- Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea.
- I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband.
- And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God.
- He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."
- He who was seated on the throne said, "I am making everything new!" Then he said, "Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true."

- わたしはまた， 新しい 天と 新しい 地を 見た． 最初の 天と 最初の 地は 去って 行き， もはや 海もなくなった．
- 更にわたしは， 聖なる 都， 新しい エルサレム が， 夫のために 着飾った 花嫁のように 用意を 整えて， 神のもとを 離れ， 天から 下って 來るのを 見た．
- そのとき， わたしは 玉座から 語りかける 大きな 聲を 聞いた． 「見よ， 神の 幕屋が 人の 間にあって， 神が 人と 共に 住み， 人は 神の 民となる． 神は 自ら 人と 共にいて， その 神となり，
- 彼らの 目の 淚をことごとくぬぐい 取ってくださる． もはや 死はなく， もはや 悲しみも 嘆きも 勞苦もない． 最初のものは 過ぎ 去ったからである． 」
- すると， 玉座に 座っておられる 方が， 「見よ， わたしは 万物を 新しくする 」と 言い， また， 「書き 記せ． これらの 言葉は 信賴でき， また 眞實である 」と 言われた．

- He said to me: "It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To him who is thirsty I will give to drink without cost from the spring of the water of life.
- He who overcomes will inherit all this, and I will be his God and he will be my son.
- But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars--their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death."
- One of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues came and said to me, "Come, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb."
- And he carried me away in the Spirit to a mountain great and high, and showed me the Holy City, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God.

- また， わたしに 言われた． 「事は 成就した． わたしは アルファ であり， オメガ である． 初めであり， 終わりである． 渴いている 者には， 命の 水の 泉から 價なしに 飮ませよう．
- 勝利を 得る 者は， これらのものを 受け 繼ぐ． わたしはその 者の 神になり， その 者はわたしの 子となる．
- しかし， おくびょうな 者， 不信仰な 者， 忌まわしい 者， 人を 殺す 者， みだらな 行いをする 者， 魔術を 使う 者， 偶像を 拜む 者， すべてうそを 言う 者， このような 者たちに 對する 報いは， 火と 硫黃の 燃える 池である． それが， 第二の 死である． 」
- さて， 最後の 七つの 災いの 滿ちた 七つの 鉢を 持つ 七人の 天使がいたが， その 中の 一人が 來て， わたしに 語りかけてこう 言った． 「ここへ 來なさい． 小羊の 妻である 花嫁を 見せてあげよう． 」
- この 天使が， “靈 ＂に 滿たされたわたしを 大きな 高い 山に 連れて 行き， 聖なる 都 エルサレム が 神のもとを 離れて， 天から 下って 來るのを 見せた．

- It shone with the glory of God, and its brilliance was like that of a very precious jewel, like a jasper, clear as crystal.
- It had a great, high wall with twelve gates, and with twelve angels at the gates. On the gates were written the names of the twelve tribes of Israel.
- There were three gates on the east, three on the north, three on the south and three on the west.
- The wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
- The angel who talked with me had a measuring rod of gold to measure the city, its gates and its walls.

- 都は 神の 榮光に 輝いていた． その 輝きは， 最高の 寶石のようであり， 透き 通った 碧玉のようであった．
- 都には， 高い 大きな 城壁と 十二の 門があり， それらの 門には 十二人の 天使がいて， 名が 刻みつけてあった． イスラエル の 子らの 十二部族の 名であった．
- 東に 三つの 門， 北に 三つの 門， 南に 三つの 門， 西に 三つの 門があった．
- 都の 城壁には 十二の 土台があって， それには 小羊の 十二使徒の 十二の 名が 刻みつけてあった．
- わたしに 語りかけた 天使は， 都とその 門と 城壁とを 測るために， 金の 物差しを 持っていた．

- The city was laid out like a square, as long as it was wide. He measured the city with the rod and found it to be 12,000 stadiain length, and as wide and high as it is long.
- He measured its wall and it was 144 cubits thick, by man's measurement, which the angel was using.
- The wall was made of jasper, and the city of pure gold, as pure as glass.
- The foundations of the city walls were decorated with every kind of precious stone. The first foundation was jasper, the second sapphire, the third chalcedony, the fourth emerald,
- the fifth sardonyx, the sixth carnelian, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, and the twelfth amethyst.

- この 都は 四角い 形で， 長さと 幅が 同じであった． 天使が 物差しで 都を 測ると， 一万二千 スタディオン あった． 長さも 幅も 高さも 同じである．
- また， 城壁を 測ると， 百四十四 ペキス であった． これは 人間の 物差しによって 測ったもので， 天使が 用いたものもこれである．
- 都の 城壁は 碧玉で 築かれ， 都は 透き 通った ガラス のような 純金であった．
- 都の 城壁の 土台石は， あらゆる 寶石で 飾られていた． 第一の 土台石は 碧玉， 第二は サファイア ， 第三はめのう， 第四は エメラルド ，
- 第五は 赤縞めのう， 第六は 赤めのう， 第七はかんらん 石， 第八は 綠柱石， 第九は 黃玉， 第十はひすい， 第十一は 靑玉， 第十二は 紫水晶であった．

- The twelve gates were twelve pearls, each gate made of a single pearl. The great street of the city was of pure gold, like transparent glass.
- I did not see a temple in the city, because the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple.
- The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp.
- The nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their splendor into it.
- On no day will its gates ever be shut, for there will be no night there.

- また， 十二の 門は 十二の 眞珠であって， どの 門もそれぞれ 一個の 眞珠でできていた． 都の 大通りは， 透き 通った ガラス のような 純金であった．
- わたしは， 都の 中に 神殿を 見なかった． 全能者である 神， 主と 小羊とが 都の 神殿だからである．
- この 都には， それを 照らす 太陽も 月も， 必要でない． 神の 榮光が 都を 照らしており， 小羊が 都の 明かりだからである．
- 諸國の 民は， 都の 光の 中を 步き， 地上の 王たちは， 自分たちの 榮光を 携えて， 都に 來る．
- 都の 門は， 一日中決して 閉ざされない． そこには 夜がないからである．

- The glory and honor of the nations will be brought into it.
- Nothing impure will ever enter it, nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb's book of life.

- 人¿は， 諸國の 民の 榮光と 譽れとを 携えて 都に 來る．
- しかし， 汚れた 者， 忌まわしいことと 僞りを 行う 者はだれ 一人， 決して 都に 入れない． 小羊の 命の 書に 名が 書いてある 者だけが 入れる．
