열왕기하 20:1-21:26

 히스기야는 불치병을 기도로 치료받고 생명을 15년 연장받는 기적을 체험하였지만, 바벨론 사절단 앞에서 자신의 부귀 영화를 자랑하는 교만한 행위를 나타냄으로써 이사야 선지자를 통해 유다 왕국의 멸망을 예고받았다. 히스기야의 뒤를 이은 므낫세와 아몬은 거듭된 하나님의 심판의 경고에도 불구하고 우상 숭배와 사악한 통치를 행하여 유다 멸망의 결정적인 원인을 제공하였다.
  
  히스기야의 생명 연장과 실수(20:1-20:21)    
 
  1. In those days Hezekiah became ill and was at the point of death. The prophet Isaiah son of Amoz went to him and said, "This is what the LORD says: Put your house in order, because you are going to die; you will not recover."
  2. Hezekiah turned his face to the wall and prayed to the LORD,
  3. "Remember, O LORD, how I have walked before you faithfully and with wholehearted devotion and have done what is good in your eyes." And Hezekiah wept bitterly.
  4. Before Isaiah had left the middle court, the word of the LORD came to him:
  5. "Go back and tell Hezekiah, the leader of my people, 'This is what the LORD, the God of your father David, says: I have heard your prayer and seen your tears; I will heal you. On the third day from now you will go up to the temple of the LORD.
  1. そのころ， ヒゼキヤ は 死の 病にかかった． 預言者， アモツ の 子 イザヤ が 訪ねて 來て， 「主はこう 言われる． 『あなたは 死ぬことになっていて， 命はないのだから， 家族に 遺言をしなさい 』」と 言った．
  2. ヒゼキヤ は 顔を 壁に 向けて， 主にこう 祈った．
  3. 「ああ， 主よ， わたしがまことを 盡くし， ひたむきな 心をもって 御前を 步み， 御目にかなう 善いことを 行ってきたことを 思い 起こしてください． 」こう 言って， ヒゼキヤ は 淚を 流して 大いに 泣いた．
  4. イザヤ が 中庭を 出ないうちに， 主の 言葉が 彼に 臨んだ．
  5. 「わが 民の 君主 ヒゼキヤ のもとに 戾って 言いなさい． 『あなたの 父祖 ダビデ の 神， 主はこう 言われる． わたしはあなたの 祈りを 聞き， 淚を 見た． 見よ， わたしはあなたをいやし， 三日目にあなたは 主の 神殿に 上れるだろう．
  1. I will add fifteen years to your life. And I will deliver you and this city from the hand of the king of Assyria. I will defend this city for my sake and for the sake of my servant David.' "
  2. Then Isaiah said, "Prepare a poultice of figs." They did so and applied it to the boil, and he recovered.
  3. Hezekiah had asked Isaiah, "What will be the sign that the LORD will heal me and that I will go up to the temple of the LORD on the third day from now?"
  4. Isaiah answered, "This is the LORD's sign to you that the LORD will do what he has promised: Shall the shadow go forward ten steps, or shall it go back ten steps?"
  5. "It is a simple matter for the shadow to go forward ten steps," said Hezekiah. "Rather, have it go back ten steps."
  1. わたしはあなたの 壽命を 十五年延ばし， アッシリア の 王の 手からあなたとこの 都を 救い 出す． わたしはわたし 自身のために， わが 僕 ダビデ のために， この 都を 守り 拔く． 』」
  2. イザヤ が， 「干しいちじくを 取って 來るように 」と 言うので， 人¿がそれを 取って 來て 患部に 當てると， ヒゼキヤ は 回復した．
  3. ヒゼキヤ は イザヤ に 言った． 「主がわたしをいやされ， わたしが 三日目に 主の 神殿に 上れることを 示すしるしは 何でしょうか． 」
  4. イザヤ は 答えた． 「ここに 主によって 與えられるしるしがあります． それによって 主は 約束なさったことを 實現されることが 分かります． 影が 十度進むか， 十度戾るかです． 」
  5. ヒゼキヤ は 答えた． 「影が 十度伸びるのは 容易なことです． むしろ 影を 十度後戾りさせてください． 」
  1. Then the prophet Isaiah called upon the LORD, and the LORD made the shadow go back the ten steps it had gone down on the stairway of Ahaz.
  2. At that time Merodach-Baladan son of Baladan king of Babylon sent Hezekiah letters and a gift, because he had heard of Hezekiah's illness.
  3. Hezekiah received the messengers and showed them all that was in his storehouses--the silver, the gold, the spices and the fine oil--his armory and everything found among his treasures. There was nothing in his palace or in all his kingdom that Hezekiah did not show them.
  4. Then Isaiah the prophet went to King Hezekiah and asked, "What did those men say, and where did they come from?" "From a distant land," Hezekiah replied. "They came from Babylon."
  5. The prophet asked, "What did they see in your palace?" "They saw everything in my palace," Hezekiah said. "There is nothing among my treasures that I did not show them."
  1. そこで 預言者 イザヤ が 主に 祈ると， 主は 日時計の 影， アハズ の 日時計に 落ちた 影を 十度後戾りさせられた．
  2. そのころ， バビロン の 王， バルアダン の 子 メロダク · バルアダン は， ヒゼキヤ が 病氣であるということを 聞いて， ヒゼキヤ に 手紙と 贈り 物を 送って 來た．
  3. ヒゼキヤ は 使者たちを 歡迎し， 銀， 金， 香料， 上等の 油など 寶物庫のすべて， 武器庫， また， 倉庫にある 一切のものを 彼らに 見せた． ヒゼキヤ が 彼らに 見せなかったものは， 宮中はもとより 國中に 一つもなかった．
  4. 預言者 イザヤ は ヒゼキヤ 王のところに 來て， 「あの 人¿は 何を 言ったのですか． どこから 訪ねて 來たのですか 」と 問うた． ヒゼキヤ は， 「彼らは 遠い 國， バビロン から 來ました 」と 答えた．
  5. 更に， 「彼らは 王宮で 何を 見たのですか 」と 問うと， ヒゼキヤ は， 「王宮にあるものは 何もかも 見ました． 倉庫の 中のものも 見せなかったものは 何一つありません 」と 答えた．
  1. Then Isaiah said to Hezekiah, "Hear the word of the LORD :
  2. The time will surely come when everything in your palace, and all that your fathers have stored up until this day, will be carried off to Babylon. Nothing will be left, says the LORD.
  3. And some of your descendants, your own flesh and blood, that will be born to you, will be taken away, and they will become eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon."
  4. "The word of the LORD you have spoken is good," Hezekiah replied. For he thought, "Will there not be peace and security in my lifetime?"
  5. As for the other events of Hezekiah's reign, all his achievements and how he made the pool and the tunnel by which he brought water into the city, are they not written in the book of the annals of the kings of Judah?
  1. そこで イザヤ は ヒゼキヤ に 言った． 「主の 言葉を 聞きなさい．
  2. 『王宮にあるもの， あなたの 先祖が 今日まで 蓄えてきたものが， ことごとく バビロン に 運び 去られ， 何も 殘らなくなる 日が 來る， と 主は 言われる．
  3. あなたから 生まれた 息子の 中には， バビロン 王の 宮殿に 連れて 行かれ， 宦官にされる 者もある． 』」
  4. ヒゼキヤ は イザヤ に， 「あなたの 告げる 主の 言葉はありがたいものです 」と 答えた． 彼は， 自分の 在世中は 平和と 安定が 續くのではないかと 思っていた．
  5. ヒゼキヤ の 他の 事績， 彼の 功績のすべて， 貯水池と 水道を 造って 都に 水を 引いたことは， 『ユダ の 王の 歷代誌 』に 記されている．
  1. Hezekiah rested with his fathers. And Manasseh his son succeeded him as king.
  1. ヒゼキヤ は 先祖と 共に 眠りにつき， その 子 マナセ が ヒゼキヤ に 代わって 王となった．
 
  므낫세의 악정과 심판 예고(21:1-21:26)    
 
  1. Manasseh was twelve years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem fifty-five years. His mother's name was Hephzibah.
  2. He did evil in the eyes of the LORD, following the detestable practices of the nations the LORD had driven out before the Israelites.
  3. He rebuilt the high places his father Hezekiah had destroyed; he also erected altars to Baal and made an Asherah pole, as Ahab king of Israel had done. He bowed down to all the starry hosts and worshiped them.
  4. He built altars in the temple of the LORD, of which the LORD had said, "In Jerusalem I will put my Name."
  5. In both courts of the temple of the LORD, he built altars to all the starry hosts.
  1. マナセ は 十二歲で 王となり， 五十五年間 エルサレム で 王位にあった． その 母は 名を ヘフツィ · バ と 言った．
  2. 彼は 主が イスラエル の 人¿の 前から 追い 拂われた 諸國の 民の 忌むべき 慣習に 倣い， 主の 目に 惡とされることを 行った．

  1. He sacrificed his own son in the fire, practiced sorcery and divination, and consulted mediums and spiritists. He did much evil in the eyes of the LORD, provoking him to anger.
  2. He took the carved Asherah pole he had made and put it in the temple, of which the LORD had said to David and to his son Solomon, "In this temple and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, I will put my Name forever.
  3. I will not again make the feet of the Israelites wander from the land I gave their forefathers, if only they will be careful to do everything I commanded them and will keep the whole Law that my servant Moses gave them."
  4. But the people did not listen. Manasseh led them astray, so that they did more evil than the nations the LORD had destroyed before the Israelites.
  5. The LORD said through his servants the prophets:
  1. 彼は 自分の 子に 火の 中を 通らせ， 占いやまじないを 行い， 口寄せや 靈媒を 用いるなど， 主の 目に 惡とされることを 數¿行って 主の 怒りを 招いた．
  2. 彼はまた アシェラ の 彫像を 造り， 神殿に 置いた． 主はその 神殿について， かつて ダビデ とその 子 ソロモン にこう 仰せになった． 「わたしはこの 神殿に， イスラエル の 全部族の 中から 選んだ エルサレム に， とこしえにわたしの 名を 置く．
  3. もし 彼らがわたしの 命じるすべてのこと， すなわちわが 僕 モ ― セ が 彼らに 授けたすべての 律法を 行うよう 努めるなら， わたしは イスラエル をその 先祖に 與えた 土地から 二度と 迷い 出させない． 」
  4. しかし 彼らはこれに 聞き 從わず， マナセ に 惑わされて， 主が イスラエル の 人¿の 前で 滅ぼされた 諸國の 民よりも 更に 惡い 事を 行った．
  5. 主はその 僕である 預言者たちを 通してこう 告げられた．
  1. "Manasseh king of Judah has committed these detestable sins. He has done more evil than the Amorites who preceded him and has led Judah into sin with his idols.
  2. Therefore this is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: I am going to bring such disaster on Jerusalem and Judah that the ears of everyone who hears of it will tingle.
  3. I will stretch out over Jerusalem the measuring line used against Samaria and the plumb line used against the house of Ahab. I will wipe out Jerusalem as one wipes a dish, wiping it and turning it upside down.
  4. I will forsake the remnant of my inheritance and hand them over to their enemies. They will be looted and plundered by all their foes,
  5. because they have done evil in my eyes and have provoked me to anger from the day their forefathers came out of Egypt until this day."
  1. 「ユダ の 王 マナセ はこれらの 忌むべき 事を 行い， かつて アモリ 人の 行ったすべての 事より， 更に 惡い 事を 行い， その 偶像によって ユダ にまで 罪を 犯させた．
  2. それゆえ， イスラエル の 神， 主はこう 言われる． 見よ， わたしは エルサレム と ユダ に 災いをもたらす． これを 聞く 者は 皆， 兩方の 耳が 鳴る．
  3. わたしは サマリア に 使った 測り ¿と アハブ の 家に 使った 下げ 振りを エルサレム に 用いる． 鉢をぬぐい， それをぬぐって 伏せるように， わたしは エルサレム をぬぐい 去る．
  4. わたしはわが 嗣業の 殘りの 者を 見捨て， 敵の 手に 渡す． 彼らはそのすべての 敵の 餌食となり， 略奪の 的となる．
  5. 彼らは 先祖が エジプト を 出た 日から 今日に 至るまでわたしの 意に 背くことを 行い， わたしを 怒らせてきたからである． 」
  1. Moreover, Manasseh also shed so much innocent blood that he filled Jerusalem from end to end--besides the sin that he had caused Judah to commit, so that they did evil in the eyes of the LORD.
  2. As for the other events of Manasseh's reign, and all he did, including the sin he committed, are they not written in the book of the annals of the kings of Judah?
  3. Manasseh rested with his fathers and was buried in his palace garden, the garden of Uzza. And Amon his son succeeded him as king.
  4. Amon was twenty-two years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem two years. His mother's name was Meshullemeth daughter of Haruz; she was from Jotbah.
  5. He did evil in the eyes of the LORD, as his father Manasseh had done.
  1. マナセ は 主の 目に 惡とされることを ユダ に 行わせて， 罪を 犯させた． 彼はその 罪を 犯したばかりでなく， 罪のない 者の 血を 非常に 多く 流し， その 血で エルサレム を 端から 端まで 滿たした．
  2. マナセ の 他の 事績， 彼の 行ったすべての 事， 彼の 犯した 罪は， 『ユダ の 王の 歷代誌 』に 記されている．
  3. マナセ は 先祖と 共に 眠りにつき， 自分の 宮殿の 庭園， すなわち ウザ の 庭園に 葬られた． その 子 アモン が マナセ に 代わって 王となった．
  4. アモン は 二十二歲で 王となり， 二年間 エルサレム で 王位にあった． その 母は 名を メシュレメト といい， ヨトバ 出身の ハルツ の 娘であった．
  5. 彼は 父 マナセ が 行ったように， 主の 目に 惡とされることを 行った．
  1. He walked in all the ways of his father; he worshiped the idols his father had worshiped, and bowed down to them.
  2. He forsook the LORD, the God of his fathers, and did not walk in the way of the LORD.
  3. Amon's officials conspired against him and assassinated the king in his palace.
  4. Then the people of the land killed all who had plotted against King Amon, and they made Josiah his son king in his place.
  5. As for the other events of Amon's reign, and what he did, are they not written in the book of the annals of the kings of Judah?
  1. 父の 步んだ 道をそのまま 步み， 父が 仕えた 偶像に 彼も 仕え， その 前にひれ 伏し，
  2. 先祖の 神， 主を 捨て， 主の 道を 步まなかった．
  3. 彼の 家臣たちは 謀反を 起こし， この 王を 宮殿で 殺害した．
  4. しかし 國の 民は， アモン 王に 對して 謀反を 起こしたすべての 者を 討ち， その 子 ヨシヤ を アモン の 代わりに 王とした．
  5. アモン の 行った 他の 事績は， 『ユダ の 王の 歷代誌 』に 記されている．
  1. He was buried in his grave in the garden of Uzza. And Josiah his son succeeded him as king.
  1. 彼は ウザ の 庭園にある 彼の 墓に 葬られた． その 子 ヨシヤ が アモン に 代わって 王となった．
