열왕기상 5:1-6:38

 하나님의 섭리하심으로 솔로몬은 두로 왕 히람과 언약을 맺고 성전 건축에 필요한 자재와 기술자를 확보하였다. 그는 인력을 효과적으로 투입하여 7년 만에 성전을 완공하였다.
  
  성전 건축 준비(5:1-5:18)    
 
  1. When Hiram king of Tyre heard that Solomon had been anointed king to succeed his father David, he sent his envoys to Solomon, because he had always been on friendly terms with David.
  2. Solomon sent back this message to Hiram:
  3. "You know that because of the wars waged against my father David from all sides, he could not build a temple for the Name of the LORD his God until the LORD put his enemies under his feet.
  4. But now the LORD my God has given me rest on every side, and there is no adversary or disaster.
  5. I intend, therefore, to build a temple for the Name of the LORD my God, as the LORD told my father David, when he said, 'Your son whom I will put on the throne in your place will build the temple for my Name.'
  1. ソロモン は， ユ ― フラテス 川から ペリシテ 人の 地方， 更に エジプト との 國境に 至るまで， すべての 國を 支配した． 國¿は ソロモン の 在世中， 貢ぎ 物を 納めて 彼に 服從した．

  1. "So give orders that cedars of Lebanon be cut for me. My men will work with yours, and I will pay you for your men whatever wages you set. You know that we have no one so skilled in felling timber as the Sidonians."
  2. When Hiram heard Solomon's message, he was greatly pleased and said, "Praise be to the LORD today, for he has given David a wise son to rule over this great nation."
  3. So Hiram sent word to Solomon: "I have received the message you sent me and will do all you want in providing the cedar and pine logs.
  4. My men will haul them down from Lebanon to the sea, and I will float them in rafts by sea to the place you specify. There I will separate them and you can take them away. And you are to grant my wish by providing food for my royal household."
  5. In this way Hiram kept Solomon supplied with all the cedar and pine logs he wanted,

  1. and Solomon gave Hiram twenty thousand cors of wheat as food for his household, in addition to twenty thousand baths , of pressed olive oil. Solomon continued to do this for Hiram year after year.
  2. The LORD gave Solomon wisdom, just as he had promised him. There were peaceful relations between Hiram and Solomon, and the two of them made a treaty.
  3. King Solomon conscripted laborers from all Israel--thirty thousand men.
  4. He sent them off to Lebanon in shifts of ten thousand a month, so that they spent one month in Lebanon and two months at home. Adoniram was in charge of the forced labor.
  5. Solomon had seventy thousand carriers and eighty thousand stonecutters in the hills,

  1. as well as thirty-three hundred foremen who supervised the project and directed the workmen.
  2. At the king's command they removed from the quarry large blocks of quality stone to provide a foundation of dressed stone for the temple.
  3. The craftsmen of Solomon and Hiram and the men of Gebal cut and prepared the timber and stone for the building of the temple.
  1. ソロモン も 使節を ヒラム のもとに 遣わして， こう 言わせた．
  2. 「ご 存じのとおり， 父 ダビデ は， 主が 周圍の 敵を 彼の 足の 下に 置かれるまで 戰いに 明け 暮れ， その 神なる 主の 御名のために 神殿を 建てることができませんでした．
  3. 今や， わたしの 神， 主は 周圍の 者たちからわたしを 守って， 安らぎを 與えてくださり， 敵對する 者も， 災いをもたらす 者もいません．
 
  성전 건축(6:1-6:38)    
 
  1. In the four hundred and eightieth year after the Israelites had come out of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon's reign over Israel, in the month of Ziv, the second month, he began to build the temple of the LORD.
  2. The temple that King Solomon built for the LORD was sixty cubits long, twenty wide and thirty high.
  3. The portico at the front of the main hall of the temple extended the width of the temple, that is twenty cubits, and projected ten cubits from the front of the temple.
  4. He made narrow clerestory windows in the temple.
  5. Against the walls of the main hall and inner sanctuary he built a structure around the building, in which there were side rooms.
  1. ソロモン 王が 主の 神殿の 建築に 着手したのは， イスラエル 人が エジプト の 地を 出てから 四百八十年目， ソロモン が イスラエル の 王になってから 四年目の ジウ の 月， すなわち 第二の 月であった．
  2. ソロモン 王が 主のために 築いた 神殿は， 奧行きが 六十 アンマ ， 間口が 二十 アンマ ， 高さが 三十 アンマ であった．
  3. 神殿の 外陣の 前にある 前廊は， 奧行きが 神殿の 間口と 同樣に 二十 アンマ であり， 間口は 神殿の 前で 十 アンマ であった．
  4. 神殿には 格子作りの 窓を 付けた．
  5. 神殿の 壁の 周圍には 脇間， すなわち 外陣と 內陣のある 神殿の 壁の 周圍に 取り 圍むように 脇廊を 造った．
  1. The lowest floor was five cubits wide, the middle floor six cubits and the third floor seven. He made offset ledges around the outside of the temple so that nothing would be inserted into the temple walls.
  2. In building the temple, only blocks dressed at the quarry were used, and no hammer, chisel or any other iron tool was heard at the temple site while it was being built.
  3. The entrance to the lowest floor was on the south side of the temple; a stairway led up to the middle level and from there to the third.
  4. So he built the temple and completed it, roofing it with beams and cedar planks.
  5. And he built the side rooms all along the temple. The height of each was five cubits, and they were attached to the temple by beams of cedar.
  1. この 脇間の 幅は， 一階五 アンマ ， 二階六 アンマ ， 三階七 アンマ であった． それは， 脇間が 下になるほど 狹くなるようにして， 建物の 壁に 梁をはめ ¿まずに 濟むようにしたからである．

  3. 二階の 脇廊に 通じる 入り 口は， 神殿の 右側にあり， らせん 階段で 二階へ， 更に 二階から 三階へと 上がるように 造られていた．
  4. ソロモン は 神殿の 建築を 完了するにあたり， レバノン 杉の 梁と 板で 神殿の 天井を 造った．
  5. なお， 神殿全體に 付けられた 脇間は， 各階の 高さが 五 アンマ であり， レバノン 杉の 材木で 神殿に 固定された．
  1. The word of the LORD came to Solomon:
  2. "As for this temple you are building, if you follow my decrees, carry out my regulations and keep all my commands and obey them, I will fulfill through you the promise I gave to David your father.
  3. And I will live among the Israelites and will not abandon my people Israel."
  4. So Solomon built the temple and completed it.
  5. He lined its interior walls with cedar boards, paneling them from the floor of the temple to the ceiling, and covered the floor of the temple with planks of pine.
  1. そのとき， 主の 言葉が ソロモン に 臨んだ．
  2. 「あなたが 建てている 神殿について， もしあなたがわたしの ¿に 從って 步み， わたしの 法を 實行し， わたしのどの 戒めにも 從って 步むなら， わたしは 父 ダビデ に 告げた 約束をあなたに 對して 果たそう．
  3. わたしは イスラエル の 人¿の 中に 住み， わが 民 イスラエル を 見捨てることはない． 」
  4. こうして ソロモン は 神殿の 建築を 完了した．
  5. 彼は 神殿の 內壁を 床から 天井の 壁面まで レバノン 杉の 板で 仕上げ， 內部を 木材で 覆った． 神殿の 床にも 絲杉の 板を 張り 詰めた．
  1. He partitioned off twenty cubits at the rear of the temple with cedar boards from floor to ceiling to form within the temple an inner sanctuary, the Most Holy Place.
  2. The main hall in front of this room was forty cubits long.
  3. The inside of the temple was cedar, carved with gourds and open flowers. Everything was cedar; no stone was to be seen.
  4. He prepared the inner sanctuary within the temple to set the ark of the covenant of the LORD there.
  5. The inner sanctuary was twenty cubits long, twenty wide and twenty high. He overlaid the inside with pure gold, and he also overlaid the altar of cedar.
  1. また， 神殿の 奧の 部分二十 アンマ に 床から 天井の 壁面まで レバノン 杉の 板を 張って， 內部に 內陣， すなわち 至聖所を 造った．
  2. その 前にある 外陣と 言われる 部分は 四十 アンマ であった．
  3. 神殿の 內部にある レバノン 杉の 壁面はひょうたんと 花模樣の 浮き 彫りで 飾られていた． 全面が レバノン 杉で 出來ていて， 石は 全く 見えなかった．
  4. 神殿の 奧に 設けられた 內陣は， 主の 契約の 箱を 安置するためのものであった．
  5. この 內陣は 奧行きが 二十 アンマ ， 間口が 二十 アンマ ， 高さが 二十 アンマ であり， 彼はこれと， その 前の レバノン 杉の 祭壇を 純金で 覆った．
  1. Solomon covered the inside of the temple with pure gold, and he extended gold chains across the front of the inner sanctuary, which was overlaid with gold.
  2. So he overlaid the whole interior with gold. He also overlaid with gold the altar that belonged to the inner sanctuary.
  3. In the inner sanctuary he made a pair of cherubim of olive wood, each ten cubits high.
  4. One wing of the first cherub was five cubits long, and the other wing five cubits--ten cubits from wing tip to wing tip.
  5. The second cherub also measured ten cubits, for the two cherubim were identical in size and shape.
  1. また ソロモン は， 神殿の 奧を 純金で 覆い， 內陣の 前には 金の 鎖を 渡し， これを 金で 覆った．
  2. このように， 彼は 神殿全體をその 隅¿まで 金で 覆い， 內陣にある 祭壇もすべて 金で 覆った．
  3. ソロモン は オリ ― ブ 材で 二體の ケルビム を 作り， 內陣に 据えた． その 高さは 十 アンマ であった．
  4. ケルビム の 翼は 一方が 五 アンマ で， 他方も 五 アンマ ， 一方の 翼の 先から 他方の 翼の 先まで 十 アンマ であった．
  5. もう 一體の ケルビム も 十 アンマ で， ケルビム は 二體とも 同形同寸であった．
  1. The height of each cherub was ten cubits.
  2. He placed the cherubim inside the innermost room of the temple, with their wings spread out. The wing of one cherub touched one wall, while the wing of the other touched the other wall, and their wings touched each other in the middle of the room.
  3. He overlaid the cherubim with gold.
  4. On the walls all around the temple, in both the inner and outer rooms, he carved cherubim, palm trees and open flowers.
  5. He also covered the floors of both the inner and outer rooms of the temple with gold.
  1. 一方の ケルビム は 高さが 十 アンマ で， もう 一方の ケルビム も 同樣であった．
  2. ソロモン はこの ケルビム を 神殿の 奧に 置いた． 二體の ケルビム はそれぞれ 翼を 廣げ， 一方の ケルビム の 翼が 一方の 壁に 觸れ， もう 一方の ケルビム の 翼も， もう 一方の 壁に 觸れていた． また， それぞれの 內側に 向かった 翼は 接し 合っていた．
  3. 彼は ケルビム も 金で 覆った．
  4. 神殿の 周圍の 壁面はすべて， 內側の 部屋も 外側の 部屋も， ケルビム となつめやしと 花模樣の 浮き 彫りが 施されていた．
  5. 神殿の 床には， 內側の 部屋も 外側の 部屋も 全面に 金を 張り 詰めた．
  1. For the entrance of the inner sanctuary he made doors of olive wood with five-sided jambs.
  2. And on the two olive wood doors he carved cherubim, palm trees and open flowers, and overlaid the cherubim and palm trees with beaten gold.
  3. In the same way he made four-sided jambs of olive wood for the entrance to the main hall.
  4. He also made two pine doors, each having two leaves that turned in sockets.
  5. He carved cherubim, palm trees and open flowers on them and overlaid them with gold hammered evenly over the carvings.
  1. ソロモン は 內陣の 入り 口に オリ ― ブ 材の 扉を 付けた． 壁柱と 門柱は 五角形であった．
  2. その オリ ― ブ 材の 二枚の 扉にも ケルビム となつめやしと 花模樣を 浮き 彫りにして， これを 金で 覆った． ケルビム となつめやしの 上にも 金を 張った．
  3. 同樣に 外陣の 入り 口にも オリ ― ブ 材の 門柱を 付けた． これは 四角形であった．
  4. そして 絲杉材の 二枚の 扉を 付けた． その 一方の 扉の 二枚の 板戶は 折り 疊み 戶， もう 一方の 扉の 二枚の 板戶も 折り 疊み 戶であった．
  5. そこにも ケルビム となつめやしと 花模樣を 浮き 彫りにし， 彫られているところによく 合わせて 金を 張った．
  1. And he built the inner courtyard of three courses of dressed stone and one course of trimmed cedar beams.
  2. The foundation of the temple of the LORD was laid in the fourth year, in the month of Ziv.
  3. In the eleventh year in the month of Bul, the eighth month, the temple was finished in all its details according to its specifications. He had spent seven years building it.
  1. また 內庭を 造り， 切り 石を 三列， レバノン 杉の 角材を 一列重ねて 据えた．
  2. 主の 神殿の 基礎が 据えられたのが， ソロモン の 治世第四年の ジウ の 月，
  3. 同第十一年の ブル の 月， すなわち 第八の 月に 神殿はその 細部に 至るまで 計畵どおりに 完成した． その 建築には 七年を 要した．
