욥기 7:1-9:35

 욥의 답변과 호소가 계속되는 가운데 수아 사람 빌닷이 욥의 변명을 반박하였다. 빌닷은 공의로우신 하나님을 말하면서 욥의 자녀들이 죄의 대가로 죽은 것이라고 하였다. 그는 욥에게 옛 열조들의 경험과 지혜를 배우라고 권고하면서, 욥이 회개하면 다시 회복될 것이라고 충고하였다. 그러자 욥은 하나님의 강력한 권능과 자신의 약함을 대조하면서 자신의 순전함을 고백하였다.
  
  욥의 답변(7:1-7:21)    
 
  1. 세상에 있는 인생에게 전쟁이 있지 아니하냐 그 날이 품군의 날과 같지 아니하냐
  2. 종은 저물기를 심히 기다리고 품군은 그 삯을 바라나니
  3. 이와 같이 내가 여러 달째 곤고를 받으니 수고로운 밤이 내게 작정되었구나
  4. 내가 누울 때면 말하기를 언제나 일어날꼬, 언제나 밤이 갈꼬 하며 새벽까지 이리 뒤척, 저리 뒤척 하는구나
  5. 내 살에는 구더기와 흙 조각이 의복처럼 입혔고 내 가죽은 합창되었다가 터지는구나
  1. "Is not man forced to labor on earth, And are not his days like the days of a hired man?
  2. "As a slave who pants for the shade, And as a hired man who eagerly waits for his wages,
  3. So am I allotted months of vanity, And nights of trouble are appointed me.
  4. "When I lie down I say, 'When shall I arise?' But the night continues, And I am continually tossing until dawn.
  5. "My flesh is clothed with worms and a crust of dirt, My skin hardens and runs.
  1. 나의 날은 베틀의 북보다 빠르니 소망 없이 보내는구나
  2. 내 생명이 한 호흡 같음을 생각하옵소서 나의 눈이 다시 복된 것을 보지 못하리이다
  3. 나를 본 자의 눈이 다시는 나를 보지 못할 것이고 주의 눈이 나를 향하실찌라도 내가 있지 아니하리이다
  4. 구름이 사라져 없어짐 같이 음부로 내려가는 자는 다시 올라오지 못할 것이오니
  5. 그는 다시 자기 집으로 돌아가지 못하겠고 자기 처소도 다시 그를 알지 못하리이다
  1. "My days are swifter than a weaver's shuttle, And come to an end without hope.
  2. "Remember that my life is but breath; My eye will not again see good.
  3. "The eye of him who sees me will behold me no longer; Your eyes will be on me, but I will not be.
  4. "When a cloud vanishes, it is gone, So he who goes down to Sheol does not come up.
  5. "He will not return again to his house, Nor will his place know him anymore.
  1. 그런즉 내가 내 입을 금하지 아니하고 내 마음의 아픔을 인하여 말하며 내 영혼의 괴로움을 인하여 원망하리이다
  2. 내가 바다니이까 용이니이까 주께서 어찌하여 나를 지키시나이까
  3. 혹시 내가 말하기를 내 자리가 나를 위로하고 내 침상이 내 수심을 풀리라 할때에
  4. 주께서 꿈으로 나를 놀래시고 이상으로 나를 두렵게 하시나이다
  5. 이러므로 내 마음에 숨이 막히기를 원하오니 뼈보다도 죽는 것이 나으니이다
  1. "Therefore I will not restrain my mouth; I will speak in the anguish of my spirit, I will complain in the bitterness of my soul.
  2. "Am I the sea, or the sea monster, That You set a guard over me?
  3. "If I say, 'My bed will comfort me, My couch will ease my complaint,'
  4. Then You frighten me with dreams And terrify me by visions;
  5. So that my soul would choose suffocation, Death rather than my pains.
  1. 내가 생명을 싫어하고 항상 살기를 원치 아니하오니 나를 놓으소서 내 날은 헛것이니이다
  2. 사람이 무엇이관대 주께서 크게 여기사 그에게 마음을 두시고
  3. 아침마다 권징하시며 분초마다 시험하시나이까
  4. 주께서 내게서 눈을 돌이키지 아니하시며 나의 침 삼킬 동안도 나를 놓지 아니하시기를 어느 때까지 하시리이까
  5. 사람을 감찰하시는 자여 내가 범죄하였은들 주께 무슨 해가 되오리이까 어찌하여 나로 과녁을 삼으셔서 스스로 무거운 짐이 되게 하셨나이까
  1. "I waste away; I will not live forever Leave me alone, for my days are but a breath.
  2. "What is man that You magnify him, And that You are concerned about him,
  3. That You examine him every morning And try him every moment?
  4. "Will You never turn Your gaze away from me, Nor let me alone until I swallow my spittle?
  5. "Have I sinned? What have I done to You, O watcher of men? Why have You set me as Your target, So that I am a burden to myself?
  1. 주께서 어찌하여 내 허물을 사하여 주지 아니하시며 내 죄악을 제하여 버리지 아니 하시나이까 내가 이제 흙에 누우리니 주께서 나를 부지런히 찾으실찌라도 내가 있지 아니하리이다
  1. "Why then do You not pardon my transgression And take away my iniquity? For now I will lie down in the dust; And You will seek me, but I will not be."
 
  빌닷의 첫번째 충고(8:1-8:22)    
 
  1. 수아 사람 빌닷이 대답하여 가로되
  2. 네가 어느 때까지 이런 말을 하겠으며 어느 때까지 네 입의 말이 광풍과 같겠는가
  3. 하나님이 어찌 심판을 굽게 하시겠으며 전능하신이가 어찌 공의를 굽게 하시겠는가
  4. 네 자녀들이 주께 득죄하였으므로 주께서 그들을 그 죄에 붙이셨나니
  5. 네가 만일 하나님을 부지런히 구하며 전능하신이에게 빌고
  1. Then Bildad the Shuhite answered,
  2. "How long will you say these things, And the words of your mouth be a mighty wind?
  3. "Does God pervert justice? Or does the Almighty pervert what is right?
  4. "If your sons sinned against Him, Then He delivered them into the power of their transgression.
  5. "If you would seek God And implore the compassion of the Almighty,
  1. 또 청결하고 정직하면 정녕 너를 돌아보시고 네 의로운 집으로 형통하게 하실 것이라
  2. 네 시작은 미약하였으나 네 나중은 심히 창대하리라
  3. 청컨대 너는 옛시대 사람에게 물으며 열조의 터득한 일을 배울찌어다
  4. （우리는 어제부터 있었을 뿐이라 지식이 망매하니 세상에 있는 날이 그림자와 같으니라）
  5. 그들이 네게 가르쳐 이르지 아니하겠느냐 그 마음에서 나는 말을 발하지 아니하겠느냐
  1. If you are pure and upright, Surely now He would rouse Himself for you And restore your righteous estate.
  2. "Though your beginning was insignificant, Yet your end will increase greatly.
  3. "Please inquire of past generations, And consider the things searched out by their fathers.
  4. "For we are only of yesterday and know nothing, Because our days on earth are as a shadow.
  5. "Will they not teach you and tell you, And bring forth words from their minds?
  1. 왕골이 진펄이 아니고 나겠으며 갈대가 물 없이 자라겠느냐
  2. 이런 것은 푸르러도 아직 벨 때 되기 전에 다른 풀보다 일찌기 마르느니라
  3. 하나님을 잊어버리는 자의 길은 다 이와 같고 사곡한 자의 소망은 없어지리니
  4. 그 믿는 것이 끊어지고 그 의지하는 것이 거미줄 같은즉
  5. 그 집을 의지할찌라도 집이 서지 못하고 굳게 잡아도 집이 보존되지 못하리라
  1. "Can the papyrus grow up without a marsh? Can the rushes grow without water?
  2. "While it is still green and not cut down, Yet it withers before any other plant.
  3. "So are the paths of all who forget God; And the hope of the godless will perish,
  4. Whose confidence is fragile, And whose trust a spider's web.
  5. "He trusts in his house, but it does not stand; He holds fast to it, but it does not endure.
  1. 식물이 일광을 받고 푸르러서 그 가지가 동산에 벋어가며
  2. 그 뿌리가 돌 무더기에 서리어서 돌 가운데로 들어 갔을찌라도
  3. 그곳에서 뽑히면 그 자리도 모르는체하고 이르기를 내가 너를 보지 못하였다 하리니
  4. 그 길의 희락은 이와 같고 그 후에 다른 것이 흙에서 나리라
  5. 하나님은 순전한 사람을 버리지 아니하시고 악한 자를 붙들어 주지 아니하신즉
  1. "He thrives before the sun, And his shoots spread out over his garden.
  2. "His roots wrap around a rock pile, He grasps a house of stones.
  3. "If he is removed from his place, Then it will deny him, saying, 'I never saw you.'
  4. "Behold, this is the joy of His way; And out of the dust others will spring.
  5. "Lo, God will not reject a man of integrity, Nor will He support the evildoers.
  1. 웃음으로 네 입에, 즐거운 소리로 네 입술에 채우시리니
  2. 너를 미워하는 자는 부끄러움을 입을 것이라 악인의 장막은 없어지리라
  1. "He will yet fill your mouth with laughter And your lips with shouting.
  2. "Those who hate you will be clothed with shame, And the tent of the wicked will be no longer."
 
  욥의 대답(9:1-9:35)    
 
  1. 욥이 대답하여 가로되
  2. 내가 진실로 그 일이 그런줄을 알거니와 인생이 어찌 하나님 앞에 의로우랴
  3. 사람이 하나님과 쟁변하려 할찌라도 천 마디에 한 마디도 대답하지 못하리라
  4. 하나님은 마음이 지혜로우시고 힘이 강하시니 스스로 강퍅히 하여 그를 거역하고 형통한 자가 누구이랴
  5. 그가 진노하심으로 산을 무너뜨리시며 옮기실찌라도 산이 깨닫지 못하며
  1. Then Job answered,
  2. "In truth I know that this is so; But how can a man be in the right before God?
  3. "If one wished to dispute with Him, He could not answer Him once in a thousand times.
  4. "Wise in heart and mighty in strength, Who has defied Him without harm?
  5. "It is God who removes the mountains, they know not how, When He overturns them in His anger;
  1. 그가 땅을 움직여 그 자리에서 미신즉 그 기둥이 흔들리며
  2. 그가 해를 명하여 뜨지 못하게 하시며 별들을 봉하시며
  3. 그가 홀로 하늘을 펴시며 바다 물결을 밟으시며
  4. 북두성과 삼성과 묘성과 남방의 밀실을 만드셨으며
  5. 측량할 수 없는 큰 일을, 셀 수 없는 기이한 일을 행하시느니라
  1. Who shakes the earth out of its place, And its pillars tremble;
  2. Who commands the sun not to shine, And sets a seal upon the stars;
  3. Who alone stretches out the heavens And tramples down the waves of the sea;
  4. Who makes the Bear, Orion and the Pleiades, And the chambers of the south;
  5. Who does great things, unfathomable, And wondrous works without number.
  1. 그가 내 앞으로 지나시나 내가 보지 못하며 그가 내 앞에서 나아가시나 내가 깨닫지 못하느니라
  2. 하나님이 빼앗으시면 누가 막을 수 있으며 무엇을 하시나이까 누가 물을 수 있으랴
  3. 하나님이 진노를 돌이키지 아니하시나니 라합을 돕는 자들이 그 아래 굴복하겠거든
  4. 하물며 내가 감히 대답하겠으며 무슨 말을 택하여 더불어 변론하랴
  5. 가령 내가 의로울찌라도 감히 대답하지 못하고 나를 심판하실 그에게 간구하였을 뿐이며
  1. "Were He to pass by me, I would not see Him; Were He to move past me, I would not perceive Him.
  2. "Were He to snatch away, who could restrain Him? Who could say to Him, 'What are You doing?'
  3. "God will not turn back His anger; Beneath Him crouch the helpers of Rahab.
  4. "How then can I answer Him, And choose my words before Him?
  5. "For though I were right, I could not answer; I would have to implore the mercy of my judge.
  1. 가령 내가 그를 부르므로 그가 내게 대답하셨을찌라도 내 음성을 들으셨다고는 내가 믿지 아니하리라
  2. 그가 폭풍으로 나를 꺾으시고 까닭 없이 내 상처를 많게 하시며
  3. 나로 숨을 쉬지 못하게 하시며 괴로움으로 내게 채우시는구나
  4. 힘으로 말하면 그가 강하시고 심판으로 말하면 누가 그를 호출하겠느냐
  5. 가령 내가 의로울찌라도 내 입이 나를 정죄하리니 가령 내가 순전할찌라도 나의 패괴함을 증거하리라
  1. "If I called and He answered me, I could not believe that He was listening to my voice.
  2. "For He bruises me with a tempest And multiplies my wounds without cause.
  3. "He will not allow me to get my breath, But saturates me with bitterness.
  4. "If it is a matter of power, behold, He is the strong one! And if it is a matter of justice, who can summon Him?
  5. "Though I am righteous, my mouth will condemn me; Though I am guiltless, He will declare me guilty.
  1. 나는 순전하다마는 내가 나를 돌아보지 아니하고 내 생명을 천히 여기는구나
  2. 일이 다 일반이라 그러므로 나는 말하기를 하나님이 순전한 자나 악한 자나 멸망시키신다 하나니
  3. 홀연히 재앙이 내려 도륙될 때에 무죄한 자의 고난을 그가 비웃으시리라
  4. 세상이 악인의 손에 붙이웠고 재판관의 얼굴도 가리워졌나니 그렇게 되게 한 이가 그가 아니시면 누구이뇨
  5. 나의 날이 체부보다 빠르니 달려가므로 복을 볼 수 없구나
  1. "I am guiltless; I do not take notice of myself; I despise my life.
  2. "It is all one; therefore I say, 'He destroys the guiltless and the wicked.'
  3. "If the scourge kills suddenly, He mocks the despair of the innocent.
  4. "The earth is given into the hand of the wicked; He covers the faces of its judges. If it is not He, then who is it?
  5. "Now my days are swifter than a runner; They flee away, they see no good.
  1. 그 지나가는 것이 빠른 배 같고 움킬 것에 날아 내리는 독수리와도 같구나
  2. 가령 내가 말하기를 내 원통함을 잊고 얼굴 빛을 고쳐 즐거운 모양을 하자 할찌라도
  3. 오히려 내 모든 고통을 두려워하오니 주께서 나를 무죄히 여기지 않으실 줄을 아나이다
  4. 내가 정죄하심을 입을찐대 어찌 헛되이 수고하리이까
  5. 내가 눈 녹은 물로 몸을 씻고 잿물로 손을 깨끗이 할찌라도
  1. "They slip by like reed boats, Like an eagle that swoops on its prey.
  2. "Though I say, 'I will forget my complaint, I will leave off my sad countenance and be cheerful,'
  3. I am afraid of all my pains, I know that You will not acquit me.
  4. "I am accounted wicked, Why then should I toil in vain?
  5. "If I should wash myself with snow And cleanse my hands with lye,
  1. 주께서 나를 개천에 빠지게 하시리니 내 옷이라도 나를 싫어하리이다
  2. 하나님은 나처럼 사람이 아니신즉 내가 그에게 대답함도 불가하고 대질하여 재판할 수도 없고
  3. 양척 사이에 손을 얹을 판결자도 없구나
  4. 주께서 그 막대기를 내게서 떠나게 하시고 그 위엄으로 나를 두렵게 하지 아니 하시기를 원하노라
  5. 그리하시면 내가 두려움 없이 말하리라 나는 본래 그런 자가 아니니라
  1. Yet You would plunge me into the pit, And my own clothes would abhor me.
  2. "For He is not a man as I am that I may answer Him, That we may go to court together.
  3. "There is no umpire between us, Who may lay his hand upon us both.
  4. "Let Him remove His rod from me, And let not dread of Him terrify me.
  5. "Then I would speak and not fear Him; But I am not like that in myself.
