	이사야 6:1-8:22 예언자의 소명을 받은 이사야는 유다가 바벨론의 포로가 될 때까지 하나님의 심판이 계속될 것을 알았다. 이사야는 근심하는 유다 왕 아하스에게 하나님의 승리가 보장되었으나 그의 불신앙으로 인해 심판이 임할 것이라고 예언하였다. 또한, 유다가 심판을 받은 후에 앗수르는 멸망되고 유다는 구원될 것이라고 예언하였다.

	이사야의 소명(6:1-6:13)

웃시야왕의 죽던 해에 내가 본즉 주께서 높이 들린 보좌에 앉으셨는데 그 옷자락은 성전에 가득하였고

스랍들은 모셔 섰는데 각기 여섯 날개가 있어 그 둘로는 그 얼굴을 가리었고 그 둘로는 그 발을 가리었고 그 둘로는 날며

서로 창화하여 가로되 거룩하다 거룩하다 거룩하다 만군의 여호와여 그 영광이 온 땅에 충만하도다

이 같이 창화하는 자의 소리로 인하여 문지방의 터가 요동하며 집에 연기가 충만한지라

그 때에 내가 말하되 화로다 나여 망하게 되었도다 나는 입술이 부정한 사람이요 입술이 부정한 백성 중에 거하면서 만군의 여호와이신 왕을 뵈었음이로다

In the year of King Uzziah's death I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, lofty and exalted, with the train of His robe filling the temple.

Seraphim stood above Him, each having six wings: with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew.

And one called out to another and said, "Holy, Holy, Holy, is the LORD of hosts, The whole earth is full of His glory."

And the foundations of the thresholds trembled at the voice of him who called out, while the temple was filling with smoke.

Then I said, "Woe is me, for I am ruined! Because I am a man of unclean lips, And I live among a people of unclean lips; For my eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts."

때에 그 스랍의 하나가 화저로 단에서 취한바 핀 숯을 손에 가지고 내게로 날아와서

그것을 내 입에 대며 가로되 보라 이것이 네 입에 닿았으니 네 악이 제하여졌고 네 죄가 사하여졌느니라 하더라

내가 또 주의 목소리를 들은즉 이르시되 내가 누구를 보내며 누가 우리를 위하여 갈꼬 그 때에 내가 가로되 내가 여기 있나이다 나를 보내소서

여호와께서 가라사대 가서 이 백성에게 이르기를 너희가 듣기는 들어도 깨닫지 못할 것이요 보기는 보아도 알지 못하리라 하여

이 백성의 마음으로 둔하게 하며 그 귀가 막히고 눈이 감기게 하라 염려컨대 그들이 눈으로 보고 귀로 듣고 마음으로 깨닫고 다시 돌아와서 고침을 받을까 하노라

Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a burning coal in his hand, which he had taken from the altar with tongs.

He touched my mouth with it and said, "Behold, this has touched your lips; and your iniquity is taken away and your sin is forgiven."

Then I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, "Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?" Then I said, "Here am I. Send me!"

He said, "Go, and tell this people: 'Keep on listening, but do not perceive; Keep on looking, but do not understand.'

"Render the hearts of this people insensitive, Their ears dull, And their eyes dim, Otherwise they might see with their eyes, Hear with their ears, Understand with their hearts, And return and be healed."

내가 가로되 주여 어느 때까지니이까 대답하시되 성읍들은 황폐하여 거민이 없으며 가옥들에는 사람이 없고 이 토지가 전폐하게 되며

사람들이 여호와께 멀리 옮기워서 이 땅 가운데 폐한 곳이 많을 때까지니라

그 중에 십분의 일이 오히려 남아 있을찌라도 이것도 삼키운바 될 것이나 밤나무, 상수리나무가 베임을 당하여도 그 그루터기는 남아 있는 것 같이 거룩한 씨가 이 땅의 그루터기니라

Then I said, "Lord, how long?" And He answered, "Until cities are devastated and without inhabitant, Houses are without people And the land is utterly desolate,

"The LORD has removed men far away, And the forsaken places are many in the midst of the land.

"Yet there will be a tenth portion in it, And it will again be subject to burning, Like a terebinth or an oak Whose stump remains when it is felled The holy seed is its stump."

	임마누엘의 징표(7:1-7:25)

웃시야의 손자요 요담의 아들인 유다 왕 아하스 때에 아람 왕 르신과 르말리야의 아들 이스라엘 왕 베가가 올라와서 예루살렘을 쳤으나 능히 이기지 못하니라

혹이 다윗집에 고하여 가로되 아람이 에브라임과 동맹하였다 하였으므로 왕의 마음과 그 백성의 마음이 삼림이 바람에 흔들림 같이 흔들렸더라

때에 여호와께서 이사야에게 이르시되 너와 네 아들 스알야숩은 윗못 수도 끝 세탁자의 밭 큰 길에 나가서 아하스를 만나

그에게 이르기를 너는 삼가며 종용하라 아람 왕 르신과 르말리야의 아들이 심히 노할찌라도 연기나는 두 부지깽이 그루터기에 불과하니 두려워 말며 낙심치 말라

아람과 에브라임 왕과 르말리야의 아들이 악한 꾀로 너를 대적하여 이르기를

Now it came about in the days of Ahaz, the son of Jotham, the son of Uzziah, king of Judah, that Rezin the king of Aram and Pekah the son of Remaliah, king of Israel, went up to Jerusalem to wage war against it, but could not conquer it.

When it was reported to the house of David, saying, "The Arameans have camped in Ephraim," his heart and the hearts of his people shook as the trees of the forest shake with the wind.

Then the LORD said to Isaiah, "Go out now to meet Ahaz, you and your son Shear-jashub, at the end of the conduit of the upper pool, on the highway to the fuller's field,

and say to him, 'Take care and be calm, have no fear and do not be fainthearted because of these two stubs of smoldering firebrands, on account of the fierce anger of Rezin and Aram and the son of Remaliah.

'Because Aram, with Ephraim and the son of Remaliah, has planned evil against you, saying,

우리가 올라가 유다를 쳐서 그것을 곤하게 하고 우리를 위하여 그것을 파하고 다브엘의 아들을 그 중에 세워 왕을 삼자 하였으나

주 여호와의 말씀에 이 도모가 서지 못하며 이루지 못하리라

대저 아람의 머리는 다메섹이요 다메섹의 머리는 르신이며 에브라임의 머리는 사마리아요 사마리아의 머리는 르말리야의 아들이라도 육십 오년 내에 에브라임이 패하여 다시는 나라를 이루지 못하리라 만일 너희가 믿지 아니하면 정녕히 굳게 서지 못하리라 하셨다 할찌니라

여호와께서 또 아하스에게 일러 가라사대

"Let us go up against Judah and terrorize it, and make for ourselves a breach in its walls and set up the son of Tabeel as king in the midst of it,"

thus says the Lord GOD: "It shall not stand nor shall it come to pass.

"For the head of Aram is Damascus and the head of Damascus is Rezin (now within another 65 years Ephraim will be shattered, so that it is no longer a people),

and the head of Ephraim is Samaria and the head of Samaria is the son of Remaliah. If you will not believe, you surely shall not last."'"

Then the LORD spoke again to Ahaz, saying,

너는 네 하나님 여호와께 한 징조를 구하되 깊은데서든지 높은데서든지 구하라

아하스가 가로되 나는 구하지 아니하겠나이다 나는 여호와를 시험치 아니하겠나이다 한지라

이사야가 가로되 다윗의 집이여 청컨대 들을찌어다 너희가 사람을 괴롭게 하고 그것을 작은 일로 여겨서 또 나의 하나님을 괴로우시게 하려느냐

그러므로 주께서 친히 징조로 너희에게 주실 것이라 보라 처녀가 잉태하여 아들을 낳을 것이요 그 이름을 임마누엘이라 하리라

그가 악을 버리며 선을 택할줄 알 때에 미쳐 뻐터와 꿀을 먹을 것이라

"Ask a sign for yourself from the LORD your God; make it deep as Sheol or high as heaven."

But Ahaz said, "I will not ask, nor will I test the LORD!"

Then he said, "Listen now, O house of David! Is it too slight a thing for you to try the patience of men, that you will try the patience of my God as well?

"Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, a virgin will be with child and bear a son, and she will call His name Immanuel.

"He will eat curds and honey at the time He knows enough to refuse evil and choose good.

대저 이 아이가 악을 버리며 선을 택할줄 알기 전에 너의 미워하는 두 왕의 땅이 폐한바 되리라

여호와께서 에브라임이 유다를 떠날 때부터 당하여 보지 못한 날을 너와 네 백성과 네 아비 집에 임하게 하시리니 곧 앗수르 왕의 오는 날이니라

그 날에는 여호와께서 애굽 하수에서 먼 지경의 파리와 앗수르 땅의 벌을 부르시리니

다 와서 거친 골짜기와 바위틈과 가시나무 울타리와 모든 초장에 앉으리라

그 날에는 주께서 하수 저편에서 세내어 온 삭도 곧 앗수르 왕으로 네 백성의 머리털과 발털을 미실 것이요 수염도 깎으시리라

"For before the boy will know enough to refuse evil and choose good, the land whose two kings you dread will be forsaken.

"The LORD will bring on you, on your people, and on your father's house such days as have never come since the day that Ephraim separated from Judah, the king of Assyria."

In that day the LORD will whistle for the fly that is in the remotest part of the rivers of Egypt and for the bee that is in the land of Assyria.

They will all come and settle on the steep ravines, on the ledges of the cliffs, on all the thorn bushes and on all the watering places.

In that day the Lord will shave with a razor, hired from regions beyond the Euphrates (that is, with the king of Assyria), the head and the hair of the legs; and it will also remove the beard.

그 날에는 사람이 한 어린 암소와 두 양을 기르리니

그 내는 젖이 많으므로 뻐터를 먹을 것이라 무릇 그 땅 가운데 남아 있는 자는 뻐터와 꿀을 먹으리라

그 날에는 천 주에 은 일천 개의 가치 되는 포도나무 있던 곳마다 질려와 형극이 날 것이라

온 땅에 질려와 형극이 있으므로 살과 활을 가지고 그리로 갈 것이요

보습으로 갈던 산에도 질려와 형극 까닭에 두려워서 그리로 가지 못할 것이요 그 땅은 소를 놓으며 양의 밟는 곳이 되리라

Now in that day a man may keep alive a heifer and a pair of sheep;

and because of the abundance of the milk produced he will eat curds, for everyone that is left within the land will eat curds and honey.

And it will come about in that day, that every place where there used to be a thousand vines, valued at a thousand shekels of silver, will become briars and thorns.

People will come there with bows and arrows because all the land will be briars and thorns.

As for all the hills which used to be cultivated with the hoe, you will not go there for fear of briars and thorns; but they will become a place for pasturing oxen and for sheep to trample.

	거치는 돌(8:1-8:22)

여호와께서 내게 이르시되 너는 큰 서판을 취하여 그 위에 통용 문자로 마헬살랄하스바스라 쓰라

내가 진실한 증인 제사장 우리야와 여베레기야의 아들 스가랴를 불러 증거하게 하리라 하시더니

내가 내 아내와 동침하매 그가 잉태하여 아들을 낳은지라 여호와께서 내게 이르시되 그 이름을 마헬살랄하스바스라 하라

이는 이 아이가 내 아빠, 내 엄마라 할줄 알기 전에 다메섹의 재물과 사마리아의 노략물이 앗수르 왕 앞에 옮긴바 될 것임이니라

여호와께서 다시 내게 일러 가라사대

Then the LORD said to me, "Take for yourself a large tablet and write on it in ordinary letters: Swift is the booty, speedy is the prey.

"And I will take to Myself faithful witnesses for testimony, Uriah the priest and Zechariah the son of Jeberechiah."

So I approached the prophetess, and she conceived and gave birth to a son. Then the LORD said to me, "Name him Maher-shalal-hash-baz;

for before the boy knows how to cry out 'My father' or 'My mother,' the wealth of Damascus and the spoil of Samaria will be carried away before the king of Assyria."

Again the LORD spoke to me further, saying,

이 백성이 천천히 흐르는 실로아 물을 버리고 르신과 르말리야의 아들을 기뻐하나니

그러므로 주 내가 흉용하고 창일한 큰 하수 곧 앗수르 왕과 그의 모든 위력으로 그들 위에 덮을 것이라 그 모든 곬에 차고 모든 언덕에 넘쳐

흘러 유다에 들어와서 창일하고 목에까지 미치리라 임마누엘이여 그의 펴는 날개가 네 땅에 편만하리라 하셨느니라

너희 민족들아 훤화하라 필경 패망하리라 너희 먼 나라 백성들아 들을지니라 너희 허리를 동이라 필경 패망하리라 너희 허리에 띠를 띠라 필경 패망하리라

너희는 함께 도모하라 필경 이루지 못하리라 말을 내어라 시행되지 못하리라 이는 하나님이 우리와 함께 하심이니라

"Inasmuch as these people have rejected the gently flowing waters of Shiloah And rejoice in Rezin and the son of Remaliah;

"Now therefore, behold, the Lord is about to bring on them the strong and abundant waters of the Euphrates, Even the king of Assyria and all his glory; And it will rise up over all its channels and go over all its banks.

"Then it will sweep on into Judah, it will overflow and pass through, It will reach even to the neck; And the spread of its wings will fill the breadth of your land, O Immanuel.

"Be broken, O peoples, and be shattered; And give ear, all remote places of the earth. Gird yourselves, yet be shattered; Gird yourselves, yet be shattered.

"Devise a plan, but it will be thwarted; State a proposal, but it will not stand, For God is with us."

여호와께서 강한 손으로 내게 알게 하시며 이 백성의 길로 행치 말 것을 내게 경성시켜 가라사대

이 백성이 맹약한 자가 있다 말하여도 너희는 그 모든 말을 따라 맹약한 자가 있다 하지 말며 그들의 두려워하는 것을 너희는 두려워하지 말며 놀라지 말고

만군의 여호와 그를 너희가 거룩하다 하고 그로 너희의 두려워하며 놀랄 자를 삼으라

그가 거룩한 피할 곳이 되시리라 그러나 이스라엘의 두 집에는 거치는 돌, 걸리는 반석이 되실 것이며 예루살렘 거민에게는 함정, 올무가 되시리니

많은 사람들이 그로 인하여 거칠 것이며 넘어질 것이며 부러질 것이며 걸릴 것이며 잡힐 것이니라

For thus the LORD spoke to me with mighty power and instructed me not to walk in the way of this people, saying,

"You are not to say, 'It is a conspiracy!' In regard to all that this people call a conspiracy, And you are not to fear what they fear or be in dread of it.

"It is the LORD of hosts whom you should regard as holy. And He shall be your fear, And He shall be your dread.

"Then He shall become a sanctuary; But to both the houses of Israel, a stone to strike and a rock to stumble over, And a snare and a trap for the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

"Many will stumble over them, Then they will fall and be broken; They will even be snared and caught."

너는 증거의 말씀을 싸매며 율법을 나의 제자 중에 봉함하라

이제 야곱 집에 대하여 낯을 가리우시는 여호와를 나는 기다리며 그를 바라보리라

보라 나와 및 여호와께서 내게 주신 자녀들이 이스라엘 중에 징조와 예표가 되었나니 이는 시온산에 계신 만군의 여호와께로 말미암은 것이니라

혹이 너희에게 고하기를 지절거리며 속살거리는 신접한 자와 마술사에게 물으라 하거든 백성이 자기 하나님께 구할것이 아니냐 산 자를 위하여 죽은 자에게 구하겠느냐 하라

마땅히 율법과 증거의 말씀을 좇을지니 그들의 말하는 바가 이 말씀에 맞지 아니하면 그들이 정녕히 아침 빛을 보지 못하고

Bind up the testimony, seal the law among my disciples.

And I will wait for the LORD who is hiding His face from the house of Jacob; I will even look eagerly for Him.

Behold, I and the children whom the LORD has given me are for signs and wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, who dwells on Mount Zion.

When they say to you, "Consult the mediums and the spiritists who whisper and mutter," should not a people consult their God? Should they consult the dead on behalf of the living?

To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, it is because they have no dawn.

이 땅으로 헤매며 곤고하며 주릴 것이라 그 주릴 때에 번조하여 자기의 왕 자기의 하나님을 저주할 것이며 위를 쳐다보거나

땅을 굽어보아도 환난과 흑암과 고통의 흑암 뿐이리니 그들이 심한 흑암 중으로 쫓겨 들어가리라

They will pass through the land hard-pressed and famished, and it will turn out that when they are hungry, they will be enraged and curse their king and their God as they face upward.

Then they will look to the earth, and behold, distress and darkness, the gloom of anguish; and they will be driven away into darkness.
