  1. He pelted David and all the king's officials with stones, though all the troops and the special guard were on David's right and left.
  2. As he cursed, Shimei said, "Get out, get out, you man of blood, you scoundrel!
  3. The LORD has repaid you for all the blood you shed in the household of Saul, in whose place you have reigned. The LORD has handed the kingdom over to your son Absalom. You have come to ruin because you are a man of blood!"
  4. Then Abishai son of Zeruiah said to the king, "Why should this dead dog curse my lord the king? Let me go over and cut off his head."
  5. But the king said, "What do you and I have in common, you sons of Zeruiah? If he is cursing because the LORD said to him, 'Curse David,' who can ask, 'Why do you do this?' "
  1. 兵士， 勇士が 王の 左右をすべて 固めているにもかかわらず， ダビデ 自身と ダビデ 王の 家臣たち 皆に 石を 投げつけた．
  2. シムイ は 呪ってこう 言った． 「出て 行け， 出て 行け． 流血の 罪を 犯した 男， ならず 者．
  3. サウル 家のすべての 血を 流して 王位を 奪ったお 前に， 主は 報復なさる． 主がお 前の 息子 アブサロム に 王位を 渡されたのだ． お 前は 災難を 受けている． お 前が 流血の 罪を 犯した 男だからだ． 」
  4. ツェルヤ の 子 アビシャイ が 王に 言った． 「なぜあの 死んだ 犬に 主君， 王を 呪わせておかれるのですか． 行かせてください． 首を 切り 落としてやります． 」
  5. 王は 言った． 「ツェルヤ の 息子たちよ， ほうっておいてくれ． 主が ダビデ を 呪えとお 命じになったのであの 男は 呪っているのだろうから， 『どうしてそんなことをするのか 』と 誰が 言えよう． 」
  1. David then said to Abishai and all his officials, "My son, who is of my own flesh, is trying to take my life. How much more, then, this Benjamite! Leave him alone; let him curse, for the LORD has told him to.
  2. It may be that the LORD will see my distress and repay me with good for the cursing I am receiving today."
  3. So David and his men continued along the road while Shimei was going along the hillside opposite him, cursing as he went and throwing stones at him and showering him with dirt.
  4. The king and all the people with him arrived at their destination exhausted. And there he refreshed himself.
  1. ダビデ は 更に アビシャイ と 家臣の 全員に 言った． 「わたしの 身から 出た 子がわたしの 命をねらっている． ましてこれは ベニヤミン 人だ． 勝手にさせておけ． 主の 御命令で 呪っているのだ．
  2. 主がわたしの 苦しみを 御覽になり， 今日の 彼の 呪いに 代えて 幸いを 返してくださるかもしれない． 」
  3. ダビデ と 一行は 道を 進んだ． シムイ は ダビデ と 平行して 山腹を 進み， 呪っては 石を 投げ， 塵を 浴びせかけた．
  4. 王も 同行の 兵士も 皆， 疲れて 到着し， そこで 一息ついた．
 
  아히도벨과 후새의 모략(16:15-17:14)    
 
  1. Meanwhile, Absalom and all the men of Israel came to Jerusalem, and Ahithophel was with him.
  2. Then Hushai the Arkite, David's friend, went to Absalom and said to him, "Long live the king! Long live the king!"
  3. Absalom asked Hushai, "Is this the love you show your friend? Why didn't you go with your friend?"
  4. Hushai said to Absalom, "No, the one chosen by the LORD, by these people, and by all the men of Israel--his I will be, and I will remain with him.
  5. Furthermore, whom should I serve? Should I not serve the son? Just as I served your father, so I will serve you."
  1. アブサロム は イスラエル 人の 兵士を 全員率いて エルサレム に 入城し， アヒトフェル も 共にいた．
  2. ダビデ の 友， アルキ 人 フシャイ は アブサロム のもとに 來て， アブサロム に 向かって 言った． 「王樣万歲， 王樣万歲． 」
  3. アブサロム は フシャイ に 言った． 「お 前の 友に 對する 忠實はそのようなものか． なぜ， お 前の 友について 行かなかったのか． 」
  4. フシャイ は アブサロム に 答えた． 「いいえ． 主とここにいる 兵士と イスラエル の 全員が 選んだ 方にわたしは 從い， その 方と 共にとどまります．
  5. それでは， わたしは 誰に 仕えればよいのでしょう． 御子息以外にありえましょうか． お 父上にお 仕えしたようにあなたにお 仕えします． 」
  1. Absalom said to Ahithophel, "Give us your advice. What should we do?"
  2. Ahithophel answered, "Lie with your father's concubines whom he left to take care of the palace. Then all Israel will hear that you have made yourself a stench in your father's nostrils, and the hands of everyone with you will be strengthened."
  3. So they pitched a tent for Absalom on the roof, and he lay with his father's concubines in the sight of all Israel.
  4. Now in those days the advice Ahithophel gave was like that of one who inquires of God. That was how both David and Absalom regarded all of Ahithophel's advice.
  1. アブサロム は アヒトフェル に， 「どのようにすべきか， お 前たちで 策を 練ってくれ 」と 命じた．
  2. アヒトフェル は アブサロム に 言った． 「お 父上の 側女たちのところにお 入りになるのがよいでしょう． お 父上は 王宮を 守らせるため 側女たちを 殘しておられます． あなたがあえてお 父上の 憎惡の 的となられたと 全 イスラエル が 聞けば， あなたについている 者はすべて， 奮い 立つでしょう． 」
  3. アブサロム のために 屋上に 天幕が 張られ， 全 イスラエル の 注目の 中で， アブサロム は 父の 側女たちのところに 入った．
  4. そのころ， アヒトフェル の 提案は， 神託のように 受け 取られていた． ダビデ にとっても， アブサロム にとっても， アヒトフェル の 提案はそのようなものであった．
 
 
  1. Ahithophel said to Absalom, "I would choose twelve thousand men and set out tonight in pursuit of David.
  2. I would attack him while he is weary and weak. I would strike him with terror, and then all the people with him will flee. I would strike down only the king
  3. and bring all the people back to you. The death of the man you seek will mean the return of all; all the people will be unharmed."
  4. This plan seemed good to Absalom and to all the elders of Israel.
  5. But Absalom said, "Summon also Hushai the Arkite, so we can hear what he has to say."
  1. アヒトフェル は アブサロム に 言った． 「一万二千の 兵をわたしに 選ばせてください． 今夜のうちに 出發して ダビデ を 追跡します．
  2. 疲れて 力を 失っているところを 急襲すれば， 彼は 恐れ， 彼に 從っている 兵士も 全員逃げ 出すでしょう． わたしは 王一人を 討ち 取ります．
  3. 兵士全員をあなたのもとに 連れ 戾します． あなたのねらっておられる 人のもとに， かつてすべての 者が 歸ったように． そうすれば， 民全體が 平和になります． 」
  4. この 言葉は アブサロム にも， イスラエル の 長老全員の 目にも 正しいものと 映った．
  5. アブサロム は， 「アルキ 人 フシャイ も 呼べ． 彼の 言うことも 聞いてみよう 」と 言い，
  1. When Hushai came to him, Absalom said, "Ahithophel has given this advice. Should we do what he says? If not, give us your opinion."
  2. Hushai replied to Absalom, "The advice Ahithophel has given is not good this time.
  3. You know your father and his men; they are fighters, and as fierce as a wild bear robbed of her cubs. Besides, your father is an experienced fighter; he will not spend the night with the troops.
  4. Even now, he is hidden in a cave or some other place. If he should attack your troops first, whoever hears about it will say, 'There has been a slaughter among the troops who follow Absalom.'
  5. Then even the bravest soldier, whose heart is like the heart of a lion, will melt with fear, for all Israel knows that your father is a fighter and that those with him are brave.
  1. フシャイ が アブサロム のもとに 呼び 出された． アブサロム は 言った． 「これこれのことを アヒトフェル は 提言したが， そうすべきだと 思うか． 反對なら， お 前も 提言してみよ． 」
  2. フシャイ は アブサロム に， 「今回 アヒトフェル が 提案したことは 良いとは 思えません 」と 言い，
  3. こう 續けた． 「父上とその 軍がどれほど 勇敢かはご 存じのとおりです． その 上， 彼らは 子を 奪われた 野にいる 熊のように 氣が 荒くなっています． 父上は 戰術に 秀でた 方ですから， 兵と 共にはお 休みにならず，
  4. 今ごろは， 洞穴かどこかを 見つけて 身を 隱しておられることでしょう． 最初の 攻擊に 失敗すれば， それを 聞いた 者は， アブサロム に 從う 兵士が 打ち 負かされた， と 考え，
  5. 獅子のような 心を 持つ 戰士であっても， 弱氣になります． 父上も 彼に 從う 戰士たちも 勇者であることは， 全 イスラエル がよく 知っているからです．
  1. "So I advise you: Let all Israel, from Dan to Beersheba--as numerous as the sand on the seashore--be gathered to you, with you yourself leading them into battle.
  2. Then we will attack him wherever he may be found, and we will fall on him as dew settles on the ground. Neither he nor any of his men will be left alive.
  3. If he withdraws into a city, then all Israel will bring ropes to that city, and we will drag it down to the valley until not even a piece of it can be found."
  4. Absalom and all the men of Israel said, "The advice of Hushai the Arkite is better than that of Ahithophel." For the LORD had determined to frustrate the good advice of Ahithophel in order to bring disaster on Absalom.
  1. わたしはこう 提案いたします． まず 王の 下に 全 イスラエル を 集結させることです． ダン から ベエル · シェバ に 至る 全國から， 海邊の 砂のように 多くの 兵士を 集結させ， 御自身で 率いて 戰鬪に 出られることです．
  2. 隱れ 場の 一つにいる 父上を 襲いましょう． 露が 土に 降りるように 我¿が 彼に 襲いかかれば， 彼に 從う 兵が 多くても， 一人も 殘ることはないでしょう．
  3. 父上がどこかの 町に 身を 寄せるなら， 全 イスラエル でその 町に ¿をかけ， 引いて 行って 川にほうり ¿み， 小石一つ 殘らなくしようではありませんか． 」
  4. アブサロム も， どの イスラエル 人も， アルキ 人 フシャイ の 提案が アヒトフェル の 提案にまさると 思った． アヒトフェル の 優れた 提案が 捨てられ， アブサロム に 災いがくだることを 主が 定められたからである．
