다니엘 6:1-7:28

 다리오 왕은 다니엘의 민첩함과 총명함을 보고 그를 세워 전국을 다스리게 하였으나, 이를 시기하는 총리들과 방백들의 음모로 다니엘은 사자굴에 던져졌다. 그러나 그는 하나님의 도우심으로 살아났고, 오히려 그를 참소했던 자들과 그의 가족들이 사자굴에 던져져 죽임을 당하였다. 벨사살 원년에 다니엘은 네 종류의 짐승에 관한 환상을 보았다.
  
  사자굴 속의 다니엘(6:1-6:28)    
 
  1. It pleased Darius to appoint 120 satraps to rule throughout the kingdom,
  2. with three administrators over them, one of whom was Daniel. The satraps were made accountable to them so that the king might not suffer loss.
  3. Now Daniel so distinguished himself among the administrators and the satraps by his exceptional qualities that the king planned to set him over the whole kingdom.
  4. At this, the administrators and the satraps tried to find grounds for charges against Daniel in his conduct of government affairs, but they were unable to do so. They could find no corruption in him, because he was trustworthy and neither corrupt nor negligent.
  5. Finally these men said, "We will never find any basis for charges against this man Daniel unless it has something to do with the law of his God."
  1. さて， 王國を 繼いだのは， メディア 人 ダレイオス であった． 彼は 旣に 六十二歲であった．
  2. ダレイオス は， 王國に 百二十人の 總督を 置いて 全國を 治めさせることにし，
  3. また， 王に 損失がないようにするため， これらの 總督から 報告を 受ける 大臣を 三人， その 上に 置いた． ダニエル はそのひとりであった．
  4. ダニエル には 優れた 靈が 宿っていたので， 他の 大臣や 總督のすべてに 傑出していた． 王は 彼に 王國全體を 治めさせようとした．
  5. 大臣や 總督は， 政務に 關して ダニエル を 陷れようと 口實を 探した． しかし， ダニエル は 政務に 忠實で， 何の 汚点も 怠慢もなく， 彼らは 訴え 出る 口實を 見つけることができなかった．
  1. So the administrators and the satraps went as a group to the king and said: "O King Darius, live forever!
  2. The royal administrators, prefects, satraps, advisers and governors have all agreed that the king should issue an edict and enforce the decree that anyone who prays to any god or man during the next thirty days, except to you, O king, shall be thrown into the lions' den.
  3. Now, O king, issue the decree and put it in writing so that it cannot be altered--in accordance with the laws of the Medes and Persians, which cannot be repealed."
  4. So King Darius put the decree in writing.
  5. Now when Daniel learned that the decree had been published, he went home to his upstairs room where the windows opened toward Jerusalem. Three times a day he got down on his knees and prayed, giving thanks to his God, just as he had done before.
  1. それで 彼らは， 「ダニエル を 陷れるには， その 信じている 神の 法に 關してなんらかの 言いがかりをつけるほかはあるまい 」と 話し 合い，
  2. 王のもとに 集まってこう 言った． 「ダレイオス 王樣がとこしえまでも 生き 永らえられますように．
  3. 王國の 大臣， 執政官， 總督， 地方長官， 側近ら 一同相談いたしまして， 王樣に 次のような， 勅令による 禁止事項をお 定めいただこうということになりました． すなわち， 向こう 三十日間， 王樣を 差し 置いて 他の 人間や 神に 願い 事をする 者は， だれであれ 獅子の 洞窟に 投げ ¿まれる， と．
  4. 王樣， どうぞこの 禁令を 出し， その 書面に 御署名ください． そうすれば， これは メディア と ペルシア の 法律として 變更不可能なものとなり， 廢止することはできなくなります． 」
  5. ダレイオス 王は， その 書面に 署名して 禁令を 發布した．
  1. Then these men went as a group and found Daniel praying and asking God for help.
  2. So they went to the king and spoke to him about his royal decree: "Did you not publish a decree that during the next thirty days anyone who prays to any god or man except to you, O king, would be thrown into the lions' den?" The king answered, "The decree stands--in accordance with the laws of the Medes and Persians, which cannot be repealed."
  3. Then they said to the king, "Daniel, who is one of the exiles from Judah, pays no attention to you, O king, or to the decree you put in writing. He still prays three times a day."
  4. When the king heard this, he was greatly distressed; he was determined to rescue Daniel and made every effort until sundown to save him.
  5. Then the men went as a group to the king and said to him, "Remember, O king, that according to the law of the Medes and Persians no decree or edict that the king issues can be changed."
  1. ダニエル は 王が 禁令に 署名したことを 知っていたが， 家に 歸るといつものとおり 二階の 部屋に 上がり， エルサレム に 向かって 開かれた 窓際にひざまずき， 日に 三度の 祈りと 贊美を 自分の 神にささげた．
  2. 役人たちはやって 來て， ダニエル がその 神に 祈り 求 ／めているのを 見屆け，
  3. 王の 前に 進み 出， 禁令を 引き 合いに 出してこう 言った． 「王樣， 向こう 三十日間， 王樣を 差し 置いて 他の 人間や 神に 願い 事をする 者があれば， 獅子の 洞窟に 投げ ¿まれるという 勅令に 署名をなさったのではございませんか． 」王は 答えた． 「そのとおりだ． メディア と ペルシア の 法律は 廢棄されることはない． 」
  4. 彼らは 王に 言った． 「王樣， ユダヤ からの 捕囚の 一人 ダニエル は， あなたさまをも， 署名なさったその 禁令をも 無視して， 日に 三度祈りをささげています． 」
  5. 王はこれを 聞いてたいそう 惱み， なんとか ダニエル を 助ける 方法はないものかと 心を ¿き， 救おうとして 日の 暮れるまで 努力した．
  1. So the king gave the order, and they brought Daniel and threw him into the lions' den. The king said to Daniel, "May your God, whom you serve continually, rescue you!"
  2. A stone was brought and placed over the mouth of the den, and the king sealed it with his own signet ring and with the rings of his nobles, so that Daniel's situation might not be changed.
  3. Then the king returned to his palace and spent the night without eating and without any entertainment being brought to him. And he could not sleep.
  4. At the first light of dawn, the king got up and hurried to the lions' den.
  5. When he came near the den, he called to Daniel in an anguished voice, "Daniel, servant of the living God, has your God, whom you serve continually, been able to rescue you from the lions?"
  1. 役人たちは 王のもとに 來て 言った． 「王樣， ご 存じのとおり， メディア と ペルシア の 法律によれば， 王による 勅令や 禁令は 一切變更してはならないことになっております． 」
  2. それで 王は 命令を 下し， ダニエル は 獅子の 洞窟に 投げ ¿まれることになって 引き 出された． 王は 彼に 言った． 「お 前がいつも 拜んでいる 神がお 前を 救ってくださるように． 」
  3. 一つの 石が 洞窟の 入り 口に 置かれ， 王は 自分の 印と 貴族たちの 印で 封をし， ダニエル に 對する 處置に 變更がないようにした．
  4. 王は 宮殿に 歸ったが， その 夜は 食を 斷ち， 側女も 近寄らせず， 眠れずに 過ごし，
  5. 夜が 明けるやいなや， 急いで 獅子の 洞窟へ 行った．
  1. Daniel answered, "O king, live forever!
  2. My God sent his angel, and he shut the mouths of the lions. They have not hurt me, because I was found innocent in his sight. Nor have I ever done any wrong before you, O king."
  3. The king was overjoyed and gave orders to lift Daniel out of the den. And when Daniel was lifted from the den, no wound was found on him, because he had trusted in his God.
  4. At the king's command, the men who had falsely accused Daniel were brought in and thrown into the lions' den, along with their wives and children. And before they reached the floor of the den, the lions overpowered them and crushed all their bones.
  5. Then King Darius wrote to all the peoples, nations and men of every language throughout the land: "May you prosper greatly!
  1. 洞窟に 近づくと， 王は 不安に 滿ちた 聲をあげて， ダニエル に 呼びかけた． 「ダニエル ， ダニエル ， 生ける 神の 僕よ， お 前がいつも 拜んでいる 神は， 獅子からお 前を 救い 出す 力があったか． 」
  2. ダニエル は 王に 答えた． 「王樣がとこしえまでも 生き 永らえられますように．
  3. 神樣が 天使を 送って 獅子の 口を 閉ざしてくださいましたので， わたしはなんの 危害も 受けませんでした． 神樣に 對するわたしの 無實が 認められたのです． そして 王樣， あなたさまに 對しても， 背いたことはございません． 」
  4. 王はたいそう 喜んで， ダニエル を 洞窟から 引き 出すように 命じた． ダニエル は 引き 出されたが， その 身に 何の 害も 受けていなかった． 神を 信賴していたからである．
  5. 王は 命令を 下して， ダニエル を 陷れようとした 者たちを 引き 出させ， 妻子もろとも 獅子の 洞窟に 投げ ¿ませた． 穴の 底にも 達しないうちに， 獅子は 彼らに 飛びかかり， 骨までもかみ ¿いた．
  1. "I issue a decree that in every part of my kingdom people must fear and reverence the God of Daniel. "For he is the living God and he endures forever; his kingdom will not be destroyed, his dominion will never end.
  2. He rescues and he saves; he performs signs and wonders in the heavens and on the earth. He has rescued Daniel from the power of the lions."
  3. So Daniel prospered during the reign of Darius and the reign of Cyrus the Persian.
  1. ダレイオス 王は， 全地に 住む 諸國， 諸族， 諸言語の 人¿に， 次のように 書き 送った． 「いっそうの 繁榮を 願って ¿¿を 送る．
  2. わたしは 以下のとおりに 定める． この 王國全域において， すべての 民は ダニエル の 神を 恐れかしこまなければならない． この 神は 生ける 神， 世¿にいまし ／その 主權は 滅びることなく， その 支配は 永遠．
  3. この 神は 救い 主， 助け 主． 天にも 地にも， 不思議な 御業を 行い ／ ダニエル を 獅子の 力から 救われた． 」
 
  다니엘의 첫 환상(7:1-7:28)    
 
  1. In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon, Daniel had a dream, and visions passed through his mind as he was lying on his bed. He wrote down the substance of his dream.
  2. Daniel said: "In my vision at night I looked, and there before me were the four winds of heaven churning up the great sea.
  3. Four great beasts, each different from the others, came up out of the sea.
  4. "The first was like a lion, and it had the wings of an eagle. I watched until its wings were torn off and it was lifted from the ground so that it stood on two feet like a man, and the heart of a man was given to it.
  5. "And there before me was a second beast, which looked like a bear. It was raised up on one of its sides, and it had three ribs in its mouth between its teeth. It was told, 'Get up and eat your fill of flesh!'
  1. バビロン の 王 ベルシャツァル の 治世元年のことである． ダニエル は， 眠っているとき 頭に 幻が 浮かび， 一つの 夢を 見た． 彼はその 夢を 記錄することにし， 次のように 書き 起こした．
  2. ある 夜， わたしは 幻を 見た． 見よ， 天の 四方から 風が 起こって， 大海を 波立たせた．
  3. すると， その 海から 四頭の 大きな ¿が 現れた． それぞれ 形が 異なり，
  4. 第一のものは 獅子のようであったが， 鷲の 翼が 生えていた． 見ていると， 翼は 引き 拔かれ， 地面から 起き 上がらされて 人間のようにその 足で 立ち， 人間の 心が 與えられた．
  5. 第二の ¿は 熊のようで， 橫ざまに 寢て， 三本の 肋骨を 口にくわえていた． これに 向かって， 「立て， 多くの 肉を 食らえ 」という 聲がした．
  1. "After that, I looked, and there before me was another beast, one that looked like a leopard. And on its back it had four wings like those of a bird. This beast had four heads, and it was given authority to rule.
  2. "After that, in my vision at night I looked, and there before me was a fourth beast--terrifying and frightening and very powerful. It had large iron teeth; it crushed and devoured its victims and trampled underfoot whatever was left. It was different from all the former beasts, and it had ten horns.
  3. "While I was thinking about the horns, there before me was another horn, a little one, which came up among them; and three of the first horns were uprooted before it. This horn had eyes like the eyes of a man and a mouth that spoke boastfully.
  4. "As I looked, "thrones were set in place, and the Ancient of Days took his seat. His clothing was as white as snow; the hair of his head was white like wool. His throne was flaming with fire, and its wheels were all ablaze.
  5. A river of fire was flowing, coming out from before him. Thousands upon thousands attended him; ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him. The court was seated, and the books were opened.
  1. 次に 見えたのはまた 別の ¿で， 豹のようであった． 背には 鳥の 翼が 四つあり， 頭も 四つあって， 權力がこの ¿に 與えられた．
  2. この 夜の 幻で 更に 續けて 見たものは， 第四の ¿で， ものすごく， 恐ろしく， 非常に 强く， 巨大な 鐵の 齒を 持ち， 食らい， かみ ¿き， 殘りを 足で 踏みにじった． 他の ¿と 異なって， これには 十本の 角があった．
  3. その 角を 眺めていると， もう 一本の 小さな 角が 生えてきて， 先の 角のうち 三本はそのために 引き 拔かれてしまった． この 小さな 角には 人間のように 目があり， また， 口もあって 尊大なことを 語っていた．
  4. なお 見ていると， ／王座が 据えられ ／「日の 老いたる 者 」がそこに 座した． その 衣は 雪のように 白く ／その 白髮は 淸らかな 羊の 毛のようであった． その 王座は 燃える 炎 ／その 車輪は 燃える 火
  5. その 前から 火の 川が 流れ 出ていた． 幾千人が 御前に 仕え ／幾万人が 御前に 立った． 裁き 主は 席に 着き ／卷物が 繰り 廣げられた．
  1. "Then I continued to watch because of the boastful words the horn was speaking. I kept looking until the beast was slain and its body destroyed and thrown into the blazing fire.
  2. (The other beasts had been stripped of their authority, but were allowed to live for a period of time.)
  3. "In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like a son of man, coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into his presence.
  4. He was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all peoples, nations and men of every language worshiped him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed.
  5. "I, Daniel, was troubled in spirit, and the visions that passed through my mind disturbed me.
  1. さて， その 間にもこの 角は 尊大なことを 語り 續けていたが， ついにその ¿は 殺され， 死體は 破壞されて 燃え 盛る 火に 投げ ¿まれた．
  2. 他の ¿は 權力を 奪われたが， それぞれの 定めの 時まで 生かしておかれた．
  3. 夜の 幻をなお 見ていると， ／見よ， 「人の 子 」のような 者が 天の 雲に 乘り ／「日の 老いたる 者 」の 前に 來て， そのもとに 進み
  4. 權威， 威光， 王權を 受けた． 諸國， 諸族， 諸言語の 民は 皆， 彼に 仕え ／彼の 支配はとこしえに 續き ／その 統治は 滅びることがない．
  5. わたし ダニエル は 大いに 憂い， 頭に 浮かんだこの 幻に 惱まされた．
  1. I approached one of those standing there and asked him the true meaning of all this. "So he told me and gave me the interpretation of these things:
  2. 'The four great beasts are four kingdoms that will rise from the earth.
  3. But the saints of the Most High will receive the kingdom and will possess it forever--yes, for ever and ever.'
  4. "Then I wanted to know the true meaning of the fourth beast, which was different from all the others and most terrifying, with its iron teeth and bronze claws--the beast that crushed and devoured its victims and trampled underfoot whatever was left.
  5. I also wanted to know about the ten horns on its head and about the other horn that came up, before which three of them fell--the horn that looked more imposing than the others and that had eyes and a mouth that spoke boastfully.
  1. そこに 立っている 人の 一人に 近づいてこれらのことの 意味を 尋ねると， 彼はそれを 說明し， 解釋してくれた．
  2. 「これら 四頭の 大きな ¿は， 地上に 起ころうとする 四人の 王である．
  3. しかし， いと 高き 者の 聖者らが 王權を 受け， 王國をとこしえに 治めるであろう． 」
  4. 更にわたしは， 第四の ¿について 知りたいと 思った． これは 他の ¿と 異なって， 非常に 恐ろしく， 鐵の 齒と 靑銅のつめをもち， 食らい， かみ ¿き， 殘りを 足で 踏みにじったものである．
  5. その 頭には 十本の 角があり， 更に 一本の 角が 生え 出たので， 十本の 角のうち 三本が 拔け 落ちた． その 角には 目があり， また， 口もあって 尊大なことを 語った． これは， 他の 角よりも 大きく 見えた．
  1. As I watched, this horn was waging war against the saints and defeating them,
  2. until the Ancient of Days came and pronounced judgment in favor of the saints of the Most High, and the time came when they possessed the kingdom.
  3. "He gave me this explanation: 'The fourth beast is a fourth kingdom that will appear on earth. It will be different from all the other kingdoms and will devour the whole earth, trampling it down and crushing it.
  4. The ten horns are ten kings who will come from this kingdom. After them another king will arise, different from the earlier ones; he will subdue three kings.
  5. He will speak against the Most High and oppress his saints and try to change the set times and the laws. The saints will be handed over to him for a time, times and half a time.
  1. 見ていると， この 角は 聖者らと 鬪って 勝ったが，
  2. やがて， 「日の 老いたる 者 」が 進み 出て 裁きを 行い， いと 高き 者の 聖者らが 勝ち， 時が 來て 王權を 受けたのである．
  3. さて， その 人はこう 言った． 「第四の ¿は 地上に 興る 第四の 國 ／これはすべての 國に 異なり ／全地を 食らい 盡くし， 踏みにじり， 打ち ¿く．
  4. 十の 角はこの 國に 立つ 十人の 王 ／そのあとにもう 一人の 王が 立つ． 彼は 十人の 王と 異なり， 三人の 王を 倒す．
  5. 彼はいと 高き 方に 敵對して 語り ／いと 高き 方の 聖者らを 惱ます． 彼は 時と 法を 變えようとたくらむ． 聖者らは 彼の 手に 渡され ／一時期， 二時期， 半時期がたつ．
  1. " 'But the court will sit, and his power will be taken away and completely destroyed forever.
  2. Then the sovereignty, power and greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven will be handed over to the saints, the people of the Most High. His kingdom will be an everlasting kingdom, and all rulers will worship and obey him.'
  3. "This is the end of the matter. I, Daniel, was deeply troubled by my thoughts, and my face turned pale, but I kept the matter to myself."
  1. やがて 裁きの 座が 開かれ ／彼はその 權威を 奪われ ／滅ぼされ， 絶やされて 終わる．
  2. 天下の 全王國の 王權， 權威， 支配の 力は ／いと 高き 方の 聖なる 民に 與えられ ／その 國はとこしえに 續き ／支配者はすべて， 彼らに 仕え， 彼らに 從う． 」
  3. ここでその 言葉は 終わった． わたし ダニエル は 大層恐れ 惱み， 顔色も 變わるほどであった． しかし， わたしはその 言葉を 心に 留めた．
