	시편 시편은 성도의 경건한 삶을 위한 기도와 찬양의 책으로 모세로부터 에스라에 이르는 오랜 기간 동안에 여러 사람의 작품을 편집한 것이나 대부분은 다윗의 시편이다. 본서는 하나님께 대한 신뢰와 감사, 죄의 고백, 미래에 대한 소망, 메시아 대망 등에 대해 서술하고 있다.

	시편 1:1-1:6 복 있는 사람의 생활과 결과, 의인과 악인의 길을 대조해서 밝혀 주고 있다.

Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers.

But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night.

He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers.

Not so the wicked! They are like chaff that the wind blows away.

Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.

For the LORD watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish.
