- 내 아들아 내 말에 주의하며 나의 이르는 것에 네 귀를 기울이라
- 그것을 네 눈에서 떠나게 말며 네 마음 속에 지키라
- 그것은 얻는 자에게 생명이 되며 그 온 육체의 건강이 됨이니라
- 무릇 지킬만한 것보다 더욱 네 마음을 지키라 생명의 근원이 이에서 남이니라
- 궤휼을 네 입에서 버리며 사곡을 네 입술에서 멀리하라

- My son, pay attention to what I say; listen closely to my words.
- Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart;
- for they are life to those who find them and health to a man's whole body.
- Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life.
- Put away perversity from your mouth; keep corrupt talk far from your lips.
