사도행전 4:1-4:37

 예수님의 죽음과 부활을 증거하던 베드로와 요한은 유대 지도자들에 의해 체포되어 투옥된 후 공회에서 심문과 협박을 받고 놓여났다. 이러한 핍박 속에서도 초대교회는 더욱 단합하여 기도함으로써 왕성해져 갔다.
  
  체포된 베드로와 요한(4:1-4:31)    
 
  1. The priests and the captain of the temple guard and the Sadducees came up to Peter and John while they were speaking to the people.
  2. They were greatly disturbed because the apostles were teaching the people and proclaiming in Jesus the resurrection of the dead.
  3. They seized Peter and John, and because it was evening, they put them in jail until the next day.
  4. But many who heard the message believed, and the number of men grew to about five thousand.
  5. The next day the rulers, elders and teachers of the law met in Jerusalem.
  1. ペトロ と ヨハネ が 民衆に 話をしていると， 祭司たち， 神殿守衛長， サドカイ 派の 人¿が 近づいて 來た．
  2. 二人が 民衆に 敎え， イエス に 起こった 死者の 中からの 復活を 宣べ 傳えているので， 彼らはいらだち，
  3. 二人を 捕らえて 翌日まで 牢に 入れた． 旣に 日暮れだったからである．
  4. しかし， 二人の 語った 言葉を 聞いて 信じた 人は 多く， 男の 數が 五千人ほどになった．
  5. 次の 日， 議員， 長老， 律法學者たちが エルサレム に 集まった．
  1. Annas the high priest was there, and so were Caiaphas, John, Alexander and the other men of the high priest's family.
  2. They had Peter and John brought before them and began to question them: "By what power or what name did you do this?"
  3. Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them: "Rulers and elders of the people!
  4. If we are being called to account today for an act of kindness shown to a cripple and are asked how he was healed,
  5. then know this, you and all the people of Israel: It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified but whom God raised from the dead, that this man stands before you healed.
  1. 大祭司 アンナス と カイアファ と ヨハネ と アレクサンドロ と 大祭司一族が 集まった．
  2. そして， 使徒たちを 眞ん 中に 立たせて， 「お 前たちは 何の 權威によって， だれの 名によってああいうことをしたのか 」と 尋問した．
  3. そのとき， ペトロ は 聖靈に 滿たされて 言った． 「民の 議員， また 長老の 方¿，
  4. 今日わたしたちが 取り 調べを 受けているのは， 病人に 對する 善い 行いと， その 人が 何によっていやされたかということについてであるならば，
  5. あなたがたも イスラエル の 民全體も 知っていただきたい． この 人が 良くなって， 皆さんの 前に 立っているのは， あなたがたが 十字架につけて 殺し， 神が 死者の 中から 復活させられたあの ナザレ の 人， イエス · キリスト の 名によるものです．
  1. He is " 'the stone you builders rejected, which has become the capstone.'
  2. Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved."
  3. When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus.
  4. But since they could see the man who had been healed standing there with them, there was nothing they could say.
  5. So they ordered them to withdraw from the Sanhedrin and then conferred together.
  1. この 方こそ， ／『あなたがた 家を 建てる 者に 捨てられたが， ／隅の 親石となった 石 』／です．
  2. ほかのだれによっても， 救いは 得られません． わたしたちが 救われるべき 名は， 天下にこの 名のほか， 人間には 與えられていないのです． 」
  3. 議員や 他の 者たちは， ペトロ と ヨハネ の 大膽な 態度を 見， しかも 二人が 無學な 普通の 人であることを 知って 驚き， また， イエス と 一緖にいた 者であるということも 分かった．
  4. しかし， 足をいやしていただいた 人がそばに 立っているのを 見ては， ひと 言も 言い 返せなかった．
  5. そこで， 二人に 議場を 去るように 命じてから， 相談して，
  1. "What are we going to do with these men?" they asked. "Everybody living in Jerusalem knows they have done an outstanding miracle, and we cannot deny it.
  2. But to stop this thing from spreading any further among the people, we must warn these men to speak no longer to anyone in this name."
  3. Then they called them in again and commanded them not to speak or teach at all in the name of Jesus.
  4. But Peter and John replied, "Judge for yourselves whether it is right in God's sight to obey you rather than God.
  5. For we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard."
  1. 言った． 「あの 者たちをどうしたらよいだろう． 彼らが 行った 目覺ましいしるしは， エルサレム に 住むすべての 人に 知れ 渡っており， それを 否定することはできない．
  2. しかし， このことがこれ 以上民衆の 間に 廣まらないように， 今後あの 名によってだれにも 話すなと 脅しておこう． 」
  3. そして， 二人を 呼び 戾し， 決して イエス の 名によって 話したり， 敎えたりしないようにと 命令した．
  4. しかし， ペトロ と ヨハネ は 答えた． 「神に 從わないであなたがたに 從うことが， 神の 前に 正しいかどうか， 考えてください．
  5. わたしたちは， 見たことや 聞いたことを 話さないではいられないのです． 」
  1. After further threats they let them go. They could not decide how to punish them, because all the people were praising God for what had happened.
  2. For the man who was miraculously healed was over forty years old.
  3. On their release, Peter and John went back to their own people and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said to them.
  4. When they heard this, they raised their voices together in prayer to God. "Sovereign Lord," they said, "you made the heaven and the earth and the sea, and everything in them.
  5. You spoke by the Holy Spirit through the mouth of your servant, our father David: " 'Why do the nations rage and the peoples plot in vain?
  1. 議員や 他の 者たちは， 二人を 更に 脅してから 釋放した． 皆の 者がこの 出來事について 神を 贊美していたので， 民衆を 恐れて， どう 處罰してよいか 分からなかったからである．
  2. このしるしによっていやしていただいた 人は， 四十歲を 過ぎていた．
  3. さて 二人は， 釋放されると 仲間のところへ 行き， 祭司長たちや 長老たちの 言ったことを 殘らず 話した．
  4. これを 聞いた 人たちは 心を 一つにし， 神に 向かって 聲をあげて 言った． 「主よ， あなたは 天と 地と 海と， そして， そこにあるすべてのものを 造られた 方です．
  5. あなたの 僕であり， また， わたしたちの 父である ダビデ の 口を 通し， あなたは 聖靈によってこうお 告げになりました． 『なぜ， 異邦人は ¿ぎ 立ち， ／諸國の 民はむなしいことを 企てるのか．
  1. The kings of the earth take their stand and the rulers gather together against the Lord and against his Anointed One.'
  2. Indeed Herod and Pontius Pilate met together with the Gentiles and the people of Israel in this city to conspire against your holy servant Jesus, whom you anointed.
  3. They did what your power and will had decided beforehand should happen.
  4. Now, Lord, consider their threats and enable your servants to speak your word with great boldness.
  5. Stretch out your hand to heal and perform miraculous signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus."
  1. 地上の 王たちはこぞって 立ち 上がり， ／指導者たちは 團結して， ／主とその メシア に 逆らう． 』
  2. 事實， この 都で ヘロデ と ポンティオ · ピラト は， 異邦人や イスラエル の 民と 一緖になって， あなたが 油を 注がれた 聖なる 僕 イエス に 逆らいました．
  3. そして， 實現するようにと 御手と 御心によってあらかじめ 定められていたことを， すべて 行ったのです．
  4. 主よ， 今こそ 彼らの 脅しに 目を 留め， あなたの 僕たちが， 思い 切って 大膽に 御言葉を 語ることができるようにしてください．
  5. どうか， 御手を 伸ばし 聖なる 僕 イエス の 名によって， 病氣がいやされ， しるしと 不思議な 業が 行われるようにしてください． 」
  1. After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.
  1. 祈りが 終わると， 一同の 集まっていた 場所が ¿れ 動き， 皆， 聖靈に 滿たされて， 大膽に 神の 言葉を 語りだした．
 
  초대교회의 공동 생활(4:32-4:37)    
 
  1. All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of his possessions was his own, but they shared everything they had.
  2. With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and much grace was upon them all.
  3. There were no needy persons among them. For from time to time those who owned lands or houses sold them, brought the money from the sales
  4. and put it at the apostles' feet, and it was distributed to anyone as he had need.
  5. Joseph, a Levite from Cyprus, whom the apostles called Barnabas (which means Son of Encouragement),
  1. 信じた 人¿の 群れは 心も 思いも 一つにし， 一人として 持ち 物を 自分のものだと 言う 者はなく， すべてを 共有していた．
  2. 使徒たちは， 大いなる 力をもって 主 イエス の 復活を 證しし， 皆， 人¿から 非常に 好意を 持たれていた．
  3. 信者の 中には， 一人も 貧しい 人がいなかった． 土地や 家を 持っている 人が 皆， それを 賣っては 代金を 持ち 寄り，
  4. 使徒たちの 足もとに 置き， その 金は 必要に 應じて， おのおのに 分配されたからである．
  5. たとえば， レビ 族の 人で， 使徒たちから バルナバ ――「慰めの 子 」という 意味 ――と 呼ばれていた， キプロス 島生まれの ヨセフ も，
  1. sold a field he owned and brought the money and put it at the apostles' feet.
  1. 持っていた 畑を 賣り， その 代金を 持って 來て 使徒たちの 足もとに 置いた．
