마태복음 11:25-12:21

 수고하고 무거운 짐 진 자들을 안식으로 초대하신 예수님은 안식일의 주인으로서 율법의 근본 정신인 자비를 강조하셨다. 이에 바리새인들은 예수님을 죽이려고 의논하였다.
  
  안식으로의 초대(11:25-11:30)    
 
  1. 그 때에 예수께서 이렇게 말씀하였다. "하늘과 땅의 주님이신 아버지, 이 일을 지혜 있고 똑똑한 사람들에게는 감추시고, 어린아이들에게는 드러내어 주셨으니, 감사합니다.
  2. 그렇습니다. 아버지, 이것이 아버지의 은혜로운 뜻입니다.
  3. 내 아버지께서 모든 것을 내게 맡겨주셨습니다. 아버지 밖에는 아들을 아는 이가 없으며, 아들과 또 아들이 계시하여 주려고 하는 사람 밖에는 아버지를 아는 이가 없습니다."
  4. "수고하며 무거운 짐을 진 사람은 모두 내게로 오너라. 내가 너희를 쉬게 하겠다.
  5. 나는 마음이 온유하고 겸손하니, 내 멍에를 메고 나한테 배워라. 그리하면 너희는 마음에 쉼을 얻을 것이다.
  1. At that time Jesus said, "I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children.
  2. Yes, Father, for this was your good pleasure.
  3. "All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.
  4. "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
  5. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
  1. 내 멍에는 편하고, 내 짐은 가볍다."
  1. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."
 
  안식일의 주인(12:1-12:21)    
 
  1. 그 무렵에 예수께서 안식일에 밀밭 사이로 지나가셨다. 그런데 제자들이 배가 고파서, 밀 이삭을 잘라서 먹기 시작하였다.
  2. 바리새파 사람이 이것을 보고 예수께 말하였다. "보십시오. 당신의 제자들이 안식일에 해서는 안 되는 일을 하고 있습니다."
  3. 예수께서 그들에게 말씀하셨다. "다윗과 그 일행이 굶주렸을 때에, 다윗이 어떻게 했는지를, 너희는 읽어보지 못하였느냐?
  4. 다윗이 하나님의 집에 들어가서, 제단에 차려 놓은 빵을 먹지 않았느냐? 그것은 오직 제사장들 밖에는, 자기도 그 일행도 먹어서는 안 되는 것이었는데 말이다.
  5. 또 안식일에 성전에서 제사장들이 안식일을 범해도 그것이 죄가 되지 않는다는 것을, 율법책에서 읽어보지 못하였느냐?
  1. At that time Jesus went through the grainfields on the Sabbath. His disciples were hungry and began to pick some heads of grain and eat them.
  2. When the Pharisees saw this, they said to him, "Look! Your disciples are doing what is unlawful on the Sabbath."
  3. He answered, "Haven't you read what David did when he and his companions were hungry?
  4. He entered the house of God, and he and his companions ate the consecrated bread--which was not lawful for them to do, but only for the priests.
  5. Or haven't you read in the Law that on the Sabbath the priests in the temple desecrate the day and yet are innocent?
  1. 내가 너희에게 말한다. 성전보다 더 큰 이가 여기에 있다.
  2. '나는 자비를 원하고, 제사를 원하지 않는다' 하신 말씀이 무슨 뜻인지 알았더라면, 너희가 죄 없는 사람들을 정죄하지 않았을 것이다.
  3. 인자는 안식일의 주인이다."
  4. 예수께서 그 곳을 떠나서, 그들의 회당에 들어가셨다.
  5. 그런데 거기에 한쪽 손이 오그라든 사람이 있었다. 사람들은 예수를 고발하려고 "안식일에 병을 고쳐도 괜찮습니까?" 하고 예수께 물었다.
  1. I tell you that one greater than the temple is here.
  2. If you had known what these words mean, 'I desire mercy, not sacrifice,' you would not have condemned the innocent.
  3. For the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath."
  4. Going on from that place, he went into their synagogue,
  5. and a man with a shriveled hand was there. Looking for a reason to accuse Jesus, they asked him, "Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?"
  1. 예수께서 그들에게 말씀하셨다. "너희 가운데 어떤 사람에게 양 한 마리가 있다고 하자. 그것이 안식일에 구덩이에 빠지면, 그것을 잡아 끌어올리지 않을 사람이 어디에 있겠느냐?
  2. 사람이 양보다 얼마나 더 귀하냐? 그러므로 안식일에 좋은 일을 하는 것은 괜찮다."
  3. 그런 다음에, 손이 오그라든 사람에게 말씀하셨다. "네 손을 내밀어라." 그가 손을 내미니, 다른 손과 같이 성하게 되었다.
  4. 그래서 바리새파 사람들은 밖으로 나가서, 예수를 없앨 모의를 하였다.
  5. 그러나 예수께서 이 일을 아시고서, 거기에서 떠나셨다. 그런데 많은 무리가 예수를 따라왔다. 예수께서는 그들을 모두 고쳐 주셨다.
  1. He said to them, "If any of you has a sheep and it falls into a pit on the Sabbath, will you not take hold of it and lift it out?
  2. How much more valuable is a man than a sheep! Therefore it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath."
  3. Then he said to the man, "Stretch out your hand." So he stretched it out and it was completely restored, just as sound as the other.
  4. But the Pharisees went out and plotted how they might kill Jesus.
  5. Aware of this, Jesus withdrew from that place. Many followed him, and he healed all their sick,
  1. 그리고 자기를 세상에 드러내지 말라고, 단단히 당부하셨다.
  2. 이것은 예언자 이사야를 시켜서 하신 말씀을 이루시려는 것이었다.
  3. "보아라, 내가 뽑은 나의 종, 내 마음에 드는 사랑하는 자, 내가 내 영을 그에게 줄 것이니, 그는 이방 사람들에게 공의를 선포할 것이다.
  4. 그는 다투지도 않고, 외치지도 않을 것이다. 거리에서 그의 소리를 들을 사람이 없을 것이다.
  5. 정의가 이길 때까지, 그는 상한 갈대를 꺾지 않고, 꺼져 가는 심지를 끄지 않을 것이다.
  1. warning them not to tell who he was.
  2. This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah:
  3. "Here is my servant whom I have chosen, the one I love, in whom I delight; I will put my Spirit on him, and he will proclaim justice to the nations.
  4. He will not quarrel or cry out; no one will hear his voice in the streets.
  5. A bruised reed he will not break, and a smoldering wick he will not snuff out, till he leads justice to victory.
  1. 이방 사람들이 그 이름에 희망을 걸 것이다."
  1. In his name the nations will put their hope."
