에스라

  본서는 하나님께서 예레미야를 통해 말씀하신 예언(렘 29:10-14), 즉 이스라엘 민족을 70년간의 포로 생활 후 다시 가나안 땅으로 인도하시리라는 약속의 성취 과정을 기록하고 있다. 그래서 이스라엘의 회복, 신앙과 예배의 구심적인 성전 재건, 야웨 신앙의 순수성 확립을 강조하고 있다.

  이스라엘 민족의 귀환은 3차에 걸쳐 이루어졌는데, 1,2차 귀환의 내용이 본서에 기록되고 있다. 1차 귀환과 성전 재건은 스룹바벨과 예수아를 중심으로 이루어졌으며, 2차 귀환은 에스라를 중심으로 이루어졌다. 에스라는 도덕적, 영적으로 폐허가 된 유대인들의 마음에 하나님의 법을 재건하는 신앙 개혁 운동을 일으켰다.

 

 

에스라 1:1-2:70

 하나님께서는 바사 왕 고레스의 마음을 감동시키셔서 이스라엘 백성에게 유다 예루살렘에 올라가 하나님의 전을 건축하라는 조서를 내리게 하셨다. 바벨론에서의 포로 생활을 청산하고 예루살렘으로 귀환한 사람들의 명단이 기록되어 있다.
  
  고레스의 조서(1:1-1:11)    
 
  1. 바사 왕 고레스 원년에 여호와께서 예레미야의 입으로 하신 말씀을 응하게 하시려고 바사 왕 고레스의 마음을 감동시키시매 저가 온 나라에 공포도 하고 조서도 내려 가로되
  2. 바사 왕 고레스는 말하노니 하늘의 신 여호와께서 세상 만국으로 내게 주셨고 나를 명하사 유다 예루살렘에 전을 건축하라 하셨나니
  3. 이스라엘의 하나님은 참 신이시라 너희 중에 무릇 그 백성 된 자는 다 유다 예루살렘으로 올라가서 거기 있는 여호와의 전을 건축하라 너희 하나님이 함께 하시기를 원하노라
  4. 무릇 그 남아 있는 백성이 어느 곳에 우거하였든지 그곳 사람들이 마땅히 은과 금과 기타 물건과 짐승으로 도와주고 그 외에도 예루살렘 하나님의 전을 위하여 예물을 즐거이 드릴찌니라 하였더라
  5. 이에 유다와 베냐민 족장들과 제사장들과 레위 사람들과 무릇 그 마음이 하나님께 감동을 받고 올라가서 예루살렘 여호와의 전을 건축코자 하는 자가 다 일어나니
  1. Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, in order to fulfill the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah, the LORD stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, so that he sent a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and also put it in writing, saying:
  2. "Thus says Cyrus king of Persia, 'The LORD, the God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth and He has appointed me to build Him a house in Jerusalem, which is in Judah.
  3. 'Whoever there is among you of all His people, may his God be with him! Let him go up to Jerusalem which is in Judah and rebuild the house of the LORD, the God of Israel; He is the God who is in Jerusalem.
  4. 'Every survivor, at whatever place he may live, let the men of that place support him with silver and gold, with goods and cattle, together with a freewill offering for the house of God which is in Jerusalem.'"
  5. Then the heads of fathers' households of Judah and Benjamin and the priests and the Levites arose, even everyone whose spirit God had stirred to go up and rebuild the house of the LORD which is in Jerusalem.
  1. 그 사면 사람들이 은그릇과 황금과 기타 물건과 짐승과 보물로 돕고 그 외에도 예물을 즐거이 드렸더라
  2. 고레스왕이 또 여호와의 전 기명을 꺼내니 옛적에 느부갓네살이 예루살렘에서 옮겨다가 자기 신들의 당에 두었던 것이라
  3. 바사 왕 고레스가 고지기 미드르닷을 명하여 그 그릇을 꺼내어 계수하여 유다 목백 세스바살에게 붙이니
  4. 그 수효는 금반이 삼십이요 은반이 일천이요 칼이 이십 구요
  5. 금대접이 삼십이요 그보다 차한 은대접이 사백 열이요 기타 기명이 일천이니
  1. All those about them encouraged them with articles of silver, with gold, with goods, with cattle and with valuables, aside from all that was given as a freewill offering.
  2. Also King Cyrus brought out the articles of the house of the LORD, which Nebuchadnezzar had carried away from Jerusalem and put in the house of his gods;
  3. and Cyrus, king of Persia, had them brought out by the hand of Mithredath the treasurer, and he counted them out to Sheshbazzar, the prince of Judah.
  4. Now this was their number: 30 gold dishes, 1,000 silver dishes, 29 duplicates;
  5. 30 gold bowls, 410 silver bowls of a second kind and 1,000 other articles.
  1. 금, 은기명의 도합이 오천 사백이라 사로잡힌 자를 바벨론에서 예루살렘으로 데리고 올 때에 세스바살이 그 기명들을 다 가지고 왔더라
  1. All the articles of gold and silver numbered 5,400. Sheshbazzar brought them all up with the exiles who went up from Babylon to Jerusalem.
 
  귀환자 명단(2:1-2:70)    
 
  1. 옛적에 바벨론 왕 느부갓네살에게 사로잡혀 바벨론으로 갔던 자의 자손 중에서 놓임을 받고 예루살렘과 유다 도로 돌아와 각기 본성에 이른 자
  2. 곧 스룹바벨과 예수아와 느헤미야와 스라야와 르엘라야와 모르드개와 빌산과 미스발과 비그왜와 르훔과 바아나등과 함께 나온 이스라엘 백성의 명수가 이러하니
  3. 바로스 자손이 이천 일백 칠십 이명이요
  4. 스바댜 자손이 삼백 칠십 이명이요
  5. 아라 자손이 칠백 칠십 오명이요
  1. Now these are the people of the province who came up out of the captivity of the exiles whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried away to Babylon, and returned to Jerusalem and Judah, each to his city.
  2. These came with Zerubbabel, Jeshua, Nehemiah, Seraiah, Reelaiah, Mordecai, Bilshan, Mispar, Bigvai, Rehum and Baanah. The number of the men of the people of Israel:
  3. the sons of Parosh, 2,172;
  4. the sons of Shephatiah, 372;
  5. the sons of Arah, 775;
  1. 바핫모압 자손 곧 예수아와 요압 자손이 이천 팔백 십 이명이요
  2. 엘람 자손이 일천 이백 오십 사명이요
  3. 삿두 자손이 구백 사십 오명이요
  4. 삭개 자손이 칠백 육십명이요

  1. the sons of Pahath-moab of the sons of Jeshua and Joab, 2,812;
  2. the sons of Elam, 1,254;
  3. the sons of Zattu, 945;
  4. the sons of Zaccai, 760;

  1. 브배 자손이 육백 이십 삼명이요
  2. 아스갓 자손이 일천 이백 이십 이명이요
  3. 아도니감 자손이 육백 육십 륙명이요

  1. 라마와 게바 자손이 육백 이십 일명이요

  1. 제사장들은 예수아의 집 여다야 자손이 구백 칠십 삼명이요
  2. 임멜 자손이 일천 오십 이명이요
  3. 바스훌 자손이 일천 이백 사십 칠명이요
  4. 하림 자손이 일천 십 칠명이었더라
  5. 레위 사람은 호다위야 자손 곧 예수아와 갓미엘 자손이 칠십 사명이요
  1. The priests: the sons of Jedaiah of the house of Jeshua, 973;
  2. the sons of Immer, 1,052;
  3. the sons of Pashhur, 1,247;
  4. the sons of Harim, 1,017.
  5. The Levites: the sons of Jeshua and Kadmiel, of the sons of Hodaviah, 74.
  1. 노래하는 자들은 아삽 자손이 일백 이십 팔명이요
  2. 문지기의 자손들은 살룸과 아델과 달문과 악굽과 하디다와 소배 자손이 모두 일백 삼십 구명이었더라
  3. 느디님 사람들은 시하 자손과 하수바 자손과 답바옷 자손과
  4. 게로스 자손과 시아하 자손과 바돈 자손과

  1. The singers: the sons of Asaph, 128.
  2. The sons of the gatekeepers: the sons of Shallum, the sons of Ater, the sons of Talmon, the sons of Akkub, the sons of Hatita, the sons of Shobai, in all 139.
  3. The temple servants: the sons of Ziha, the sons of Hasupha, the sons of Tabbaoth,
  4. the sons of Keros, the sons of Siaha, the sons of Padon,
  5. the sons of Lebanah, the sons of Hagabah, the sons of Akkub,
  1. 하갑 자손과 사믈래 자손과 하난 자손과
  2. 깃델 자손과 가할 자손과 르아야 자손과
  3. 르신 자손과 느고다 자손과 갓삼 자손과
  4. 웃사 자손과 바세아 자손과 베새 자손과
  5. 아스나 자손과 므우님 자손과 느부심 자손과
  1. the sons of Hagab, the sons of Shalmai, the sons of Hanan,
  2. the sons of Giddel, the sons of Gahar, the sons of Reaiah,
  3. the sons of Rezin, the sons of Nekoda, the sons of Gazzam,
  4. the sons of Uzza, the sons of Paseah, the sons of Besai,
  5. the sons of Asnah, the sons of Meunim, the sons of Nephisim,
  1. 박북 자손과 하그바 자손과 할훌 자손과
  2. 바슬룻 자손과 므히다 자손과 하르사 자손과
  3. 바르고스 자손과 시스라 자손과 데마 자손과
  4. 느시야 자손과 하디바 자손이었더라
  5. 솔로몬의 신복의 자손은 소대 자손과 하소베렛 자손과 브루다 자손과
  1. the sons of Bakbuk, the sons of Hakupha, the sons of Harhur,
  2. the sons of Bazluth, the sons of Mehida, the sons of Harsha,
  3. the sons of Barkos, the sons of Sisera, the sons of Temah,
  4. the sons of Neziah, the sons of Hatipha.
  5. The sons of Solomon's servants: the sons of Sotai, the sons of Hassophereth, the sons of Peruda,
  1. 야알라 자손과 다르곤 자손과 깃델 자손과
  2. 스바댜 자손과 하딜 자손과 보게렛하스바임 자손과 아미 자손이니
  3. 모든 느디님 사람과 솔로몬의 신복의 자손이 삼백 구십 이명이었더라
  4. 델멜라와 델하르사와 그룹과 앗단과 임멜에서 올라온 자가 있으나 그 종족과 보계가 이스라엘에 속하였는지는 증거할 수 없으니
  5. 저희는 들라야 자손과 도비야 자손과 느고다 자손이라 도합이 육백 오십 이명이요
  1. the sons of Jaalah, the sons of Darkon, the sons of Giddel,
  2. the sons of Shephatiah, the sons of Hattil, the sons of Pochereth-hazzebaim, the sons of Ami.
  3. All the temple servants and the sons of Solomon's servants were 392.
  4. Now these are those who came up from Tel-melah, Tel-harsha, Cherub, Addan and Immer, but they were not able to give evidence of their fathers' households and their descendants, whether they were of Israel:
  5. the sons of Delaiah, the sons of Tobiah, the sons of Nekoda, 652.
  1. 제사장 중에는 하바야 자손과 학고스 자손과 바르실래 자손이니 바르실래는 길르앗 사람 바르실래의 딸 중에 하나로 아내를 삼고 바르실래의 이름으로 이름한 자라
  2. 이 사람들이 보계 중에서 자기 이름을 찾아도 얻지 못한고로 저희를 부정하게 여겨 제사장의 직분을 행치 못하게 하고
  3. 방백이 저희에게 명하여 우림과 둠밈을 가진 제사장이 일어나기 전에는 지성물을 먹지 말라 하였느니라
  4. 온 회중의 합계가 사만 이천 삼백 육십명이요
  5. 그 외에 노비가 칠천 삼백 삼십 칠명이요 노래하는 남녀가 이백명이요
  1. Of the sons of the priests: the sons of Habaiah, the sons of Hakkoz, the sons of Barzillai, who took a wife from the daughters of Barzillai the Gileadite, and he was called by their name.
  2. These searched among their ancestral registration, but they could not be located; therefore they were considered unclean and excluded from the priesthood.
  3. The governor said to them that they should not eat from the most holy things until a priest stood up with Urim and Thummim.
  4. The whole assembly numbered 42,360,
  5. besides their male and female servants who numbered 7,337; and they had 200 singing men and women.
  1. 말이 칠백 삼십 륙이요 노새가 이백 사십 오요
  2. 약대가 사백 삼십 오요 나귀가 육천 칠백 이십이었더라
  3. 어떤 족장들이 예루살렘 여호와의 전터에 이르러 하나님의 전을 그곳에 다시 건축하려고 예물을 즐거이 드리되
  4. 역량대로 역사하는 곳간에 드리니 금이 육만 일천 다릭이요 은이 오천 마네요 제사장의 옷이 일백 벌이었더라
  5. 이에 제사장들과 레위 사람들과 백성 몇과 노래하는 자들과 문지기들과 느디님 사람들이 그 본성들에 거하고 이스라엘 무리도 그 본성들에 거하였느니라
  1. Their horses were 736; their mules, 245;
  2. their camels, 435; their donkeys, 6,720.
  3. Some of the heads of fathers' households, when they arrived at the house of the LORD which is in Jerusalem, offered willingly for the house of God to restore it on its foundation.
  4. According to their ability they gave to the treasury for the work 61,000 gold drachmas and 5,000 silver minas and 100 priestly garments.
  5. Now the priests and the Levites, some of the people, the singers, the gatekeepers and the temple servants lived in their cities, and all Israel in their cities.
