마태복음 26:69-27:14

 예수님을 따르던 베드로는 예언대로 예수님을 세 번 부인하였다. 총독 빌라도에게 넘겨진 예수님은 다시 심문을 받게 되었고 무죄한 예수님을 팔아 넘긴 유다는 자살하고 말았다.
  
  제자들의 배반(26:69-27:14)    
 
  1. 베드로가 안뜰 바깥쪽에 앉아 있었는데, 한 하녀가 그에게 다가와서 말하였다. "당신도 저 갈릴리 사람 예수와 함께 다닌 사람이네요."
  2. 베드로는 여러 사람 앞에서 부인하였다. "나는 네가 무슨 말을 하는지 모르겠다."
  3. 그리고서 베드로가 대문 있는 데로 나갔을 때에, 다른 하녀가 그를 보고, 거기에 있는 사람들에게 말하였다. "이 사람은 나사렛 예수와 함께 다니던 사람입니다."
  4. 그러자 베드로는 맹세하고 다시 부인하였다. "나는 그 사람을 알지 못하오."
  5. 조금 뒤에 거기에 서 있는 사람들이 베드로에게 다가와서 베드로에게 말하였다. "당신은 틀림없이 그들과 한패요. 당신의 말씨를 보니, 당신이 누군지 분명히 드러나오."
  1. Now Peter was sitting out in the courtyard, and a servant girl came to him. "You also were with Jesus of Galilee," she said.
  2. But he denied it before them all. "I don't know what you're talking about," he said.
  3. Then he went out to the gateway, where another girl saw him and said to the people there, "This fellow was with Jesus of Nazareth."
  4. He denied it again, with an oath: "I don't know the man!"
  5. After a little while, those standing there went up to Peter and said, "Surely you are one of them, for your accent gives you away."
  1. 그 때에 베드로는 저주하며 맹세하여 말하였다. "나는 그 사람을 알지 못하오." 그러자 곧 닭이 울었다.
  2. 베드로는 "닭이 울기 전에, 네가 나를 세 번 부인할 것이다" 하신 예수의 말씀이 생각나서, 바깥으로 나가서 몹시 울었다.
  1. Then he began to call down curses on himself and he swore to them, "I don't know the man!" Immediately a rooster crowed.
  2. Then Peter remembered the word Jesus had spoken: "Before the rooster crows, you will disown me three times." And he went outside and wept bitterly.
 
 
  1. 새벽이 되어서, 대제사장들과 백성의 장로들이 모두 예수를 죽이기로 결의하였다.
  2. 그들은 예수를 결박하여 끌고 가서, 총독 빌라도에게 넘겨주었다.
  3. 그 때에, 예수를 넘겨준 유다는, 그가 유죄 판결을 받으신 것을 보고 뉘우쳐, 그 은돈 서른 닢을 대제사장들과 장로들에게 돌려주고,
  4. 말하였다. "내가 죄 없는 피를 팔아 넘김으로 죄를 지었소." 그러나 그들은 "그것이 우리와 무슨 상관이요? 그대의 문제요" 하고 말하였다.
  5. 유다는 그 은돈을 성전에 내던지고 물러가서, 스스로 목을 매달아 죽었다.
  1. Early in the morning, all the chief priests and the elders of the people came to the decision to put Jesus to death.
  2. They bound him, led him away and handed him over to Pilate, the governor.
  3. When Judas, who had betrayed him, saw that Jesus was condemned, he was seized with remorse and returned the thirty silver coins to the chief priests and the elders.
  4. "I have sinned," he said, "for I have betrayed innocent blood." "What is that to us?" they replied. "That's your responsibility."
  5. So Judas threw the money into the temple and left. Then he went away and hanged himself.
  1. 대제사장들은 그 은돈을 거두고 말하였다. "이것은 피 값이니, 성전 금고에 넣으면 안 되오."
  2. 그들은 의논한 끝에, 그 돈으로 토기장이의 밭을 사서, 나그네들의 묘지로 사용하기로 하였다.
  3. 그 밭은 오늘날까지 피밭이라고 한다.
  4. 그래서 예언자 예레미야를 시켜서 하신 말씀이 이루어졌다. "그들이 은돈 서른 닢, 곧 이스라엘 자손이 값을 매긴 사람의 몸값을 받아서,
  5. 그것을 주고 토기장이의 밭을 샀으니, 주님께서 내게 지시하신 그대로다."
  1. The chief priests picked up the coins and said, "It is against the law to put this into the treasury, since it is blood money."
  2. So they decided to use the money to buy the potter's field as a burial place for foreigners.
  3. That is why it has been called the Field of Blood to this day.
  4. Then what was spoken by Jeremiah the prophet was fulfilled: "They took the thirty silver coins, the price set on him by the people of Israel,
  5. and they used them to buy the potter's field, as the Lord commanded me."
  1. 예수께서 총독 앞에 서시니, 총독이 예수께 물었다. "당신이 유대인의 왕이오?" 그러나 예수께서는 "당신이 그렇게 말하고 있소" 하고 말씀하셨다.
  2. 예수께서는 대제사장들과 장로들이 고발하는 말에는 아무 대답도 하지 않으셨다.
  3. 그 때에 빌라도가 예수께 말하였다. "사람들이 저렇게 여러 가지로 당신에게 불리한 증언을 하는데, 들리지 않소?"
  4. 예수께서 한 마디도, 단 한 가지 고발에도 대답하지 않으시니, 총독은 매우 이상히 여겼다.
  1. Meanwhile Jesus stood before the governor, and the governor asked him, "Are you the king of the Jews?" "Yes, it is as you say," Jesus replied.
  2. When he was accused by the chief priests and the elders, he gave no answer.
  3. Then Pilate asked him, "Don't you hear the testimony they are bringing against you?"
  4. But Jesus made no reply, not even to a single charge--to the great amazement of the governor.
